John Mayer wants to can the idea that men must be alpha males and take what they want -- including women -- and replace it with a new doctrine focused on respect and sensitivity.

The guitar-slinging crooner was doing a cancer benefit show Sunday night at the Modell Performing Arts Center in Baltimore when he went off on a tangent about toxic masculinity, which he called a "bulls**t" alpha male contract that's nailed into boys' heads from a young age.

He says the sentiment that a man should get an erection at the sight of every woman he wants is crap. John added the so-called "trauma" men might feel when a woman turns them down ... is something men just have to get over.

His new idea on how to raise boys ... teach 'em that the world isn't theirs, and they're not definitely not entitled to every woman. It's worth noting this rant came right after John performed "Daughters."

He never calls him by name, but it's pretty clear John's referring to newly sworn-in Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

As wild as it was to watch Khabib Nurmagomedov jump out of the Octagon to attack Conor McGregor's training teammate on TV, it's even crazier with this angle from the ground floor.

TMZ has obtained footage that captured the insane moment Khabib -- who'd just defeated Conor for the lightweight belt -- hopped over the cage and try to fight Dillon Danis. This is a clear shot of the action ... and it gives you a sense of how chaotic it was on the ground level.

Tons of people -- including metro police -- immediately rushed in to break up the fight, and Khabib is quickly dragged away screaming. You also see Conor try to rush out as well and get into it with Khabib's teammate, before getting rushed himself by another guy in Khabib's camp.

Khabib later apologized for the incident, but it's unclear what punishment -- if any -- he may face for setting off the massive brawl.

Taylor Swift just made her current political views explicitly clear for what may be the first time ever in her career -- and it might piss off a lot of conservatives in Tennessee.

Tay posted a lengthy statement on Instagram Sunday that weighed in on the midterm elections taking place across the country next month. She addressed the congressional race in her home state of Tennessee -- where she moved when she was 14 and where she'll be voting herself -- for which she declared she'd be voting for two Democrats running for U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives.

In her post, Taylor says she's been reluctant to voice her politics publicly in the past -- but felt compelled to do so now due to recent events in her life and around the world. She says she has always cast votes for people who protect human rights, support the LGBT community, fight against discrimination of any sort as well as the systematic racism at play in the country.

As such, she says she cannot in her right conscience vote for U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Republican who's running for a Senate seat against former TN Gov. Phil Bredesen -- a Democrat. Blackburn's been seen at Trump rallies in support of the President.

Taylor says Blackburn has taken positions that are antithetical to everything she personally stands for, adding ... "These are not MY Tennessee values." She goes on to say she'll be voting for Jim Cooper for the House of Representatives -- another Democrat.

Insane Clown Posse's Shaggy 2 Dope attempted to do something truly crazy this weekend to fellow rocker Fred Durst ... a running dropkick -- which totally crashed and burned.

Fred was performing with his own band, Limp Bizkit, Saturday night at the 2018 Rock Allegiance Festival in Camden, New Jersey when Shaggy tried rushing him on stage with a WWE wrestling move that completely backfired. The dropkick ended up dropping Shaggy more effectively than it did Fred ... and security quickly dragged him away to the side stage.

Fred was hardly rocked by the kick, which came up just a bit short, and he calmly announced to the audience ... "What a p***y. Couldn't even pull it off." As the stage handlers attempted to contain Shaggy, it appears another person in ICP's camp got into it as well.

Terry Bradshaw says Pittsburgh REALLY crapped the bed when it came to Le'Veon Bell ... telling TMZ Sports the Steelers shoulda offered him WAY MORE MONEY!!!

The Steelers reportedly gave their All-Pro running back a three-year, $47 million deal -- and Bradshaw says it's no wonder why Bell spit on that offer.

"He's worth a lot. He's worth a lot more," Bradshaw tells us. "There's nobody like him in the NFL."

Colin Kaepernick's star power is bigger NOW than when he was playing football -- and he doesn't need the NFL's platform to be effective in his off-the-field mission ... so says T.I.

There are some people who believe without being on an NFL roster, people will lose interest in Kaepernick -- and he'll eventually become irrelevant and fade away.

But, not T.I. -- who appeared on "TMZ Live" and explained why Colin's more influential now than ever ... and suggested going back to the NFL might actually take his focus away from the social justice issues he's been tackling.

Greg Hardy's had a nice run to start his fighting career ... but it'll all come crashing down as soon as he stops "fighting bums" -- so says ex-UFC star Brendan Schaub.

We got the UFC fighter-turned-MMA analyst out at LAX ... and he pulled no punches when it came to breaking down Hardy's fight career -- both present and future.

"There's other guys I would market over Greg Hardy for a number of reasons," Schaub says.

Ryan Lochte is now acknowledging that he has a "serious" alcohol problem after a booze-fueled incident at a Southern California hotel and he'll be seeking treatment, TMZ Sports has learned.

We've confirmed ... Lochte was involved in an incident at a hotel in Newport Beach on Thursday morning in which he drunkenly tried to kick in his own hotel room door around 3 AM.

Hotel security responded to the scene and cops were called. No arrests were made and Lochte smoothed things over with the hotel in regards to the damaged door.

But, now we've learned ... Lochte is realizing he's been battling an "alcohol addiction" and needs to address it before the problem gets worse.

"Ryan has been battling alcohol addiction for many years and unfortunately it has become a destructive pattern for him," Lochte's lawyer, Jeff Ostrow tells us.

"He has acknowledged that he needs professional assistance to overcome his problem and will be getting help immediately. "

"Ryan knows that conquering this disease now is a must for him to avoid making future poor decisions, to be the best husband and father he can be, and if he wants to achieve his goal to return to dominance in the pool in his 5th Olympics in Tokyo in 2020."

This incident is not the first time Lochte has gotten into trouble after a night of boozing -- he was arrested in Brazil back 2016 after a drunken incident at a local gas station.

Steven Seagal was quick to shut down an interview after a reporter brought up a rape allegation made against the actor.

Seagal appeared on BBC's Newsnight Thursday and host Kirsty Wark brought up the #MeToo movement. Wark then says, "You've been very much caught up in all the allegations of sexual harassment, you had a rape allegation against you and I wonder how you deal with all that?"

Just as Wark wrapped her question, Seagal ripped out his earpiece, stood up and walked out of camera view.

Seagal was accused in March of raping a woman back in the 90's ... another woman claimed he had sexually assaulted her in 2002. Portia de Rossi claimed Seagal sat her down on a couch during a casting for one of his films and unzipped his pants, so she fled the room.

Seagal adamantly denied all claims.

A Houston cop working the Drake and Migos concert got caught in the act ... of snapping a cell phone pic of a woman's ass.

Little did the officer know another concertgoer was recording him during the show at Houston's Toyota Center -- and you can see him take the shot of the woman wearing a striped mini dress. Even worse for him ... moments later you can see the cop admiring the creepy shot on his phone.

Appropriately, you can hear Migos in the background performing "Slippery."

Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele is adamant Donald Trump and his base don't accurately represent American values, and as evidenced by his controversial messaging in Mississippi.

We got Steele on Capitol Hill Wednesday afternoon and wondered what the prominent Republican had to say about the Prez mocking Dr. Christine Ford at Tuesday night's rally. ICYMI ... Trump intimated Ford belongs to a group of "really evil people" set on destroying his SCOTUS nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

Steele RIPPED 45, calling what he said about Dr. Ford ... stupid, wrong and "disrespectful of the office." As for the crowd cheering as the President went off on Ford, Steele had one word for them ... and it wasn't a kind one.

Desiigner got into a heated exchange with a fan who was egging him on during his concert, and even took a healthy swing ... after being called a knock-off version of Future!

We've obtained video of the incident ... and it's pretty wild. You see Desiigner beefing with the trash talker before trying to grab the man's shirt, and then throwing a left hook!

We're told the heckler kept yelling at Desiigner during the set, calling him a Future rip-off. When the NYC rapper reaches his boiling point, he gets in the man's face and pulls a punch -- but it's a swing and miss.

Anna Faris posted a photo she thought was innocent enough, but people on social media almost instantly began an attack over her weight ... and the onslaught was so brutal she deleted the pic.

Anna posted the photo with the caption, "Having pre-show jitters- so glad Michael Sherman captured it- also I eventually decided to put on pants." Michael Sherman is her assistant for her podcast, "Unqualified."

People on social media pounced, saying things like ... "You look so unhealthy, eat." Another says, "This is alarming!" And yet another says, "I feel this pic is a cry for help, I hope you get the help you need."

There are people who are embracing Anna, one saying, "You are beautiful at any size. Health is our concern. If you're healthy and happy that's all that matters! Continue to be awesome!"

Desiigner says he was kicked off a plane in Europe after a flight attendant allegedly put her hands on him -- and he's now calling for a full-on boycott of the airline ... claiming the whole ordeal was racially motivated.

The NYC rapper posted a series of videos Tuesday explaining a run-in he had on Scandinavian Airlines Monday night, where he says an older female flight attendant got touchy with him -- which caused him to "spazz" out on her and get booted from the flight.

He also says he was banned from SAS for a whole year, and goes on to call on his fans to avoid flying with them in the aftermath. Desiigner basically chalks it up to flying while black ... we'll let him explain.

As for the airline ... a rep for SAS tells us something did go down Monday night, but wouldn't elaborate beyond saying some passengers behaved in a threatening manner toward the crew, adding such behavior is unacceptable and that safety is their first priority.

Louis C.K. ruffled feathers with his last surprise set in NYC -- some audience members called his appearance an "ambush" -- but Sunday night the crowd showed him nothin' but love.

Louis was introduced at the famed Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village -- the same place he popped up in August -- and it must have felt like old times for him. The Hollywood Reporter says it got this audio of his intro ... which brought thunderous applause.

There's a lot of cheering and whistling here, and you eventually hear Louis thank everyone.
