Diane Warren Sued You Stole 'Look Away' from Me ... I Need $20 Million!!!

Published | Updated

Songwriting legend Diane Warren might wanna look away from this one ... some guy claims she stole one of her biggest hit songs from him -- 31 years ago -- and now he wants 8 figures.

The lawsuit was filed by Brendan Greaves, who says he was 14 years old back in 1987 when he wrote a tune called "Look Away." If you're not up on your '80s rock ballads ... the band Chicago had a #1 hit by the same name back in 1988. Diane wrote the song.

According to docs, obtained by TMZ, Greaves says Diane copyrighted her tune 8 months after he submitted his "Look Away" to the National Schools Make Music Competition in England, where he lived, and which was sponsored by a division of EMI Records.

In the suit, Greaves says he thinks EMI gave Diane access to his song. He points out the eerie similarity in lyrics. For example, his says ... "If you see me walking by with a tear in my eye, look away, baby look away."

Diane's says ... "If you see me walking by and the tears are in my eyes, look away, baby, look away."

Ok, so why in the world did it take him 30 years to discover this? Greaves says he lives in a quiet village in the UK, and was "blissfully unaware" of the Chicago smash hit.

We question the use of the word, "blissfully" ... the song kinda rocks. In an '80s soft rock kinda way.

Greaves says Diane owes him more than $20 mil for ripping him off.

Tyrese Sued by Amex You Owe Us $61k!!!

Published | Updated

Tyrese just got slapped with a lawsuit for owing a ton of cash to American Express.

American Express sued the singer and, according to the docs obtained by TMZ, he owes an unpaid balance of $61,071.35.

TMZ broke the story ... Tyrese said he was having huge money problems back in November stemming from his ongoing feud with his ex-wife, Norma Gibson. Tyrese had filed docs claiming he pulls in $105,686 per month, but has monthly expenses of $107,576.

According to docs he filed at the time, Tyrese said he had nearly $900k in the bank and had real property worth close to $2 million.

Of course, Tyrese bought a new $4 million home in Atlanta last year ... so we're pretty sure he can swing the $61k.

Wiz Khalifa It's All Love with Ye 2016 Twitter Beef Squashed

Published | Updated

Wiz Khalifa has accepted Kanye West's olive branch, saying he'd be willing to give the dude some of the weed that started their feud more than 2 years ago.

We got Wiz Monday night leaving Poppy in WeHo, where we asked if he'd heard Kanye shouting him out on his new track, "Yikes." Wiz says he loved the hypothetical peace-pipe moment Yeezy rapped about and would even be down to share some Khalifa Kush, his personal strain.

In case you missed it ... Kanye lashed out at Wiz in 2016 over what he perceived to be a shot at his wife, Kim. In response, he said Wiz had gotten trapped by a stripper by having a kid with Amber Rose. He later apologized for the misunderstanding.

That's all in the past now, though. Wiz appears to be completely over the spat, and liked the "Yikes" line too. Something must be in the air with all this beef squashing going on.

Liziane Gutierrez Botched Lipo's Got Me Thinking ... I Need Professional Help!!!

Published | Updated

Liziane Gutierrez is finally coming to terms that getting liposuction in Turkey was an insane idea ... which is why she says she's gonna talk to a psychiatrist about what caused her to do it.

We got the model at LAX on Monday to talk about clinging to life last month ... after a botched lipo procedure landed her in a medically-induced coma for days. As we first reported ... Liziane -- the woman who accused Chris Brown of punching her in a Vegas hotel -- flew to Istanbul to have a gastric balloon inserted into her stomach.

But, doctors told her the procedure would be too risky ... so Liziane opted for liposuction. Bad idea, she now says. And you can bet your ass she's gonna think twice before doing anything like that ever again.

Courtney Love Sued She Stalked, Threatened Me ... Says Isaiah Silva's Baby Mama

Published | Updated

Courtney Love and Sam Lutfi's campaign of terrorizing Frances Bean Cobain's ex-husband extended to an innocent woman caught in the crossfire ... according to the lawsuit the woman just filed.

Jessica Sullivan has a kid with Isaiah Silva, Frances' ex-husband ... and, in fact, lived in the same house with Frances and Isaiah in December 2014. Once things went south between Frances and Isaiah ... Jessica claims Courtney and her manager, Lutfi, started harassing and stalking her, too.

In the docs, Jessica says they initially tried to bribe her to take Frances' side in the nasty divorce battle ... and when that didn't work they resorted to threats. Jessica says in June 2016, Lutfi called her and said, "I'll put you in the street you f**king c**t. You d**e, f**king bitch, whore."

She also claims Lutfi told her, "Your kid will be in an orphanage."

According to the docs, Courtney and Sam tried to drive a wedge between her and Isaiah, and even dragged her dog into the feud. Jessica claims they put her phone number in the free section of Craigslist to advertise her daughter's puppy. As you'd imagine, Jessica says she got flooded with calls about a free puppy.

We broke the story ... Isaiah just filed a very similar suit, accusing Sam, Courtney and others of plotting to murder him in order to regain possession of Kurt Cobain's famous guitar.

Jessica is suing Love and Lutfi for stalking and emotional distress.

Lil Scrappy Hospitalized After Nasty Car Wreck ... Found Disoriented, Injured

Published | Updated

Lil Scrappy was hospitalized this weekend after being found nearly unconscious and seriously jacked up following a horrific car accident he was involved in ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the 'Love & Hip Hop' star tell us Scrappy was cruising along early Sunday morning with a friend as they were leaving the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami. We're told Scrappy believes his buddy fell asleep at the wheel, however cops list Scrappy as the driver in the crash. Either way ... they slammed into a pole, totaling the car.

According to the traffic crash report -- obtained by TMZ -- Scrappy and his pal, Ca$ino Roulette, were found outside of the car and on the ground when authorities arrived. Neither could coherently explain what had happened. The report also notes there were no witnesses ... and no citations issued. Cops say the car was probably driving too fast for the conditions.

Scrappy eventually came to at a hospital, but sources say he doesn't remember who found him or how he got there. We're told he is seriously injured, with a broken foot that needs to be operated on. We're told his friend, Ca$ino, is in ICU ... Scrappy is not.

Scrappy's famous mother, Momma Dee, and his wife, Bambi, are currently at his bedside as he recovers.

After the accident, Scrappy took to social media, saying, "@casinoroulette in here hurt too we f***ed up but God saved our lives #Godisgreat #Mercy #Grace."

J Prince Drake Would've Ended Kanye With Next Pusha T Diss Track

Published | Updated
J Prince
IT COULDA BEEN BAD

Kanye West should consider himself lucky Drake isn't firing back at Pusha T, 'cause the track he recorded would've blown up Ye's career ... according to James Prince.

The Rap-A-Lot Records CEO tells us Drake was, in fact, ready to respond to Pusha's "The Story of Adidon" before J Prince stepped in and told him to stand down. According to Prince, what Drake had "cocked and loaded" would've "ended" Kanye, and caused a lot of pain. He insists they're not in the business of destroying families ... which is why he told Drizzy to stand down.

J Prince also doubled down on not resorting to a "pig pen mentality," which he clearly believes Pusha did by attacking Drake's mom, dad, and terminally ill producer. He doesn't consider this an L for Drake either -- despite what fans might be saying.

Of course, Pusha might look at it as a W -- he was hailed as a hero during Kanye's album listening party last week. Shortly after that, Kanye himself said the feud was "dead."

Hard to say if Ye was getting ahead of a potential situation, but that's all moot now ... 'cause the beef is officially squashed. BTW, Prince's book, 'The Art and Science of Respect,' is out now and he talks about some other famous rap beefs, which didn't end well.

Rebecca Black Red-Hot Mamacita

Published | Updated

Yep ... that's YouTube star Rebecca Black, best known for her 2011 earworm, "Friday" ... and we have a feeling these photos will be just as catchy for her fans.

Rebecca hit the pool at the Dream Hollywood hotel over the weekend. Apparently, she doesn't ONLY get down on Fridays. She's looking a helluva lot more grown up than the teenager most remember singing that annoying (we say that lovingly) one-off hit.

The now 20-year-old might not be making viral hits anymore, but it's hard to argue she's not getting better with age.

Trey Songz Sued by Cop Over Assault

Published | Updated

Trey Songz is being sued by a Detroit cop who says the rapper punched him in the face with a closed fist.

Sgt. Robert Avery says on December 28, 2016, he was working crowd control at Trey's concert at the Joe Louis Arena. During the performance, Trey said, "if a n**** cut me off I'm goin' the f*** crazy."

The reference was to the fact the venue turned off the stage lighting because the concert had run too long.

Trey ended up hurling heavy equipment off the stage and then jumped off the stage himself, picked up a mic stand, threw it and hit a photographer ... who's also suing.

FIT OF RAGE

Sgt. Avery arrested Trey, tried to take him into custody when he says Trey fought him and struck him in the face. The officer fell to the ground and hit his head on the concrete. He allegedly suffered visible bruising and swelling to his right temple, as well as a contusion to his left forehead ... he also hurt his hip.

The cop says Trey hurled hateful comments, including, "F*** you cracker. White motherf******. F*** all you honkeys and f*** the police."

Trey was arrested and charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer as well as aggravated assault. He pled guilty to 2 counts of disturbing the peace.

As for his middle finger mug shot, the docs say Songz refused to cooperate during the booking process.

Meek Mill Judge Brinkley Traumatized by Maid ... Get Her Off My Case!!!

Published | Updated

Meek Mill's not giving up on trying to get the judge he believes has it out for him off his case, and he thinks her claims of "intense trauma" from her past are a good reason ... according to new legal docs.

Meek's lawyers presented a new argument to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, claiming Judge Genece Brinkley's 2014 lawsuit against a hotel for monetary damages is more proof she's unfit to reside over the rapper's criminal case.

According to the docs ... Brinkley claims she was "traumatized" when she allegedly found a housekeeper's nametag in her bed at a hotel during a judicial conference. Though it subsided, Brinkley claimed the trauma returned a year later at the time of the next conference ... causing her to file suit.

This comes on the heels of another civil lawsuit filed by Brinkley -- also presented by Meek's legal team to the court -- in which she allegedly claimed she'd suffered a head injury from a 2016 car accident that left her with "severe head trauma" and "neurological" injuries.

As we reported ... a state court judge denied Meek's bid to get Brinkley removed from his pending case, despite the new info about her head injury.

Now it's up to the state Supreme Court to make the call after considering the new info from Meek's team.

9:00 AM PT -- Meek's attorney, Joe Tacopina, tells us, “Judge Brinkley's conduct since the time of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to Meek -- including inappropriately commenting on his case through her lawyer, treating him differently than the thousands of other uncontested PCRAs and stating under oath that she has in the past and may in the future be disabled from performing her job -- necessitates her immediate removal from this case."

The Jonas Brothers Burnin' Up Cameras In Sydney

Published | Updated

The Jonas Brothers called it quits in 2013, but over the weekend in Australia the trio looked one step closer to a reunion as they were caught filming something.

Naturally, the pictures are leading folks to think Kevin, Joe and Nick are one step closer to dropping some new music or hitting the road again, and there are other signs pointing in that direction. For example, earlier this year they rebooted their Instagram handle.

But, before any Jonas fans get too excited, there's also this to consider ... the filming took place in Sydney where the Australian version of "The Voice" tapes and Joe's a judge on the show, so it's also possible he wrangled in his brothers to help him out there.

Might be too early to call it a comeback.

Drake's Alleged Ghostwriter Dodges Questions He Writes for Drizzy

Published | Updated

Drake's alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, was all smiles in the middle of Drake and Pusha T's war ... skirting questions he's the pen behind Drizzy's tracks.

We got Quentin at Aisle 5 in Atlanta on Thursday night and asked about collabing with Drake. ICYMI ... Pusha's other diss track, "Infrared," embraced the long-held view Drake doesn't write his songs, saying, "It was written like Nas but it came from Quentin."

You'll recall ... Meek Mill said as much in 2015 when he tweeted, "He don't write his own raps." Quentin was later ID'd as the alleged ghostwriter but he vehemently denied it.

Drizzy then released 2 diss tracks, including "Back to Back" in which Drake addresses the ghostwriting allegation saying, "This for y'all that think that I don't write enough. They just mad 'cause I got the Midas touch."

Quentin's not as forceful this time around.

Survivor Band Founder Sues Ex-Bandmate ... Stop Standing On Our Shoulders!!!

Published | Updated

Survivor founder Frank Sullivan is pissed one of his ex-bandmates is using the band's name and logo to promote his solo career ... even though he left the group THIRTY. FOUR. YEARS. AGO.

Sullivan -- who started the band in '77 and exploded to fame with "Eye of the Tiger" -- is suing Dave Bickler, claiming the OG member agreed to leave the band in '84 and signed a contract giving up his right to use the band logo.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Sullivan says Bickler to this day continues to promote his solo career by using the band's logo, which Sullivan says is plastered all over Bickler's website "implying current affiliation" with the band.

Sullivan also claims Bickler slaps the logo on promotional flyers. Even his Instagram handle makes a reference to Survivor. Sullivan's suing to get Bickler to drop the act and for damages.

We reached out to Bickler ... his attorney tells us this suit "is frivolous and simply a mean-spirited attempt to harass Dave for the success he is enjoying on his own." We're told Bickler has no need to imply he's still with Survivor, but sometimes the band shows photos of him in their promos ... "which would seem to undermine the premise of their lawsuit."

Bickler was the lead singer for "Eye of the Tiger" ... and his lawyer says this suit can't change that.

J Prince to Drake Stand Down on Pusha T ... 'Can't Get in the Pig Pen'

Published | Updated

James Prince says Drake will not be responding to Pusha T's vicious diss track under his orders ... because going that low is beneath the young MC.

The Rap-A-Lot Records CEO spoke with radio personalities Fadam Got da Juice and DJ Reddz of DTLR Radio Saturday, and told them he issued the directive to Drake that AM -- stand down, and don't respond to "The Story of Adidon," as many anticipated he would.

He goes on to say that what Push engaged in was equivalent to a "pig pen mentality" and incredibly disrespectful for going after going after Drake's mom, dad, and his OVO producer with MS, Noah '40' Shebib. J Prince doesn't directly address Drake's alleged son with porn star Sophie Brussaux ... but you gotta imagine he means that, too. Speaking of taking the high road, Prince was on air promoting his new book, "The Art and Science of Respect."

Here's another thing ... sources connected to Drake tell us he had already recorded a diss track responding to Push's 'Adidon,' prior to James' phone call Saturday morning.

Seems J Prince doesn't want Drake to stoop to Push's level and screw with his mainstream rep ... and, presumably, his mainstream money.

Waiting for your permission to load Soundcloud audio.

Rich the Kid Runs for Cover After Uzi Confronts Him at Starbucks

Published | Updated

Another problem at Starbucks ... but this time it ain't the coffee company's fault, because Lil Uzi Vert chased his enemy Rich the Kid right over the counter.

It started on the streets of Philly -- Uzi's hometown. Rich was in town to perform at the Roots Picnic Festival, where Uzi was slated to perform as well.

Check out the video .. Uzi confronts Rich, who then scampers away. But it doesn't end there. There was a full-on melee at a nearby Starbucks.

The feud was triggered 3 years ago, when Uzi signed with DJ Drama's Imprint. It didn't sit well with Rich, who wanted Uzi to sign with him.

As for the music festival ... Uzi and Rich both performed. In fact, Rich wore the same gear he was wearing during the Starbucks confrontation.
