WWE Wrestlers Sue We're Badgered, Brutalized and Brain Damaged

Published | Updated

Three wrestlers have sued the WWE on behalf of all current and former wrestlers who have suffered serious brain and other damage as a result of "egregious mistreatment" by the organization.

Big Russ McCullough, Ryan Sakoda and Luther Reigns (obvious stage names) claim the WWE has known for years ... the brutality in the ring has resulted in dementia, Alzheimer's disease and a lot more.

The lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- claims the WWE, "under the guise of providing 'entertainment' .... has for decades subjected its wrestlers to extreme physical brutality."

The suit acknowledges wrestling is scripted but nonetheless unrelentingly brutal, claiming "WWE is in the business of selling violence."

The legal docs chronicle various matches in which wrestlers were destroyed. It mentions the 2014 Royal Rumble, in which one wrestler "demolished another with a series of brutal steel chair attacks," and the docs refer to "the carnage created by the match's victor."

The lawsuit gives an interesting inside look into wrestling, saying the goal of the WWE is to elicit "heat," meaning heightened violence with the use of various props, including chairs, ladders and tables. The suit singles out various moves, including the Brain Buster, Bulldog, Cobra Clutch Slam, Facebreaker, Jawbreaker and Powerslam. It singles out the chair shots to the head, which was banned in 2010.

The suit claims, "The WWE coerces its wrestlers to work while they are injured by, among other methods, threatening to strip them of their position within the organization if they refuse." It says they are "universally encouraged to 'wrestle through the pain.'"

And the lawsuit mentions Chris Benoit, who was "routinely hit in the head with a chair." Benoit, who killed his wife and son along with himself, was autopsied after his death. A doctor concluded Benoit's brain was so damaged from CTE, it "resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient."

The suit asks for an injunction, prohibiting the WWE from subjecting its wrestlers to such brutality, along with damages.

Now, Morales wants the quarter of a million bucks to cover the damage to his rep, and he wants Meek to delete the Instagram and apologize. If not ... Meek could be facing his second lawsuit in recent days.

DMX believes the forces of evil are hard at work to take him down ... but he's not worried one bit ... because he's got God on his side and a lawyer who says he isn't a gun-toting thief.

X has admitted all along, he was at the gas station but he denies robbing anyone. He says he has no idea what the New Jersey man accusing him of holding him up at a gas station for $3,200 earlier this week is talking about, but he believes these kinds of charges just come with the territory.

We're not sure if his logic about his innocence would hold up in a courtroom, but it still sounds pretty good to us.

As for the people trying to tear him down ... X quotes Scripture and says they're gonna need to bring in the big guns.

The prisoner is specifically targeting Kim and Kanye from stepping foot in Florida, and he wants to "ban these two Moose Knuckles from appearing on any television programs aired in the state of Florida, unless it's Court TV and they're on trial for posing as a famous couple."

Albright seeks a temporary restraining order, telling the judge, "You have your work cut out for you ... so what do you say? Make us all proud."

'Stay With Me' Lawsuit Random Guy Wants Money and a Grammy!

Published | Updated

A random guy claims Sam Smith stole his hit song "Stay with Me" right out from under him, but using the guy's logic, he ripped off The Supremes.

Mark Halper claims in a new lawsuit ... he cut a demo in 1986 of a song called "Don't Throw Our Love Away." He says it begins with the "phraseology and significant phrase, 'stay with me.'"

Ergo ... Halper believes Sam Smith -- who uses the phrase "stay with me" 8 times in his hit -- has ripped him off.

So how's this for a little music history. In 1964, The Supremes recorded their massive hit, "Baby Love." In the song, Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard repeatedly sing, "don't throw our love away." Therefore, The Supremes own Mark Halper.

As for Halper's lawsuit, he's not going after Smith. He's suing several record labels. Among the things he wants ... a recommendation to the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to acknowledge him with a Grammy.
