The guys NOT named Johnny Manziel at the U. of San Diego's pro day are super stoked about the national exposure that came with their workouts yesterday ... and they're hoping it pays off at the draft.

TMZ Sports spoke with tight end Ross Dwelley and receiver Justin Priest -- the 2 guys Manziel threw bombs to all Thursday -- and they say the ex-Browns star's NFL caliber throwing was a HUGE bonus for them to show off their own skills.

The guys say they've been working with Johnny a lot over the past month ... and say they've seen firsthand how seriously he's taking his comeback.

Syracuse legend Hakim Warrick says don't pencil 11.5 point favorite Duke into the Elite 8 just yet ... 'cause the Orange have a legit shot at takin' down Coach K's squad.

Cuse, a #11 seed that many people said didn't even deserve to make the NCAA tourney will play Duke -- a #2 seed -- later Friday in Nebraska ... and almost no one's giving them a shot in Hell to win the game.

Except Hakim Warrick.

In case you forgot ... Hakim made one of the greatest defensive plays in the history of the tournament when he blocked a potential championship winning 3-pointer against Kansas in 2003 ... delivering the SU its first and only national title.

So, the guy knows what it takes to win in March ... and he wholeheartedly feels Cuse has a "punchers chance."

"We're underdogs, but we're still, I think one of the top programs in the nation even though we're a little short-handed."

As far as battling the mighty Blue Devils ... "You're either a Duke fan of you hate Duke. As a Syracuse guy, I would love to take them down."

Philadelphia Eagles star Michael Bennett was charged a felony after allegedly injuring an elderly paraplegic woman at the Super Bowl last year.

Bennett, 32, was indicted by a Harris County, TX Grand Jury after being accused of pushing a 66-year-old female NRG Stadium employee who was controlling access to the field at Super Bowl 51.

Michael's brother, Martellus, was a member of the Patriots ... who won the game.

According to the Harris County Texas District Attorney, Bennett "shoved his way on to the field where players were gathering to celebrate."

The charge ... "injury to the elderly, includes intentionally and knowingly, causing bodily injury to a person 65 years or older."

If convicted, Bennett faces up to 10 years in prison, and a $10k fine.

Harris County has issued a warrant for M.B.'s arrest.

1:10 PM PT -- The Eagles just released the following statement ... “We are aware of the situation involving Michael Bennett and are in the process of gathering more information. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.”

The New England Patriots went above and beyond for the Parkland, FL students ... sending the team jet to fly them to D.C. for this weekend's March for Our Lives.

Owner Robert Kraft reportedly made the gesture at the request of AZ Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Marjory Stoneman Douglas students got a taste of the Tom Brady life ... along with their parents and some of their teachers. Theater teacher Melody Herzfeld, in the middle of this pic, huddled in a closet with her students on Feb. 14 when the shooting began.

Keshia Knight Pulliam's ex says no way in hell a famous CTE doctor should be allowed to testify in their divorce case ... claiming the Dr. never treated him.

Ed Hartwell filed legal docs in Fulton County, Georgia asking the judge NOT to allow Keshia's legal team to use Dr. Bennet Omalu as an expert witness. Omalu, of course, is the real-life doctor who inspired the Will Smith movie, "Concussion."

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Ed -- who played 6 seasons in the NFL -- claims Keshia's playing dirty by bringing Dr. Omalu in at the last minute, and, even worse -- Omalu never examined or interviewed Ed, and to Ed's knowledge, has not reviewed his medical records.

Zay Jones won't face criminal charges for shattering a penthouse window because his family is covering the cost for repairs ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to the L.A. County District Attorney ... there was no proof the Bills wide receiver acted with malice or wrongful intent. That seems odd, considering the video we got of Jones running naked in the hallway of the downtown L.A. building right before he kicked out the 30th floor window.

However, the D.A. also says the building wasn't looking to press charges ... most likely because Zay's family was extremely cooperative and told the building manager they'd cover the damages. According to docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, that's about $20,000.

We broke the story ... Jones was arrested Monday night for felony vandalism after getting into a naked altercation with his brother, Cayleb Jones of the Minnesota Vikings ... breaking the window and bleeding all over the hallways.

Lamar Odom didn't bolt in the other direction when he ended up face-to-face with Khloe Kardashian's sisters -- he actually went out of his way to have a convo with them ... TMZ has learned.

We broke the story ... Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner walked into Mr Chow Thursday night in Bev Hills while Lamar was already there enjoying a meal. Obviously, severe awkwardness could have ensued, but sources in the restaurant tell us LO walked up to their table.

We're told the former in-laws all chatted and exchanged positive words. It wasn't a lengthy meet and greet -- Lamar was on his way out -- but a family source tells us the sisters were happy to see him out and doing well. We're told all 3 feel no bad blood toward Khloe's ex.

It could have been way different if Kim or Khloe were there -- at least based on the major shading that went down earlier this year. Lamar did an interview saying his marriage was over when Khloe moved on to "her second or third NBA player." Kim fired back it was over when he got caught at his "second or third brothel."

Sean McVay says anyone thinking Ndamukong Suh to the Rams is a done deal should pump their brakes ... telling TMZ Sports the deal is anything but done yet.

There was some speculation that Suh had settled on the Rams because after meeting with L.A. he canceled scheduled meetings with some other teams.

We got McVay out at LAX and asked the head man in L.A. if the Suh era in Tinseltown was a forgone conclusion, and Sean was cautiously optimistic at best.

"We'll see, excited about Marcus and Aquib, and if we're able to make that other move that'd be good for us, but we'll see. He's got a lot of other teams that want him."

9:34 AM PT -- San Francisco PD tells TMZ Sports ... Earlier this week SFPD’s Special Victims Unit investigators obtained information that Mr. Smith violated a domestic violence restraining order stemming from an incident that occurred on March 3, 2018.

A warrant was issued for Mr. Smith’s arrest. The Department worked with Mr. Smith’s legal counsel to arrange a date for Mr. Smith surrender himself.

This morning Mr. Smith, surrendered himself to SVU investigators and will be processed for the warrant and three counts of misdemeanor violation of a protective/stay away order.

Aldon Smith was arrested, again ... after allegedly violating an order that barred him from contacting the alleged victim in his domestic violence case.

Smith turned himself in this morning after San Francisco PD issued a warrant for his arrest.

We broke the story ... the former NFL star had been arrested and charged with 4 misdemeanors -- including domestic violence -- after allegedly beating up his fiancee on March 3.

At the time of the incident ... a protective order was issued that banned Smith from having any sort of contact with his accuser.

AS allegedly violated that order ... promoting officials to issue the warrant.

Smith turned himself in Friday morning.

Johnny Manziel says he's more hopeful than ever for his return to the football field ... telling TMZ Sports he's happy with how he performed in front of NFL scouts on Thursday.

We spoke with the ex-Browns star -- alongside wife Bre Tiesi -- about throwing at the University of San Diego's pro day ... and he told us it was a great opportunity to show off his progress.

But, Johnny ain't letting up on his ComebackSZN campaign just yet ... he says he's gonna keep working out just as hard in hopes of getting on the field -- whether it's for an NFL team or in Canada.

"I'm hopeful with where things are at. I'm happy with my wife, I'm happy with my life ... I'm doing well, I have no complaints. I'm a lot better off than I was in the past."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants all of L.A. to know it's a privilege to have him grace the Galaxy with his presence ... taking a full page newspaper ad to tell fans "you're welcome."

News became official on Thursday that the Manchester United superstar was hoppin' the pond to play in the MLS ... and Ibra made a strong first impression in the L.A. Times ad.

FYI -- Ibrahimovic hasn't always been a fan of American soccer ... he told TMZ Sports back in 2014 that Team USA was "a big joke."

But, that's in the past and Z.I. is now an Angeleno ... and the fans probably won't be too upset about his previous comments. After all, the dude is one of the best players to ever make the jump to American soil.

Lamar Odom had a close encounter with his former in-laws -- Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie -- when they all hit up the same Bev Hills hot spot.

Kourtney and Kendall arrived first Thursday night at Mr Chow ... and Kylie showed up next -- around 8:30 PM -- with her bff, Jordyn Woods. The interesting part, and we gotta imagine neither party had a clue, was that we got Lamar exiting the restaurant around 8:45 PM.

The timing makes it seem like he got the hell outta dodge once he saw Khloe's sisters float into the joint. We don't know if they actually crossed paths, but we're willing to guarantee they did NOT break bread.

In any event, Travis Scott showed up a little later to join the ladies, and the whole gang left an hour later, and they were pretty vocal on the way out.

As they say ... SMALL freakin' town.

Thursday's Sacramento Kings game was delayed by protesters who formed a human chain in front of Golden 1 Center in Sacramento to protest a police killing of an unarmed black man.

The Kings were set to take on the Atlanta Hawks, but the game got off to a late start as police dealt with the protest which included protesters locking arms and chanting "Black Lives Matter."

The demonstration was in response to the death of Stephon Clark, a Sacramento man shot over 20 times by police in his backyard when Sacramento police mistook his cell phone for a gun.

Protesters eventually dispersed peacefully, with no arrests made, and Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé came out to address the arena crowd after the game was played.

"We at the Kings recognize people's ability to protest peacefully and we respect that," he said. "We here at the Kings recognize that we have a big platform. It's a privilege, but it's also a responsibility. It's a responsibility that we take very seriously. And we stand here before you -- old, young, black, white, brown -- and we are all united in our commitment."

Troy Aikman says Josh Rosen ain't just any ol' QB prospect ... the UCLA star tosses the ball as good as anyone he's ever seen fire the pigskin on the football field.

We got Aikman in Beverly Hills after he dropped sweat at a SoulCycle class (get it, Troy!) ... and he broke down the consensus of the top 3 arms in this year's class -- Rosen, Sam Darnold and Josh Allen.

Troy had nice things to say about the whole trio ... but gave Rosen the highest compliment imaginable.

"Josh is a real talent. I watched him throw a few years ago at UCLA one summer. He can throw as well as anybody I’ve ever seen," Aikman told TMZ Sports.

Naturally, Troy says that makes Rosen worthy of the #1 pick next month -- but he ain't guaranteeing that's gonna happen.

Buffalo Bills receiver Zay Jones will NOT be charged with vandalism after the bizarre incident where he got naked, argued with his brother ... and allegedly smashed out a 30th floor window.

The L.A. County D.A. tells TMZ Sports ... there was insufficient evidence to charge Jones. We broke the story ... Jones was arrested and booked Monday night for felony vandalism.

Video of the incident showed him totally naked in the downtown L.A. apartment building ... telling his brother, Cayleb Jones, he was going to "fight for Jesus."

Witnesses said Zay bolted away from his bro, and kicked in a window -- blood was left on the glass and all over the walls and hallways of the building.

Jones was released from custody early Wednesday morning.

Get ready for your daily testosterone injection ... 'cause U.S. Senator Dean Heller from Nevada is about to tell the world how he's helping to build the Raiders' new home ... and it involves blowing stuff up.

We got Heller in D.C. and he told us he's really enjoying the construction of the Raiders' new stadium, partly because it involves him getting to be the triggerman on some really big fireworks.

"They're detonating 800 pounds of dynamite everyday. They let me push the switch that imploded 800 pounds of dynamite ... I got to tell you as a male that was pretty fun."

First off, we're sure plenty of ladies would love to blow some stuff up, too. Secondly, 800 POUNDS A FREAKIN' DAY!!!! Seems a little excessive to us.
