Harvey Weinstein I Encouraged Georgina to Leave ... But I'm Not Giving Up

Published | Updated

Harvey Weinstein knew his wife of 10 years, Georgina Chapman, was going to leave him because they had a heart-to-heart about breaking up in the days after his scandal broke.

Weinstein says, "Over the last week, there has been a lot of pain for my family that I take responsibility for. I sat down with my wife Georgina, who I love more than anything, and we discussed what was best for our family. We discussed the possibility of a separation and I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. In the end, she made the decision to separate."

As his sexual harassment scandal grows, Weinstein somehow sounds optimistic he'll be able to patch things up with Georgina ... saying, "I understand, I love her and I love our children and hopefully, when I am better, I will be in their lives again. I support her decision, I am in counseling and perhaps, when I am better, we can rebuild.”

High hopes.

Mark Zuckerberg Sorry About Our Awesome VR Demo in Flooded Puerto Rico!!!

Published | Updated

Mark Zuckerberg admits using hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico as the backdrop to roll out Facebook's new 360-degree virtual reality technology ... was a super tone-deaf idea. No duh.

Zuckerberg issued an apology for the demonstration he and other FB staffers pulled off on Tuesday. The technology is, no doubt, cool -- using VR to drop your friends into your home, your vacation ... or maybe even your decimated homeland ... in the case of millions of Puerto Ricans.

The video is stunning -- make sure you wait for the high-five between Mark and his social media honcho, Rachel.

Tone-deaf is a HUGE understatement.

Keyshia Cole Chewed Out By Cop ... Claims She Talked S*** on Him

Published | Updated

Keyshia Cole got an earful from a cop who claimed she was making disparaging comments about him while he was just doing his job.

The singer was leaving TAO in WeHo Tuesday night and all seemed fine and dandy because she had already hopped in her Rolls-Royce ... ready to bounce.

Her whip was blocking traffic and the motorcycle cop laid on his horn to get Keyshia's driver to get to steppin'. Then, another problem -- someone in the car called him a name.

Check it out ... the cop confronts Keyshia, who denies she said anything, but doesn't deny something was said.

Seth McFarlane Joked What Everyone Knew Weinstein Made Moves on Actresses

Published | Updated

Seth McFarlane cracked a joke during the 2013 Oscar Nominations about Harvey Weinstein and his apparent insatiable appetite for actresses ... and it seemed the audience was in on it.

Seth was presenting the nominations for Best Supporting Actress, and suggested the nominees were powerful enough to rebuff Weinstein's advances.

Check out the clip. The audience was super uncomfortable.

And Tina Fey wrote a joke on "30 Rock" for Jane Krakowski's character, who quipped, "I'm not afraid of anyone in show business. I turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than 3 occasions ... out of 5."

Again, everyone knew what was up years ago.

Common Jerry Jones Has 'Slave Owner Mentality' ... with Benching Threat

Published | Updated

Common believes Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is exhibiting a "slave owner mentality" by saying he'd bench any player who "disrespects the flag" ... making HIM the unpatriotic one.

"It’s an owner mentality," Common tells TMZ Sports ... "like a slave owner mentality, to be honest. Like, 'You gonna do what I say on this.'"

"Other people choosing to put their hands over their heart. What makes that gesture better than somebody else who might be praying during the national anthem?"

"Or if somebody says, 'I'm kneeling for what I believe in,' ... then they should be able to do that because that's what this country is about."

Harvey Weinstein Save My Ass! Begged Execs for Support

Published | Updated

Harvey Weinstein made a failed attempt to save his job in the 11th hour, firing off an email to other studio execs and asking them to back him in his time of need.

Weinstein's email said, "My board is thinking of firing me. All I'm asking, is let me take a leave of absence and get into heavy therapy and counseling." He added ... "A lot of the allegations are false as you know but given therapy and counseling as other have done, I think I'd be able to get there."

As we reported, The Weinstein Co. fired its head honcho Sunday after the New York Times story alleging he'd sexually harassed employees, actresses and others for decades. It seems the letters of support were never sent, or simply weren't persuasive enough.

The Hollywood Reporter says Ron Meyer and Jeffery Katzenberg were among the recipients of the email.

Weinstein laid it on thick though ... "I am desperate for your help. Just give me the time to have therapy. Do not let me be fired."

NeNe Leakes Apologizes for Rape Comment ... 'I Regret the Words I Used'

Published | Updated

NeNe Leakes is making a full mea culpa for wishing rape upon another woman.

NeNe posted her apology on Facebook Monday, saying ... "I truly regret and apologize for what I said from the stage in Oakland over the weekend. Sometimes words can cut deep and hurt when you have no intentions of them doing so."

As we reported ... NeNe was getting booed onstage during a stand-up set in Oakland Saturday night when she told one of the hecklers in the crowd she hoped her Uber driver raped her on the way home.

The 'Real Housewives' star went on to explain in her post that she herself has been a victim of abuse, and she should've known better.

One apology down ... one more to go?

Kylie Jenner Drops Hint That She's Having a Boy ... Too Bad She Ain't

Published | Updated

Kylie Jenner clearly wants people to think she's having a baby boy -- which is cute and all ... but it just ain't true.

Kylie tried throwing her followers off the scent on Snapchat Monday by posting a pic of some of her lip kit products -- 2 of which were draped in pink, the other in blue -- with a caption that read ... "Which one? I'm thinking blue ..." tagged with a blue heart at the end.

We presume the post is aimed at her recent baby news -- but it's unfortunately nothing but a red herring. TMZ broke the stories ... Kylie's pregnant with Travis Scott's baby ... and they're having a girl -- just like her big sis Kim is.

Also ... notice that the blue product is flanked by pink on both sides. In other words, read around the lines for this one.

GET WITH THE TIMES

Chris Hardwick ripped Harvey Weinstein for his lame I-grew-up-in-the-'60s excuse ... but not before offering advice to young actresses on how to avoid creeps like him.

We got Chris at LAX and asked him about the studio exec getting fired from the company he founded for rampant sexual harassment allegations over a 3-decade period that, among others, included Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan.

Chris got serious for a minute and offered advice for Hollywood on how to legitimately conduct business. He then went off on Weinstein for his -- shall we say -- "Mad Men" mentality.

SQUARING UP

Oakland Raiders lineman Donald Penn went off on a Raiders fan outside the stadium in Oakland on Sunday -- screaming at the guy, "I do block, bitch" ... and even dropping an n-bomb.

It all went down after the Raiders lost to the Ravens -- Penn gets out of his car and says to a man wearing a Raiders shirt, "All that f**king talk, you ain't gonna do shit n***a."

He went on, "I do block, bitch. Be a f**king fan."

Penn then grabbed a security guard and told him to tend to the fans.

After the incident, Penn went to Twitter and wrote, "He threw a bottle at my car but I should of stayed in the car."

He added, "He was tryna get me to react so he could sue me glad I took a sec 2 think."

Colin Kaepernick Willing to Stand for Nat'l Anthem? ... Uh, Not So Fast

Published | Updated

1:00 PM PT -- Colin just tweeted about the misinformation over him being willing to stand for the national anthem with a quote from Winston Churchill. His girlfriend, Nessa, also tweeted an outright denial of the news.

11:48 PM PT -- Jason La Canfora is now saying reports about Colin standing for the anthem are NOT true ... adding he and the ex-QB only talked about wanting to play again. Multiple media outlets cited CBS and La Canfora for the original news ... but that story about Colin being willing to stand has now been removed from CBS' site. It appears Jason was only relaying earlier reporting about Colin standing in the future.

Colin Kaepernick is apparently over his National Anthem protest ... just as long as it means he can play professional football again.

Kaepernick reportedly told reporter Jason La Canfora that he would indeed stand for the National Anthem if he was signed to an NFL team this year.

La Canfora said Sunday that he'd sat down with Kaep and his GF Saturday night, and explained that Colin's primary goal right now is to be a pro QB ... as he's been living in NYC and training privately in Jersey.

La Canfora also says Colin spends a fair amount of time working with youth in Harlem ... as we've recently seen.

Still ... the alleged statement on standing is shocking if true -- especially in light of the recent national debate that President Trump himself has weighed in on and gotten tremendous backlash from the NFL.

Gotta wonder if this will change any NFL owners' minds about Kaep.

O.J. Simpson Waiting for Taco Takeout I'll Take a Bloody Ma ... D'OH!

Published | Updated

O.J. Simpson wasted no time quenching his thirst for blood ... but he watered it down with vodka.

Simpson was spotted grabbing takeout Saturday at Las Vegas' Wahoos Fish Taco restaurant around 4 PM, where patrons tell us during the wait he ordered himself a Bloody Mary.

Everyone in the restaurant stared, but no one asked for pics or a John Hancock.

The restaurant wouldn't say what was in the bag ... customer/restaurant privilege.

He'd be wise to stay away from the blood stuff this time of year. Or always ... either way.

Dana White Jason Aldean Scorned Shooting Survivors at UFC 216 ... For 'SNL'

Published | Updated

Dana White is FURIOUS with Jason Aldean -- telling TMZ Sports the country singer's team lied to him about why he couldn't perform in front of Vegas shooting survivors and 1st responders at UFC 216.

White says he had reached out to Aldean's camp to sing the national anthem at UFC 216 in Vegas on Saturday night ... an event in which 15 survivors and hundreds of 1st responders were in the crowd.

White says Aldean's people turned down the offer -- saying he was shaken up from the shooting and might never perform live again.

White says he stressed that the survivors who would be attending UFC 216 were shot while watching Aldean perform and it would mean a lot to them ... and the city of Las Vegas. Still, he declined.

Instead, Aldean flew to NYC and performed on "Saturday Night Live" at the same time as UFC 216. Needless to say, White is pissed.

"His image was more important than coming back to Vegas and playing for the people who are his fans and who got shot watching him play," White says.

"F*ck you, Jason Aldean. Stay out of Vegas."

White says he also reached out to several country music stars -- telling us, "Country music was attacked. Those were country music fans."

White says every single country act turned him down.

"Those are people who buy your albums and none of you country music people could sing the anthem in front of survivors and 1st responders?"

White offered a ton of praise to Everlast -- who stepped in and performed instead.

"This isn't about money. This is about the badass people who fought through this sh*t that this coward (shooter) did."

'American Horror Story' Mass Shooting Scene Set to Air Tuesday

Published | Updated

The folks at "American Horror Story" have a big decision on their hands ... do they air a crowd-ambush scene reminiscent of Sunday night's Vegas massacre, or do they scrub it from Tuesday's episode?

The scene was shot in the O.C. last month ... long before bullets rained down on thousands of people enjoying the Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Vegas strip.

The scene is a political rally where Evan Peters' character is giving a campaign speech when the character played by Sarah Paulson begins firing. It appears Evan's character gets hit, as do people in the crowd.

You hear around 10 shots in the 2 1/2 minute scene ... we've posted just a portion of the scene.

We reached out to 'AHS' to find out if they're going to pivot in the wake of the Vegas violence, but they had no comment.

El Presidente Te Amamos Puerrrto Rico!! (Like, Mucho Mucho)

Published | Updated

Not sure if President Trump made things better or worse in the Puerto Rico department after an awkward/offensive attempt at a Spanish accent.

The Prez and Melania attended a White House ceremony Friday in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, and he decided to unveil an overemphasized accent to say Puerto Rico.

Considering what happened just a few days ago when he was on the hurricane-ravaged island ... ya gotta question the judgment in doing this. Although the crowd at the White House didn't seem to mind.

Yeah ... definitely made it worse.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
