THINKING POSITIVELY

Marlon Jackson isn't paying attention to the negative things people have to say about his late father, Joe, because it's not how he remembers him.

We got Marlon Tuesday at LAX, a day after the Jackson clan gathered together and laid Joe to rest in a private funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park ... the same place where Marlon's brother, Michael, is entombed.

Marlon says the family is doing as well as can be expected. As for criticism that Joe was too harsh on his kids ... Marlon doesn't want to hear it. He wants to hold on to the good memories, of which he says there are many.

Joe died last week after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 89.

Of the famous Jacksons who showed face ... Janet Jackson, La Toya Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Rebbie Jackson, Michael's youngest son Blanket, and, perhaps unsurprisingly, his lifelong partner Katherine ... with whom he had a strained relationship in the last years of his life.

Brandon Church, the brother of country star Eric Church, died after suffering multiple seizures ... TMZ has learned.

Brandon's father, Kenneth, tells us his son had a seizure at his home in Granite Falls, North Carolina Friday and was being transported to the hospital when he suffered another. The second episode appears to have sent Brandon into cardiac arrest.

Tom Brady Hilarious Temper Tantrum While Golfing with Parents

Published | Updated

Tom Brady's epic meltdowns aren't just limited to the football field ... 'cause dude even snaps on the links -- in rounds of golf with his folks!!

TB12 hit the course with his mom, dad and niece on Monday in what shoulda been a fun family time ... until Tom needed two mulligans to get off a tee.

The Pats QB snap-hooked his first shot and screeched out a "DARNIT!!"

His next stroke wasn't any better ... leading to a hat toss.

He finally got it straight on the third swing ... but, if you're counting at home -- he's lyin' five when he gets to his ball in the fairway.

Don't worry ... Tom cooled down eventually to take an adorable pic with his fam.

Obviously, Tom was hamming it up for the camera -- still funny though!

By the way ... his niece, Maya Brady, is a legit softball player -- committed to play at UCLA after her senior season at Oaks Christian next year.

Pretty good genes in that family, huh?

WE'RE ALL HAPPY

Doc Rivers tells TMZ Sports ... trading his son, Austin Rivers, from the Clippers to the Washington Wizards was "the right thing for all of us."

Austin played for his dad on the Clippers from 2014 to 2018. But, last week, the Clippers shipped the 25-year-old to the Wizards in exchange for Marcin Gortat.

"He'll be well," Doc says of his son ... "He'll be good there."

As for Austin, he says the move will be a "great opportunity."

We also asked Doc about rumors his Clippers are going after Kawhi Leonard -- and, while he couldn't drill down on the topic, he told us, "You never know!"

Chargers Rookie Derwin James I Bought Mom Her Dream House!

Chargers star rookie Derwin James just bought his mom the dopest "thanks for raising me" gift ever -- a big-ass house in Florida!!

"I don’t think there is anybody more deserving in the world then her," the ex-FSU safety posted on social media.

Unclear what city the house is in or how much it costs ... but the place looks super nice, complete with two stories and a bunch of palm trees in the yard.

Derwin becomes the latest NFL first-round pick to buy his folks a new home ... NY Giants stud Saquon Barkley dropped more than $400,000 on his mom and dad's new pad just last week!

So ... to the other 30 first-round NFL draft picks -- what have you done for your parents lately?!

Jeremy Meeks I Might Be Gucci, But ... You're On a Target Budget, Son!!!

Published | Updated

With Jeremy Meeks in charge of his son's wardrobe, you'd think the kid would be decked out in designer duds ... but not so much.

Jeremy was spotted at Target in West Hollywood Thursday afternoon with his 9-year-old son, Jeremy Jr., stocking up on some clothes for summer ... and perhaps the upcoming school year. We're told they then continued on ... to Old Navy.

Nothing wrong with some good old-fashioned American clothes for Jr., but it's a far cry from Dad's outfit when he arrived in L.A. Monday from the U.K. ... dripping in thousands of dollars worth of Gucci.

We broke the story ... the hot ex-felon worked out a deal with his ex-wife -- which included cutting her a big check -- to obtain primary physical custody of his son. The 2 will be living together along with Meeks' new baby mama, Chloe Green, and their baby boy, in the U.K. very soon.

Maybe Jeremy Jr. will get some Gucci once he's across the pond too.

Alecia Yelich repped her baby boy -- a 26-year-old outfielder -- in the house hunt ... and got $400,000 knocked off the original listing price of $6 mil ... and the house is sick.

It's a 2,500-square-foot pad -- listed by Cormac and Wailani O’Herlihy from Sotheby’s -- right on the beach off the Pacific Coast Highway in the 'Bu ... and features its own elevator, roof-top patio and wet bar.

No word yet on what Christian owes mom for the assist ... but we're betting one of the house's three bedrooms is hers.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were in attendance in L.A., and the singer gave a short speech about not giving up the fight for families before debuting a new song.

"Orange is the New Black" actress Diane Guerrero also gave an impassioned and tearful speech in D.C. about her own experience of getting separated from her parents when she was 14.

Though the Prez signed an executive order to keep immigrant families together 10 days ago, protests have not died down ... because progress has been reportedly painfully slow.

Jay-Z & Blue Ivy On the Run in Berlin ... No Bey Required

Published | Updated

Jay-Z and Blue Ivy took a breather from the On the Run II Tour with some QT in Berlin Friday, and one part of their usual entourage was noticeably absent.

We usually don't see Jay and Blue without Beyonce -- but Dad seemed to have things under control while chilling in a park. The father-daughter duo even dressed similarly ... tracksuits, sneakers and white tees.

Even on a day off from work -- Bey and Jay play Saturday in Poland next -- Blue and her pops had to travel with plenty of security to stop fans from swarming in the park.

Looks like Blue also had a friend in tow. Pretty sure she's got carte blanche to bring whoever she wants on tour.

LeBron James Risks It All ... JUMPS OFF A CLIFF!

Published | Updated

Here's something no Laker fans (or even Cleveland fans) wanna see -- LeBron James throwing himself off a cliff!!!

But, yeah, it happened ...

LeBron and his superstar kid, Bronny, scaled a cliff in Anguilla on Thursday and essentially dared each other to jump ... which is insane considering the whole risk/reward thing.

LBJ Jr. showed pops how it's done -- jumping without hesitation -- but, when it came time for Daddy to go, he froze up like J.R. Smith in Game 1.

Don't worry, Bron eventually took the leap ... after trying to hype himself up while standing on the ledge.

"It's all about America goddammit," LeBron yelled ... "LET'S GO! LET'S GO! LET'S GO!"

One final war cry -- "BLACK EXCELLENCE!!!"

And then, he jumped.

Bron later commented, "Excuse my language."

At least he didn't hurt himself ...

Pantera Drummer Vinnie Paul To Be Buried in Kiss Casket ... Just Like Brother Darrell

Published | Updated

Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul is going to be laid to rest in his forever hardware, identical to that of his late bandmate and brother ... courtesy of none other than Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

Sources close to Vinnie's family tell TMZ that the recently deceased musician and Pantera co-founder will be buried in a custom KISS casket provided by Simmons and co.

We're told the casket was offered as a gift at Vinnie's family's request. His brother, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott was buried in the original prototype in 2004 after his untimely death. As we reported ... Vinnie died in his sleep this past week, but the cause of death is unknown for now. He was 54.

Vinnie will also be buried in some of his clothes -- including his hat, shoes and flannel ... among other items. We're told Vinnie will be put into the ground Saturday at the same cemetery in Arlington, TX, where Darrell and his mom lie.

A family source tells us a public memorial concert honoring Vinnie is going down Sunday at the Bomb Factory in Dallas at 3:33 CST. The time is said to be a tribute to Darrell -- known as "Dime Time." The event is free, wristbands will be given out at noon.

Paris Jackson 'See You in My Dreams, Grandpa' Shares Final Moments with Joe Jackson

Published | Updated

Paris Jackson was holding Joe Jackson's hand and reminiscing with him about Michael Jackson during her grandfather's final moments.

MJ's daughter posted an emotional tribute to Grandpa Joe, saying "I will cherish every moment with you til the day I die ... being able to hold your hand, lay with you and cuddle you, give you kisses all over your cheeks and forehead, meant more to me than you'll ever know."

She added, "Sharing stories my dad used to tell me about you, telling a joke and hearing you laugh for the last time. My heart is fulling knowing we left each other in that way."

Paris also said there was a steady stream of Joe's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren coming to pay their respects in his final days.

What's interesting about it -- especially the part about Michael's stories about Joe -- is MJ had cut his father out of his will. Michael's 2002 will left a life estate for Katherine Jackson, but nothing for Joe or any of his siblings.

As we reported, Joe made peace with the administrators of Michael's estate, and they'd provided for him in recent years.

It's clear Joe was also at peace with many of his family members ... especially Paris, who closed her message to him with ... "I'll see you in my dreams very very soon."
