Super Bowl LI Cops Brace for Trump Protesters ... Marijuana Lovers Too

Published | Updated

The Houston Police Department is expecting the worst outside the Super Bowl and is ready to combat a wave of Prez Trump protesters making noise about disrupting the game.

Our law enforcement sources say officers, in uniform and undercover, will monitor crowds outside NRG Stadium. We're told several online groups have popped up in recent days organizing protests -- some anti-Trump, some for Black Lives Matter, Standing Rock and refugees.

HPD has plenty of backup, having borrowed cops from around the country. As usual for the Super Bowl ... we're told SWAT will be posted nearby if protests turn into riots and get out of hand.

One more thing -- stoners beware. Unlike the inauguration protests, we're told in and outside the stadium will be a weed-free zone. As one officer put it, "If people think they are going to bring dope into Texas, they're full of s***."

Lady Gaga I'm Turning into a Real Winer ... For 'Grigio Girls'

Published | Updated

Lady Gaga is about to one-up the singer who turned lemons into lemonade by turning grapes into delicious wine.

Gaga plans to launch her own brand of wine called "Grigio Girls" ... named after a bonus track on her 2016 album, Joanne. Her company filed paperwork to produce wine, wine coolers, wine cocktails and wine punches with the name.

We're guessing Pinot Grigio will be the flagship product.

"Grigio Girls" is a song inspired by Gaga's friend, Sonja, who has cancer -- it's about how Gaga and her girlfriends would get together, pop open a bottle and cry for her. So ... their own brand of wine seems like a perfect tribute.

Lady Gaga's not totally new to the food and drink biz, though -- her parents own an Italian restaurant in NYC called Joanne Trattoria.

SHE COULD HAVE GOTTEN HELP

WWE legend Tammy Sytch says she has "tremendous guilt feelings" about the death of her good friend, Chyna ... admitting she failed to get her the help she needed when she saw Chyna struggling.

Sytch -- aka Sunny -- was on her way to court-ordered rehab this week when she told us Chyna's death has been on her mind for months. The two were very close and would FaceTime every night.

The Hall of Famer says she recognized Chyna was going down a bad path and tried to convince her to go to rehab -- but she refused, and died while Sytch was seeking treatment for herself.

Obviously, Chyna's death isn't Tammy's fault ... but Sytch says she wishes she could've gotten her friend to see the light. Chyna passed away in April after overdosing on Rx pills and booze.

As for Tammy ... her next stop is another stint in rehab to combat her ongoing alcohol issues -- and she says she's receiving the full support of the WWE.

NFL's Robert Turbin Scores Victory in Weed Case ... Despite Apparent Confession

Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin is officially off the hook in his marijuana case ... despite the fact he seemed to take responsibility for the incident on Twitter.

Turbin was pulled over Utah on July 8 for running a stop sign and during the stop, cops found "a rolled joint-type thing" in his car. He was cited for marijuana possession and ordered to appear in court.

He later tweeted, "My mistake. Won't happen again."

But now, TMZ Sports has learned prosecutors threw out the case on "evidentiary grounds" -- and a rep for the Logan City Justice Court tells us there was evidence that shows Turbin might not be guilty.

Bottom line ... case closed. Turbin's in the clear.

We talked with Green -- one of the premier sprinters in U.S. history -- who said it's dangerous to go poking around in the past looking for mistakes.

"What good is it gonna do now? The thing you have to realize is other sports recover very quickly from drug situations, but track & field has a hard time recovering."

"He's gonna go down as the greatest sprinter of all time."

According to the police report, officers spotted the rapper's Porsche pulling out of a Miami Whole Foods lot Wednesday night. Cops immediately recognized Stitches from previous arrests -- he has a unique face -- and asked if he had a gun. He said no.

However, he did immediately hand over a rolled up, slightly burnt joint ... according to cops. When they searched the car, they found a Glock under his seat and 2 magazines of ammo. Cops say he apologized and said he thought they were asking if he had a gun ON him ... not IN his car.

Must've been a potent strain he was smoking.

Looks like he caught a break on the handicap parking.

Gabby Douglas to Usain: Don't Worry About Stripped Gold Medal ... WIN ANOTHER ONE!

Published | Updated

U.S. Olympic legend Gabby Douglas has some advice for Usain Bolt after the sprinter was stripped of an Olympic gold medal this week ... GO OUT AND WIN ANOTHER ONE!!

The 21-year-old gymnast -- who has 3 Olympic gold medals of her own -- was at LAX when she heard that Bolt must hand over the 4x100 relay gold Jamaica won during the 2008 Games in Beijing.

FYI, Bolt's Team Jamaica teammate at the time, Nesta Carter, was found guilty of doping -- after a retest of his 2008 sample came back positive for a banned substance.

As a result, the entire relay team must hand back their medals. Sucks for Bolt, who did nothing wrong.

But Douglas has an easy solution for Usain ... don't retire and pick up a replacement gold at the 2020 Games.

Great advice!
