T.I. On Kim K Meeting Trump: Better Her Than Me

Published | Updated

T.I.'s on board with Kim Kardashian West lobbying President Trump on prison reform ... a feat he applauds, because someone needs to talk some sense into him.

We got Tip out in Bev Hills on Thursday and asked him about Kim K's White House visit with POTUS earlier this week. As we reported ... Kim's been in talks with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kusher to get Alice Marie Johnson's life sentence commuted.

Check it out ... T.I. says as long as Kim K has her facts, it's a good start in getting a dialogue going at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. T.I. feels strongly ... he would never have such a meeting himself and thinks Meek Mill did the right thing bailing on Trump last month ... because they'd just be selling out.

The way T.I. sees Kim's visit ... baby steps.

Sean Spicer Samantha Bee Should Be ... Roseanne'd!!!

Published | Updated

Sean Spicer supports Samantha Bee apologizing for calling Ivanka Trump the c-word on her show, but doesn't think it's enough ... and he wants TBS to follow ABC's lead.

The former White House Press Secretary was out in NYC Thursday and weighed in on the controversy, telling TMZ he believes there's clearly a double standard ... because Roseanne's show got canceled almost immediately after she made a racist comment on Twitter.

Sean says Bee's comment was just as inappropriate, and the right thing to do would be to give her show the axe as well.

Spicer also gave his take on another hot-button issue -- Donald Trump's pardon of Dinesh D'Souza.

Seems like he's still got the Prez's back.

Kim Kardashian I'd Do Anything to Free Alice Johnson ... Even Sit Down with Trump

I MEAN, IF I HAVE TO

Kim Kardashian is a woman on a mission for Alice Johnson and she's willing to do whatever it takes to free her, which is why she met with President Trump ... someone she doesn't generally support, politically.

Kim sat down for a post-White House interview with Mic.com -- and it sounds like she might've been reluctant to meet with Trump, but she explained why she wasn't about to let the opportunity pass.

She also answers the question a lot of people were asking after news broke she was heading to D.C. -- what the hell does Kim have to do with prison reform?

Check out her answer -- it's actually kinda moving. Right after the White House summit, Kim spoke to Alice ... and we get to hear some of their convo in this clip.

Samantha Bee Rips Ivanka Trump: 'You Feckless C***'

Published | Updated

11:40 AM PT -- TBS said Bee's remark was "vile and inappropriate language." They said those words should not have been aired, and added, "It was our mistake too, and we regret it."

11:20 AM PT -- Bee has apologized to Ivanka and 'Full Frontal' viewers for using the c-word to describe Ivanka on her show. She says, "It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it."

Samantha Bee went in hard on Ivanka Trump, calling her a "feckless c***" who needs to do something about her father's actions in the White House.

Bee dropped the bombshell during her show, 'Full Frontal,' Wednesday night (it's at the 7 minute mark of this clip). She ripped Ivanka for posting a picture with her son on social media amid reports President Trump's administration is separating children from families crossing the border.

Samantha calls Ivanka's post the second most offensive tweet this week -- Roseanne takes that cake, of course.

As you'd expect ... Samantha's taking a lot of heat, especially from the Right, for her choice of words. It arguably got worst when she described what Ivanka should do -- or wear, to be precise -- to convince the President to change his immigration policy.

Kim Kardashian West Yes, I'm Here to See the President About a Woman's Freedom

Published | Updated

6:56 PM PT -- Kim Kardashian has issued a statement on her meeting with Trump, saying ... "I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense. We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she—and so many like her—will get a second chance at life."

3:31 PM PT -- Our sources say the meeting with Trump went "extremely well." We're told Kim and Shawn will now meet with Jared Kushner -- who's been very passionate and hands-on with Alice's possible pardon and criminal justice reform -- and Ivanka at their home for a private dinner.

Before she left the Oval Office, Kim posed for a pic with 45, which he posted. One of them smiled ...

Kim Kardashian West is all business, in a pantsuit, as she arrives at the White House to meet President Trump.

Kim and her attorney, Shawn Holley, entered through the security gate for the West Wing of 1600 Penn ... around 4:40 PM EDT. As we reported, the meeting with POTUS has been in the works for months ... as KKW's been in talks with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to get Alice Marie Johnson's life sentence commuted.

Alice is the great-grandmother who was convicted for drug conspiracy and money laundering in 1997 ... they were her first offenses, and Kim's taken up her cause over the last year.

Her attire -- all black, besides yellow heels -- shows just how serious Kim is about her mission.

No doubt, Kanye West's admiration for Trump will be brought up during the meeting ... by Trump.

GOING TO BAT FOR POTUS

Johnny Damon says he LOVES how President Trump has been performing since taking office -- and when asked for a specific reason ... he told us, "Well, do you like having more money in your pockets?"

The ex-MLB star was recently appointed to the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition --- and spent his Wednesday visiting the White House.

And since Damon's been getting a lot of online hate from anti-Trumpers on Twitter ... we asked how he's handling the criticism.

"That's all right," Damon said ... "Half the people aren't supporters, but he's doing a great job."

He also fired off his top reasons why he's still Team Trump -- from his tax plan to his pro-life stance.

We also asked how he felt about Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, getting booed at Yankee Stadium this week -- and Damon went to bat for the former NYC mayor too.

Colin Kaepernick's Attorney QB Blackballed From NFL 'Cause Of Donald Trump

Published | Updated

Mark Geragos says he knows "beyond a shadow of a doubt" the NFL blackballed his client Colin Kaepernick ... and it's entirely because of Donald Trump.

Kaep's attorney -- who's reppin' the former QB in his collusion case against the league -- revealed some of the ammo he's usin' to prove his case on Amy Dash's podcast Tuesday ... and he says it all starts and ends with Trump's disdain for anthem protests.

"[We] got an owner under penalty of perjury testifying that he changed his mind after he was told what Trump said," Geragos said.

The league's new anthem policy ... the blackballing of Kaep ... the unwillingness to sign fellow anthem kneeler Eric Reid -- Geragos says it all stems from POTUS.

"The only reason -- and the owners will admit that -- they haven't signed [Kaepernick] is they're afraid of Trump, and they've colluded because of Trump."

Geragos added: "Basically, at this point, they've made the choice that they're going to opt on the side of the white, nationalistic side, as opposed to any other demographic."

Kim Kardashian Sets Meeting with Trump ... To Get Alice Marie Johnson Pardoned!!!

Published | Updated

Kim Kardashian West will meet with Donald Trump to continue her quest ... to free imprisoned great-grandmother Alice Marie Johnson.

Our sources tell us Kim and her attorney, Shawn Holley, have scheduled a meeting Wednesday with Trump to lobby for to get Johnson's sentence commuted. She's currently serving a life sentence at the Aliceville Correctional Facility in Alabama.

As we reported ... KKW and Shawn have been working with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for months to free Alice, but now the Prez is getting involved directly.

Although Kim was a Hillary Clinton supporter, we're told Trump's on board with helping since Ivanka supports the cause too ... and Kanye's recent public support of him certainly didn't hurt.

Our sources say Kim will make the trip without KUWTK cameras or her sisters.

The 62-year-old great-grandma's case became national news last year when Kim tweeted about it -- she was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1997 on money laundering and drug conspiracy charges ... her first offense.

Alice wrote Kim a heartfelt thank-you note for pushing hard for her pardon, and she could have a great reason to write another one soon.

PUT ASIDE YOUR EGO, TRUMP!

George Lopez knows Memorial Day's about appreciating the sacrifice of people who died for freedom in America, but says someone needs to teach President Trump.

We got the comedian -- and perhaps Trump's #1 critic -- in WeHo Monday, where we asked what he made of Trump's self-praising holiday tweet.

In case you missed it ... Trump shouted out his own administration more than saying an actual "thank-you" to fallen soldiers, saying they'd be pleased with the country's unemployment numbers and revamped military.

George acknowledges Hollywood types are pretty self-absorbed, but says even he knows not to blow his own horn on such a day -- unlike Trump ... and a legendary porn star.

George H.W. Bush Hospitalized Again Now for Low Blood Pressure & Fatigue

Published | Updated

George H.W. Bush is in the hospital again ... just one month after he was there following his wife's death.

Bush Sr.'s spokesperson said Sunday the former president had been hospitalized at South Maine Health Care in Biddeford after experiencing low blood pressure and fatigue. The rep said he'd likely remain there for a few days for observation ... adding 41 was awake, alert and not in any discomfort.

As we reported ... H.W. was bedridden one day after Barbara Bush's funeral when he contracted an infection that spread to his blood. He's been battling illnesses much more frequently as of late, including vascular parkinsonism, which mimics Parkinson's.

Bush was in Maine this weekend grabbing breakfast with vets at the American Legion Post 159 in Kennebunkport. He's got a summer home in Maine, and had just recently arrived.

Get well soon, sir.

Donald Trump Pardons Boxer Jack Johnson ... Thanks to Stallone!

Published | Updated

Donald Trump announced he was posthumously pardoning the first black heavyweight champion Jack Johnson on Thursday ... and it seems a lot of credit goes to Sylvester Stallone!!

Johnson was convicted more than 100 years ago of violating the Mann Act by transporting a white woman across state lines.

The conviction, largely seen as racist and an abuse of the legal system, has been urged by many in the boxing community to be pardoned for years.

But, per POTUS, it was Rocky himself who swayed him to make the full pardon, tweeting back in April:

"Sylvester Stallone called me with the story of heavyweight boxing champion Jack Johnson. His trials and tribulations were great, his life complex and controversial. Others have looked at this over the years, most thought it would be done, but yes, I am considering a Full Pardon!"

On Thursday, Trump made that happen.

And just a few minutes ago, Sly and boxing studs Lennox Lewis and Deontay Wilder celebrated the move with a punchy photo op in Washington D.C.

Stormy Daniels Eat Your Heart Out, Trump ... I Got a Key to WeHo!!!

Published | Updated

'Stormy Daniels Day' is official in West Hollywood -- the mayor just declared it, the porn star thanked the crowd after receiving a key to the city ... and yes, this is real news.

Stormy was honored in front of Chi Chi La Rue's Wednesday by Mayor John J. Duran and Mayor Pro Tem John D'Amico -- who peppered in a "joke" before presenting her with the key.

Daniels then gave a quick thank you speech and praised the community for its principles of treating everyone with fairness and dignity ... and standing up to bullies.

Clearly, that part was meant to tweak President Trump -- something Stormy has plenty of experience doing. Allegedly.

NASCAR's Martin Truex Jr. Trump's White House Was Awesome ... I'd Never Boycott!

Published | Updated
Martin Truex Jr 5/21/18
HUGE HONOR!

NASCAR champ Martin Truex Jr. says his White House visit Monday to meet President Trump was "amazing" ... calling it a huge honor he would NEVER consider passing up.

It's a MUCH different opinion than some NBA and NFL players -- but Truex tells TMZ Sports he considers NASCAR to be "very patriotic" and he's proud to be an American.

Truex was invited to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. after winning the 2017 Cup Series title -- and on his way out, he RAVED about the experience.

"Oh my God, it was amazing. The president was an unbelievable host. He showed us everything that he didn't have to show, so it was really cool."

We mentioned the controversy with other athletes boycotting Trump's White House -- and Truex said the thought of turning down Trump never crossed his mind.

"I mean, I think it's a huge honor. Huge honor for me and my team and for them to invite us was amazing, so I would never pass it up."

During Truex's visit, Trump once again brought up the anthem protests, saying "One thing I know about NASCAR and I will tell you, they do indeed stand for the playing of the national anthem."

Donald Trump It's Great to Have Melanie Back Home ... I Mean Melania

Published | Updated

President Trump gave the First Lady a warm welcome back to the White House ... by misspelling her name.

Trump tweeted out the good news Saturday -- Melania's back home after spending several days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center recovering from a kidney procedure -- but called her Melanie in the process.

The Prez was quick to fix the typo after several of his 52 million Twitter followers called him out for the error, but the damage was already done.

Trump's known for typos, grammatical mistakes and an occasional covfefe in his tweets ... but he always gets the names of family and friends right.

Guess there's a first time for everything.

Welcome home, Melania ... we're glad you're back home and feeling better.

President Trump Invites Eagles To White House Team Coordinating Trip

Published | Updated

The Philadelphia Eagles have officially been invited to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win ... and now the question is -- who's gonna show up?

The folks at 1600 Penn. announced the invite Thursday afternoon, saying "President Trump looks forward to welcoming the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House on June 5th to celebrate their Super Bowl LII win.”

The Eagles seemed to accept the invite saying ... they're "working through the logistics of a trip to Washington DC, including a visit to the White House, on June 5th."

Here's the thing ... several prominent players have made it VERY clear they have no interest in meeting up with Trump ... including Torrey Smith, Chris Long, Malcolm Jenkins and Dannell Ellerbe.

FYI -- the last team to be so outspoken about Trump -- the Golden State Warriors -- had their White House invite pulled after Stephen Curry opposed the visit.

So, while the whole team might visit the nation's capital next month ... there probably won't be perfect attendance when the players head over to Trump's crib.

NFL's Derrius Guice If Trump Invited Me To White House ... I'd Go!

Published | Updated

Washington Redskins rookie RB Derrius Guice says he wouldn't be opposed to Donald Trump attending his games and says visiting the White House would be the "chance of a lifetime."

The former LSU star touched down at LAX for an NFLPA Rookie Premiere event ... rockin' his brand new Young Money diamond chain, given to him by Lil Wayne (he's signed to Weezy's agency).

But since Guice will be playing in D.C., we asked if he had any strong feelings about the President ... and he made it clear he has no animosity towards the guy.

"I mean he's running this country. Whatchu want me to do, hate a guy who's running this country? I stay in my lane, he stay in his."

When asked if he would accept an invite to visit the White House if Washington wins the Super Bowl, Guice explained why he would.

"If I get the chance, yeah. That's the chance of a lifetime," Guice said ... "They got a lot of history in that White House."

Obviously, Washington has to win games first ... but with Alex Smith at the helm and Guice in the backfield, you never know!
