Titans' Treylon Burks Carted Off Field ... After Suffering Scary Injury
Tennessee Titans star Treylon Burks was strapped to a backboard and carted off the field after suffering a scary injury during Thursday night's game ... but, thankfully, he now appears to be doing OK.
The terrifying moment happened late in the fourth quarter of Tennessee's tilt with the Steelers in Pittsburgh ... when Burks attempted to make a circus catch to keep a late-game Titans drive alive.
Scary: #Titans WR Treylon Burks went down on this play and didn’t move since.

He was taken off on a backboard.

The 23-year-old jumped up for the ball, grabbed it with two hands ... but when he came crashing to the grass, it slipped from his grasp as his head and neck slammed violently into the ground.
Burks lay motionless for several moments ... before trainers and medical personnel rushed to stabilize him.
The wide receiver -- a former first-round pick -- was eventually taken to the locker room ... where Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said he was showing positive signs of recovery.
"He's alert, moving," Vrabel told reporters after the game. "I'll have more of an update hopefully tomorrow, but he's back there being evaluated. But, I would say that the way it looked -- it's probably better than how it looked."

Florida Man Arrested for Child Abuse Allegedly Botched Cousin's Circumcision
A Florida man was arrested last month after he allegedly tried circumcising his toddler cousin -- which went terribly wrong ... and which landed this guy behind bars.
29-year-old Timothoes Powell was taken into custody and booked on child abuse charges earlier in October -- all because he allegedly tried snipping his 2-year-old relative's penis while babysitting him down in Daytona Beach ... this according to the local authorities.
Here's how cops are saying it went down ... Powell was watching his young cuzzo while the kid's parents were away -- and mom and dad got a call from their nephew at one point saying he had to rush their son to the hospital because he was bleeding from his crotch.
As it turns out ... the child appeared to have been cut, and when asked about this -- Powell reportedly told police glass must've been in the little one's diaper. Upon further questioning, however, Powell reportedly said he may have pulled the baby's foreskin down too hard while trying to clean him. Of course, cops weren't buying that -- 'cause nurses said it looked like a clean cut and was far too precise to be any sort of accident like the one he described.
Cops ended up arresting with some other evidence they say they recovered -- including home surveillance footage which supposedly shows Powell acting mean to the kid ... and allegedly walking away from the boy at one point with an object in his hand. Investigators believe he may have attempted to deliberately circumcise his cousin ... and now, he's in trouble.
Powell is facing aggravated child abuse charges and is still locked up in Volusia County Branch Jail.

Jorge Soler Sued Allegedly Hit Fan's Eye With Ball ... During '21 World Series
A baseball fan is suing MLB star Jorge Soler ... claiming he hurled a ball into the stands during a 2021 World Series game that ended up causing an "excruciating injury to her right eye."
The lawsuit was filed by Mayra Morris in Georgia on Oct. 25 ... nearly two years after she says Soler caused the injury during one of the Braves vs. Astros championship games at Truist Park in Atlanta.
Norris claims she, her husband and her brother-in-law had seats for the Oct. 29, 2021 contest near the right field grass ... when in the fifth inning, Soler changed her life completely.
She alleges the then-Atlanta Braves outfielder hit her "directly" in her eye after he threw a baseball into the stands during a break in the action "with great force, speed, and intensity."
In the suit, Norris says Soler's toss was not "incidental to the game or any warm-up between players." She also says that after she got checked out by medical personnel, she was diagnosed with multiple fractures, an edema, and an infra-orbital abrasion ... which will require long-term medical care.
She's suing Soler and the Braves for unspecified damages.
Meanwhile, Norris' husband, Scott Norris, is also listed as a plaintiff in the suit ... after he alleges the "loss of companionship, love, affection and intimacy" as a result of the incident.
The Braves did not have a comment on the suit when reached this week ... according to Atlanta News First.
As for Soler, he was a superstar during the series ... helping the Braves win it all, before earning MVP honors. He later went on to sign a three-year deal with the Miami Marlins in the offseason.

Jon Jones Patched Up After Pec Surgery ... Shows Off Bandages
Jon Jones is on the road to recovery after going down with a serious injury ahead of UFC 295 ... showing off his bandaged-up pec following surgery last week.
Bones was forced to back out of his big heavyweight championship bout against Stipe Miocic after he tore his muscle right off the bone in a training session ... postponing the highly-anticipated matchup until 2024.
Jones wasted no time fixing his ailment by going under the knife ... and on Tuesday, he posted a video revealing Steri-Strips -- which are used to hold incisions together -- near his shoulder.
Jones didn't talk in the short clip ... but he really didn't have to -- you can tell by his facial expression he's just as bummed as everyone else about not being able to fight on Nov. 11 at Madison Square Garden.
In the meantime, Sergei Pavlovich will now take on Tom Aspinall for the interim heavyweight title at the Garden ... which will be the co-main event alongside the Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira fight.
Jones also shared a post-op vid last week ... confirming he had gotten the procedure done and was ready for the next steps in his comeback. Dr. Neal ElAttrache -- who recently worked on Aaron Rodgers' Achilles -- performed the surgery.
Stipe claims he wasn't asked to stay on the 295 card ... but either way, he's ready to get the title back from Jones when the time comes.
"The fight being canceled, it sucks," Stipe said. "No question about it. Unfortunately, that’s just the game we’re in. It happens. Like I said, I hope he’s okay. You want to be the best; you’ve got to beat the best. I want that belt back. It’s my belt. It’s going to happen."
Dana White said it will take eight months for Jones to get back to 100%, but orthopedic surgeons like Dr. David Abbasi say he could be back in half the time.
Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later -- get better, Bones!!

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez just got in front of a camera with his manhood nearly on full display ... and he's hoping the hilarious sight will now help save some lives.
The MLB legend stripped down to his undies as part of a partnership with underwear company Saxx -- filming a 75-second commercial with the goal of raising awareness for testicular cancer in mind.
In the vid, Rodriguez rocked a pair of boxer briefs that he insisted held his family jewels "like a catcher's mitt" ... before he introduced a "Ballgorithm" that will ultimately raise cash for the good cause.
Rodriguez and his co-host explained ... the algorithm -- a math equation centered around the number of bad balls that a pitcher hurls during a contest -- will be applied to every Rangers vs. Diamondbacks World Series game this fall ... and then that figure will be multiplied by 1,000.
That total number will then be turned into dollars and donated to the Testicular Cancer Foundation -- a cause Pudge tells TMZ Sports he cares deeply about.
"The purpose is just to make people laugh and make people aware to go check themselves," he said, "and we did a nice commercial."
The MLB Hall of Famer -- who's now working as a special assistant to the general manager of the Rangers -- said he's been catching a lot of ribbin' both inside and outside of the Texas clubhouse over the vid ... but he couldn't be happier that it might prevent tragedies for people going forward.
"For me, that's the most important thing," he said. "Pay attention. This is a disease you can get in the early ages. So, our message is just to go check, because you never know."
As for Pudge's former team -- the Rangers -- they're all tied up at 1-1 with the DBacks and are now headed to Arizona for Game 3 on Monday night. Check out our interview with Pudge to see how he thinks it'll all shake out from here!!

Maine Mass Shooting 18 Victims Remembered
Eighteen people are dead after this week's mass shooting in Maine -- lives cut short when Robert Card opened fire in a bowling alley and a bar -- and the list of his victims includes people in their 70s and even a 14-year-old boy.
Reports say teenager Aaron Young was with his father, Bill, at the Just-In-Time Recreation bowling alley in Lewiston Wednesday night for Aaron's bowling league when the gunman opened fire inside the building -- the father and son were both killed.
76-year-old Bob Violette also lost his life in the bowling alley. There for his volunteer job coaching the youth bowling league, his coworker told WBZ News he was "so kind," "super understanding," and "very patient with everybody."
53-year-old Tricia Asselin was gunned down while trying to call 911 at the bowling alley, and the location's manager, 34-year-old Tommy Conrad, died while trying to subdue Card.
Jason Walker and his friend Michael Deslauriers II were both at the alley with their wives and kids when the shots rang out -- Michael's father says the 2 men charged at Card after making sure their families were safe, and that's when they were fatally shot.
As we reported, Card left the bowling alley and opened fire once again on the crowd at Schemengees Bar and Grille, killing 8 more people ... including Maxx Hathaway, a father who was there with his pregnant wife, Brenda, and their toddler, Lilian.
According to their GoFundMe, the family was at Schemengees when his wife -- who is due with their 3rd child in just over a month -- took their little one home while he stayed behind to play some more pool.
Among those killed at the bar were several members of the deaf community, who were there for a cornhole tournament ... including Bryan MacFarlane, Steven Vozzella, Billy Bracket, and Joshua Seal.
56-year-old Joseph Walker, manager at Schemengees, was also gunned down ... losing his life after trying to stop Card.
As you know, Card also injured 13 people during his murder spree -- his Bowdoin, ME home was surrounded by police Thursday night, but he wasn't home. A manhunt is still underway for him, as local gun stores have seen a huge uptick in sales of firearms and ammo in response.

'Walking Dead' Actor Erik Jensen Diagnosed With Stage 4 Cancer
"The Walking Dead" actor Erik Jensen has been diagnosed with stage four cancer ... this according to his wife, who has started a GoFundMe to help cover the rising costs.
Erik's wife, Jessica Blank, said on the fundraiser her husband has stage four colorectal cancer ... and his diagnosis is coming a year and a half after he survived a brain aneurysm.
She says Erik's cancer "has metastasized to his liver," but his doctors "have a shot at shrinking the tumors enough to do two very major surgeries and get them all out" ... adding how strong and resilient her husband is.
Jessica points out that Erik, like countless other actors like him, has been financially affected by the "lack of streaming residuals" over the years ... not to mention the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which has shut down most of Hollywood.
She says they have mountains of medical costs, and now Erik's facing "serious risk" of losing SAG insurance ... which is why she's asking for his fans to help in any way they can.
It seems like folks have already been supporting Erik during his health crisis -- he's received over $97k in a week, with a goal of $300k.
Fans of the AMC series remember Erik portraying Steven Edwards, a doctor working at the post-apocalyptic medical facility, Grady Memorial Hospital. He's also worked on projects like "Mr. Robot," "The Equalizer," "Chicago P.D.," and "CSI."

Dunkin' Donuts WOMAN GETS $3M FOR SPILLED COFFEE ... Franchise Settles Lawsuit
Dunkin' Donuts allegedly dished out a very hot, and very expensive cup of coffee ... a franchise in Georgia just settled a lawsuit over some spilled java for $3 million.
Here's the deal ... an elderly woman in Atlanta sued after claiming she suffered third-degree burns when her Dunkin' Donuts coffee spilled on her lap as she sat in her car in the drive-thru of a DD in Sugar Hill, GA.
The woman, represented by Benjamin Welch at Morgan & Morgan, claimed the lid was not secured on the coffee cup, causing a spill she says burned her body so badly she had to get extensive skin grafts and re-learn how to walk.
The law firm says the incident happened back in February 2021 ... and now there's been a settlement, with the woman set to receive $3 million from the Dunkin' Donuts franchisee.
Morgan & Morgan says the woman racked up more than $200k in medical bills, and still struggles with day-to-day life as a result of the burns, which require her to apply creams and ointments several times a day.
The lawsuit and settlement bring back memories of a famous 1994 lawsuit against McDonald's, when another woman claimed she was burned by hot coffee.
That suit eventually went to trial and triggered a massive push for tort reform in America ... not to mention getting referenced in a "Seinfeld" episode and a Toby Keith song.

3-Year-Old Girl Shooting 911 Caller Claims Adults Tried To Hide Incident

The adults in the room when a 3-year-old shot herself with an unattended gun tried covering up the bloody incident ... at least according to the woman who called 911.
In the dispatch audio, obtained by TMZ, the caller says she's not at the home but has been informed about the shooting and is rushing over to help. She's not sure if anyone in the home called 911, and the dispatcher can't seem to find any prior call about the shooting.
The caller begs for an ambulance to rush over to the home, adding ..."And, they are trying to hide it. That's why they didn't call fire rescue. I need an officer over there. I need fire rescue over there."
She also tells the dispatcher the people in the home are trying to take the kiddo to the hospital themselves and "they just let her shoot herself in the hand."
As we reported ... home surveillance video shows the young girl, Serenity, playing in the living room at her grandma's Florida home, jumping onto a couch where a loaded firearm is sitting in plain view.
Serenity grabs the pistol and peers over at a relative, Orlando Young, who is watching a football game on a laptop ... and then the gun goes off. The bullet strikes her hand, and she cries out in pain as chaos ensues.
The caller is on the phone with 911 as she races to the house, and she's still on the line when she pulls up ... and you hear her yelling at someone, "Why didn't they call fire rescue?!?"
Miami-Dade County police say family members took Serenity to a hospital ... and Young was arrested and charged with child neglect.
It's unclear if the caller is the girl's mother, Warnicia Williams, who told Local 10 News she wants Young held accountable.
We reached out to Young's attorney, who declined to comment at this time.
