THE STUNT GONE WRONG

The Cirque du Soleil acrobat who fell during the finale of a Beatles LOVE performance seemed to lose their grip at the height of a rope stunt -- and based on this footage, he's lucky.

We broke the story ... the Sunday night accident at The Mirage in Las Vegas, forced performers to cut the music and send the audience home early. First responders needed room in the theater to get to the guy who went down hard.

You can see in the video ... everything started off as planned as the acrobats and dancers performed to "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" ... the stuntman elevated on the rope and came down safely twice.

The third time though, he lost control and plummeted to the ground.

After the fall, a fellow performer gave an emergency signal, but there were several seconds of confusion -- others on stage didn't know what happened, and kept the show going. It's awkward to watch, but they just had no way of initially knowing.

It's impossible to see this accident and not think of Genea Sky's 15-foot drop from a stripper pole in Texas. She suffered some brutal injuries but survived ... just like this guy in Vegas.

A rep for LOVE tells us the emergency team got him backstage and he was transported to a hospital. His injuries were non-life threatening, and they say he wants to get back ... in the show!!!

LOVE says he's doing well and they expect him to be back in the show soon.

A day in the life.

Denny Hamlin On Daytona 500 Celebration I Didn't Know Ryan Newman Was Hurt

Published | Updated
Denny Hamlin
AN UNFORTUNATE EVENT

Denny Hamlin tells TMZ Sports the only reason he celebrated his Daytona 500 victory on Monday night is because he had no idea Ryan Newman was badly injured in a crash.

As Hamlin took the checkered flag, 42-year-old Newman had to be rescued from his car following a terrifying crash during the final lap.

Newman's car not only flipped on it's top -- but it was rammed by another car and exploded into flames on the track.

While emergency responders rushed to help Newman, Hamlin was doing victory donuts on the track as confetti fell from the sky -- shocking concerned viewers, who felt the celebration was incredibly insensitive.

But now 39-year-old Hamlin is explaining the situation ... claiming he simply had no idea Newman was battling serious injuries.

"We didn't know until we got into victory lane," Hamlin told us on the way out of the Sirius XM building in New York ... "So, it's unfortunate circumstances, but certainly thinking about Ryan."

We asked if he had spoken with Newman since the crash -- "No, I haven't spoken to him, but obviously they updated last night."

As we previously reported, Newman was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors say he is now in serious condition -- but insist his injuries are not life-threatening.

WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE

James Harden had a front-row seat for a Desiigner performance in Vegas, but he got more than he bargained for ... 'cause the rapper fell off stage right into the NBA superstar!!!

Desiigner was in the middle of his hit song "Panda" Tuesday around 1:30 AM at JEWEL Nightclub when he misstepped. Seriously, he just missed a step and toppled off stage onto Harden's back. Chill, Houston ... you don't have a problem. The Beard and its owner were not injured.

Our sources say James was trying to keep it low-key inside the club -- he had his hoodie on when he arrived. That went out the window when Desiigner found out he was there and blew up Harden's spot.

The brush with Desiigner didn't ruin Harden's night or his All-Star break -- the Rockets are off until Thursday night. We gotta give JH props here ... for NOT flopping!!!

'Two and a Half Men' Star Conchata Ferrell on the Mend ... After Near-Fatal Illness

Published | Updated

"Two and a Half Men" fans will be shocked to hear their beloved Berta almost died from an illness recently that had her in the ICU for an extended stay -- but the good news is she's getting better.

Conchata Ferrell was hospitalized this past December in Charleston, West Virginia -- where she'd been hanging out at her vacation home since Thanksgiving. We're told in early December, she came down with something leaving her feeling weak and frail -- which turned out to be a kidney infection that spread and began contaminating her blood.

Conchata was in the ICU for at least a couple weeks while doctors worked to treat her, and just this past January ... we're told she was finally released and put into transitional care.

She was recovering at her Charleston home for the rest of the month, going through physical therapy with nurses several times a day. We're told Conchata was bedridden and couldn't even walk until recently -- now, she's back in L.A. and on her own two feet once more.

Conchata tells TMZ ... she's really not too sure how she contracted the infection, as she's not really one to get sick all that often. That said, she tells us her family was with her through every step of the process and traveled out of state to see her on at least 6 occasions.

Her husband, Arnie, was by her side too ... working tirelessly every day to make sure Conchata was okay. According to her, Arnie hasn't taken care of anything a day in his life ... but was there for her when she needed him. They don't say "in sickness" for nothing!

As for the future, we're told Conchata wants to get back into acting ASAP -- but she's still a got some recovering to do until then. Feel better, CF ... helluva trooper if there ever was one.

As you can see, he was holding the mic in his left hand and his pimp cup in his right before he fell ... and he says he saved the cup from any harm.

Afroman's producer, Ditch, tells TMZ ... the rapper's glass is no cheap knockoff -- it comes from Debbie the Glass Lady, creator of the Crunk Cup, and goes for about $3,000.

Ditch also says Afroman was not injured in the incident, but we pretty much already knew that ... because he was dancing it up with a mystery girl after his show, pimp cup still in hand.

Baby, that's all he needs.

We're told she's grateful for all her fellow strippers who've reached out with comforting messages and shared their own injury stories ... it's made Genea feel like she's not alone.

Our sources say the painful experience has also inspired Sky to try to change the industry and improve exotic dancers' lives ... but she's not sure how yet.

The interesting thing is ... we're told Genea's received a ton of offers from strip clubs and been asked to appear in music vids ever since she unintentionally went viral, but she wants none of it.

Our sources say Genea's focused on healing up right now after having surgery for a broken jaw ... along with her other injuries.

It should be noted -- she has made appearances in a couple popular music videos, including G-Eazy's "No Limit" remix ... so maybe she can get back to that when she's all better, even if her days on the pole are no more.

The Bounce-Back Stripper Falls Off Two-Story, 15-Ft Pole Gets Up, Keeps Twerking!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

6:22 PM PT -- Genea just shared an update from her hospital bed, saying her jaw is wired shut after a successful surgery.

UPDATE

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

A stripper in Texas proved she's got nerves of steel and fantastic muscle memory ... hopping right back into a twerking routine after taking a 15-foot fall off a pole.

The gal's name is Genea Sky, and she seriously injured herself this weekend at a gentlemen's club in the Lone Star State -- where she was performing onstage and hiked up a super tall pole that some people say reached the two-story mark ... only to go tumbling down.

Genea ends up falling on her face from that high up, but what's even crazier ... she almost immediately bounces right back up and starts twerking from all fours. What a pro!!!

In all seriousness, though, it was a nasty fall. And, it sounds like the dancer took some lumps as a result -- Genea later took to social media to announce she'd fractured her jaw, cracked some of her teeth, sprained her ankle ... and needed stitches, plus surgery.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Now, a ton of people have made jokes about the video -- which as since gone viral. Even 50 Cent has weighed in, jokingly saying she must've died and that the nerves are what made her shake afterward. That said, Genea notes there's nothing funny about her predicament.

In fact, one of her good friends even went so far as to create a GoFundMe for Genea to help cover her medical expenses. So far, it's already racked up over $13k out of a $20k goal.

No word on where exactly this took place, but one thing you gotta wonder about in this case ... is she eligible for worker's comp? Do strip clubs have medical?? Hmmm ... 🤔

Shannen Doherty State Farm is Cigarette Shaming I Quit When I Got Cancer!!!

Published
UPDATE

2:43 PM PT -- A rep for State Farm tells TMZ that Shannen's latest motion "once again distorts the facts. Rather than try this smoke damage case in the media, we will do so in a court of law."

Shannen Doherty claims State Farm is engaging in a smear campaign against her, and exhibit A is a cheap shot it took about her tobacco use ... which she calls way over the line.

The former '90210' star filed new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, claiming State Farm is invading her privacy and making false claims about her smoking habits. As a result she wants a judge to punish the insurance giant with crippling sanctions.

Shannen says State Farm got it totally wrong when it claimed, in docs, she was smoking cigarettes up until March 2019. Total BS, according to Shannen, who says she kicked the habit back in 2015 ... after her original breast cancer diagnosis.

Of course, her recent stage 4 cancer diagnosis is at the center of her legal beef with State Farm. They're haggling over her home repair costs following the devastating California wildfires.

In the docs, Shannen says it's utterly ridiculous State Farm is attempting to smear her image by raising her tobacco use in the lawsuit.

What's more, Shannen's also pissed her insurer included her medical records and street address in other legal filings -- 2 things she's worked hard to shield from the public.
