UPDATE

8:55 AM PT -- A spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department tells TMZ Sports ... cops arrested the fan, 20-year-old Jacob Bross, for Peace Disturbance.

A Chiefs fan who stormed the field during Sunday night's playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium was absolutely rocked by Bills star Stefon Diggs -- and the wild scene was all captured on video.

The man in a Travis Kelce jersey sprinted onto the turf in the 4th quarter of the heated Buffalo vs. K.C. game ... when, suddenly, Diggs went after him.

In footage shot by a fan in the stands ... you can see the Bills wideout was so pissed over the interruption, he smashed the guy square in the back.

The hit was so hard -- even Tony Romo, who was broadcasting the game for CBS, said on-air, "Diggs took out some frustration on him."

What's crazy -- the fan actually got up after the hard hit ... but he was immediately taken down by stadium security. Authorities then rushed him off the field.

It's unclear if the fan was arrested ... we reached out to cops, but so far, no word back yet.

As for the game -- the guy probably should have stayed in his seat, 'cause he missed an all-time classic. The Chiefs went on to take down the Bills in a wild overtime finish, 42-36.

CHAMPAGNE CELEBRATION

Brittany Matthews doused fans in champagne to celebrate the Chiefs' insane win over the Bills ... shaking up a bottle and spraying it all over the crowd from her suite.

Patrick Mahomes' fiancée was fired up like it was the Super Bowl ... celebrating after her man's 8-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce in overtime, which sealed a 42-36 victory and a spot in the AFC Championship Game.

Mahomes' little brother, Jackson, caught it all on camera -- showing Matthews unloading the entire bottle on fans in the lower bowl.

No word on how the crowd handled the wet celebration -- after all, it was close to freezing in Kansas City -- but we take it folks were too pumped up to care.

Mahomes finished the game with 378 yards and 3 touchdowns through the air and 69 yards and a TD on the ground.

Britt shared the celebration on her IG ... saying, "Chiefs Kingdom, YALL ROCK🔥💯 #nextround"

The party might continue at Arrowhead Stadium if the Chiefs beat Joe Burrow and the Bengals on Jan. 30.

So, if your seats are under Britt's suite -- bring an umbrella!!

THROUGH THICK AND THIN

2 things Tyreek Hill isn't worried about?? The Chiefs' slow star and MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes ... telling TMZ Sports he NEVER sweated either.

We talked to the Chiefs superstar receiver ... and Cheetah makes it very clear the team didn't panic despite the 3-4 start to the season.

"Even though we were going through hard times, guys were still finding a way to have fun with the game," Hill says.

"As a collective group, guys were still like, 'Hey we can turn this thing around. It's still early on. We still got the same players. We still go the same coaches that we got from the past years. We just gotta figure out what's going on.'"

FYI, it wasn't that bad of a start ... unless you haven't lost more than 4 games in any single season since 2017, like the Chiefs.

"We stuck together. We had players' meetings. We did all of that, and we figured it out and we're just gonna continue to keep this thing rollin' baby."

Even Patrick Mahomes struggled at the beginning of the year ... throwing 10 interceptions through the first 8 games.

For reference, Pat threw 6 (2020) and 5 picks (2019) in the last 2 seasons.

But, Hill makes it very clear NOBODY was stressing Pat's play ... or questioning their QB's ability.

"Man, ain't no worried with Pat, man. That's the last person y'all need to worry about," Tyreek tells us.

"That guy literally works his tail off to be great. You see it each and every week, cause playing quarterback is the toughest job, I feel like on the field."

But, everything's right in the world once again.

The Chiefs are 7-4 -- good enough for first place in the division -- and Mahomes again leads the league in passing yards ... and has thrown 25 touchdowns.

Betcha wish your team was this bad.

K.C. Chiefs Vow To Take Care Of Reid Crash Victim ... 'For The Rest Of Her Life'

Published

The Kansas City Chiefs say they're going to make sure the 5-year-old who was seriously injured in the Britt Reid car crash earlier this year is taken of "for the rest of her life."

The NFL team made the announcement Friday ... explaining after working with Ariel Young's family and medical experts -- they've developed a plan to ensure Young will be supported forever.

According to the Chiefs and Ariel's attorney, Tom Porto, the plan will provide Ariel with "world-class medical care and long-term financial stability."

As we previously reported, Young suffered catastrophic injuries after Reid -- a former K.C. Chiefs assistant coach and Andy Reid's son -- allegedly slammed his pickup truck into the back of a vehicle she was in on Feb. 4 in Kansas City.

Young has slowly and steadily recovered since ... and, as part of Friday's announcement, the Chiefs and Porto say she's continuing to get better daily.

They added that even though her recovery process is still "a long road" -- she did attend her first day of school earlier this fall.

Reid, meanwhile, is still facing a felony DWI charge over his alleged role in the car crash. A trial in the case has been set for April 2022.

Tyrann Mathieu I Didn't Tell Fans To 'Sit On A D***' ... After Chiefs Loss

Published | Updated

Tyrann Mathieu says he did not tell Titans fans to "sit on a d***" after the Chiefs' loss Sunday ... calling the reports a straight-up "lie."

The Honey Badger allegedly unleashed the crass insult following K.C.'s 27-3 defeat at Nissan Stadium in Nashville ... with a local reporter tweeting he heard it loud and clear on the sidelines.

"I and another photographer heard him say those words as he turned around to some fans," K.C. sports anchor Harold R. Kuntz said.

Mathieu, though, was quick to deny the allegation ... writing on his own social media page (and then later deleting), "This is a lie!"

"I can’t believe this dude lied on me," Mathieu added in another tweet.

Kuntz said he talked with Chiefs staffers over it all ... and while he regretted tweeting about it and apologized to Mathieu over it -- he stood by his claims.

"I am standing by what I heard, but I should not have tweeted it, in hindsight," Kuntz said. "It was a frustrating game but should not have shared that info on social. For this, I apologize."

Mathieu recorded 6 tackles in the game ... but it wasn't close to enough to help K.C. lock down a win -- and the Chiefs are now just 3-4 in the season despite heading into the year with Super Bowl hopes.

Chiefs Star Frank Clark Hit With Gun Charge ... Over Uzi Arrest

Published | Updated

K.C. Chiefs star Frank Clark has been hit with another gun charge ... this stemming from his June arrest where he allegedly drove around with an uzi in his car.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Clark was pulled over in L.A. back on June 20 for a routine traffic violation, when cops say they saw an uzi sticking out of an open duffle bag in his Lambo SUV.

Clark was arrested and booked for illegal possession of a firearm ... and law enforcement sources tell us L.A. prosecutors formally hit him with one count of possession of an assault weapon this week.

Clark is due in court for a hearing on the matter on Jan. 17 ... one week after the Chiefs' season is scheduled to end.

Of course, Clark was already facing a separate gun charge related to another incident in California on March 13.

In that case, cops say they pulled over the 28-year-old and another man for failing to display a front license plate.

Police say during the stop, they noticed a gun in the car ... and after searching the ride, they say they found two loaded firearms, and arrested both men.

Sources close to Clark at the time claimed the guns did NOT belong to the NFL player -- but rather to a member of his security team.

Clark hasn't had his best season with the legal troubles looming over his head ... he's battled injuries and has just 5 tackles and no sacks in three games.

SUCCESS IN THE SMALL THINGS

Travis Kelce says there IS concern in the Chiefs' locker room over their poor, 1-2 start ... but he tells TMZ Sports he believes that's actually a good thing.

The star tight end revealed K.C. is upset after falling to both the Ravens and the Chargers in back to back games ... saying, "You have to be concerned, right?"

Kelce, though, added, "That's how you find what's wrong, you fix what's wrong."

The 31-year-old said there's nothing too complicated about their issues ... describing them to us as simply small mistakes here and there.

"You know, we've turned the ball over a lot, we missed tackles and it is what it is," Kelce said. "We have to be better all-around on the football field."

Kelce says for him personally, he knows he has to be a better blocker and better route runner even when plays aren't designed for him.

The good news? The Chiefs still have Patrick Mahomes -- and they won't be playing the Ravens and Chargers every week.

Yeah, something tells us Kelce and the Chiefs are going to be just fine.

JUST STEER CLEAR

Patrick Mahomes was clearly less than pleased to see his little brother pouring water on smack-talking Ravens fans ... telling reporters Wednesday, "Obviously it's something we don't necessarily want to do."

Jackson Mahomes was caught on camera dousing Baltimore supporters with a bottle of water following the Chiefs' loss at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday.

The video -- which shows fans jabbing at Jackson after the game before he tossed the liquid all over them -- quickly went viral ... and Patrick said in his weekly meeting with media members that he wasn't thrilled with it all.

The Chiefs star, though, did seem to at least understand the impulsive act ... saying, "There was things said to him and [my fiancée] Brittany that you don't see kind of on the clip."

Still, Patrick is hoping Jackson learns from the situation and deals with it in a different manner going forward.

"He's been good at not trying to respond to that stuff," Patrick said. "He takes a lot and he's usually pretty good at it."

"He'll learn from it and just try to stay away from those people best he can."

Jackson has been a mainstay at his older brother's games throughout his career ... and, despite Sunday's incident, he's still expected to be on the sidelines and in the stands at Patrick's games going forward.

In footage of the incident, you can hear people telling the younger Mahomes, "I'm so sorry for you! I'm so sorry for you!"

Another fan added, "Go home, Jackson!"

Eventually, Jackson grew so annoyed with the ribbing ... he pulled out a water bottle, unscrewed the cap, and threw the contents all over the Ravens supporters.

Jackson then headed up the stairs to get inside one of the suites at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Baltimore fans didn't appear to be too shaken up by the water-tossing ... they celebrated with glee after Jackson left his seat.

Chiefs' Eric Bieniemy Not Worried About USC Rumors ... Focusing On KC!!

Published

STAYING FOCUSED

Urban Meyer ain't the only one shutting down USC rumors -- so is Kansas City Chiefs' OC Eric Bieniemy ... telling reporters Thursday, "I am focused on the task at hand."

The first question at Bieniemy's press conference wasn't about his teams week 2 game against the Ravens ... but the rumors about him being a candidate for USC's head football coaching vacancy.

EB immediately laughed at the reporters inquiry ... saying, "You know me."

"You guys know me. I am where my feet are. So, when it’s all said and done with, I am focused on the task at hand."

Bieniemy added, "I’m not worried about anything like where my name is being mentioned. My job right now is to make sure that we’re preparing for this weekend’s opponent.”

Another reporter followed up, asking *hypothetically* what Eric would do if USC hit him up, and again, Bieniemy shut down the question.

"If USC reached out to me right now, my answer would be, ‘I am preparing for this team to play against the Baltimore Ravens.’ That’s how I roll. You guys know that."

"My job is to make sure we’re ready to play a complete, sound, 60-minute football game where we can come out and win the game."

Honestly, it'd be hard to blame EB if he had interest in one of the premiere college football jobs ... after he was passed up for several head coaching gigs in the off-season.

But, it certainly appears Bieniemy is committed to sticking with KC this season.

So, you can breathe, Chiefs fans (for now, at least).
