Jeter has expressed interest in owning an MLB team for years -- and has even gotten the blessing of the Steinbrenner family.
Both Jeter and Bush have homes in Florida.
We've reached out to Jeter's people and Jeb's camp for comment -- so far, no word back.

Facebook Killer Steve Stephens McDonald's Employees Who Spotted Him In Line for Reward
The McDonald's employees who called the cops on the Facebook killer are going to get the $50,000 reward ... at least if law enforcement has its way.
We spoke with local and federal law enforcement officials who tell us ... they believe the employees were the lynchpin that caused cops to corner Steve Stephens in Erie, PA. As you know, Stephens killed himself.
As for the reward, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said, "There is an award up to $50,000 for the arrest of Mr. Steve Stephens. The money comes from the FBI, ATF and U.S. Marshal Service."
Sticklers could argue no one should get the award because Stephens wasn't arrested, but there have been similar cases over the years where law enforcement determined the reward conditions were met.
The law enforcement officials with whom we spoke say it's clear ... the McDonald's employees made the difference. They spotted Stephens and stalled him at the drive-thru so cops could make their move.
We're told so far there have been no official meetings on the reward, but it sounds like the employees are in for a big surprise.

Facebook Killer Cops Now Offering $50k Reward
Police are going all out to locate Facebook killer Steve Stephens ... including offering a huge reward.
Cleveland police chief Calvin Williams just announced the $50,000 reward for any information leading to Stephens' arrest. The reward comes on the heels of police saying the manhunt now covers up to 5 states.
The ATF, FBI and Crimestoppers are all chipping in to cover the reward.
Chief Williams is still imploring Stephens to turn himself in ... or at least contact a friend or relative.
Stephens shot and killed 74-year-old Roger Godwin, Sr. Sunday in Cleveland, then uploaded video of the murder.

Lil Uzi Vert I Dropped $220k to Put Marilyn Manson Around My Neck
Lil Uzi Vert is officially the biggest Marilyn Manson fan ... unless you know of any others who spent six figures to make an iced out pendant in his likeness.
Uzi was rocking his newest piece at Coachella this weekend. The image of Manson rockin' Mickey Mouse ears is damn near priceless -- the chain and pendant together are made up of 16,000 diamonds totaling 155 carats.
Celeb jeweler Ben Baller delivered the goods to Uzi on Sunday, and IF & Co. Jewelers made it for $220k. We're told the labor alone cost $50,000.
Manson is the only person Uzi follows on IG, so his love for the rocker is deep ... and expensive.
Ben Affleck, Jen Garner Moving, Moving On and Dating
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have not even started the process of figuring out who gets what in the divorce, because they made a real attempt during their separation to work things out rather than just end things.
Sources on both sides say there's no animosity between Ben and Jen. We've learned Ben's now dating someone, though "not seriously." He's moving out of the family guesthouse and into a new home. As one source said, "He's ready to move on."
As for Jen ... we're told she cares deeply for Ben, but his stint in rehab was the culmination of a difficult period for the family and she too felt it's now the right time to end the marriage.
We're told Ben and Jen never discussed dividing assets because they were ambivalent about the divorce, so now they have to deal with a fortune in assets. As we reported, there is no prenup, so everything goes into one pot ... property, art and other items must be valued, sold or split.
It will take a minimum of 6 months before the divorce is final, and sources say because of the amount of property, it will probably take longer.

Jas Prince Sues Birdman Over Drake Contract ... Shady Deals Gonna Cost Ya
Jas Prince is following through on the promise his father made -- going directly after Birdman to get the millions in Drake profits the Cash Money honcho's been sitting on ... according to a new lawsuit.
In the new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Jas calls out Birdman and his brother Ronald "Slim" Williams -- co-founders of Cash Money -- for failing to pay up on the Drake deal.
Quick backstory: Jas discovered Drizzy, hooked him up with Aspire Music Group to manage him, and Cash Money to be his label. As a result, Drake's Young Money contract calls for Jas and Aspire to get paid.
And that's the problem ... according to the suit, Birdman's blowing off his contractual duty to pay Aspire Music one-third of his Drake profits. He also signed Drake to an exclusive deal in January 2013, but according to docs ... that new contract breached Drake's original one, and cheated Aspire out of $4 million.
Aspire filed the new lawsuit, but sources connected to the case tell us Jas is calling the shots ... as he now owns a chunk of Aspire. He'd previously sued Cash Money, but we're told Jas is going harder than ever now to get the money straight from Birdman.
How hard? One of Aspire's attorneys is Marc Kasowitz, who also famously reps President Trump.
We've reached out to Birdman's reps, but no word back.
Just last week, Jas' father ... James Prince vowed he would get the money Birdman owes his son AND Lil Wayne. Based on his words, someone's ass is on the line in this case.
Shaquille O'Neal Pays for Funeral of Teen Who Accidentally Shot Himself

Shaq heard the sad news and visited the family's home in Atlanta Thursday night and offered to pay for Malachi's services.
The NBA legend says he wants to help the family deal with the tragedy.
The boy's grandmother said the family didn't have insurance for Malachi, so Shaq's gesture is "a blessing and very touching" and she appreciates everything he does for the community.

Ryan Lochte Protesters Pay 'DWTS' Thousands To Avoid Prosecution
The 2 protesters who bum-rushed Ryan Lochte during his live season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" have cut a deal to avoid time behind bars ... but it cost them a fortune.
Sources tell us the judge and the L.A. City Attorney's Office dropped the case after the protesters agreed to pay BBC Worldwide Productions -- which owns 'DWTS' -- and CBS -- where the show was filmed -- $20,000.
Here's the way the law goes ... there's something called a "civil compromise." It means if someone is charged with certain crimes, they can have the charges dismissed if they work out a deal with the victims.
The protesters faced 6 months in jail after being charged with leaving a spectator area and entering upon a stage as well as interfering with a performance -- both misdemeanors.
As we first reported, the protesters went to 'DWTS' because they felt Ryan's bad behavior in Brazil was the reason one of their family members got busted for something unrelated ... out of revenge for the U.S.

Mack Wilds Drops $35k to Upgrade '95 Chain
Mack Wilds' treasured '95 pendant is looking so shiny and new, 'cause that's what $35k worth of diamonds tend to do.
Mack's had the chain for a while -- The Ninety Five Percent is his company -- but he just added the major coat of quality rocks. Nothing but VS-1 and F colored diamonds (that's primo) covering the 14-carat yellow gold emblem. Jewelers David Bling and Will Da Boss did the flashy enhancements.
We're told Mack threw down the dough for the new piece because he's had a good year -- 2 TV shows, "Shots Fired" and "The Breaks," and his 2nd album, "After Hours," just dropped.
His company motto is "No such thing as 100% in life because if you ain't growing, you dying."
Mack's jewelry collection agrees.

Morena Baccarin Spousal Support Discount Judge Shaves $15k!
Morena Baccarin won big in court Thursday -- a judge greatly reduced the amount of spousal support she has to pay her ex, partly because her TV and movie gigs ain't a lock just yet.
Morena's lawyer, Samantha Spector, told a judge her client's income was truly up in the air, and she couldn't afford to keep paying Austin Chick $20k per month.
Spector pointed out Morena's TV show, "Gotham," hadn't been picked up yet for a 4th season -- and she's not a lock for "Deadpool 2" either. She also argued Austin could support himself with a j-o-b ... at Starbucks.
Morena's been fighting to get this discount, claiming Chick was sucking her finances dry instead of finding work. As of June 1, she'll only have to pay him $5k/month.
We got Morena leaving court with her "Gotham" co-star/BF, Ben McKenzie. They were both tight-lipped, but Morena's grin said a lot.

Jared originally put the Hollywood Hills home on the market in November for $1,999,000, but there were no takers so he took the sign down.
The house has just gone back on the market for the same price. Why, you ask, didn't he reduce it? Well, The Joker made some improvements -- landscaping and a fresh coat of paint.
Jared bought the 4 bedroom, 3 bath home more than a decade ago for around the same price.
