President Trump broke his silence on James Comey's testimony ... declaring victory over his former FBI Director, and dismissing him as a "leaker."

Fair to say, the Prez was NOT impressed with what he saw and heard during Comey's Senate Intel Committee hearing. Early Friday, Trump said, "Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication...and WOW, Comey is a leaker!"

POTUS' Twitter fingers were silent during Comey's highly anticipated testimony, making the event kind of a let down. Trump's now revealing his takeaway -- Comey had nothing on him when it comes to Russia ... and Comey admitted leaking info about their meetings.

Obviously, there was much more said -- such as Comey testifying he couldn't trust the President wouldn't lie -- something many took as a blow to 45's character.

Still, Trump's perspective on the event is clear: I win.

John McCain says he has a perfectly good excuse for that bizarre line of questioning during the Comey hearing Thursday ... he watched too much baseball the night before.

Twitter has been exploding with people mocking the 80-year-old AZ senator for strangely bringing up the Hillary Clinton investigation while everyone else wanted answers on Russia and Trump.

McCain accused Comey of applying a double standard by closing the Clinton investigation while leaving the Trump inquiry open. Comey's explanation was that the Clinton investigation ran its course while the Trump investigation had barely started when Trump fired him.

This seemed a rational explanation for everyone in the room, except for McCain who seemed baffled.

Now, McCain has issued a statement trying to explain (and also poking fun at himself) ... saying:

"I get the sense from Twitter that my line of questioning today went over people's heads. Maybe going forward I shouldn't stay up late watching the Diamondbacks night games."

For the record, the D-Backs played the Padres Wednesday night ... and won 7-4.

Cleveland PD doesn't care their beloved Cavs are down 0-2 ... they're still talkin' smack.

Here's what the CPD just tweeted out to fans going to Game 3 tonight in The Land.

"No backpacks permitted in Q Arena or at FanFest for tonight's @cavs vs. what's their face's game."

Shaaaaaaaaade.

Before Zoolander flashed blue steel, Val Kilmer was flashing real killer looks as Iceman in "Top Gun" ... and he's still got it. Just ask Val.

Val was rocking a "Cool As Ice" tee while taking a selfie -- a well-timed shout-out to his "Top Gun" character ... since Tom Cruise just announced he's doing the sequel, "Top Gun: Maverick."

Iceman hasn't been shy about wanting to reprise his role. Back in May he posted another selfie saying, "I'm ready Tom- still got my top gun plaque! Still got the moves! Still got it!"

Gotta have a wingman, Tom! Just sayin' ...

First Bill Maher, now another white comic is dropping the n-bomb -- this time, it's Jay Mohr who used the word twice in a Twitter rant about rapper Boosie Badazz.

Mohr was reacting to an interview Boosie did describing how he witnessed fellow prison inmates engaging in anal sex. Boosie made several homophobic comments during the interview.

Jay tweeted about the interview -- pointing out Boosie's gratuitous use of the n-word.

"LIL Boosie says N**ga 19 times but twitter accusing him of Being homophobic," Jay wrote.

Mohr then weighed in on a separate Twitter conversation -- in which one commenter called another commenter "corny."

Jay wrote, "This n**ga just got called corny."

For the record, Jay has been using the n-word in his stand-up routine for years -- and has never really taken heat for it.

But now, with the backlash against Bill Maher -- and the fact he's dating Lakers owner Jeanie Buss -- is it the best idea to be using the n-word so cavalierly??

Jay's not backing down.

Big Papi says he's NOT gonna unretire and hit for the Boston Red Sox this season -- despite a big endorsement from his legendary ex-teammate, Pedro Martinez.

Pedro got everyone talking Monday when he tweeted out, "Big Papi is working out, and I know he is in baseball shape, and the @RedSox could use a bit of his bat."

So, when we saw David Ortiz at CC & Amber Sabathia's PitCCh At Foundation charity event in NYC, we had to ask if a comeback was on the table.

Unfortunately, Ortiz shoots that down ... telling TMZ Sports he's too busy enjoying his retirement and watching quality television programming.

Khloe Kardashian says she's the victim of theft and betrayal by her former friend whom Khloe considered part of her family.

Khloe took to Twitter over the weekend shedding some light on the incident and asking followers, "What would you do if you found out a friend was stealing from you?"

Khloe hasn't yet filed a lawsuit or police report, but, sources close to the situation tell us she's already talked to her lawyers, claiming the friend charged tens of thousands of dollars in designer clothes to Khloe's credit card ... clothes that didn't end up in her closet.

We're also told Khloe believes high-end designers sent her all sorts of stuff but the friend never turned it over to her.

In all, Khloe believes a small fortune was taken.

We're told Khloe's mulling over a lawsuit but hasn't decided yet. Her friends are urging her not to sue, because it will ruin the friend's career.

Bella Thorne is making improvements in the guy department by picking guys like Charlie Day over Scott Disick ... this according to Charlie Day.

We got Charlie arriving at LAX over the weekend where he told us he'd actually heard about Bella tweeting she wants to marry him -- and while he seems genuinely flattered ... there's an issue: Charlie's wife.

The 'Always Sunny in Philadelphia' star makes it pretty clear the 19-year-old actress can forget about a menage a trois -- even if she keeps going out in see-through tops.

Rob Kardashian's so-called new girlfriend is playing Internet hoax victim ... but we're told she's the one fueling the rumors.

Rob had a new girl, according to some recent online posts -- 'Basketball Wives' and "Bad Girls Club" vet Mehgan James. But it didn't ring true almost from the get-go ... Rob began posting pics of baby mama Blac Chyna, tweeting that he'd never even met James, much less banged her.

Mehgan then put it out there she had no idea how the rumors started ... re-tweeting Rob's denial.

Now the truth ... Mehgan was the mastermind of the whole thing.

Our sources say Mehgan's "team" contacted a bunch of media outlets planting the story. We're told her goal was SOP ... spread her name, grow her following.

Mehgan's at 806k Instagram followers -- doubling in a week -- so sadly, mission accomplished.

Donald Trump might be America's midnight wordsmith, but Merriam-Webster isn't bowing to all the covfefe -- the President's made-up lingo will NOT be in their good book.

Merriam-Webster's editor-at-large, Peter Sololowski, tells TMZ ... Trump's now infamous word won't be making an appearance in their dictionary anytime soon, despite TONS of people trying to define it this week.

Sololowski believes covfefe was simply a typo, and says MW doesn't create entries for what it considers misspelled words. MW's website's been flooded with covfefe searches since Trump's late night tweet ... and Sololwski says they're serving up suggestions like coffee, coven, cover, covet and covey.

BTW ... White House sources tell us they maintain what Sean Spicer said Wednesday -- that covfefe was deliberate ... and its true meaning is known only to a select group.

Donald Trump just lashed out at Kathy Griffin for her photo shoot featuring a beheaded, bloody mannequin in the image of the President, saying she has messed up his 11-year-old son.

Trump tweeted, "Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick."

Kathy has apologized for the shoot she did with famed photog Tyler Shields, after receiving a torrent of criticism.

Kathy is feeling the fallout. Squatty Potty has suspended its ad campaign featuring the comedian, saying, "We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today. It was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for."

2:30 PM PT -- Chelsea Clinton's weighed in too, and she's decidedly Team Trump on this one.

Donald Trump Jr. is blasting Kathy Griffin, and all liberals, for her photo op with a bloodied mask of President Trump ... but admits he's not all that shocked.

Don Jr. called the gory Tyler Shields shot of Kathy ... "Disgusting but not surprising. This is the left today. They consider this acceptable."

He also said, "Imagine a conservative did this to Obama as POTUS?"

For her part ... Kathy's not backing down. She borrowed the now infamous Trump quote about Megyn Kelly, saying ... "There was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his ... wherever."

She added she doesn't condone violence and was merely mocking "the Mocker in Chief."

Donald Trump is back in the U.S.A., and one of his first orders of business was addressing the American people ... about the "Fake News" media ... on Twitter, no less.

Trump went on an early morning Twitter rant Sunday to dump his latest thoughts after returning from his first foreign trip in Europe and the Mid East. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he ripped what he calls the "Fake News" media.

Greg Gianforte hunted and broke bread with Donald Trump, Jr. last month ... several weeks before the President's son endorsed Gianforte in his congressional run.

The pic shows Donald Jr. in Ingomar, MT, dining after "a great day of hunting" ... this according to Senator Steve Daines, who's also at the table.

Donald Jr. mugged with Gianforte outside the restaurant as well ... after an afternoon of hunting prairie dogs.

As for Jr.'s dad ... the President endorsed Gianforte in a robocall that was released hours before the body slam.

Ethan Embry's hooked on something else these days ... GETTING YOKED!

The "Can't Hardly Wait" star was in Larchmont Village Tuesday and the convo started on a serious note -- drug addiction. Ethan was hooked on heroin and painkillers, but says he's 6 years sober now.

He railed against those who want to criminalize drug addiction -- going off on a Twitter rant to get his point across ... but in the midst of that convo, we learned he's picked up quite the fitting habit.

Michael Bisping is furious about the senseless terror attack in his hometown of Manchester, and has taken to social media to vent about the event, calling the bombers "Motherf**kers."

Bisping took to his social media in the aftermath of the attack, posting to voice his concerns for everyone affected in the attack, and his anger at event was evident in his hashtag.

"Lost for words at this cruelty. My thought and prayers are with everyone who was in attendance #motherf**kers."

Michael isn't the only athlete to react to the attacks, guys like Dwight Howard, David Beckham, and Lewis Hamilton have too, but it's clear his connection is strong, and so is his anger at the attackers.
