9/24 -- Short appeared in court Friday and the warrant was recalled. He'll have his next hearing for the case in October.
Columbus Short could soon be sporting a pair of handcuffs -- there's a warrant out for the actor's arrest -- TMZ has learned.
The ex-"Scandal" star failed to appear in court as part of his divorce proceedings with Tanee Short Tuesday ... so the judge issued a warrant as it's the second time Columbus has no-showed in as many months.
The point of the hearing was for a judgment debtor exam where the actor was to be grilled about his finances.
CS is no stranger to legal issues ... he was released from jail earlier this year after serving just 34 days of a 1-year sentence for beating his newest wife, Aida, who he got engaged to in 2016.

Kourtney Kardashian's Ex Younes Bendjima Sued ... After Alleged Beatdown on Coachella Security Guard
Kourtney Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Younes Bendjima is being sued after he allegedly attacked a security guard at Coachella who refused to let him enter the restroom with Kourtney.
Mario Herrera says he was working the music festival back in April and stationed at the single-gender male restrooms. According to the docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Herrera says Kourtney attempted to enter the restroom and Herrera told her that was not permitted.
Herrera claims that sent Younes into a rage, causing him to pick Herrera up, slam him against a wall and shout expletives.
The lawsuit claims Herrera's injuries were so bad, he had to be treated at a hospital. He's suing for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. Herrera's lawyer, Jack K. Kechichian, tells TMZ ... "Being a celebrity does not excuse bad conduct. You can't go around hurting people who are just doing their job and that’s all Mr. Herrera was doing, his job."
You'll remember back in March, Younes was caught on surveillance video outside Delilah in West Hollywood attacking a staff member as Drake and Odell Beckham Jr. looked on. A lawsuit has not yet been filed in that case.
As for this lawsuit ... Herrera is asking for no less than $5 million.

Eric Dickerson We Want $300k A Year For HOFers
Eric Dickerson is demanding Hall of Famers get a respectable salary for life ... and now he's revealing exactly what they deserve, telling TMZ Sports they want $300k a year.
Dickerson announced he formed a committee with a group of HOFers -- including Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders and Jim Brown -- and demanded the NFL provide them with access to health care and a yearly salary.
In a letter to the NFL, the HOFers say they'll boycott future ceremonies in Canton if they can't come to a fair agreement.
We talked to Dickerson ... and he told us exactly what the NFL legends are lookin' for -- and it's a lot of green.
"If it was up to me, I think every Hall of Famer would get about $300,000 a year. I think that would be a proper number."
Do the math ... 318 Hall of Famers multiplied by $300k ... that's more than $95 million a year.
Some players have died -- but are represented by their families (like in the case of Reggie White -- whose widow is part of the committee.)
FYI -- the NFL's 2017 revenue was reportedly in excess of $14 BILLION.
But, that ain't all E.D.'s after ... he eventually wants ALL former players -- not just the NFL legends -- to get a 6-figure salary and health care.

Travis Barker Sues Routine Pre-Tour MRI Left Me Unable to Drum
Travis Barker is suing the people he says cost him his ability to play the drums, tour and live a normal life.
You'll remember ... Barker was involved in a nasty car accident back in July when his SUV collided with a school bus. He's also been sidelined from touring with Blink-182 after suffering nerve damage, damage to his veins and a staph infection.
We're told the injuries have been life-changing for Barker, and a lawsuit has become necessary.
In the lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- Barker claims in June he went to The Medical Imaging Center in Santa Monica to receive an MRI as part of his routine checkup for his upcoming tour. Barker was to be sedated before the procedure, but technicians were unable to find a vein, sticking him at least 40x times in the process with a dirty needle and giving him staph. He's suing the medical office.
As for the bus crash ... the driver of the school bus made an illegal left turn and caused the collision. He's suing the driver of the bus and the bus company for the crash.
Travis doesn't specify how much he's asking for in damages, but you can bet it'll be a lot considering he's been unable to drum and has been forced to turn down numerous offers.
Travis' 14-year-old son Landon is also a part of the lawsuit.

The Weeknd & Daft Punk Sued for Stealing 'Starboy'
If The Weeknd's huge hit, "Starboy," had a familiar sound, it's not because Daft Punk produced it ... it's because the song is a rip-off ... or so another artist claims in a lawsuit.
A self-described poet, singer and songwriter named Yasminah is suing The Weeknd and his mega-producers, claiming her song "Hooyo" is the blueprint for "Starboy."
In the lawsuit, she says she co-wrote and released "Hooyo" in 2009. "Starboy" was released in Nov. 2016. According to Yasminah, the similarities are obvious to the ear -- same hook, same key, similar tempo and both songs feature prominent claps on beats 2 and 4. Translation: they both have great rhythm.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, blog posts have been written describing the similarities between the songs ... and there are thousands of comments on those posts agreeing with Yasminah's ear.
Yasminah says 2 of her producers already threatened lawsuits over the song, which never went to court ... they settled -- which kinda makes sense when you listen to both songs. Yasminah says the problem is, she never got a cut of those settlements.
She's now suing Daft Punk and The Weeknd for at least $5 million.

Elon Musk Here's Who I'm Sending To the Moon!!!
Elon Musk introduced the first guy he'll be shooting off into space to orbit the moon -- and it's a VERY rich entrepreneur from Japan who's worth billions.
The SpaceX CEO held a press conference Monday where he announced Yusaku Maezawa as the first private citizen the company would be sending around the moon in their new BFR spacecraft. The guy has a lot of titles -- art curator, fashionista, founder of a juggernaut online retailer, and now ... casual astronaut!
He's worth a reported $3 billion, but Elon wouldn't disclose how much Yusaku threw down to get up. They say Yusaku should be in zero gravity by 2023, giving him plenty of time to get up to speed on how to survive in space.
Before the presser, Elon shared some photos of what the Big Falcon Rocket would look like. SpaceX touted it as "the most powerful rocket in history, capable of carrying humans to the Moon, Mars, and beyond."
See ya up there, Mr. Maezawa!

Le'Veon Bell Hits the Jet Skis In Miami ... Pay Me Already!
Le'Veon Bell is stayin' afloat during his holdout -- zippin' around Miami on a jet ski ... and TMZ Sports has the video.
Bell was chillin' on a yacht on Monday -- living it up -- when he decided to take one of the jet skis out for a spin.
Another rider in the area started chattin' Bell up -- and the running back agreed to make a short video with the guy.
"You already know what it is man, we out here coolin' on the jet skis," Bell said.
At one point, the other jet skier says, "Give my man his f**kin money" -- to which Bell smiles and replies, "You already know! You already know!"
Interesting to see Bell so happy considering his Steelers lost on Sunday, leaving them winless with an 0-1-1 record after 2 games.
Of course, Bell is pissed the Steelers won't pony up and give him a fat longterm contract -- and refuses to show up to practice until they do.
In meantime, at least he's wearing his life jacket!

Amber Rose I Think I Know Who Took My Ring ...
Amber Rose seems to have a hunch about who might've stolen her engagement ring from Wiz Khalifa, but stops short of naming anyone in particular for one very good reason.
We got Amber Monday heading into LAX and asked if there were any suspects yet in the case of her missing engagement ring. As we first told you, she filed a police report late last week. It doesn't sound like cops have zeroed in on a perp yet, but Amber says she's on the case.
She hints she's already got a short list of suspects -- but says she's still gathering proof.
It also seems like whoever did it might've been close to Amber, 'cause she says this wasn't a security issue. We know she's already addressed that.
BTW, Amber's got a message for the person or people who have the $150k ring. And, it's pretty damn simple ...

Elon Musk That 'Pedo' Crack is Gonna Cost You ... Cave Rescuer Sues
Elon Musk crossed the line when he called a British diver involved in the Thailand cave rescue a "pedo" ... at least according to the diver, who's now suing the billionaire.
Vernon Unsworth says he was the first foreign diver to arrive in Thailand to help rescue the 12 boys trapped in the cave with their soccer coach. You'll recall Unsworth was critical of Elon's efforts to build a mini-submarine to help with the rescue. Unsworth told CNN, Elon's sub was a "PR stunt" that "had absolutely no chance of working."
He added Musk "can stick his submarine where it hurts."
Musk fired back at Unsworth on Twitter, saying, "Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it." If you didn't know, Pedo is shorthand for pedophile.
Musk eventually apologized, saying he had reacted in anger. However, Unsworth took note a month later when Musk tweeted, "You don't think it's strange he hasn't sued me?"
Well, here ya go, Elon. Unsworth is suing Elon for defamation, and an undisclosed amount of damages ... i.e. money.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Unsworth denies the "pedo" allegation -- saying he's "not married to a 12-year-old child" ... nor is he a child rapist or child sex trafficker.

Jared Leto Beef with 8-Figure Model Salaries
Jared Leto is calling attention to the insane amounts of money a select group of fashion models pull in, and it must be very upsetting to him ... 'cause he won't let it go.
We got Jared Sunday at LAX still rocking this pink hoodie sweatshirt. On the back, it lists the salaries of the highest-paid models -- from Kendall Jenner's $22 million down to Gigi Hadid with $9.5 mil. He was first spotted wearing it around L.A. last week, and at LAX we asked what message he's trying to make.
The Oscar winner obviously has some kinda issue with the money the models are making ... especially because he keeps wearing the hoodie.
The sweatshirt references Forbes' list of the 10 highest-earning models from June 2016 to June 2017.
Only the Top 5 cracked Jared's sweatshirt.
-- Kendall Jenner, $22 million
-- Gisele Bundchen, $17.5 million
-- Chrissy Teigen, $13.5 million
-- Adriana Lima, $10.5 million
-- Gigi Hadid, $9.5 million.
Most models don't come close to these salaries. So, maybe his issue is with the 1 percenters of the industry?
BTW, Jared reportedly earned $7 million for his role in "Suicide Squad" -- just in case Kendall's out shopping for a hoodie of her own.

Carl Lewis Shades Usain Bolt You Gotta Beat My Paper!
Carl Lewis tells TMZ Sports now that he and Usain Bolt are retired ... it's all about chasing a different kind of gold -- saying Bolt's gotta catch him in dimes, not times now.
"We're both retired, man," Carl told us when we asked who'd win in Bolt-Lewis race these days. "He's gotta beat my paper."
ICYMI ... Carl's been very critical of Bolt over the years, accusing him of using PEDs and saying the Jamaican sprinter didn't do enough to grow the sport of track.
Now, it appears Lewis is saying Bolt's gotta make some better investments in retirement too ... 'cause apparently Carl's way ahead of him there.
Big bummer for everyone ... 'cause 401ks ain't nearly as fun as 100 meters.
By the way ... Carl also tells us who he thinks is the new fastest man in the world -- saying an American is finally on top of the heap with Bolt outta the game.
