Susan Sarandon Apologizes For Anti-Jewish Remarks At Rally
Susan Sarandon is now walking back antisemitic remarks she delivered at a pro-Palestinian rally in NYC last month ... offering her apologies to anyone she offended.
The actress posted a lengthy statement on Instagram Friday night, explaining that she made a "terrible mistake" when she said Jews are “getting a taste of what it is like to be Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence.”
Susan uttered the words in front of a large crowd at the November 17 rally in Manhattan's Union Square.
The demonstrators were protesting against the Israel-Hamas war, which broke out after the terrorist group invaded the Jewish state on October 7. Hamas militants, who rule over the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, slaughtered some 1,400 Jews, including babies.
In her IG post, Susan said she was invited to the event, but was not supposed to speak, yet ended up on stage with a mic in her hand, trying to communicate concerns about a rise in hate crimes throughout the country.
Waiting for your permission to load TikTok Post.
She pointed out the controversial phrasing she used falsely implied that Jews have not faced persecution. She then highlighted centuries of Jewish oppression and genocide in Europe, as well as the Tree of Life shooting in Pittsburgh, PA.
Susan went on to say she "deeply regrets diminishing the reality" and for voicing her hurtful remarks.
The Oscar-winner was dropped by her Hollywood talent agency following the incident.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Meets With Israeli Survivors Of Hamas Attack
Arnold Schwarzenegger is speaking out against the barbaric, unprovoked Hamas attack on Israel ... meeting with survivors and their families.
The former governor of California got emotional as he condemned the Oct. 7 slaughter of innocent civilians ... saying it's unlike anything he's ever seen and offering his support for Israel.
Arnold met with family members of Israeli hostages who are still being held by Hamas in Gaza .. presenting them with bronze eagle statues.
After the meeting, Arnold told us he's looking to spread peace ... because it's more powerful than hate and anger.
14-year-old Ella Shani was among the survivors traveling from Israel to Santa Monica to meet Arnold ... she recounted how her father was murdered on Oct. 7 by Hamas terrorists at Kibbutz Beeri, and how her 16-year-old cousin Amit Shani was kidnapped.
Ella says her cousin was hiding in a safe room in his home when Hamas set the place on fire and broke down the door. She says Amit and two other Israeli men from a neighboring house were ordered into a car, kidnapped and taken to Gaza.
As Ella spoke for about 30 minutes, Arnold teared up ... and they hugged in the end. He also showed her some of his cool movie memorabilia, like a robot head from 'Terminator.'
The meeting was organized by the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem -- Arnold has partnered with the museum for years.

Rep. George Santos just got booted from Congress ... after the House voted to expel him following a controversial time in office, which includes multiple felony charges.
Santos is the first member of Congress not convicted of a felony to be expelled since the Civil War. Only 6 members have been expelled in U.S. history.
The vote to expel Santos was 311 - 114. Among those voting to expel ... 105 Republicans.
A defiant Santos refused to resign Thursday before Friday's vote ... but he's out of Congress now nonetheless.
Remember ... Santos was arrested back in May on a variety of felony charges, including lying, wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and making false statements to the House of Representatives.
Santos had escaped two previous votes to expel him from Congress, but the third time was not a charm for him.
The difference this time ... a recent House Ethics Committee report claiming evidence of Santos' alleged federal law violations. Among the report's juicy claims -- Santos allegedly used campaign funds for OnlyFans and Botox.
10/13/23
During his time in office, Santos was surrounded by controversy and accusations of lying his way to Congress ... he made a few friends, but even more enemies ... often sparring with media and, most recently, some anti-Israel protestors.
So long, George, we hardly knew ya. 👋🏽

Justice Sandra Day O'Connor First Woman on Supreme Court Dead at 93
Sandra Day O'Connor, the first female justice on the Supreme Court, has died.
Justice O'Connor passed away Friday morning in Phoenix, AZ ... the court announced her death in a statement, saying she died, "of complications related to advanced dementia, probably Alzheimer’s, and a respiratory illness."
O'Connor made history in 1981 when she was appointed to the High Court by President Ronald Reagan. She was considered a moderate conservative, and often made the difference on the 9-person Court when it came to momentous decisions.
The Stanford Law School grad tackled the biggest social issues in the country, including abortion, affirmative action, and even presidential elections. She voted in 2000 to stop the recount in Florida in the race between Al Gore and George W. Bush ... her vote was part of the majority that secured Bush's election.
After leaving the Court in 2006, she bemoaned how it had swung way to the right, undoing some of her decisions over her 24-year tenure.
Chief Justice John Roberts said of Justice O'Connor, "A daughter of the American Southwest, Sandra Day O’Connor blazed an historic trail as our Nation’s first female Justice. She met that challenge with undaunted determination, indisputable ability, and engaging candor.”
Five women have followed in O'Connor's footsteps ... Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Amy Coney Barrett and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
O'Connor was 93.

Ron DeSantis Vs. Gavin Newsom Here's the Real Poop!!! DeSantis Craps on San Fran
Gavin Newsom went toe-to-toe with Ron DeSantis on the debate stage Thursday, trading blows on a variety of important issues impacting the country, including human feces!!
The California Guv and his Florida counterpart went at each other onstage during the Fox News debate hosted by Sean Hannity -- but the 1.5-hour conversation took an unusual turn when DeSantis brought up poop on the sidewalks of San Francisco.
DeSantis held up a photo of the excrement-laden Northern California city, explaining that human waste on the streets is a way of life now in SF.
The 2024 Republican presidential candidate also pointed out that Newsom only cleaned up the City recently for a visit from Chinese dictator Xi Jinping.
Newsom appeared flustered, nervously laughing and calling it all nonsense.
The "Great Red State Versus Blue State Debate" had some other tense moments, like when DeSantis accused his Democrat rival of running a shadow campaign for prez.
Gavin Newsom is directly asked if he is running a shadow campaign for when Joe Biden drops out during the DeSantis Newsom debate.
— Eric Abbenante (@EricAbbenante) December 1, 2023 @EricAbbenante
"Joe Biden will be our nominee in a matter of weeks. In a matter of weeks Sean, he'll [Desantis] be endorsing Donald Trump"
We might have to revisit… pic.twitter.com/tOw5yEP3JF
But, Newsom didn't take the bait, throwing his support behind current president and 2024 democratic frontrunner Joe Biden. He pointed to Biden's record of creating "fourteen million jobs, 10 times more than the last three Republican presidents combined.”
DeSantis then took aim at Biden's US-Mexico border crisis, saying the Democrats are lying to the public about the issue as millions of undocumented migrants have poured into the country.
Newsom returned fire, blasting DeSantis for busing migrants from the Texas border to Martha's Vineyard “so that you can out-Trump Trump.” He then mocked DeSantis' poll numbers, saying, "You’re down 41 points in your own state."
There were more fireworks when DeSantis botched the name of VP Kamala Harris. Newsom quickly corrected DeSantis and chastised him ... “Shame on you. It’s Madame Vice President to you.”
The governors also attacked each other on crime, taxes, abortion, environmental protections and the Coronavirus pandemic.
All in all, it was a very heated debate with both governors landing blows, however there was no clear winner. But, given the questioning was clearly anti-Newsom, he deserves credit for going into the Republican lion's den.

Rep. LAUREN BOEBERT Scores Selfie with DAVE CHAPPELLE ... No Hands-On Experience!!!
Dave Chappelle has a couple of U.S. Congresswomen full-on fangirling -- and since one of 'em is Rep. Lauren Boebert, ya couldn't blame Dave if he asked her to keep her hands in clear view!
Boebert and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna snapped a selfie alongside the comedian Thursday in the Capitol -- and the Colorado congresswoman turned the moment into a platform for her anti-LGBTQ views. She captioned her IG post, "Just three people who understand that there are only two genders 😄."
A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ Dave had no intent on getting political with the photo op, and it was a spontaneous moment. He's in D.C. for an "Art is Activism" event at Duke Ellington School of the Arts ... which is, famously, Dave's high school alma mater.
We're told he went to meet some friends -- not politicians -- who work on Capitol Hill, and ended up running into several members of Congress, including Lauren and Anna, who scrambled for pics.
Ya gotta imagine Dave had a bunch of jokes bouncing around his head upon seeing Rep. Boebert -- considering all the buzz earlier this year when she was getting super handsy in the dark with her date at a Denver theatre. While watching "Beetlejuice," no less!
While she took some responsibility for fooling around -- chalking it up to having some good ol' me time -- she said she's since kicked the guy to the curb, because he's a Democrat.

Henry Kissinger Dead at 100
Henry Kissinger, one of the most powerful and influential Secretaries of State in U.S. history ... the man who helped shape foreign policy in the United States for decades, is dead.
The famous statesman, diplomat, author and scholar died Wednesday at his home in Connecticut. The cause of death is unclear.
Kissinger was widely considered the most powerful secretary of state since World War II, serving as a top advisor for presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
During the 1970s, Kissinger negotiated America's exit from the war in Vietnam, helped open the U.S. to China, stabilized relations between Israel and Arab countries in the Middle East and eased tensions with the Soviet Union. He won the Nobel Prize for his Vietnam peace efforts, but critics say Kissinger saw the handwriting on the wall -- maintaining a democracy in Vietnam was a losing battle -- and negotiated the peace agreement as a face-saver.
Sure enough, it didn't take long for democracy to fail. Critics think the peace deal was a way of getting some space before democracy fell, so the U.S. wouldn't look bad.
He was always controversial -- both revered and reviled. He was praised for opening up China and resetting U.S. relations with Russia, but he also engineered the secret carpet-bombing of Cambodia. And he was central to the effort to topple the democratically-elected president of Chile.
When Kissinger wasn't shaping U.S. foreign policy, he was cultivating a playboy image in Hollywood ... dating movie stars like Candice Bergen, Shirley MacLaine, Jill St. John and Liv Ullman.
Kissinger was born in Germany and fled to the U.S. with other Jewish immigrants as a teenager way back in 1938 ... studying at Harvard before climbing the ranks in Washington D.C.
Despite leaving the federal government in 1977, Kissinger remained a prominent influence on foreign policy and business ... though his legacy is celebrated by some and despised by others.
1/25/18
Kissinger was 100.

MARK CUBAN RUN FOR PRESIDENT? THAT'S 'GALAXIES OFF!!!'
Mark Cuban says there's "no chance" he's trying to campaign his way into the White House ... following speculation he might run for President in 2024 after selling a majority stake in the NBA's Dallas Mavericks.
Comments of the supposed political move flooded in on X ... though the billionaire tells TMZ that a presidential campaign trail for next year was "galaxies off" and adding, "family would disown me."
Remember ... after years of building his empire, Mark is putting family first -- announcing on the Showtime podcast "All The Smoke" Monday he was leaving "Shark Tank" after 16 seasons as it conflicts with his personal time.
And of course ... becoming President -- arguably the busiest job in the world -- wouldn't do a whole lot to clear up his schedule.
OCTOBER 2017
However, he's entertained the idea before, divulging to Harvey on "OBJECTified" in 2017 that he'd run as a Republican to challenge Donald Trump. In 2019, Mark told us his family "voted down" his serious desire to run for President in 2020.
The renewed political chat gained traction after TMZ Sports confirmed Mark was selling his majority stake, reportedly valued at $3.5B, to Miriam Adelson ... getting a massive return on the investment after buying the team in 2000 for $285 million.
Mark Cuban Sells Majority Stake In NBA's Dallas Mavericks
He'll retain some shares and be the lead decision-maker when it comes to basketball ops -- but billionaire widow/heiress Adelson has some plans of her own for the Mavs ... mainly building a new arena and casino -- if a gambling bill passes in Texas.
As for Mark ... he'll have a lot more free time on his hands ... and who knows, maybe the Oval Office will be calling his name in 2028 ...

L.A. Mayor Karen Bass Biden Ain't Too Old for Presidency

Exclusive

Joe Biden's age has come under scrutiny as 2024 approaches, but a fellow Dem is going to bat for him ... none other than Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
Mayor Bass -- who served in Congress before her current gig -- told us Wednesday, all the haters who suggest JB is way too old to give the White House another go need to look no further than what he's already done for the country.
According to Bass, his record speaks for itself ... and she's not sure what else he can do to convince people he's fit to extend his tenure.
Frankly, it's no surprise Bass is backing Biden -- that's the party line, and just about every Democrat will say the exact same thing with a camera in their face. Behind the scenes, however, many Dems are singing a different tune. The polls are ominous ... Trump's beating Biden and the President's approval rating has sunk to 39%.
The mayor's playing good good soldier for her party and President, and when we brought up the prospect of Gavin Newsom coming up to the plate ... she says she won't even talk about that until 5 years from now.
One last thing ... Bass says the alternative to Joe is Trump -- and she sees that as a non-starter, and more than enough reason to pull the lever for POTUS again next year.

President Biden Heckled by Pro-Palestine Crowd ... During Nantucket Getaway
If President Biden thought he could escape the Israel-Palestine noise for the holiday weekend, he was wrong -- 'cause he was met with furious pro-Palestine protesters in New England, but didn't pay them any mind.
Joe was out and about with the rest of the First Family in Nantucket, MA Friday ... just a day after Thanksgiving, where he and the Biden gang were strolling around out in public -- with a crap ton of Secret Service agents all around.
Shouts of “Free Palestine!” from some@in the crowd in Nantucket as @POTUS and @FLOTUS walked out for a shopping trip. pic.twitter.com/GYimYqfHiD
— Jeff Mason (@jeffmason1) November 24, 2023 @jeffmason1
There were some regular folks who stood by and said hi to POTUS ... but just across the street was a different reception to his presence -- namely, angry/rambunctious demonstrators.
Check out the video to see what exactly they were shouting from a distance -- it was a lot of the same stuff we've heard echoed in protests all over the country since this whole conflict kicked off anew ... claims of genocide, and calls to "Free Palestine."
Protestors at a Christmas tree lighting in Nantucket chant and accuse Biden of “genocide.” pic.twitter.com/qXmcoYvNgO
— Jeff Mason (@jeffmason1) November 24, 2023 @jeffmason1
These protests here in Nantucket seem to have dragged on well into the evening too ... but like we said, JB straight up ignored them and pretended like he didn't hear them at all.
Interestingly, Joe's catching heat from both sides right now -- not only are liberals on the left slamming him and his administration for being what they consider too easy on Israel amid their ground operation in Gaza ... but conservatives are pissed over the latest hostage news.
You might've heard ... about 25 hostages were released from Hamas control over the past 48 hours or so, but in that first batch -- none of those people were Americans, a handful of which were captured in the initial Oct. 7 terrorist attack.
There are reports of more hostages being released Saturday, but unclear if any of them are American at this point. And if they aren't, you can expect more outcry against Joe and co.
There's been a pause in the fighting for now ... something a lot of people have been calling for for weeks. The conflict is far from over though -- and there's sure to be more updates.

Susan Sarandon Son Pleads With Social Media Supporters ... Stop Showing My Mom's Boobs!!!
Susan Sarandon's son thanked his mom's supporters after her controversial Israel-Palestine speech, but one thing is really bugging him ... the darn video being shown of her breasts on social media.
Miles Robbins posted a message on X, addressing his issue with Susan's bosom overshadowing the message she's trying to send about the Israel-Hamas war. As you know, Hamas rules over the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Robbins said, “Ok I’m really grateful to see people on Twitter defending my mom amidst a new era of McCarthyist blacklisting but can you PLEASE stop using the clip of her getting her hair done with her honkers out.”
In the 12-second clip, the actress is sitting in a chair wearing a bra that barely covers her boobs with one supporter on X remarking, "susan sarandon uncompromised and absolutely thriving."
Another defender said, "From the River to the Ds, you will never censor Susan Sarandon's shakers."
Recently, Susan got herself into hot water after she spoke at a pro-Palestinian rally in NYC, saying, “There are a lot of people afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country.”
Her agents at United Talent Agency were so angered by her statements they dropped her.
On October 7, Hamas launched a vicious attack on the Jewish state, indiscriminately killing hundreds of men, women, children and even babies. Israel promptly declared war on Hamas and retaliated with a bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip as well as a ground invasion, killing thousands of Palestinians in the process. There appears to be no end in sight to the conflict as the death toll rises on both sides.

JFk Assassination Bloody Limo Leather Sells for $46,000

John F. Kennedy was assassinated 60 years ago, and even all these years later -- folks are fascinated by the story ... and some are willing to pay big bucks for morbid memorabilia.
Some items tied to the case recently hit the auction block through RR Auction, and a handful of 'em went for a pretty penny -- we're talking five figures here. One particular JFK collectible that sold for a helluva lot included swatches of bloodstained leather ... from the limo.
Indeed ... 2 large patches that were cut straight from inside the car where President Kennedy was shot -- and which were covered in his bodily fluids -- ended up going for a ton of dough. The final amount ... $46,865!
There were other keepsakes that went for a high dollar amount ... like Lee Harvey Oswald's personally-owned revolver ($31k) and even the bullet Jack Ruby fired at LHO ($18k).
Some other standouts, however, are a little quirkier -- such as a section of the picket fence that was lining the infamous grassy knoll that's been at the center of JFK assassination conspiracy theories for years ... and these old sticks fetched a whopping $13,740.
Another highlight ... Oswald's jail phone call receipt from the Dallas jail he was held at in the aftermath. It shows he he was trying to call an attorney in New York, but was never able to reach him -- something he actually paid for before getting shot and killed.
It's the case file that keeps on giving ... and there's no shortage of super fans obsessed with all things JFK. That much is clear with these final sales prices.

Melissa Barrera 'Scream' Firing Response ... I Won't Be Silent On Israel-Hamas War!!!
Melissa Barrera says her firing from the 'Scream' franchise won't silence her ... and she says she's not antisemitic.
The actress responded to her "Scream 7" ouster with a statement on her Instagram story, explaining why she's been so vocal about the war in the Middle East.
Of course, it was Melissa's IG stories that got her booted from the movie in the first place ... after the production company behind "Scream 7" deemed her comments hate-inciting and antisemitic.
In response, Melissa says ... "Silence is not an option for me."
She starts out by condemning antisemitism and Islamaphobia ... and speaks out against hate and prejudice against all people.
Melissa says her Mexican heritage makes her feel a responsibility to use her platform to "raise awareness about issues I care about and to lend my voice to those in need."
She adds ... "I believe a group of people are NOT their leadership, and that no governing body should be above criticism."
Remember ... Melissa got fired from "Scream 7" for her posts about Israel and Palestine, including one where she seemingly alluded to a long-standing trope about Jewish people controlling the media. In another post, Melissa compared Gaza to a concentration camp.
Spyglass Media Group, the production company behind her firing, says it showed her the door because ... "We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech."
Melissa says she wasn't being antisemitic ... and it sounds like she won't sit back and shut up now that she's lost a lucrative movie role over her views.

Taylor Lorenz Biden Memes Won't Win Young Voters ... Ya Gotta Help Their Lives!!!
-
Exclusive

President Biden's lighting up the Internet with his fiery birthday cake poking fun at his age -- but that won't get him over the electoral hump with the young'ns ... so says a seasoned journo.
Technology reporter Taylor Lorenz -- who covers all things digital for the Washington Post -- weighed in on Joe getting a little cheeky this week to celebrate his 81st birthday ... with a jokey post that ended up fueling endless memes online.
Everybody, it seems, made cracks ... some were light-hearted, others were a little more serious -- but according to Taylor, none of it really helps the Prez in the long run for 2024.
As she put it on Tuesday's "TMZ Live," Biden and his staff are missing the mark on how to connect with Gen Z -- mistakenly thinking that viral content and memes alone will be enough to get a full base of potential voters to pull the lever for him come next November.
Lorenz says that's not gonna do it, unfortunately -- and that Joe needs to connect with young people on a more fundamental, serious level ... through policy that helps their lives.
There are a number of issues she thinks JB's out of touch with when it comes to this specific demographic -- everything from the economy to housing and healthcare ... and even the war between Israel and Hamas. On that topic, too, she says Joe's not reflecting their view.
Of course, there are also the Biden stumbles and fumbles that happen all too often -- including recently mixing up Britney Spears and Taylor Swift -- that Lorenz says aren't serving him well.
Bottom line ... TL thinks Joe's gotta sharpen up and engage 20-somethings with substance, if he wants to rely on their support at the polls ... 'cause right now, the gimmicks aren't cutting it.
BTW, Taylor's got a book out, 'Extremely Online,' which touches on the nuances of going viral.

Donald Trump Again Denies 'Golden Showers' ... Melania Believes Me!!!
Donald Trump was once infamously alleged to have watched prostitutes pee on a bed in a "golden showers" show -- and even all these years later ... he continues to insist it ain't true.
The ex-Prez was at a campaign event in Fort Dodge, Iowa Saturday night -- and while he was hyping up his crowd ... he waded back into this very old news, just to reiterate his denial and to once again explain why it couldn't possibly be true.
Take a listen ... DT retells the story as it was alleged in a secret dossier -- which claimed he and some "hookers" were at a hotel in Russia back in 2013, and that DT watched these ladies urinate on a mattress that Barack and Michelle Obama had apparently once slept in.
Trump denied this way back in 2017 when the story first started to surface -- and he's doing the same here in 2023 ... this time roping Melania into it, and saying she totally believes him.
As he noted way back when ... he's a total germaphobe, so there's no way this can be true -- something he says the former First Lady also apparently agreed with when he tried to reassure her it was bunk.
Like we said ... nothing really new here. It's just nuts that the dude's still talking about it a whole 6 years later, well after it'd been put to bed. Goes to show what's on his mind!

The news comes just a couple days after Rosalynn entered hospice care -- which her husband had actually entered as well earlier this year. She'd also recently been diagnosed with dementia.
Rosalynn served the country well while Pres. Carter was in the White House in the '70s -- and her legacy stands as someone with astute political intuition ... not to mention fine work for the American people while in office, especially in regard to mental health awareness.
By most accounts, she was one of the modern First Ladies to truly step into a public role and help shape an administration -- something all First Ladies have continued since.
Of course, her and Jimmy's humanitarian work post-presidency has been widely praised as well -- she and her hubby were the longest married presidential couple in U.S. history.
She's survived by President Carter, their four children and her grandchildren. Rosalynn was 96.
