Sydney Sweeney I Was Pretty Beat Up While Filming 'Christy' ... But It Was Fun!

Published | Updated

Sydney Sweeney's filmed some pretty intense scenes throughout her career ... and she's just revealed she was battered and bruised while working on her new boxing flick "Christy."

The actress sat down for an interview with The Guardian and recalled taking a hands-on approach while filming scenes in the ring ... which would often leave her with concussions and bloody noses.

Sydney wasn't put off by all the rough stuff on set, though ... she said she loved the experience of stepping into the ring and putting up her dukes.

Donald Trump Proposes $2K Check for Americans Claims Tariffs Success, Says Inflation Down

Published

Donald Trump's floating the idea of sharing a chunk of cash from his infamous tariffs with the American public ... with a caveat.

The president posted his idea on Truth Social Sunday, bringing up the concept of doling out "at least" $2,000 in a "dividend" taken from tariffs to many Americans ... except "high income people."

47 claims the country is in a much better place in the months since his tariffs have been imposed on imports shipped to the U.S. ... he described people opposed to his financial policies as "fools." He did not offer any details on how this dividend plan would work. He also claimed there is "almost no inflation."

Millie Bobby Brown Noah Schnapp's My Costar ... And My Kid's Godfather!

Published

Millie Bobby Brown's been tight with her "Stranger Things" castmates ever since she was a kid ... and it looks like she's more than comfortable with them taking care of her daughter.

The actress spoke to "Entertainment Tonight" at the show's Season 5 premiere event on Thursday night and was asked about which of her costars she'd want to babysit her child ... turns out, the answer's all of them!

Waiting for your permission to load TikTok Post.

Millie singled out Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in the hit Netflix show, and revealed he is her baby's godfather ... and it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to think he'll be doing a bit of babysitting in the future.

She also said Sadie Sink would be a good babysitter and described her longtime costar as "very maternal."

The actress said the show's principal cast all turn "into the most gooey soft versions of themselves" whenever her kid is around.

Oh, and several of Millie's castmates apparently put on a "baby voice" when they're around her daughter, but she didn't specify which ones.

FYI ... Millie and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, adopted their baby girl this past August ... and although MBB hasn't shared her daughter's face or name on social media, we're thinking the kid's already got plenty of love from her "Stranger Things" family.

Molecular Biologist James Watson Dead At 97

Published

Molecular biologist James Watson died at a hospice in East Northport, New York, on Thursday. He was 97.

Watson's death was confirmed by his son, Duncan, who said his father had been transferred to the hospice from a hospital after being treated for an infection, according to The New York Times.

The scientist shot to fame in 1953, when he co-discovered the double-helix structure of DNA alongside Francis Crick, and the pair -- as well as Maurice Wilkins -- were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology nine years later for their work.

Watson eventually became the first director of the Human Genome Project, and he also served as the director and chancellor of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where he worked for almost 40 years.

Watson garnered controversy later in his career for making disparaging remarks about the intelligence of Black people in an interview with The Sunday Times of London in 2007.

He eventually sold his Nobel Prize medal in 2014 for $4.1 million to support both his family and various research initiatives, and the medal's buyer, Alisher Usmanov, ended up returning it to him.

Although Watson apologized for his racist remarks and ended up stepping down as chancellor of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, he made similar statements in 2019, according to the Associated Press, after which he lost several honorary titles.

Kelsea Ballerini Motherhood Sounds Pretty Great To Me! ... Says She Wants Kids In New Song

Published

Kelsea Ballerini hasn't been afraid of letting her fans into her personal life through her music ... and she just dropped a bit of juicy info about her plans for the future in a new track.

The singer-songwriter released her newest song, "I Sit In Parks," on Friday -- just a day after revealing she has an EP, "Mount Pleasant," set to debut later this month -- and the track covers some pretty heavy material ... including her desire to become a mother.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

The song deals with Kelsea making observations about a happy family, and she openly wonders if she's missed out on a big opportunity after "chasing things a body clock doesn't wait for" in the song's chorus.

At another point, Kelsea ponders whether the song character wants her freedom "like I wanna be a mother."

Kelsea's had brushes with the potential of motherhood before, and she admitted in a 2023 episode of "Call Her Daddy" the breaking point in her marriage with Morgan Evans was when she realized she wasn't ready for kids.

Kelsea said she told Morgan she was open to freezing her eggs once she turned 30 -- she was 29 when they had their conversation about parenthood -- but he apparently didn't want to wait, and they ended up divorcing in 2022.

Kelsea eventually moved on with Chase Stokes, and although they broke up last month after three years of dating, they were spotted while holding hands in Croatia on Friday, according to People.

'Stranger Things' Creators And EP We Just Wanted Everyone To Feel 'Safe' On Set!

Published | Updated

There's been plenty of buzz about claims of on-set beef between "Stranger Things" castmates Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour ... but the show's higher-ups say they were focused on running a tight ship while filming the show's upcoming fifth season.

FYI ... Millie allegedly filed a bullying and harassment complaint against David -- who plays her onscreen adoptive father on the hit Netflix show -- before they started working on the show's final run.

The show's co-creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, are aware of reports of the alleged bullying ... but they didn't want to talk about it at the show's Season 5 premiere event Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Melania Trump It's Official! I Won The Patriot Of The Year Award!

Published

Melania Trump really must be feeling proud of the red, white, and blue ... because she was just named "Patriot of the Year" at a Fox event.

The First Lady received the award at the Fox Nation Patriot Awards ceremony, which was held at the Tilles Center Concert Hall in Brookville, New York, on Thursday evening, according to Fox News.

Fox News host Sean Hannity presented Melania with the award, declaring the former model is "reinventing the role of America’s First Lady."

Melania then addressed the ceremony's attendees, whom she described as a group of patriots.

The First Lady spoke about defying expectations and innovation, which she sees as "a form of patriotism."

Melania's been active in Washington, D.C. since her husband Donald started his second term in office ... she co-signed the Take it Down Act into law in May, and made an appeal to Vladimir Putin to reunite children displaced by Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine with their families.

Melania's not the first Trump to win the Patriot of the Year award -- Donald was honored with the same distinction last year.

Elon Musk I'm On My Way To Becoming A Trillionaire!

Published

Elon Musk is already the world's richest man ... and he's going to become a whole lot richer, because Tesla's shareholders just approved his new pay package -- which could make him a trillionaire.

The pay package was approved at Tesla's annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas on Thursday, and get this -- there's no salary involved with the package, according to CNN.

Elon doesn't take a salary at the company -- he's awarded stock -- and he'll be paid in the form of up to 423.7 million additional Tesla shares, which he'll get over the course of the next 10 years if he makes certain targets -- the value of the shares is reportedly somewhere in the ballpark of $1 trillion.

Granted, he's gotta hit some very specific marks to earn the shares, which will be distributed in 12 even tranches, and Tesla will have to reach an $8.5 trillion market cap if he wants the full amount.

If Tesla's going to hit the market cap, though, shares will have to rise a cool 466% from today’s stock price, which is a pretty lofty goal.

Elon reportedly floated the possibility of packing up his things and leaving Tesla behind if he didn't get the pay package, although it looks like he'll be sticking around.

And just in case you were wondering, the guy's currently worth $490.1 billion, according to Forbes' Real-Time Billionaires List -- so he's really not too far off from being a trillionaire in any case.

Sean Dunn One Sandwich, Hold The Assault!!! Sandwich-Thrower Found Not Guilty

Published

The Justice Department's case against Sean Dunn turned out to be a tall order ... because a jury of his peers found Washington, D.C.'s so-called "Sandwich Guy" not guilty of misdemeanor assault on Thursday.

FYI ... Dunn was arrested in August after he chucked a sandwich at Customs and Border Patrol Agent Gregory Lairmore during a night out in Washington, D.C.'s U Street corridor.

He was charged with felony assault on law enforcement, and Dunn's actions went viral on social media. Much of D.C.'s population rallied around the former paralegal, who was fired following the incident, according to NBC News.

A federal grand jury rejected the felony charge, however, and Dunn later faced a single misdemeanor count of assault -- which he ended up beating.

Lairmore testified the sandwich "exploded" on him and covered him in mustard and onions ... but a photo showed the hoagie was still wrapped up and mostly intact when it hit the ground.

Lairmore reportedly received gag gifts from his fellow officers ... of a plush sandwich toy and a patch featuring a cartoon of Dunn launching his torpedo sub. Dunn's defense argued the gifts showed the incident was not an impactful event on him.

It's worth noting the jury apparently chowed down on sandwiches while mulling over the case on Thursday. Dunn's gotta be feeling like the verdict wasn't sub-par right about now!

Aimee Lou Wood's acted through lots of tense moments in her career -- anyone remember "The White Lotus" Season 3 finale? And she says Angelina Jolie helped carry her through an intense situation on set.

Wood sat down for a wide-ranging interview with Harper's Bazaar and talked about working on her upcoming flick "Anxious People," in which she's costarring alongside the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" star.

Aimee recalled filming an emotionally taxing scene, and how she was yelled at by a bunch of crew members ... she said she stood up for herself and told the crew exactly what kind of space she needed to complete the scene.

Pelosi said she's proud of what she accomplished during her historic time in Congress ... and she's happiest about having represented the people of San Francisco, where she's lived for decades.

Arizona Dad Dies by Suicide Before Sentencing ... For Toddler Daughter's Hot Car Death

Published | Updated

An Arizona man who pled guilty to the murder of his 2-year-old daughter died the night before he was set to turn himself in to authorities ahead of sentencing ... TMZ has learned.

Christopher Scholtes' November 4 death is being investigated as a suicide, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner in Phoenix confirms to TMZ.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... authorities are looking at carbon monoxide poisoning as a possible cause of death ... but the Maricopa County Medical Examiner will make the final determination. According to the Pima County Attorney's Office in Tucson, he died Tuesday night.

Scholtes left his toddler daughter, Parker, asleep in his car in July last year and went into his house in Marana, a suburb of Tucson. He reportedly played video games and watched porn inside, according to the Arizona Daily Star.

Dylan Dreyer My Estranged Husband And I Couldn't Fix Everything!

Published

Dylan Dreyer just spilled a few key details about her separation from her estranged husband Brian Fichera.

Dreyer -- an NBC meteorologist who co-hosts the third hour of "Today with Jenna & Friends" -- was asked Wednesday by Jenna Bush Hager about the state of her love life ... especially in the wake of her split, which Dylan announced back in July.

Dreyer said she'd separated from her husband after they found issues they couldn't fix ... although she said they'd eventually decided to "move forward as friends."

Dylan said she was able to give a "little more grace" to her estranged husband after their separation -- because the stakes are lower with platonic relationships.

Plus, Brian's not staying far from the family either, because Dylan said he joins them for dinner most of the time.

She emphasized their kids are better off if they have their mom and dad around, so she wants them to stay close to their father.

FYI ... Dylan and Brian tied the knot in 2012, and they share three sons named Cal, Ollie, and Rusty.
