Robert Mueller Ex-FBI Director Returns As Special Counsel on Russia Probe
The Justice Department is bringing back former FBI Director Robert Mueller to lead the ongoing investigation into any potential Russian interference in last year's election.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein -- who encouraged the firing of James Comey -- just appointed Mueller as special counsel on the investigation. Rosenstein said, "I determined that it is in the public interest for me to exercise my authority and appoint a Special Counsel to assume responsibility of this matter."
There was mounting pressure for the move ... especially after President Trump 86'd Comey, and allegedly asked him to drop his investigation into Gen. Flynn.
One FBI source described Mueller as a straight shooter who "will go where the facts take him" ... and wouldn't be swayed by President Trump or any other politician.
Mueller led the FBI between 2001 and 2013. He also was the longest serving FBI director after J. Edgar Hoover.

NFL Calls BS On Gisele No Evidence Tom Brady Suffered Concussion
The NFL is disputing Gisele's claims that Tom Brady secretly suffered a concussion during the 2016 season ... saying there's no evidence the Patriots QB suffered any sort of head injury.
NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy just issued a statement saying, "We have reviewed all reports relating to Tom Brady from the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants and certified athletic trainer spotters who worked at Patriots' home and away 2016 season games as well as club injury reports that were sent to the league office."
"There are no records that indicate that Mr. Brady suffered a head injury or concussion, or exhibited or complained of concussion symptoms."
"Today we have been in contact with the NFLPA and will work together to gather more information from the club's medical staff and Mr. Brady."
"The health and safety of our players is our foremost priority and we want to ensure that all our players have and continue to receive the best care possible."
The NFL isn't directly saying Gisele lied during an appearance on "CBS This Morning" -- but they're certainly mounting the case against her.

UFC's Demetrious Johnson Blasts Rousey You Lost, 'Grow the F*** Up'
UFC superstar Demetrious Johnson has some tough love for Ronda Rousey -- "You got your ass beat, grow the f*ck up."
Johnson has won 12 straight fights -- but says if he does get defeated, he does NOT want to handle the loss the way Ronda did after getting her face kicked in by Holly Holm.
"You look at Ronda Rousey. You got your ass beat, grow the f*ck up," DJ told Sports Illustrated ... "It happens. It's mixed martial arts. I don't want to be like that. If I lose, I'll be like, I lost."
Ronda essentially went into hiding for months before taking a fight more than a year later.
"Everybody f*cking loses. It's part of the sport. Grow up. Look, Ronda, you lost two f*cking fights in a row, and you made more f*cking money than the women's roster."
Johnson's referring to the $3 mil (plus PPV revenue) Ronda banked for UFC 207 -- the fight where she got crushed by Amanda Nunes and then blew off the post-fight news conference.
Johnson did have some nice parting words for Ronda, who’s off planning her wedding right now. “You'll be fine, don't worry about it."

Donald Trump No Prez Has Had It As Hard As I Do ... So Chin Up, Graduates!
President Trump's commencement speech to U.S. Coast Guard grads came off like a bit of a pity party because, as he put it ... "no politician in history has been treated worse or more unfairly."
The prez was in New London, CT Wednesday for the graduation ceremony, and during his speech he referenced the white elephant -- all the heat on him over firing James Comey, and the allegation he asked the then FBI Director to stop investigating Gen. Flynn.
Trump said, "Look at the way I've been treated lately, especially by the media." He seemed defiant though, telling the grads ... "Never ever, ever give up! Things will work out just fine."
That remains to be seen.

Ex-Baylor Volleyball Player Allegedly Gang Raped By Football Players
More vile allegations involving the Baylor football team ... this time a former Baylor women's volleyball player claims she was gang raped by a group of football players in 2012.
The woman, who identifies herself as Jane Doe,
-- claiming she was "brutally gang raped by at least four and, according to some reports, as many as eight, Baylor football players." The woman notes Art Briles was the head coach at the time.
In her suit, the woman claims she was at a party when she was "drugged" by football players -- picked up and carried into one of the football players' truck.
She remembers being taken to a bedroom where she was "lying on her back, unable to move and staring at glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling as the football players took turns raping her."
The woman claims she remembers hearing the players yell, "Grab her phone! Delete my numbers and texts" ... in an apparent effort to get rid of damning evidence.
In her suit, she claims at least one of the players took nude photos of her during the gang rape.
There's more ... after she reported the incident to the Baylor counseling center, she claims the Baylor football team sought retribution. She claims several players broke into her apartment and ransacked her room, stealing money and other belongings.
The woman claims she reported the burglary to the Waco PD but no charges were pressed.
She claims the football players continued to threaten and harass her until she left the school in 2013.
The woman is seeking unspecified damages.
Baylor has issued a statement saying, "The alleged incident outlined in the court filing occurred more than 5 years ago, and Baylor University has been in conversations with the victim’s legal counsel for many months in an attempt to reach an amicable resolution."
"As this case proceeds, Baylor maintains its ability to present facts -- as available to the University -- in response to the allegations contained in the legal filing."'
"The University’s response in no way changes Baylor’s position that any assault involving members of our campus community is reprehensible and inexcusable."
"Baylor remains committed to eliminating all forms of sexual and gender-based harassment and discrimination within our campus community."

Gisele Tom Brady Has Concussions All The Time 'We Don't Talk About'
-
Breaking News

Tom Brady suffered a football-related concussion last year that nobody knew about -- and he secretly gets concussions all the time -- so says his wife, Gisele.
The supermodel appeared on "CBS This Morning" on Wednesday and expressed frustration with Tom's health ... particularly the brain injuries he suffers on the field.
"Football ... like he had a concussion last year," Gisele said.
"I mean he has concussions pretty much every [year] ... I mean, we don't talk about. But he does have concussions."
This could be a big deal ... considering Brady was not listed on the NFL injury list for a concussion once in 2016. It begs the question ... was the injury covered up to keep him on the field?
In the NFL, if a player is diagnosed with a concussion during a game, he is NOT allowed to return to the field for the remainder of that game. He may return the following week at the discretion of his doctor.
"I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through like, through that kind of aggression like, all the time–that cannot be healthy for you, right?"
"I mean I’m planning on having him be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we’re like 100, I hope."

Chelsea Manning Released from Prison with Strings Attached
Chelsea Manning just walked out of prison 28 years early thanks to Barack Obama ... but she'll have to be on her best behavior since she's still technically a soldier.
Manning -- who had her prison sentence commuted by Obama before he left office -- is in the middle of appealing her original conviction in a military tribunal ... so she'll remain on active duty with the U.S. Army while that plays out. The process could take years.
You'll recall ... Manning pled guilty to leaking classified intel to WikiLeaks and was serving a 35 year sentence. She attempted suicide twice while behind bars after coming out as transgender.
Because she's still on active duty, Manning will be subject to military rules and punishments if she commits a new crime ... which could include something as minor as trashing her old bosses.
In other words ... Chelsea's gotta lay low until she's discharged. And the only way that'll happen is if she drops the appeal ... or waits for an official decision in her case.
After being released early Wednesday morning, she posted her first pic to IG and said in a statement ... "After another anxious four months of waiting, the day has finally arrived. I am looking forward to so much! Whatever is ahead of me is far more important than the past. I’m figuring things out right now – which is exciting, awkward, fun, and all new for me."
