Lindsay Lohan -- forever in search of a career resurrection -- is now setting her sights on reigniting her singing career ... TMZ has learned.

Lindsay was in a New York City recording studio over the weekend, experimenting with various tracks. Lindsay has one hit under her belt -- "Confessions of a Broken Heart" -- which is in the pop genre, but we're told she's now more interested in EDM.

Our sources say Lindsay has not signed with a label yet but that's what she's gunning for.

We're told Lindsay has gotten advice and support from friends, including Lady Gaga and Max from The Wanted.

Lindsay Lohan hit the town in NYC last night, and we're happy to report ... no one got their face punched in.

Lindsay showed up at Pravda -- a caviar bar -- for an event hosted by a company that launched a new karaoke app. She showed up at 7 PM and left at 9.

As far as we can tell ... it was all surprisingly undramatic. She walked in calm, left calm and looked good.

Lindsay Lohan's new tell-all book project has a new wrinkle ... if she tells all she'll end up smack in the middle of a lawsuit between her mom and her dad.

Michael Lohan believes when it comes to writing about Lindsay's childhood, Dina Lohan will tell her daughter defamatory stories about Michael.

So we've learned Michael's lawyer just sent a threatening letter to Dina, reminding her about the gag order which was imposed in their divorce ... the gag order which states, ""The wife shall not, directly or indirectly, publish, or cause to be published, any diary, memoir, letter, story" blah blah blah involving her marriage to Michael.

The Lohan's have a lot to tell, if they tell the truth.

Lindsay Lohan has decided to open the flood gates -- penning a gritty, tell-all book about EVERYTHING ... her arrests, her drug abuse, her acting career, and her family ... and she's already gotten several serious publishing offers.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ, the book started as a series of journal entries, which she wrote in rehab as a therapeutic exercise. The book is still in its early stages, and it doesn't have a clear focus, but she says she wants to open up every part of her life.;

Lindsay met with a huge literary agency in NYC Thursday -- Waxman Leavall, which has repped tons of celebs who wrote books, including Victor Cruz, Novak Djokovic, Bill Murray, Brock Lesnar, and Cal Ripken Jr.

The meeting was filmed as part of Lindsay's docu-series on OWN.

Here's the problem -- it's Lindsay's life as told by Lindsay, which means we'll be reading her version of events.

So we gotta ask ...

Lindsay Lohan is back in New York City ... acting like she doesn't have a care in the world.

We got Lindsay as she came to the front door of her apartment building to let daddy Lohan inside.

As for Lindsay's state of mind re: the coke-fueled Miami party last Friday that ended with a beatdown of Paris Hilton's little brother ... Michael tells us, "Lindsay thinks it's a joke that people are blaming her."

Michael says Lindsay is sticking to her story ... there were only 5 people in the house and no drugs when she went to sleep at 1:15 AM, and when she woke up at 9:30 AM the place with filled with people and coke.

Here they are ... pics of the drug aftermath at Lindsay Lohan's mansion party in Miami ... showing two burned out joints and something that appears to be the remnants of a baggie of cocaine.

TMZ already reported there was coke and booze EVERYWHERE at the party before things got violent ... and now, we've got pics of the mansion taken after everyone left the scene.

It's unclear who the drugs belonged to ... but Lindsay's camp insists the actress kept her nose clean the entire night ... and didn't booze either.

Still, Lindsay knows ... insane mansion parties in Miami aren't exactly bastions of sobriety ... and Lohan (who's still on probation) knows she shouldn't have put herself in that situation in the first place.

In fact, we're told after the rager ... and subsequent fight ... we're told Lindsay scrambled to find a private jet to get her ass out of town ... calling several private jet owners hoping to call in a favor.

Eventually, she found a ride ... and in a pic obtained by TMZ, you can see Lindsay smiling on the plane ... as if she doesn't have a care in the world.

Paris Hilton has a message for Lindsay Lohan -- and the guy who allegedly put Paris' younger brother in the hospital this week after beating him down -- WATCH YOUR BACK!!!!

Barron Hilton posted a photo of his jacked up face on Instagram Saturday -- showing the aftermath of his brawl with a guy he claims punched the crap out of him at LiLo's request ... and it fired Paris up.

Paris commented on the pic saying, "They both will pay for what they did. No one f***s with my family and gets away with it!!"

And she even added TWO hot-head emoticons to show she means business.

For what it's worth -- Lindsay and her dad deny she had anything to do with the incident ... even though there's video telling a different story.

Barron Hilton's injuries from a beat down -- which he claims Lindsay Lohan masterminded -- have gotten serious enough that he's seeking emergency treatment in Miami ... TMZ has learned.

Paris Hilton's bro is staying at the Fontainebleau Hotel ... where an ambulance arrived last night to take him to the hospital.

TMZ broke the story ... Barron was partying at a Miami mansion early Friday morning when he says Lindsay accused him of talking trash, and then had a male friend beat the crap out of him.

Barron was left bloodied with several cuts to his face -- and sources close to the Hiltons tell us the injuries are so bad ... he was advised to seek medical treatment immediately.

We're told Barron turned down the ambulance at his hotel, and instead got private transport to the University of Miami Hospital ... where he received various treatments -- including a CT scan.

Lindsay and her father, Michael Lohan, deny she was involved in the incident at all ... though video outside the party suggests otherwise.

Cocaine and booze were in abundance at Lindsay Lohan's party where Barron Hilton was beaten to a pulp ... multiple sources tell TMZ.

Our sources say a number of people at the party were snorting and drinking non-stop. Sources connected with Lindsay insist she was NOT partaking and even threw some of the druggies out of the party.

Now check this out ... the video showing Barron confronting Lindsay was shot around 11AM EST Friday ... the party having started the night before.

Paris Hilton's little brother Barron Hilton was jumped this morning -- and beaten to a pulp -- and he claims Lindsay Lohan masterminded the attack, TMZ has learned.

We know Lindsay's denying she ordered the hit -- in fact, she claims she wasn't even on the scene at the time of the incident -- but now we have video (above) that proves otherwise. It shows Barron (blonde hair, white shirt) and his friends confronting LiLo right after the attack.

Multiple sources connected to the situation tell us ... Barron attended a party last night at a Miami mansion where Lindsay has been staying while she's in town for an art festival -- a party that lasted until well after the sun came up.

We're told ... during the party, someone accused Barron of talking smack about Lindsay -- and a short time later he was attacked and beaten to a pulp. TMZ obtained a photo of the damage.

We know ... 24-year-old Barron spoke with police following the incident. He claims Lohan orchestrated the beating.

Barron told cops Lindsay approached him at the party with a male friend and began screaming, "'You talk sh*t about me to my boyfriend, this is what you get."

As the guy proceeded to pummel Barron, Hilton claims Lindsay was laughing and egging him on.

Cops were called to the scene and interviewed Barron. We're told Barron doesn't know the identity of his attacker but is adamant Lindsay is the person behind the attack.

We spoke to Michael Lohan who insists Lindsay had nothing to do with the attack and had left the mansion BEFORE the fight went down.

Michael claims there are several witnesses -- including security guards -- who will back up Lindsay's alibi.

Michael says Lindsay was adamant she didn't want to be around any trouble ... i.e. drugs, alcohol, violence ... and even had people removed from the house before the fight ever went down.

Problem with that alibi is -- the video of Barron nearly face-to-face with Lilo outside the mansion ... just moments after the fight.

Lindsay's had bad blood with the Hiltons for years -- stemming back to when Paris' friend Brandon Davis went on the infamous "firecrotch" rant back in 2006.

Rehab does a body good ... at least for Lindsay Lohan, who strapped on a one-piece bathing suit and flaunted around her 27-year-old physique in Miami today.

It's the first time Lindsay's really shown off her body since leaving court-ordered rehab back in July, stemming from a reckless driving conviction.

Lilo is in south Florida for Art Basel ... which is a huge international art show -- described as the premiere showcase for Modern and contemporary works of art.

For the record, it's 78 in Miami today ... in December.

Lindsay Lohan won't put her ass on just any piece of furniture ... that's why she packed up her crappy old sofa and banished it from her swanky NYC apartment.

A moving truck and crew pulled up to Lilo's chi-chi SoHo crib yesterday -- which led to speculation she was moving out -- but sources tell us they were simply there to load up the old couch and deliver a brand spankin' new one.

Sources say Lindsay's been living in the $16,000 a month pad while shooting her docu-series for Oprah Winfrey's cable network -- so the apartment doubles as a set for the show.

Lindsay Lohan is practicing the safest kind of sex -- NONE -- because she's too busy focusing on her career to worry about boys ... sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ.

According to sources, Lindsay's laughing off reports she's hooking up with Liam Neeson's 18-year-old son, Michael ... claiming they're only friends and have been for quite a while.

In fact, sources tell us, Lindsay hasn't been dating ANY of the people she's been reportedly seeing recently, including male models Morgan O'Connor (a friend of a friend) and Liam Dean (whom she met on a photo shoot).

Lindsay Lohan has called in her lawyers to take action against 'Grand Theft Auto V' ... claiming video game honchos jacked her image without her permission ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell us, Lohan's lawyers are currently crafting a lawsuit -- demanding Rockstar Games pay some serious money for using Lindsay's image in the game.

So the question ... did 'GTAV' really use Lindsay. Here's the evidence:

-- The video game cover shows a woman holding a cellphone who looks Lindsay-ish. There's been debate over whether it looks more like Kate Upton or Shelby Welinder.

-- Part of the game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to take her home and escape the paparazzi.

-- Another part of the game shows another Lindsay-like character at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood -- a place Lindsay not only frequents but once lived at -- and the mission is to photograph her having sex on camera.

So we gotta ask:

Michael Lohan wants 2 things to burn in hell ... Dina Lohan and her book ... a book he wants stopped.

Michael was contacted by Birdstreet Books this week, informing him Dina had written a tell-all and he was a featured player. It seems Birdstreet wanted Michael to sign off, but not so fast -- Michael said he wants to see what she wrote ... line for line.

And Mr. Lohan reminded the publishing house ... he and Dina are under a gag order, and that applies to books, so she can't legally write trash about him.

Dina Lohan has something going on in her head, and the judge in her DUI case wants to know the contents ... because he just ordered a full psych evaluation.

Dina was in court this AM for her DWI case. Her lawyer, Mark Heller, claims she's alcohol free but the judge isn't necessarily buyin' what he's sellin'.

So now Dina has to get her head shrunk by a court-appointed shrink.

Lohan pled not guilty to DWI in Sept. ... after blowing a .20. Heller blamed Dina's legal predicament on the paparazzi ... claiming Dina is stressed out by the mob of photogs that follow her ... and that's what caused her to flee in a drunken state.

The judge did not impose a sentence today -- he'll wait for the psych report -- but he did say he's considering a stiff penalty -- revoking her driving privileges for 12 months ... and 100 hours of community service.
