The man who said on video he planned to assassinate Donald Trump at Friday's inauguration once spoke harshly about the 9/11 terrorists ... in no small part because his mom died on one of the planes.

Dominic Puopolo's mom, Sonia, was on American Airlines flight 11 from Boston to L.A. when it was hijacked and flown into the north tower of the World Trade Center.

The family made news back then because Sonia's hand with her wedding ring was found in the rubble.

Then-senator Hillary Clinton eulogized Sonia during her funeral in Boston. Clinton knew Sonia through work at the Red Cross. She was a big Hillary supporter.

After the attacks Dominic flew to Hamburg where he attended the trial of 9/11 mastermind Mounir El Motassadeq.

One of Bella Hadid's fans learned the hard way to give the chick her space.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Bella and Kendall Jenner were heading to Gigi Hadid's pad Wednesday night when a 22-year-old woman ran up to them while waving a flag. You can see she gets a tad aggressive while trying to hand it to Bella. Security swooped in and called police.

NYPD officers cuffed her and took her in for questioning, but we're told she will be released without charges.

For what it's worth ... Bella and Kendall barely seemed phased.

Stevie J either had a big change of heart about suing his baby mama, Joseline Hernandez ... or maybe he's just absentminded about court dates.

Stevie's defamation lawsuit against Joseline was dismissed Wednesday by a Georgia judge, because he was a no-show for a scheduled hearing. You'll recall ... Stevie sued Joseline in October after he says she continued to accuse him of molesting his daughter, which he denied.

At the time she was pregnant with their kid, but since she gave birth he's admitted being gaga over the infant, and attempted to squash all beef with Joseline.

A woman is suing the famous Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas over horrific bites she says she got from a bed bug swarm, and she has creepy crawly video to back it up.

Cindi Avila claims she checked into the hotel back in January 2016 and woke up with bites all over her body ... some of which left her scarred. In docs, Avila says a bed bug infestation erupted in her room, and she's blaming the hotel for failing to change the bed skirt.

Avila says she shot video of the bugs in action when she lifted mattress. She's suing for damages, mental anguish and medical costs.

An Atlantis Resort rep tells us the hotel "immediately took the room out of service, brought in the property’s professional pest company to eradicate the problem" and compensated Avila for her stay.

The rep also says they offered to reimburse her medical bills ... but Avila said no dice.

Turns out Alanis Morissette wasn't the only one with a hand in her pocket -- her former business manager admits to ripping her off for millions, and has now copped a plea with federal prosecutors.

Jonathan Schwartz pled guilty to 2 felonies connected to an embezzlement scheme that fleeced Alanis of $4.8 million. According to the feds ... Schwartz, who has also managed Beyonce and Mariah, admits to jacking the cash from the singer over 4 years. He says he also took about $1.7 mil from other clients.

However, he's not pleading to the embezzlement -- instead the feds got him on wire fraud and filing a false tax return ... for the money he stole. He had been facing up to 23 years in federal lockup, but is now hoping the judge will provide leniency.

Paul McCartney is putting Sony Music on notice ... he's going to reclaim his copyright on a bunch of The Beatles hits in the very near future whether the label likes it or not.

Sony currently holds the copyright on the songs, but in legal docs Sir Paul says they will become his property again in 2018. The tracks -- including "Love Me Do," "All You Need Is Love" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" -- are part of the Sony ATV catalog.

It's the same group of songs Michael Jackson once controlled. His estate sold it to Sony outright last year ... for $750 million.

According to docs, McCartney's tried numerous times to get confirmation Sony will transfer the rights without a fight, but says he kept getting the run around.

Macca says he's being proactive by filing this lawsuit to get a little help from his friends -- in the court -- to declare the songs will be his again by next year.

Future and Ciara are no longer at war over custody of their 2-year-old baby Future ... we've learned the case is officially settled.

Sources close to the exes tell TMZ ... they've agreed to joint custody, however, baby Future will be with Ciara most of the time.

Future is frequently on the road, but when he's back in the ATL he'll have reasonable access to his son.

Our sources say both Future and Ciara want to close this chapter and move on with their lives.

The custody case has been dismissed.

Legal groups offering free representation for inauguration protesters are ready to defend anything ... and believe civil disobedience will fall under that umbrella.

King Downing, Director of Mass Defense for the National Lawyers Guild, says there's a very real possibility for civil disobedience when Donald Trump takes the oath. Downing says there's a growing number of people who feel their voices haven't been heard by the President-elect, and they intend to change that on Friday.

TMZ broke the story ... The Partnership for Civil Justice, the NLG and other orgs have a game plan to hit the streets, monitor police conduct, and provide counsel for protesters who get cuffed.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's vowing to return to "Hamilton" in honor of President Obama commuting the sentence of Oscar Lopez Rivera -- who was convicted for conspiracy against the U.S. government -- and some cops are outraged.

Miranda said he'd be honored to play Alexander Hamilton if Rivera goes to see the play in Chicago after his release in May. Rivera has been serving a 70 year sentence since the '80s for involvement in the FALN -- a Puerto Rican liberation organization that conducted fatal bombings in NYC and an attack on NYPD headquarters.

The argument for Rivera's release has been that he was never convicted of killing anyone, and only for seditious conspiracy, but a high-ranking member of NYPD tells TMZ, "It's a slap in the face of every hard working NYPD officer that the President would commute the sentence of a terrorist, and for [Miranda] to honor a terrorist is appalling."

Miranda, who quit "Hamilton" last summer, is of Puerto Rican descent and tweeted Obama to thank him for shortening Rivera's sentence before leaving the White House.

President Obama just commuted Chelsea Manning's sentence and she will be freed in May ... the White House announced Tuesday.

Chelsea Manning -- a former Army intelligence officer who leaked classified information to WikiLeaks -- was convicted back in 2013, and sentenced to 35 years in prison. Obama's commutation means she'll be out May 17, after just 7 years served.

Manning, a transgender woman, attempted suicide twice while in prison.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said last week he would agree to extradition to the U.S. if Obama released Manning from prison. Assange remains holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

One of the women who accused Donald Trump of sexual assault has finally pulled the trigger on a lawsuit against the President-elect.

Former 'Apprentice' contestant Summer Zervos filed a defamation suit in NYC Tuesday, claiming Trump defamed her when he publicly called her a liar, claimed the assault never happened and referred to her allegation as "totally made up nonsense."

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, she also calls him out as a "sexual predator."

The suit goes on to claim Trump used his platform as a presidential candidate to denigrate and verbally attack Zervos and other accusers.

She's asking for a retraction and/or an apology, plus damages.

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes is being accused of not only making death threats against an ex-buddy, but attempting to curse him ... if you believe in that kinda thing.

Jesse's former friend, Andrew Julian Vega, got a restraining order against the rocker. In the docs, he says Jesse threatened to shoot him and blow his lungs through his back. He also says Jesse glued a voodoo doll on his gate, stabbed it with a knife and wrote in red paint, "Andy is next."

People connected to Jesse and Andrew tell us the bad blood started over a girl ... naturally.

In the docs, Andrew says he's nervous Jesse will hurt him or his young daughter. A judge granted the restraining order ... forcing Jesse to stay 100 yards away from them.

We've reached out to Jesse, so far no word back.

Two Scottish soccer stars -- including a former member of the Scotland national team -- have been branded rapists by a Scottish judge after the victim sued their asses in civil court.

The players -- David Robertson and David Goodwillie -- were accused of raping a drunk woman at an apartment in 2011 after a night of heavy boozing.

The two men were teammates for the Dundee United soccer team and had gone out drinking after a game earlier in the evening. They allegedly took the woman to a nearby flat and had sex with her despite the fact she was too drunk to give consent.

The woman says she doesn't remember anything after leaving the bar ... until she woke up naked in a strange apartment.

Prosecutors had previously investigated the incident but no criminal charges were filed and the victim was reportedly "devastated" ... so she decided to take her case to civil court.

The judge ruled that both men "each raped her" -- and ordered them to pay roughly $124k in damages.

When you go to the "Today" show with a shirt suggesting Bill Clinton did what Donald Trump said he did ... you gotta be ready for someone to kick your ass ... so says NBC.

Mark Gallagher went to 30 Rock before the election and wore a t-shirt with Clinton's face and the word "rape."

He claims he was standing there minding his own business when NBC security -- whom he called a "goon squad" -- descended on him and beat the crap out of him. He has sued NBC for $53 mil.

NBC has now fired off its answer, saying when someone does something as incendiary as Gallagher did, they assume the risk someone will come after them. NBC does not get specific, but the network disputes Gallagher's version of the facts ... presumably what he did before the incident.

And this is the best. NBC says Gallagher had a duty to minimize his damages by getting quick medical help, which he did not do. The legal docs say he could have availed himself of the benefits of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act -- aka Obamacare.

Hollywood star Kristin Chenoweth thinks Joe Mixon has done enough to earn a second chance at life ... saying his NFL future shouldn't be ruined because of his 2014 assault.

George Jung is a lifetime criminal who will never be able to reform, according to his probation officer ... but George's side says otherwise.

George's defense team just filed new docs asking for a very light sentence after his latest bust. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, they take issue with the probation officer's scathing testimony -- that Jung's an alcoholic, habitual liar and "no viable vocational or educational treatment programs" can change him.

But George's lawyer thinks probation is enough for a 74-year-old who's no threat to society -- and Johnny Depp's movie, "Blow" continues to give Jung a bad rap.
