Andre Berto Dana White's Right ... Jon Jones Is The #1 Wasted Talent
Jon Jones is the biggest wasted talent in sports history -- so says Andre Berto, who agreed with Dana White's bold statement from earlier this week.
Don't get it twisted -- Andre is a HUGE Jones fan, and told TMZ Sports he "wouldn't say it as harsh" as the UFC honcho ... but the boxing star thinks Jones fits the bill based on all his physical gifts.
"Jon Jones is ridiculously talented, man. Tall, long, rangy, skills."
FYI, Jon is currently facing a suspension for up to 4 years after getting popped for steroids ... but swears on God and his kids that he didn't use.
As for A.B. -- he says he's serious about joining the UFC!

'Lean on Me' Star Busted for Nearly 6 Pounds of Weed
"Lean on Me" star Jermaine Hopkins might need another meeting with Morgan Freeman -- cops say he tried to speed past them with several pounds of marijuana in his car.
Law enforcement sources tell us cops in Apex, NC spotted Jermaine driving 70 in a 55 last week. Once they pulled him over cops say they found 5.7 lbs. of weed in his trunk and arrested him for felony drug possession with intent to sell.
He also got tagged with a speeding ticket before he was released on $3,000 bond.
Jermaine was also busted in 2011 for buying 200 lbs. of pot from an undercover cop -- so 5 lbs. almost seems like an improvement. By the way, he got 3 years probation for that 2011 arrest.
We've reached out to Jermaine, so far no word back.

Tapatio Sues Duuuuuuuude ... You Stole Nuestro Famoso Logo!!!
9:56 AM -- The owner of Trapatio, Isaac Granados, tells TMZ he reached out to Tapatio about a possible collaboration and insists they were open to the idea. He says, "With the legalization of weed I would have never thought they would come after me. The cannabis community needs products like this. Tapatio needs Trapatio."
Tapatio's turning up the heat and going after a guy who's trying to start a different kind of blaze ... while allegedly ripping off the company's iconic sombrero-wearing mascot.
Tapatio -- arguably the most famous hot sauce in America -- is suing the guy behind the marijuana-infused "Trapatio" hot sauce claiming that product's using an eerily similar logo.
In docs, obtained by TMZ, Tapatio says its famous "charro" -- or Mexican cowboy -- logo belongs to them and "Trapatio" is marketing itself with a similar name and an almost identical man in a sombrero, yellow jacket and red tie. Not to mention jacking their font.
Tapatio thinks the similarities will make loyal customers think it's in bed with the pot sauce ... which comes fully loaded with 400 mg of THC. The OG sauce's lawsuit is pretty blunt -- quit duping us, and fork over the profits "Trapatio" has already made.

Melissa Etheridge Delightful Mug Shot in Drug Bust ... 70s Rocker Arrested Too
Melissa Etheridge didn't pass the K-9 sniffing test ... Todd Rundgren did, but they both got arrested for drugs on the U.S.-Canadian border.
Melissa and Todd were both pinched -- on separate dates -- in North Dakota after their tour buses were stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. According to docs, Melissa's bus was returning to the U.S. on August 17. After a K-9 unit detected possible drugs, agents found marijuana oil.
Cops say Melissa said she uses it to manage pain from cancer. That's legal in Cali, where she lives, but in N.D. it's still a no-no. She was booked for possession of a controlled substance ... took a super pleasant mug shot, and pleaded not guilty.
As for 1970s rocker Rundgren -- Customs nabbed him on September 9 when his bus was stopped. The dogs missed it, but agents found 2 vapes and containers with liquid THC.
Hello, it's me ... I just got booked for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

John Legend Wine Grapes Feeling Heat in Wildfires ... But Safe for Now
John Legend's keeping a close eye on the massive wildfires in California's wine country, because the vineyard that produces his wine is flirting with disaster.
The singer's LVE Collection Wines are produced at Raymond Vineyards in Napa, which is smack-dab in the middle of the surrounding blaze. The owner of the vineyard, Jean-Charles Boisset, tells TMZ the fires are 5 miles away in every direction, so John's grapes and vines are safe ... for now.
However, we're told Legend's been informed his grapes will most likely be affected by the smoke. The damaged ones would have to be sorted out at harvest time ... which could increase costs. As you can see, the sky over the vineyard is smokey as hell.
The fast-moving fires in Cali's wine country have killed more than 20 people and hundreds are missing. And the inferno's far from contained.

Baby Bash fans can chill -- despite a video making it seem like he got pinched for smoking a joint, right in front of a cop ... there was no funny biz. Just show biz.
Baby tells TMZ he got hit up left and right by fans who'd seen him getting patted down
Tuesday night by an officer in L.A. -- but he assures us the scene they saw was all for a music video.

Josh Gordon Baylor Coach Helped Me Cheat Drug Tests (Update)
9:59 AM PT -- Baylor has now issued a statement in the wake of Gordon's comments saying:
"Josh Gordon was a football student-athlete from 2009 until 2011 at which time he was suspended indefinitely and ultimately left the program."
"None of the football staff from this timeframe are currently employed by Baylor. As such, we decline to comment further."
Suspended Cleveland Browns star Josh Gordon says a Baylor football coach helped him beat the drug testing system in college ... revealing he was given bottles of detox to clean his system.
Gordon opened up about his serious drug issues for the first time in a mini-documentary for "Uninterrupted" on Tuesday ... saying he's had experiences with Xanax, cocaine, weed and codeine.
The 26-year-old -- who had completed 70 days of his most recent rehab stint at the time the doc was filmed -- says he was taught how to pass drug tests after getting suspended for weed in 2010.
"That was my first experience with, like, getting over on the system and the authority not really being serious because it was kind of being guided by someone who was employed by the university."
Gordon says he eventually failed another drug test in 2011 after he ran out of detox drinks.
There's a lot more to the 13-minute doc ... Gordon talks about taking rehab seriously this time, his 2-year-old daughter, and his relationship with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Aaron Carter Leaves Rehab Early To Deal with Legal Issues
11:05 AM -- We reached out to "The Doctors," which footed the bill for Aaron's rehab. They tell us, "The Doctors are saddened that Aaron did not complete the treatment we provided, as reclaiming his mental and physical health should be his number one priority. Although we are not continuing our work with him, we truly hope he gets better and is not negatively affected by outside influences.
Aaron Carter has bolted out of rehab after less than 2 weeks because he has to deal with some urgent matters.
Aaron's rep, Steve Honig, says, "Aaron has left the facility where he has been working on his wellness. Several legal and personal matters arose that required his immediate and in-person attention." Honig would not be more specific about the legal issues.

Despite his shortened stay, Aaron's rep says, "He is still very much committed to his wellness and will be continually working toward being the best person possible.”

Lindsay Lohan Senator's Snarky Drunk Dig Will Trigger Lawsuit
Michael and Dina Lohan plan to sue a U.S. senator who conjured up Lindsay's drunken past to lash out at a CEO.
The incident went down at a congressional hearing Wednesday as the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee grilled former Equifax CEO Richard Smith about the credit reporting firm's recent massive hacking.
One of the committee members asked, "Why in the world should you get a no-bid contract right now?" ... which was followed up by Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana, "You realize to many Americans right now, that looks like we're giving Lindsay Lohan the keys to the mini-bar."
As we've reported, Lindsay's struggled with drugs and alcoholism and has been open about it, and has changed for the better.
But her parents are FURIOUS and tell Gossip Cop they plan to sue Kennedy. Michael told the outlet, "His comment and analogy was inappropriate, slanderous and unwarranted. How dare he associate Lindsay with this case? Tell me, does he have a family member or friend with a former addiction problem?"
We've reached out to Senator Kennedy's office, so far no word back.
BTW ... just our opinion, but Dina and Michael don't have legal standing to sue ... it's all Lindsay, and so far she's been radio silent.
