NFL's Randy Gregory Fails 7th Drug Test ... Friends Concerned

Published | Updated

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has failed another NFL drug test -- his 7th that we know about -- and his friends are deeply concerned for his well-being.

TMZ Sports spoke with multiple people with direct knowledge of the situation who confirmed Randy was tested on Feb. 21 and was informed on March 2 that his specimen came up positive for weed.

We're told Gregory has since blown off the NFL officials who tried to discuss the situation with him and people connected to Gregory tell us it appears his NFL career might be over.

Gregory was drafted by the Cowboys in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL Draft -- after emerging as one of the best college players in the country during his time at the University of Nebraska.

Gregory is currently serving a suspension for a prior failed drug test and will miss the entire 2017 season. It's unclear how this new failed test will affect his status.

Sources close to Gregory tell us he's drifted from football. We reached out to Gregory's listed agent, Deryk Gilmore, who says he no longer represents Randy. Attempts to reach Gregory himself were unsuccessful.

We reached out to the NFL but haven't heard back.

DMX Checks into Rehab

Published | Updated

DMX is getting help at a rehab facility ... TMZ has learned ... on the heels of postponing concert dates.

Sources connected with DMX tell us he checked himself in Thursday night at a treatment center in Southern California. We're told X went voluntarily, but his manager, Pat Gallo, and ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, had encouraged the move.

The rapper has been to rehab before while battling substance abuse issues for years.

As we first reported, X had to cancel 3 shows this week due to what his rep called a "medical emergency." We're told he flew to Cali to get help because he felt he was "moving to a dark place" and wanted to make sure he stayed on the right path.

Sources at DMX's show in Brooklyn last week tell us he was drinking heavily beforehand.

In a statement, Gallo apologized to X's fans for the postponed shows, and says, "It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer."

He added, "We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support."

Most Interesting Man in the World Is a Rose All Day Kinda Guy

Published | Updated

Harsh reality here about Dos Equis' new Most Interesting Man in the World -- dude loves him some rosé!

The new guy, whose name is Augustin Legrand, was chilling Thursday at Sant Ambroeus in NYC's West Village. So, let's see ... he has a French name, and he's at a French restaurant ... so maybe the rosé makes sense.

Sure his beer bosses might not be thrilled with the image, but we're guessing his contract doesn't require him to drink Dos Equis 24/7.

As they say in Paris -- Reste soif, mes amis!

Joe McKnight Shooter Football Star was Roid Raging ... Before Shooting

Published | Updated

The man who shot and killed Joe McKnight says the ex-NFL player was fueled by a mix of steroids, pain pills and weed during their fatal confrontation ... and he only pulled his gun out of fear.

Ronald Gasser filed new court docs in the murder case against him -- claiming he learned McKnight "was under the influence of marijuana, pain pills, and anabolic steroids at the time [he] attacked Mr. Gasser."

Unclear where Gasser got his information -- it seems his legal team may have had access to McKnight's toxicology results following the autopsy.

However, in the docs Gasser paints a picture of a man in full steroid rage -- saying McKnight was "violent and erratic" following an intense chase through the streets of Louisiana on Dec. 1.

Gasser says he did NOTHING that he would consider "aggressive" to provoke McKnight -- and says it was Joe who was screaming and yelling like a maniac.

Gasser says he ultimately shot Joe while "fearing for his life."

At the time of the shooting, McKnight was a pro football player in Canada -- a running back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The CFL has a strict anti-steroid policy and tests players -- though it's unclear if McKnight ever tested positive for anabolic steroids.

Demian Bichir Do NOT Spend Chapo's Loot on the Wall!! Here's a Better Idea ...

Published | Updated

Demian Bichir says Senator Ted Cruz is outta his damn mind to propose El Chapo's billions fund President Trump's wall.

When we got the Mexican-born actor at LAX Wednesday, we asked him about the senator's proposed bill -- dubbed the El Chapo Act -- which would use his reported $14 billion to pay for the wall.

First off, the former "Weeds" star is clearly NOT a fan of the wall. At all.

He is, however, all about jacking the drug lord's money. Demian's concept of what to do with it though is way more Robin Hood than Cruz has in mind.

Report: Aaron Hernandez Autopsy Shows Synthetic Marijuana ... Prison Raid Ensues

Published | Updated

Aaron Hernandez's autopsy shows the ex-NFL player had traces of synthetic marijuana in his system at the time of his death, this according to reports ... but the medical examiner is calling it a "rumor."

Newsweek is reporting Hernandez's body tested positive for K2 during a kidney fluid screen conducted during the autopsy.

The outlet says a full-scale search and raid of the prison was carried out in the wake of the discovery -- with law enforcement officials on the hunt for contraband and clues to how the K2 drug got into the prison in the first place.

It sounds like a scene out of "Orange is the New Black" -- only not as fun.

Some officials believe K2 can be smuggled into prison through the mail -- since you can dip corners of paper into the liquid for the drug user to consume at a later time.

But we reached out to the Massachusetts Medical Examiner's office and we were told, "The toxicology is not yet complete so I am guessing this is a rumor."

The rep told us there is no timeline for when the results will be in.

DMX Cancels Dates for Medical Emergency ... Friends Fear Relapse

Published | Updated

DMX is pulling the plug on several tour dates, and his people say it's because of an unspecified medical issue.

X was supposed to do a show Tuesday night in Santa Ana, CA ... but the venue informed ticket holders the show had been canceled due to a "medical emergency."

According to our sources, his Wednesday show in Los Angeles, as well as a Thursday gig in San Diego will also be postponed. We're told several people in DMX's inner circle have been concerned about his health this week.

Many fans thought he was a little off the rails during his Brooklyn show last weekend, where the Ruff Ryders reunited. We're told X was indeed drinking heavily that night.

He's battled substance abuse in the past, and friends fear a relapse.

Ted Cruz El Chapo Should Pay For the Wall Let's Make it a Law!

Published | Updated

Ted Cruz has the perfect solution on how to pay for Donald Trump's border wall ... pass a law to use El Chapo's billions and loot from other lords to underwrite construction.

The Texas senator introduced a new bill Tuesday called the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order Act -- aka the EL CHAPO Act ... which does just that.

The bill would allow the U.S. to use all cash forfeited by drug lords to pay for the wall and border security.

According to Ted ... the U.S. is already gunning for more than $14 billion in drug money and other profits that the Mexican drug lords collected, and Cruz says that will go a long way toward the estimated $20 plus billion in construction costs.

The government is on the verge of shutting down this week, in part because of funding for the border wall project. Looks like Ted's trying to get creative with a solution.

But 37-year-old Mir tells TMZ Sports he doesn't wanna wait around -- "I'll keep looking for ways to fight."

Mir says he hasn't entered discussions with another fight company yet but gave a strong hint about where he'll end up -- "I always wanted to fight in Japan."

THE CONTROVERSIAL COMMENTS

Scott Baio feels terrible for ripping his co-star, Erin Moran, for her drug use and says he never would have done it if he'd known she was battling cancer.

Scott tells TMZ he was wrong to insinuate Erin -- his "Happy Days" and "Joanie Loves Chachi" co-star -- had died from drug-related problems. He went pretty hard on her during a radio interview Monday morning.

He tells us he went to bed Sunday reading reports she'd possibly died of a heroin overdose, and went into the interview with that in mind. He was upset he'd lost Erin to drugs after she wrestled with substance abuse for years.

However, hours after he went off the air ... officials in Indiana announced Erin had likely died from complications of stage 4 cancer. Scott says if he had known, he would've kept his mouth shut.

He tells us Erin never disclosed her diagnosis to him -- even after his wife, Renee, spoke to her just last month. He adds ... Renee has battled cancer herself several times, so losing Erin this way hits close to home.

Guests included OutKast's Big Boi, Sleepy Brown, Big K.R.I.T. and Pastor Troy, who all got to snack on a wide range of edibles. Mike also got a car as a gift, but again -- he definitely seemed to be enjoying the huge joints more than anything else.
