Britney Spears' Ex -- Enemy of the State

Published | Updated

Britney Spears isn't the only California resident her ex paparazzo boyfriend has allegedly stiffed over the last couple of years -- he apparently screwed the rest of Cali's populace by not paying his taxes on time.

TMZ has obtained a lien filed by the Governator's tax henchmen, which shows Adnan Ghalib didn't pay $4,370 in state taxes in 2007.

It doesn't seem like a whole lot till you factor in the following:

-- $2,185 in penalties
-- $658.97 in interest
-- $352 in collection fees

That brings the total to $7,565.97. Lesson here? Pay your taxes on time, people ... and landing strips aren't meant for your face.

Published | Updated

Two cop cars were outside Jay Leno's Beverly Hills home yesterday -- and according to Jay, they were there investigating "the murder."

We're told the police are actually there because of filming in the area, which makes more sense ... since the only things Jay's capable of killing are Conan O'Brien's dreams.

Tiger Woods -- Already Masters the Odds

Published | Updated

It's only been a few hours since the PGA announced that Tiger Woods would address the media on Friday -- and already he's become the heavy betting favorite to win a major upcoming golf tournament.

Several major online gambling sites have marked Tiger as the odds-on favorite to win the Masters, which takes place in April.

According to Sportsbook.com, Tiger is currently listed at +250 -- which means a $10 bet pays $25.

The next closest competitor is Phil Mickelson, who is listed at +700. The odds on anyone else winning the tourney is at least +1000.

For the record -- Tiger has not made any public announcement regarding his future golf plans ... and hasn't played competitive golf since November.

Tiger Woods - Knock, Knock. Who's There? Elin

Published | Updated

It seems Tiger Woods got a visit today from an old friend -- his wife, Elin Nordegren.

Take a look at the white Cadillac Escalade in the driveway of the family's home in Isleworth where we're told Tiger is now living. We're told Elin, who has rented a house nearby, took the Escalade to the house this morning and parked it in the driveway.

Interesting ... before driving over Elin dropped their daughter off at school, bought two cups of coffee at a nearby Starbucks and then went to Tiger's.

UPDATE: Elin's twin sister Josefin was seen riding with her on the way to Tiger's house.

Nancy Kerrigan's Brother Allowed to Live w/ Mom

Published | Updated

Nancy Kerrigan's brother -- who faces charges of assaulting his father -- will be allowed to live with his mother after posting bail.

The judge changed the terms of Mark Kerrigan's bail this morning ... if he posts $10,000 bail, he can move back into the family home with his mom. The D.A. objected to the change, to no avail.

We're told if Mark posts bail, he'll have to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet and he can only leave the house for limited purposes.

Mark will also have to stay sober, and submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

Rip Torn's Homeland Defense

Published | Updated

Rip Torn's burglary case -- which was supposed to go before a judge today but didn't -- may not stick ... ironically, because of alcohol.

Rip was arrested last month after cops found him inside a bank with a loaded gun. But today, Rip's lawyer, Tom Waterfall, told TMZ Rip has what may be an airtight defense -- he thought he was in his Connecticut home (left) and not in a bank (right).

So, you say, the house is green and the bank is yellow. Not when you've been drinking. You say the house appears smaller than the bank. Not when you've been drinking. And, Waterfall says, the bank was once a house.

Short story ... an old man comes home in the dark after a night of drinking, the keys don't unlock the door so he breaks the window, enters, and goes to sleep. When the cops arrive Torn even asks why they came to his home. So good luck to prosecutors who try to prove Rip had an intent to steal.

As for the firearms charges ... that's a toughie. Rip's in rehab and Waterfall hopes he can convince the judge to go easy.

Britney's Lawyers: Stay Out of Her Life!

Published | Updated

Lawyers for Britney Spears' conservatorship have made their move to keep confidential "critical information" about Britney and her children.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ, attorneys Geraldine Wyle and Jeryll Cohen are worried that personal and medical information will leak out into the media unless it's put under legal lock and key.

In their argument, the attorneys note that "A Google search for Ms. Spears' name yields 54,300,000 hits." And they go on ... "Photographs and personal information, particular information of a highly confidential nature (such as personal medical information of Ms. Spears and her children), can potentially reap thousands if not millions of dollars."

The information is so sensitive the lawyers note on the open market "The possibility of such enormous profits presents a substantial risk that Ms. Spears' most confidential medical and personal information will be disclosed."

So the attorneys want the sensitive info about Britney, Sean Preston and Jayden James sealed, and stat.

Brittany Murphy's Dad: I Was Denied from Grave

Published | Updated

Brittany Murphy's father claims he was turned away from the cemetery where his daughter is buried after he asked officials to point him in the direction of the star's final resting place.

TMZ spoke with Angelo Bertolotti, who told us it all went down Monday afternoon when he arrived at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills and asked several employees for directions to Brittany's grave.

Bertolotti claims he was directed to the main office where officials refused to give him any information about his daughter ... despite the fact that Bertolotti claims he offered to provide proof of his relationship to Brittany.

FYI -- Bertolotti is not listed on Brittany's death certificate ... the section marked "father" was left blank.

Bertolotti tells us he was "raging" after being denied ... especially because he brought a special trinket to place on Brittany's grave.

A Forest Lawn rep tells TMZ, their policy is to allow people with proof of a relationship to a deceased person, access to the gravesite. The rep says they're checking into what happened with Mr. Bertolotti.

But Bertolotti isn't done fighting -- he says he's going to the L.A. County Coroner's Office today to get his name on Brittany's death certificate.

Pauly D's Trademark -- The Ultimate Spin Job

Published | Updated

Pauly D is now the third "Jersey Shore" star to try and lock down his nickname -- but this time, he wants to use the trademark strictly for the DJ booth.

TMZ has learned Pauly has applied for a trademark on the name "DJ Pauly D" -- strictly for use "in the nature of disc jockey services."

On the application, filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Pauly points out that he has no intention of trying to exclusively own the rights to the word "DJ" -- apart from "Pauly D."

As we've previously reported, The Situation and Snooki have also applied for trademarks on their nicknames.

Joey Fatone Plays Hardball Over Life-Size R2D2

Published | Updated

Joey Fatone's life-size replica of R2D2 isn't just an expensive toy -- the robot hero played a key role in a multi-million dollar real estate deal ... gone bad.

The R2D2 happened to catch the eye of a person interested in buying Joey's 12,370 sq. ft., $5.5 million Orlando mansion.

But the potential buyer didn't just want the house, he also wanted the "Star Wars" figure ... and a bunch of other cool stuff in the home.

According to Joey's rep, Fatone drafted a list of all the awesome items in the home that he was willing to part with -- along with the amount of money he planned to charge for each one. Some of the highlights include:

-- The R2D2 ... $40,000
-- Two Peter Pan Paintings: "We Can Fly" and "1st Look at Neverland" ... $2,700 for the pair
-- Video Games: Ms Pac-Man, Galaga, Centipede, and Multi Video Game Unit ... $4,500
-- Old Fashion Coke Machine ... $200

In the end the deal went belly up ... and it's unclear why the potential buyer decided to pass. Maybe The Force just wasn't strong with him.

Beyonce's Dad Ordered to Pay Child Support

Published | Updated

Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles, has just been ordered to support baby Nixon, at least temporarily ... TMZ has learned.

An L.A. judge just ordered Knowles to pay $8,200 a month in child support, retroactive to February 1. Knowles must also pay 100% of uninsured medical costs.

Alexsandra Wright claims she had an 18-month relationship with Knowles and he's the baby daddy of Nixon -- born February 4.

Wright's lawyer, Neal Hersh, went to court today asking for support and the judge granted it.

But Knowles will take a DNA test March 1 ... and the long-term support issues hinge on the outcome.

It's interesting -- Knowles has not flat out denied he's the daddy. And in fact, he gave Alexsandra $10,000 in January to cover uninsured medical costs and baby stuff.

UPDATE: The Judge ordered Knowles to pay Wright $20,750 for the month of January.
