MMA legend Gina Carano is firing back at Daniel Cormier after D.C. went on TV and blasted her for giving career advice to Ronda Rousey ... saying the UFC star should be "ashamed."

It all started when Carano -- an MMA superstar who quit fighting to become a movie actress -- was asked about Ronda's career during an interview to Fight Hub TV.

"I think Ronda should do whatever she wants to do. She’s only 29,” Carano said ... "She’s an amazing athlete but she needs to express herself as an artist, too."

Cormier took exception and blasted Carano on FS1's "UFC Tonight" -- saying, "Gina Carano. Who are you to tell Ronda Rousey what to do?"

He continued, "If I’ve got to look back on your career and you choosing to act over fighting and continuing to fight, I don’t feel as though, guys -- and you can disagree if you want -- that the career has not been what it would have been if she stayed fighting."

He proceeded to take shots at Carano's role in the movie, "Haywire" -- where her voice was altered in post-production.

Now, Carano is lashing back at Cormier ... saying, "If you knew me and what I've been through to get to where I am. I genuinely think you'd be ashamed of your words. All the best."

Boom.

By the way, Carano's career is nothing to scoff at -- she's had roles in "Deadpool," "Fast & Furious 6" and the upcoming 'Kickboxer' flick.

Ron Artest III just totally DUNKED on his dad, Metta World Peace ... saying it doesn't bother him if Metta roots for his competition, because he roots for his dad's old rival ... LEBRON JAMES.

Ron III just got the biggest win of his high school basketball career when his Beverly Hills High team beat Crossroads, a squad led by prep phenom Shareef O'Neal.

We brought it up to Ron III when he joined the guys on the "TMZ Sports" TV show Thursday, and his response to his pops couldn't have been more priceless, or more savage.

Rajon Rondo is firing back at Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade over their post-game comments after Wednesday night's loss ... saying their lack of leadership is the reason why the Bulls are losing.

Wade and Butler voiced their frustration to reporters after losing to the Hawks ... calling out the younger players for not caring enough.

Rondo wasn't specifically mentioned ... but clearly took exception, firing back on Instagram by trashing Jimmy & Dwyane as bad leaders when compared to his old Celtics teammates Ray Allen, Paul Pierce & Kevin Garnett.

"My vets would never go to the media. They would come to the team. My vets didn't pick and choose when they wanted to bring it."

"It takes 1-15 to win. When you isolate everyone, you can't win consistently. I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a bad teammate."

"The young guys work. They show up. They don't deserve blame. If anything is questionable, it's the leadership."

Paula Patton has sworn to a judge Robin Thicke beat her during their marriage.

According to Paula's declaration filed in support of her domestic violence restraining order in May 2013 at the Cannes Film Festival ... she and Robin got into a fight and Robin hit her with a closed fist to her upper body and then pushed her onto the ground.

She claims he threatened multiple times to "bash my f***ing head in."

Paula gets personal, saying the straw that broke the camel's back in their marriage happened back in February 2013, when she was filming "Warcraft." Robin and Julian came to stay with her and she says Robin was supposed to take care of the boy, but early in the morning, he began screaming in front of them that he wanted to "f***ing sleep ... Who do you f***ing think you are not letting me sleep!"

She also claims Robin had a serious cocaine problem.

She makes cheating allegations in her docs, saying Robin called her while he was on tour in 2013 and she heard him having sex with another woman.

A source close to Robin scoffs at Paula's allegations, telling TMZ, "If these multi-year-old allegations were true, why is she only raising them now in the midst of a custody dispute where she's the only one violating the judge by denying Robin access to the boy?"

Paula makes various allegations involving Julian, saying among other things she began noticing behavior changes last November. She describes an incident where Julian asked Robin for a hug before bed and instead she says Robin came back to his room and spanked him.

TMZ broke the story ... a judge issued the restraining order, prohibiting Robin from coming near Paula, their son or her mom ... at least for the time being. Robin asked for an order giving him sole physical and legal custody but the judge shut him down.

Robin's lawyer claims the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services is about to close its child abuse investigation against Robin, concluding the charges are "unfounded" ... this according to Robin's lawyer. The lawyer also says DCFS is investigating Paula for emotional abuse.

Joanna Krupa has to hand over medical records that could prove whether her vagina is "smelly" ... as Brandi Glanville has alleged.

A judge signed the order in Joanna's defamation case against Brandi, which says she has to release her gynecological records from 2000 to 2005. According to the docs, Joanna also has to produce any correspondence with Lisa Vanderpump, Mohamed Hadid and Andy Cohen that relates to the case.

Apparently, her vagina's been a hot topic among 'Housewives' stars.

You'll recall, Joanna sued Brandi 2 years ago for making the "smelly" comment on 'Watch What Happens Live.'

Robin Thicke is not allowed to go near his child or his ex-wife, Paula Patton ... this after a judge just temporarily yanked custody away from him, but now Robin's lawyer claims Paula is being investigated by the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services for emotional abuse ... TMZ has learned.

Robin and Paula both rushed to an L.A. courtroom Thursday, each asking for complete temporary sole custody of 6-year-old Julian. The judge shut Robin down and issued a domestic violence restraining order Paula sought in which Robin must now stay clear of Julian, her and her mom until further notice.

Robin submitted a declaration from his lawyer, informing the judge they have been told by the DCFS lawyer that the agency will close the investigation into Robin because the allegations were "unfounded," and there is an open investigation into Paula for "emotional abuse."

TMZ broke the story ... DCFS opened an investigation after Julian told school officials earlier this year that his dad had been spanking him hard. According to Paula's legal docs, a school official claimed Julian had complained Robin was punching him ... something Robin has denied.

We've learned the "emotional abuse" allegation involves claims that Paula has intentionally tried to alienate Julian from Robin.

As for Paula's decision to go for a domestic violence restraining order, we're told the trigger was Robin going to Paula's house to pick up Julian for a scheduled visit, and when she wouldn't open the door he allegedly started banging on it ... something Robin denies.

Robin admits to light spanking, but only rarely.

However, it's worth noting a judge in L.A. already ruled the case stay in Jersey but we're told they're gonna try the Christmas card tactic in NJ too.

Sherri Shepherd almost screwed herself over in her child support war, all because she celebrated a birthday ... the BD of Jesus Christ himself.

THE BACKSTORY: Sherri's ex-hubby, Lamar Sally, has been trying for months to move their child support case from NJ to CA where he'd get a way bigger check.

THE SNAFU: Sherri insists the case should be heard in New Jersey because that's where she lives, but sent an Xmas card to friends and fam last month saying she's already moved to L.A. Lamar's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has jumped all over this like white on rice.

THE COMEBACK: Sherri is trying to minimize the screwup by putting Lamar's online dating profile on blast ... a profile in which he brags he makes a lot of money -- between $75k and $100k a year.

Remember, this is the kid Sherri tried to disavow, claiming she was defrauded into making a surrogacy contract ... a claim the judge rejected.

Kurt Cobain's daughter doesn't trust her estranged husband with one of her father's famous guitars ... and she's asking a judge to help her get it back, stat.

Frances Bean Cobain filed docs, obtained by TMZ, asking the court to force Isaiah Silva to return the 1959 Martin D-18E acoustic, which she says he's been holding onto since she filed for divorce last March. The six-string is the legendary one Kurt played during Nirvana's "MTV Unplugged" ... and it's been a heated point of contention in the divorce.

Isaiah insists Frances gifted it to him, and therefore it's his to keep. Frances says there's no way she'd ever have given him such a "priceless family heirloom."

She's asking the court to allow her to inspect it to make sure Isaiah's kept it in cherry condition -- and she wants him to hand it over to an art shipping company for safekeeping ... until the guitar battle's resolved.

The judge still has to rule on her request.

Chelsea Handler insulted Melania Trump ... and it's backfiring.

Chelsea says she wouldn't interview the First Lady because "she can barely speak English."

Handler failed to mention Melania speaks 5 languages ... French, Italian, German, Slovene and, of course, English.

Chelsea, speaking to Variety, then unleashed on Melania, saying she wouldn't book the First Lady or President Donald Trump for her Netflix show because "I don't respect either one of those people."

It's unclear what grudge she has against Melania, other than proximity.

Handler's comments are essentially shaming immigrants who try to adapt to American culture, and when people bully them by making fun of their level of skill in mastering the English language it inhibits them from speaking altogether.

Kelly Rowland is nothing but excited for Lady Gaga's upcoming Super Bowl halftime show ... but knows it will be the runner-up compared to the Destiny's Child show.

We got Kelly leaving Serafina in L.A. Saturday night, and we ask her if she's stoked about Lady Gaga doing the Pepsi halftime show at Super Bowl LI.

She definitely is ... but the DC alum clearly thinks Gaga's won't touch the one she did with Beyoncé. A wink and smile says a lot here.

Donald Trump sent 3 different messages to America via Twitter re: Saturday's protests:

1. You sat on your hands. Trump said, "Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn't these people vote?"

2. Celebrities are a turnoff. It's a theme Trump has carried forward since early on in his campaign. He said, "Celebs hurt cause badly." Lots of celebs spoke at the rallies, including Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Judd, Amy Schumer and Madonna.

3. I'm not against protests. Trump ended with a conciliatory thought, saying, "Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don't always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views."

Donald Trump's Inauguration cake baker just fessed up to copying a design made just a few years ago for Barack Obama's swearing-in.

Celeb baker Duff Goldman created an Obama-inspired Inauguration cake 4 years ago. When he saw a pic of Trump cutting into a cake Friday night, he realized it was almost an exact replica of his design.

Now, the company who made Trump's cake -- Buttercream Bakeshop -- admits they were asked to copy Goldman's, saying, "While we most love creating original designs, when we are asked to replicate someone else's work we are thrilled when it is a masterpiece like this one."

Still no word on which one tasted better.

The battle for L.A. has begun ... and Chargers Pro Bowl safety Jason Verrett just fired one of the first shots!

Verrett was leaving the Chargers media event in L.A. on Wednesday when we asked which team the locals would embrace more ... the L.A. Chargers or the L.A. Rams?

"Chargers," Verrett said ... "because we're a better team."

Russell Westbrook was PISSED at the Golden State Warriors after Wednesday night's game -- vowing revenge on Zaza and apparently telling teammates to stay away from "bitch ass" Kevin Durant.

The game wasn't exactly the friendliest -- with Zaza Pachulia knocking Westbrook to the ground at one point and standing over him in a menacing way.

After the game, Russell went off to reporters saying, "I'm gonna get his ass back. Straight up."

He added, "I don't know when it's gonna be. But I don't play that game."

There's more ... now video has surfaced from the moments the game ended appearing to show Russell telling teammates to not talk to a certain "bitch ass."

According to multiple reports, the "bitch ass" in question is KD, though it's impossible to tell from the clip alone.

Interesting note ... Westbrook says he and Durant are NOT on speaking terms.

Stevie J either had a big change of heart about suing his baby mama, Joseline Hernandez ... or maybe he's just absentminded about court dates.

Stevie's defamation lawsuit against Joseline was dismissed Wednesday by a Georgia judge, because he was a no-show for a scheduled hearing. You'll recall ... Stevie sued Joseline in October after he says she continued to accuse him of molesting his daughter, which he denied.

At the time she was pregnant with their kid, but since she gave birth he's admitted being gaga over the infant, and attempted to squash all beef with Joseline.
