If the hook in Ariana Grande's hit song, "One Last Time," sounds familiar that's because she jacked it from a song that came out 2 years earlier ... according to a new lawsuit.

Songwriter Alex Greggs says he wrote, and holds the copyright on the 2012 tune, "Takes All Night" ... an EDM track for Skye Stevens. In the suit, Greggs says Ariana and David Guetta -- who produced "One Last Time" -- duplicated the most memorable part of his song ... the chorus!

Greggs is a heavy hitter, who's worked with Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and both Jacksons -- Janet and Michael -- and says Ariana copied his music as well as lyrics, like ... "take(s) [or taking] you home."

He's suing for a cut of the profits from AG's track, a top 20 hit in 2014.

Cromartie's rep says the only reason he didn't pay the support is because he was fighting Pierre over custody. The rep claims she had ongoing legal issues, and says Cro felt Alonzo wasn't safe with her.

Antonio Cromartie took his $3 million deal from the Coltsand immediately used it to settle a child support dispute with a baby mama ... and avoided a possible arrest in the process.

Cromartie was delinquent on child support payments to Rosemita Pierre -- the mother of Alonzo, his oldest child ... aka #1 of 13. According to docs, AC was ordered to pay her $4,000 per month, starting in January 2016 but failed to do so.

He was due in a Florida court last week to either pay up or explain why he couldn't -- but Cro was a no-show. Then the cavalry arrived in the form of the Colts one-year contract ... which he signed Monday.

We're told Cromartie made a payment Tuesday afternoon. It's unclear how much he forked over, but it was enough for the judge to withdraw a warrant that had been issued earlier in the day.

Tyga better bust out his bad renter playbook to deal with another landlord who won a judgment against him for trashing a rented space.

Tyga owes $186,275.89 to F&S Investment Properties after he allegedly abandoned ship and left the space in ruins ... according to docs. The "Rack City" rapper rented the space for his company, Egypt Last Kings Clothing, and is accused of pouring ink down the drain and a bunch of other tenant no-nos.

Here's the deal ... if Tyga doesn't pay he knows what could happen next -- F&S lawyers will grill him in court about his finances. You'll recall a Malibu landlord tried to do the same, but when Tyga was a no-show for a hearing ... a warrant went out for his arrest. He eventually paid up to settle the case.

No doubt, F&S is gunning for the same result. Rinse and repeat.

Wes Scantlin scared the crap out of his neighbors by pulling a Wile E. Coyote plot that made his car look like a bomb ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the Puddle of Mudd singer took matters into his own hands after his car was broken into multiple times. We're told the scheme -- involving 2 vehicles -- was pretty basic: a radio under one car with wires leading into the motor, and the second car had wires from a door to the gas tank.

Rather than scare off crooks, it terrified neighbors who called cops. The bomb squad came out and evacuated 4 surrounding buildings in the WeHo neighborhood.

As you can imagine, cops laid into Wes for the stupid idea, which drained valuable police resources.

He wasn't charged with a crime, for once. He needs to go buy The Club.

Tre Mason's mother has told police ... her son should NOT be playing football anymore -- because the head injuries he suffered in the NFL have had a devastating impact on his mental health.

TMZ Sports has obtained police footage from a July 27th incident when cops cited the L.A. Rams running back for illegally riding his ATV around his neighborhood in Palm Beach, Florida.

When they got to his home, cops told his family they were concerned Mason was too busy "f***ing around" and "should be playing football."

That's when Tre's mother dropped some real talk on the cops.

"No, he actually shouldn't," she said ..."because this is the [side of] football that nobody knows about."

"He's 22 in a 10-year-old's mindset right now ... Tre's not himself at all."

Tre's mother says the family could see an obvious change in Tre's personality after the 2015 NFL season ended.

As we previously reported, Tre has been at the center of several police incidents in the past few months -- and his family clearly believes football is the root of the problem.

Conrad Hilton smashed his daddy's Range Rover head-on into another woman -- just a few hours after he dodged jail time for another high-speed wreck ... according to a new lawsuit.

Kelly Auld says Paris Hilton's troubled little bro was driving erratically in the white Range and drifting into her lane. In the docs, she says he accelerated, and clipped another car before smashing into hers.

Auld says in the seconds before the crash, she saw Hilton looking dazed with BOTH hands above his head as he careened toward her. In the suit, she says witnesses saw Conrad throw a bong out his window, and he was covered in vomit when he got out of the SUV.

The vehicle was registered to Hilton & Hyland, Rick Hilton's real estate firm ... according to the suit.

She's done her research too -- Auld points out Conrad entered a court-ordered drug treatment program last year, and had been prohibited from driving.

And get this ... she says the accident happened May 19 -- the day after Conrad struck a plea deal for a 100 mph wreck near Palm Springs.

Shannen Doherty just landed a settlement in that huge $15 million lawsuit she filed against her ex-manager for allegedly screwing up her health insurance.

We broke the story ... Shannen sued her former management firm, claiming they mismanaged her insurance premiums and let her policy lapse at a critical time when doctors could've done an early detection of her breast cancer.

According to docs, both sides agreed to settle the matter late last week. The amount of money Shannen is getting is confidential. The battle was really heating up right before the settlement -- lawyers for her ex-manager tried to get Shannen to sit for round 2 of a deposition ... questioning how sick she really was from her cancer and treatments.

It's a moot point now.

Demi Lovato has been sued by the group Sleigh Bells for allegedly ripping off their critically acclaimed song, "Infinity Guitars."

Demi's song "Stars" -- released last year as a bonus track in her album "Confident" -- has "virtually identical content" to "Infinity Guitars" ... so claims the group. The lawsuit says, "The combination of the hand claps and bass drum, structured as 3 quarter beats and a rest ... is at least substantially similar in both works."

"Infinity Guitars," released in 2010, was a massive critically acclaimed hit, scoring in Rolling Stone as one of the best songs of the year.

Last November, producers said "We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato's song Stars. Demi was also not involved with the production. She only wrote top line."

Sleigh Bells wants some serious profits from Demi and the other defendants, and they want to yank her song from getting more play.

Swimmer Jimmy Feigen's nearly $11k deal to avoid a Rio jail could backfire against future Team USA Olympians.

TMZ has learned Feigen's $10,800 donation has been tagged to spruce up training facilities for the Reaction Institute in the Rio favela known as City of God. Specifically, we're told the money is going to help fix walls and prevent weather damage to judo equipment.

That equipment is used to give children from the favelas judo training, and put them on the road to becoming Olympians -- who might one day whoop-up on American judo fighters. Brazil's judo gold medalist this year, Rafaela Silva, once trained at the Institute ... so it has a good track record.

As we reported, Feigen struck a deal with prosecutors in Rio ... who agreed to let him off the hook, if he made the donation.

Toronto Blue Jays superstar Edwin Encarnacion has been sued by a woman who claims he knowingly gave her multiple STDs during a romantic weekend ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Prince's deadly dose of the powerful painkiller Fentanyl was NOT prescribed by a doctor, which means it's a near impossibility anyone will ever be charged with his murder.

Law enforcement sources confirm investigators have not turned up a prescription for the Fentanyl. The Fentanyl pills found at Paisley Park were in a bottle labeled hydrocodone -- and it's now believed they were illegally obtained.

Our sources tell us whoever gave Prince the drug would face a 3rd degree murder charge under Minnesota law. However, without a prescription, we're told Prince's doctors would be in the clear ... so there'll be no Conrad Murray-esque trial.

Investigators would have to track down the source of the illicit Fentanyl -- it's reportedly an epidemic problem in Minnesota -- for anyone to stand trial for murder.

It's still possible a doctor could get nailed for over-prescribing other opioids. Remember, we broke the story ... Prince nearly OD'd on Percocet 6 days before his death at Paisley Park.

Chris Brown just scored a W in his legal battle with his pissed off neighbors -- who, for some reason, backed down and now the LAPD's dropped its disturbing the peace investigation.

Law enforcement sources tells us Chris won't face any charges for allegedly disturbing the peace back in May ... when he was accused of terrorizing the streets of his neighborhood on an ATV.

You'll recall ... there was even video of a joyride taken by one of his neighbors. We're told the one who ended up calling cops didn't want to cooperate, so LAPD decided to close the case.

You gotta wonder why the neighbors suddenly went soft. One of 'em was on "TMZ Live," and seemed determined to go the distance with Brown. Hmm ...

Whitney Cummings is livid at a neighbor who she claims went all Paul Bunyan in her backyard, and now cops are investigating.

We're told Whitney walked in her backyard this week and was horrified to see a tree massacre, courtesy of her neighbor's gardener.

Seems the neighbor was frustrated that Whitney's wall of bark was blocking his view, and she says he ordered the landscaper to do a hatchet job on her property ... cutting the trees down to stumps.

Whitney called the cops, who came out and took a felony vandalism report ... she claims the damages total around $36k.

Sources tells us the neighbor offered to pay Whitney something, but it's unclear how much.

Mischa Barton's gotta fork over a ton of cash to the screenwriter she left high and dry by blowing off his movie production to go parading all over Europe.

In legal docs obtained by TMZ ... a judge ordered Mischa to pay $200k, plus interest, to screenplay writer Daniel Lief for skipping town just as shooting was set to start for his movie, "Promoted." Mischa had scored the lead role.

As we reported ... producers sued Mischa when they saw pics of her all over social media ... hangin' in Europe with a dude, instead of getting her ass to work. Daniel said the production delay -- he had to recast the lead -- cost more than $300k.

We reached out to Mischa, but no word back yet.

Birdman just got hit hard for stealing loot from some veteran songwriters ... hit hard as in millions of dollars.

Lil Wayne and Cash Money sampled some obscure tracks for the songs, "You" and "Certified." Seems Cash Money shorted the songwriters -- ironically exactly what Wayne claims Birdman did to him in a separate, multi-million dollar lawsuit.

Birdman and Cash Money now have to pay the piper ... to the tune of $3.3 mil.

Mind you, Wayne wants $51 million in his lawsuit against Birdman. But the mogul isn't worried ... we're told he's about to sign a big deal with Apple, so he'll have money to blow.

Master P's got his kids doing the dirty work for him in his divorce case -- penning emotional letters to convince a judge to reduce his monthly support payments to his ex, Sonya Miller.

In new docs, Master P says his 3 minor kids stay with him full time because their mother's drug addiction makes it impossible for her to care for them. That's why he wants to slash the $10,473 in child support and $16,574 in spousal support that he's currently paying.

The kids -- Hercy, Mercy and Itali -- all wrote letters, submitted to the court, testifying they're better off for living with their dad.

17-year-old daughter Itali made the most compelling case ... writing, "Although I love being with my mom I was unable to keep my grades up. Unfortunately, my mom was dealing with addiction issues that affected my older sister, who hasn't even had the opportunity to graduate high school" ... even though she's 19.

Itali says she's trying to avoid the same fate.
