Police detained and questioned George at the home in Lake Mary, Florida, where Shellie's parents live. George has not been arrested, and has reportedly already left the home.

1:42 PM PT -- Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell tells us, Shellie and her father have declined to press charges and George will NOT be arrested.

He said, “My understanding is that she never saw his firearm and that is what she is now telling us. So George Zimmerman is free to go and will not be arrested at this time." Strange.

George Zimmerman Will Continue To Pay Wife From Legal Defense Fund

Published | Updated

George Zimmerman will continue to pay his estranged wife's living expenses from his legal defense fund, and he may even use money from the fund to pay her alimony if it comes to that ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Shellie Zimmerman received $4,300 after the couple separated for living expenses, and the money came from the George Zimmerman Legal Defense Fund. Solicitations for the fund stated that money could be used for their living expenses, but that's when they were still together.

Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... Shellie is not a gold digger and only wants necessary expenses. We're told George will continue to pay her way from his fund, but the monthly amount will vary and every penny will be backed up with a receipt.

Now this is interesting. If George is ordered to pay Shellie alimony when they divorce, he is leaving open the possibility that he could pay that through his legal defense fund.

So we gotta ask ...

George Zimmerman's Wife Who is This Guy?

Published | Updated

Shellie Zimmerman says she never really knew the man she was married to for 6 years -- but one thing she knows for sure ... he's selfish to the core.

George Zimmerman's soon-to-be ex-wife appeared on "Good Morning America" Friday and made it clear there's no love lost.

Shellie has filed for divorce. She wants the 2 dogs and a cut of any judgment George gets in his defamation lawsuit against NBC.

As TMZ first reported, she's getting more than $4k a month from the Zimmerman Legal Defense Fund.

George Zimmerman Estranged Wife Gets Chunk Of Legal Defense Money

Published | Updated

Some people who believed in George Zimmerman may be pissed off to learn ... a chunk of the money he raised for his legal defense is now going to support his soon-to-be ex-wife ... TMZ has learned.

According to divorce docs that will soon be filed by Shellie Zimmerman, she claims she's getting $4,300 a month in living expenses from the Zimmerman Legal Defense Fund. The couple separated August 13th.

According to the solicitation on PayPal ... the fund is to be used "for George Zimmerman's ongoing living expenses, legal costs, and fees for this matter."

Now it gets a little more complicated. George Zimmerman's official legal defense website says, "Currently George and Shellie are renting a secure residence at a reasonable rate. Their day-to-day living expenses are relatively modest as they want to preserve as many funds as possible for an aggressive defense."

But here's the thing. He won almost 2 months ago, and the site raised more than $300,000. He may still owe money to his lawyers, but the case is over and it's a little weird the $4,300 a month is going to Shellie individually ... not the legal team.

Steve Nash Caves on Battle with Ex Kids Now Living in L.A.

Published | Updated

NBA star Steve Nash scored a huge legal victory over his ex-wife -- blocking her from moving their kids to L.A. -- and then promptly agreed, for some strange reason, to let the fam come to Cali after all ... TMZ has learned.

As we first reported, the Los Angeles Lakers point guard has been battling his ex, Alejandra Nash, for months over her desire to move their 3 kids from Phoenix to L.A. -- in part because Steve thinks L.A. is a horrible place to raise kids. He even said so in open court.

Steve also believed Alejandra only wanted to be in L.A. because California laws could result in her getting increased child support payments.

Ultimately, the court agreed -- according to documents the judge ruled Alejandra failed to prove the move was "in the children's best interests" -- and her relocation request was "motivated, at least in part, by issues surrounding child support, which is an inappropriate basis for relocation."

Now this is where it gets weird.

Sources connected with the case , tell us Alejandra and the kids are currently living in L.A.! Further, we're told the children have already enrolled in public school in the South Bay section of L.A.

It's a huge mystery -- Nash fought tooth and nail to stop Alejandra, won the case ... and then upped and forfeited the 'W.'

Calls to Nash's attorney haven't been returned.

Ariel Castro Found Dead Hanging in Prison Cell

Published | Updated

Rapist/kidnapper Ariel Castro -- who had been sentenced to life in prison for the abduction, rape, and torture of 3 Cleveland women he held captive for years -- has been found dead in his Ohio prison cell after apparently committing suicide.

States corrections officials said 53-year-old Castro was found hanging in his cell by prison staff while they were doing rounds at the facility.

Castro -- a former school bus driver -- had been under protective custody in isolation from other inmates.

Ironic ... considering Castro struck a plea deal that got him life in prison (plus a thousand years) in order to avoid the death penalty. All told he pled guilty to 937 criminal counts, including kidnapping and murder (after forcibly causing one of his victim's to abort a fetus).

Charlie Sheen Halfway to $150 Mil Payday

Published | Updated

Charlie Sheen has officially made it halfway to the biggest payday of his life ... $150 million from "Anger Management" ... and no one really thought he'd make it this far.

Charlie just wrapped his 50th episode of the show ... a milestone in the broadcast world ... because once "Anger Management" hits 100 episodes, it's eligible for syndication.

Syndication -- where a show is packaged and sold off to TV stations around the world -- is where the big bucks are ... and we're told Charlie stands to earn at LEAST $150 million if a syndication deal goes through. It took Charlie nearly 3 times as long to earn the equivalent sum -- $150 mil -- for "Two and a Half Men."

Here's the rub. The 100th episode of "Anger Management" is set to film in October, 2014. That gives Charlie well over a year to do that thing he does ... which can sometimes derail a show. But, so far, so good.

Charlie Sheen Mystery Alaska I'm Hunting a Half-Otter Man

Published | Updated

Barely a month after his Loch Ness monster mission failed, Charlie Sheen is back on the hunt for crazy mythological creatures ... this time in snowy, snowy Alaska ... Charlie's favorite.

Charlie tells TMZ, he flew up to Sitka, AK on his private jet last week in search of the mythic Kushtaka, which loosely translates to "Land otter man."

Stories about the elusive Kushtaka originated among natives in Southeastern Alaska ... and according to Charlie, it's "a shape-shifting trickster who is half man, half otter. It lures one away from the campsite with the mimicked sounds of a crying baby, then kills you, takes on YOUR form, and returns to the scene for more suckers or prey."

Charlie says he embarked into the wilderness with some friends in order to find the creature ... but just like on his Nessie mission, he returned empty-handed. Sheen has since flown back to civilization.

Charlie tells us, "It obviously knew our group was far too skilled to be snowed in this fashion so it stayed hidden like a sissy."

Yeah, that's what happened.
