"We're going to have to leave," said Butler, who starred at FSU from 1987 through 1989. "We've got to get out of the ACC. If we want to win a national championship, we've got to go."

FSU -- which just completed a 13-0 season on Saturday -- was believed by many to be one of the four best teams in the country ... but when it came time to pick the four squads who will play for this year's national championship, the CFP committee gave the nod to a one-loss Alabama team over the Seminoles.

When we spoke with Butler about the snub some 24 hours after it went down ... he was furious -- saying he believes the committee "robbed" his former team.

Then, he told us FSU's conference affiliation will need to change in order to prevent these kinds of situations going forward.

"Let's be honest, they don't think the ACC is a good conference," Butler said ... before adding, "I bet you I've gotten 50 calls from people -- 'Man, ya'll have got to get out of the ACC.'"

"This is not basketball. Football brings in the money."

While Butler didn't say where he'd like his alma mater to end up -- it seems pretty clear it's the SEC.

"The SEC is in everybody's brain -- that a one-loss team is better than a 13-0 team."

Jessey Lee's ex-wife claims he's abused her and their kids, and now she's trying to get court ordered protection, but Jessey's denying it ... and claims she's lost all parental rights.

Crystal Hoang Lee -- who was once married to Jessey and has 2 children with him -- ran to court in L.A. this week to file for a temporary restraining order ... and her docs, obtained by TMZ, include shocking allegations of violence.

In the TRO request, Crystal claims Jessey's most recent date of alleged abuse against her was on Nov. 25 of this year ... and she claims he hit one of their children when they wouldn't go to sleep. She also alleges he caused her to have a miscarriage, but the docs don't include any further detail.

If you read through the docs ... she lists several other allegations of abuse from previous years -- ranging from hitting the kids, to hitting her, leaving the family to go gamble, uprooting the children and placing them in different schools.

Still, it appears the court wants to hear more details -- for now, a judge has denied Crystal's request for the TRO, and scheduled a hearing in 2 weeks, when she'll have a chance to lay out all her alleged details.

Jesse's rep tells us, "Mr. Lee has no knowledge of this restraining order. He actually was granted a restraining order against Ms. Hoang on Nov 21st. He has been awarded full exclusive custody of the children and they currently live with him. Ms. Hoang has no access or parental rights. There is absolutely no truth to any of these allegations."

Seminoles legend Charlie Ward is asking for full access to College Football Playoff committee meetings going forward ... after he believes Florida State got screwed over during Sunday's selection process.

The former Heisman Trophy winner told TMZ Sports he believes full transparency following the committee's controversial pick of 12-1 Alabama over 13-0 FSU would help assuage a lot of the salty opinions that were created by the org.'s decision.

Ward -- who ended up having a successful career in the NBA after college football -- says when he was on the Florida High School Athletic Association, open-door meetings helped squelch outrage ... and now he's asking for similar from the CFP.

"A lot of our meetings are online to where people can weigh in and see what the conversations are," Ward said.

"I would like to see us open up that process so that we can hear these conversations and weigh in on the process."

Ward is not the only one who wants something done ... Florida Senator Rick Scott wrote the committee a letter, demanding the CFP provide answers following its "unprecedented exclusion" of FSU from this year's national championship race.

Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong'o clearly don't want anyone to know they're spending a whole lotta time together -- going to great lengths to avoid being snapped together during a joint grocery run.

The Oscar winner made a valiant attempt -- albeit unsuccessfully -- to duck out of view when arriving with the "Dawson's Creek" star to Erewhon in L.A. Monday. Lupita ducked in the passenger's seat, but was still spotted.

Despite their foiled plan, Joshua continued to maintain the illusion of a solo outing as he headed into the store first ... with Lupita following suit minutes later.

While the pair have yet to confirm their relationship, their shenanigans suggest their relationship is beyond friendship.

Joshua and Lupita have known each other for years ... with their connection seemingly heating up in October at Janelle Monáe's concert.

While there was no PDA at the show, the outing raised eyebrows ... especially considering Lupita called it quits with her BF, Sal Masekela, the same day ... and swiftly deleted all traces of him from her IG.

George Santos is saying a big "f*** you" to everyone at HBO ... vowing to go after the channel/streaming platform for developing a new movie about his controversial political career.

The recently-booted congressman sounded off to TMZ after HBO optioned the rights to Mark Chiusano's new book "The Fabulist: The Lying, Hustling, Grifting, Stealing, and Very American Legend of George Santos" ... blasting it as defamatory and misappropriating his name and likeness.

Santos says he has zero involvement in the "fictitious story" the movie plans to sell to the American people ... and is vexed about the filmmakers and book's author not speaking to him or getting authorization to write about him.

However, he says he's not concerned about how he'll be represented in the doc ... because he's working on a project that best fits his narrative. As for HBO, Santos vented, "F*** them and their chicken s*** deal with no inside information or reality of facts."

We're not sure how he'll navigate any potential comeback trail following his expulsion from Congress last week ... but ya gotta applaud the hustle.

The decision came following a controversial time in office, which included multiple felony charges.

For now, he's been busy advising his fans to "let the haters hate" on Cameo for $200 a vid.

BTW, we talked to the guy whose book this HBO film is based on ... and he tells us he tried his best to get GS to get involved in the story, to no avail though.

8:32 AM -- Cops say in a police report obtained by TMZ Sports that James Hill Jr. told them the assault was preceded by a series of disputes between him and his brother ... including one that involved the cleaning of Jamahal Hill's freezer.

In the docs, officers say James told them he had picked Jamahal up from a Michigan airport ... but when the two arrived at Jamahal's house a short time later, they realized that because the residence had been left vacant for months, the electricity in the unit had been turned off -- causing "all the food in the house to spoil and rot."

Cops say James told them he and Jamahal had agreed James would clean the house with his wife for $300. James said, according to the docs, "he cleaned out the whole house besides the chest freezer in the garage."

But, cops say in the police report James told them that after he and Jamahal got into an argument over the UFC fighter's alleged treatment of women and their own mother -- he left the home.

James, according to cops, said Jamahal texted him the next day and asked why he didn't clean out the freezer ... allegedly demanding half the money back for the unfinished job.

Police say James, however, came back on Nov. 25 to clean it all out ... and once he completed the task, he went to talk to Jamahal -- and another dispute broke out.

This time, according to the docs, James and Jamahal got into it over Thanksgiving Day texts. The argument, cops say James told them, then turned physical.

Officers say James told them Jamahal "sucker punched" him with a closed fist -- before hitting him a second time.

According to the docs, James left the home and debated on calling police because "he didn't want to ruin Jamahal's UFC fighting career." Though after Jamahal allegedly wouldn't respond to texts or apologize, he called cops to report the incident.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill allegedly got so violent during an altercation with his brother last month that he knocked a tooth right out of the man's mouth.

The allegations are spelled out in a probable cause affidavit, obtained by TMZ Sports.

In the docs, police say James Hill Jr. told them from a Kentwood-area hospital in Michigan that Jamahal had assaulted him on Nov. 25 after the two had gotten into an argument.

Jamahal, according to the docs, punched his brother once, sending him to the ground. Cops say when James got up, Jamahal punched him again -- hurling him right back to the floor.

According to the docs, James' face and left eye were "very swollen" after the alleged attack ... and officers also say James was "missing a front tooth that he stated got broke when Jamahal assaulted him."

Jamahal was arrested over the allegations on Nov. 27 ... and formally charged with one count of aggravated domestic violence shortly after. He's due in court for a hearing on the matter next month.

In a video Jamahal released on Saturday, the 32-year-old said he's "been advised not to speak on" the arrest ... though he did say, "I just can't wait for the truth to be told in court and I will wait for that day and I look forward to that day."

"The people who know me and know my character and truly, truly rock with me and know who I am, hold on to that and stay true to that and yeah, that's all I'm gonna say on that."

Britney Spears' dad, Jamie Spears, had his leg amputated a month ago, TMZ has learned, and we're told there is hope for a father/daughter reconciliation.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Jamie had a massive infection in one of his legs that landed him in a hospital for weeks. He had 5 unsuccessful surgeries to contain the infection, and doctors decided the only way to proceed was amputation.

Jamie is not doing well. He's had other ailments and has been downcast amid the torrent of criticism over his handling of the conservatorship ... something he thinks is terribly unfair. Remember, Jamie is the one who moved from Louisiana to care for his daughter back in 2007. Lots of people who were involved back then say Jamie may have saved Britney's life.

Now here's the interesting twist. Our sources say Britney has softened toward her dad recently. There have been times when she's said she misses her dad, and once even talked about sending him money to help him out.

As for Jamie, our sources say there's nothing he'd rather have than a reconciliation with his daughter, and harbors no ill will.

As we reported, Britney's been trying to mend family fences as of late. She invited her mom Lynne to L.A. over the weekend for her 42nd birthday party, and we're told they got along great. They have been talking on the phone for weeks and are forging a new relationship.

Britney also invited Jamie Lynn to the party, although she was out of town and couldn't attend. BTW, we know Britney is communicating with her sister. Her brother Bryan did join in the fun over the weekend.

Our sources say Britney misses her family and now that she's told her truth in her memoir, she wants to reconnect. Jamie would be the last piece of that puzzle.

What's interesting ... whether reestablishing a relationship with her dad would have an impact on the legal action in play over allegations over the conservatorship.

K&M have had a dramatic few weeks with Kyle blasting the real estate boss for how he's carried himself with his "DWTS" costar Emma Slater -- and also referring to their split as a "divorce."

A boat full of migrants washed ashore in Malibu last week -- and we've learned their landing spot ended up being closer to Gloria Allred's place ... plus, turns out, this is the norm!

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the boat in question from last Tuesday -- where at least two dozen migrants scrambled on the beach upon touching down on land -- was much closer to Allred's home (like right next to, in fact) than it was Barbra Streisand's ... something that was initially reported by other outlets.

What's more, our sources say this is not a new event in the Malibu area. Empty boats and remnants are found every 2 to 3 months, we're told ... but the "human cargo" -- as it was put to us -- is almost always gone before it's reported.

Our law enforcement sources tell us ... if any undocumented migrants are found on land, they're detained until Homeland Security takes custody of them. However, last week, they got away before the Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.

This comes after footage shared by FOX News' Bill Melugin showed what appeared to be a panga boat washing ashore off the coast of Malibu ... with what he describes as "illegal" migrants.

A day later, reports of yet another panga boat surfaced off the coast of Malibu as well -- but according to a local Los Angeles media, that one sunk, and nobody was found ... only debris and life jackets.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh says a woman is so obsessed with him, she changed her last name to "Houshmandzadeh" in an effort to get closer to him ... and now, he wants a court to order her to stay the hell away from him.

The former NFL star spelled out the allegations in a request for a temporary restraining order in Los Angeles ... claiming a 53-year-old woman named Annette Marie Houshmandzadeh has been making life miserable for him and his family since at least 2015.

In the docs, the ex-Cincinnati Bengals wideout says Annette used to go by Annette Selkirk, but legally changed her surname to "Houshmandzadeh" after developing "a bizarre and extreme obsession" with him and his family.

T.J. says he actually had a restraining order placed on the fan in 2015 -- though when it expired in 2019, he says she continued her harassment of him.

T.J. claims the woman has been posing as the mother of his kids online, making contact with his wife, as well as sending harassing mail and personal items to his home.

T.J. also says in the docs that he once received a letter from Annette in which she stated she had "several bullets inscribed with the names of each member of the Houshmandzadeh family."
