Prince's family is taking action after it was announced no one would be criminally charged in the singer's death by suing the hospital that treated his overdose a week before he died.

Prince's family -- repped in the lawsuit by trustee Michael A. Zimmer -- just filed to sue Trinity Medical Center out of Illinois for allegedly failing to properly diagnose and treat Prince's opioid addiction before he suffered another, and ultimately fatal, overdose a week later.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the family claims that Trinity's action -- or lack thereof -- was a direct and proximate cause of Prince's death. They're also suing one of Trinity's doctors, Dr. Nicole Mancha, as well as an unidentified pharmacist and Walgreens employee whom they claim were involved in providing care to him in his final days. They're suing Walgreens, too, btw.

We broke the story ... Prince made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, where emergency responders gave him 2 shots of Narcan to save his life. He was taken to a nearby hospital at the time, which apparently turned out to be Trinity.

In regards to Walgreens, Prince's family claims the drug store chain was dispensing narcotic prescription medications to Prince for an invalid medical purpose and failed to make sure he was using the drug properly.

R. Kelly's daughter is reluctantly sticking by her old man amid mounting sex abuse allegations that are reaching a breaking point ... 'cause she says that's what family does.

We got Joann Kelly -- who goes by her artist name, Buku -- in Atlanta Monday, where we asked about the ever-growing scandal surrounding her father, who's been accused of grooming young women to be "sex pets" while allegedly holding them against their will.

Joann tells us she doesn't want to speak too much on the matter, but you can tell the issue hits close to home. She does admit, though, to feeling "terrible" about the whole thing.

Will was also there by her side for the big reveal on the steps of the hospital. Both mom and baby have been reported to be in perfect health.

Kate Middleton has just given birth to her third child ... and it's a BOY!!!

The Duchess of Cambridge popped Monday at St. Mary's Hospital in London. The new royal was announced to weigh in at 8 lbs. 7 oz. by Kensington Palace. Prince William was at Kate's side for the birth.

As is tradition, the Town Crier announced the birth from the steps of the Lindo Wing of the hospital. The customary announcement -- complete with bell ringing and feathered cap -- was also made for Kate's other two births.

Kate and Prince William announced last September baby No. 3 was on the way but the announcement came only after the cat had been outta the bag. The royal family was seemingly forced to announce she was pregnant after canceling a public appearance due to extreme morning sickness.

She also suffered from morning sickness before giving birth to Prince George in 2013 and Princess Charlotte in 2015. Btw ... baby No. 3 will be fifth in line to the throne -- after Prince Charles, Prince William and his 2 siblings.

Kate Middleton and Prince William haven't announced the name for their newborn son yet, but there's already a bunch of people betting it'll be Arthur.

We reached out to Ladbrokes, a major UK betting company, who's been taking bets on the new royal baby name and Arthur is the clear frontrunner.

If you're wondering why Arthur ... royals are traditionally named after relatives and Arthur is commonly used in the royal family. Both Prince Charles and Prince William have Arthur as a middle name, but it hasn't been used as a first name in a while.

Kate and Prince William's son was born Monday morning at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. It's their third kid, second son and fifth in line to the throne.

Traci Braxton is taking a career setback and turning it into a comeback -- after getting thrown off her sister Toni's upcoming tour ... she's opting to hit the road on her own.

Traci says she's getting a second chance thanks to a TV network that's offered to back her tour in June. She was supposed to open for Toni and Tamar on a few dates this summer, but got 86'ed due to the family drama surrounding Tamar's divorce. Tamar also got the boot eventually.

Traci says her tour's not just a surprise for her fans ... she didn't tell her sisters! Until now.

Despite all the family drama, almost all of the sisters sang on Traci's new single, "Broken Things." Tamar was the sole holdout, but Traci insists there's no hard feelings, and they're actually talking about doing a duet soon.

Kourtney Kardashian celebrated big the year before her big 4-0 ... at the happiest place on earth.

The 39-year-old and her extended brood hit up Disneyland Saturday. Boyfriend Younes Bendjima, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Mason and Penelope jumped on ride after ride and all clearly had a blast.

April Love Geary is clearly in love ... yeah, probably with her baby daddy Robin Thicke, but clearly with her baby Mia Love Thicke.

Robin took the pic of mother breastfeeding baby, and April proudly posted it with the caption, "MOM pic by baby daddy."

23-year-old April gave birth 2 months ago. It's 41-year-old Robin's second child. He has a 7-year-old son Julian with ex-wife Paula Patton.

11:25 AM PT -- Oman police say Avicii's body will be flown home to Sweden this week. Still no word on the cause of his death.

One of Avicii's family members is on the ground in Oman leading the charge to find out what killed the world famous DJ ... TMZ has learned.

Sources in Oman tell us Avicii's older brother, David Bergling, checked into an upscale hotel in the capital city of Muscat on Friday evening ... hours after Avicii was found dead. We're told the hotel where he's staying is about 15 minutes away from Muscat Hills -- the resort where Avicii had been vacationing.

As we showed you, the EDM superstar posed for several photos with fans at the resort, and witnesses say he appeared to be in good spirits during his time there.

According to reports in Avicii's native Sweden, he had checked out of Muscat Hills sometime last week. One of the things David is likely looking into is exactly where his brother and a small group of friends went in the days leading up to his death.

Mel B says Stephen Belafonte is trying to pull a fast one by making it look like he decided to get their daughter into therapy, and she adds his brainwashing allegations are desperate.

According to new legal docs ... Mel B says she reached out to Stephen in late 2017 to get counseling for their 6-year-old daughter, Madison. Instead of agreeing and helping out, Mel claims Stephen waited a few months to file docs in which he accuses her of brainwashing Madison.

In her docs, Mel says therapy for their daughter was her idea all along -- so, she's not opposed to it. In fact, she even has suggestions for possible doctors for Madison to see.

As for Belafonte's brainwashing allegations -- Mel B says they're all nonsense ... and he has absolutely no evidence to support his claims Madison is acting differently toward him.

Mel adds, they already have a custody plan in place and they should stick to it, because she's done nothing to alienate their daughter from him.

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's baby girl is officially registered in the system in Ohio ... and she's without a middle name.

The birth certificate -- obtained by TMZ -- mostly confirms what we already knew thanks to Khloe ... True weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz and was 21 inches long. It also confirms True was born without a middle name, much like her cousins North, Saint, Stormi and Chicago.

We broke the story ... Tristan was there for True's birth despite the tumultuous time for the couple, and Kourtney, Kim, Kris and Khloe's BFF Malika were also by her side. This is Khloe and the Cavs star's first child together.

As we reported ... True is a family name -- it was the name of Kris' grandfather -- but it's interesting Khloe chose to use Thompson as the baby's last name in wake of his cheating scandal when she didn't have to ... and their relationship is in ruins.

James Harrison just hung it up, but could Tom Brady be next??

With rumors swirling on Brady potentially not playing this season, we asked Deebo himself -- Tom's teammate last year -- and he told us it would NOT surprise him ... given the sacrifices TB, Gisele and the kids make so he can play ball.

“That’s up to Tom and what decisions he and his family make as far as what he wants to do, and if he does want to continue to play, what he’s willing to sacrifice and the family is willing to sacrifice,” Harrison told TMZ Sports.

James would know -- telling us that's why he decided to retire earlier this week.

Specifically, the Pro Bowl LB says he's interested in introducing his 2 sons to tackle football -- and possibly even coaching them!

Deebo says it's a tough decision for any parent to make given everything that's out on CTE -- but explained why he wants his sons exposed to it before they hit their teens.

Kourtney Kardashian's ringing in her 39th birthday at a fancy Malibu restaurant, but she coulda gone to Chuck E. Cheese ... because she celebrated with all of her kids.

Kourtney had Mason, Penelope and Reign in tow as she left Taverna Tony Wednesday afternoon. Looks like Kourt and the fam enjoyed cupcakes during lunch, complete with candles ... although far less than 39 of 'em. Penelope got to do the honors.

She also got some bday love from new mom, Khloe ... who posted some fave shots of their sisterly adventures -- with the caption, "I can't imagine life without you!"

As we reported ... Kourt and the rest of the sisters flew to Cleveland to support Khloe during, and right after, she gave birth to True -- smack in the middle of Tristan Thompson's cheating scandal.

Ray J doesn't have a clue about how to change diapers, but the father-to-be is about to learn from two people who have firsthand experience ... Heidi and Spencer Pratt.

Sources tell us Ray J and Princess Love will be producing and starring in their own 2-hour VH1 special that leads up to their daughter's birth. Ray's manager, David Weintraub -- who's also a daddy -- will produce and appear in the special as well.

As for Heidi and Spencer ... they seemed like a perfect fit since they have infant experience with their 6-month-old son, Gunner. Even Ray's pal, Too Short, will pitch in with parenting pointers.

They've already started shooting, and based on this clip -- about what kinda booze dads should drink -- it's gonna be interesting.

Khloe and True are on their own now with Tristan Thompson, because her fam just hopped on a private jet out of Cleveland.

Kris Jenner and her daughters -- Kim, Kourtney and Kendall -- were wheels up and bound for L.A. Tuesday afternoon. Kris has stayed in Cleveland since last week when Khloe gave birth, but the sisters flew back into Ohio yesterday.

As we reported, Khloe and Tristan's relationship is in ruins right now, and her plan is to bounce out of Cleveland as soon as she and True are medically cleared to make the flight back to Cali.

Khloe Kardashian just got some major family reinforcements on the ground again in Cleveland, 'cause her sisters just touched down to be by her side after a rough week.

Kim, Kendall and Kourtney were spotted stepping off their private jet in The Land Monday after a long Coachella weekend -- the same day Khloe announced the name of her and Tristan Thompson's newborn baby girl ... one True Thompson.

As you'll recall, Kim and Kourtney flew into Cleveland last Wednesday ahead of the birth ... but jetted back to L.A. a day later. Kris stuck around, though ... and now the whole fam (sans Kylie) seems to be reunited yet again amid a tumultuous time for the new parents.

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett aren't doing "split weekends with the kids" like most divorcing couples, and they're style seems to support what Hank told TMZ -- that there's still a chance.

The estranged couple spent Sunday on the sidelines of daughter Alijah's soccer game, with their son, Hank Jr., in tow, too. It's the second weekend in a row they've spent together since she filed for divorce. They're clearly making their kids the priority, but there's more to this than just good co-parenting.

Hank told us on Friday his door is always open for Kendra, and made it sound like reconciliation is a strong possibility ... at some point.
