In-N-Out is going all animal (style) on Smashburger for peddling a burger it considers triple the cheese, and double the theft ... so In-N-Out's suing.

In-N-Out just filed suit against its burger rival for allegedly jacking their double-double, triple-triple and quad-quad concepts, and tweaked it with their own version -- 3 cheese slices and 2 patties, or as they call it ... the Triple Double.

I-N-O acknowledges it didn't specifically trademark the name Triple Double -- although it claims its patrons are known to customize orders with similar terms. But in the suit, it says Smash's move is causing confusion in the marketplace and screwing with their burger biz.

We've reached out to Smash for comment ... so far, no word back.

"Pretty Little Liars" star Brandon Jones will be doing some jail time after all in his gun case, but it won't be for nearly as long as it could've been ... TMZ has learned.

The L.A. County DA tells TMZ Brandon pled no contest Monday to one count of misdemeanor assault with a firearm in his gun case from last year and was sentenced to 180 days in jail.

We broke the story ... Brandon was originally facing 5 and a half years in prison for allegedly pulling a gun on a neighbor during an argument he got into with the guy.

Brandon was also sentenced to 3 years probation, 30 days of community labor and 26 anger management classes in the plea deal.

Not even Andrew got it this bad on the show.

The gun nightmare is officially over for Buffalo Bills lineman Adolphus Washington -- who was found not guilty of improperly carrying a concealed handgun stemming from a incident at a water park.

As we previously reported, cops drew their weapons and stormed Washington's car when they saw him handling his gun while leaving a party at the Cincinnati-area waterpark on July 9.

Washington claimed he was innocently trying to put the gun away -- and wasn't trying to brandish it.

He was arrested and charged -- and Monday, the case went to a non-jury trial where he was found NOT GUILTY.

He's off the hook with the law -- but could still face discipline from the NFL.

6:20 AM PT -- A Delta official tells TMZ, the airline did NOT overbook. Mitchell was late to the airport and missed his flight, on which he had a first class ticket. Mitchell was flying standby on a later flight -- the flight in question -- and the only seat available was "comfort+." In other words, it was his fault.

The guy who played Eazy-E in "Straight Outta Compton" had a complete meltdown Sunday on a Delta flight ... because the airline double booked his seat.

TMZ obtained video of Jason Mitchell going insane after he realized someone was already sitting in his first class seat when he boarded the plane.

It's pretty wild -- you see Mitchell cussing out flight attendants and the pilot. He even calls him a "pussy" and then unleashes a bunch of "f*** yous" to everyone in earshot.

Eyewitnesses say Mitchell eventually got off the plane, but not before cops had to get involved. Law enforcement sources tell us ... Mitchell was cuffed and detained when he finally left the aircraft, but Delta refused to press charges and he was released.

We've reached out to Mitchell's reps ... so far no word back.

Webbie says he's had another incident with the woman he's accused of beating up -- but this time she's the one facing a possible arrest ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us Webbie filed a police report this week, claiming she trashed his home and jacked some of his property. According to the report, Webbie and the woman had an argument which escalated to her causing thousands of dollars in damage in his GA home.

He claims the damage includes a $10,000 sound board and 2 iPhones worth $800 and $900. She also allegedly stole a $5,000 necklace and Webbie's van keys.

As we reported, Webbie got busted last month for battery and domestic abuse after he allegedly attacked her in a hotel room.

Eric Dickerson has high hopes for his old pal O.J. Simpson when he gets out of jail later this fall ... but his highest is hittin' the green with him.

We got the NFL Hall of Famer Sunday at LAX and asked what he thought of O.J.'s imminent release after being granted parole in July ... which could see him out as early as October.

Eric makes no bones about it -- he wants O.J. to stay out of trouble this time around ... something he says he warned him about before his 2008 conviction.

Tyga had better ante up A LOT of money he owes to his old biz partner, 'cause if he doesn't ... Sheriff John Brown could come knockin' for the dough ... now more than $2 mil.

Tyga's former business associate, Chuon Guen Lee, just filed docs with L.A. County Superior Court asking a judge for an assist in collecting a $1.9 million judgment she won against him last year ... which has now ballooned to $2,148,411.

You'll recall ... Tyga was sued by Lee in 2015 for allegedly stealing their t-shirt idea for a company they were starting at the time called Last Kings. Welp, he lost that lawsuit ... and was ordered to pay up.

Lee's saying she hasn't been able to track down Tyga.. If the court signs off on her request ... Tyga might get a visit from a sheriff's deputy.

Meek Mill insists he had nothing to do with 2 people dying outside the place he performed ... and the venue claims the people suing are a bunch of racists.

The rapper filed new legal docs defending himself in a wrongful death suit filed against him ... alleging his "thug" fans incited the violence at his December concert outside the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT.

In docs obtained by TMZ, Meek calls BS on the allegation his murderous lyrics incited the violence. Live Nation, which runs the Oakdale, is also being sued -- claims the victim's family has stooped to racial stereotypes by calling the fans "thugs."

As we reported ... a hail of bullets killed 2 and injured 2 outside the Oakdale Theatre.

Sofia Vergara just got a huge W in her frozen embryo battle with her ex -- a judge dismissed the case, saying Nick Loeb had no business suing her in Louisiana ... TMZ has learned.

According to docs, the judge said the court had no jurisdiction because the embryos were conceived in California, and neither parent has any permanent ties to the state. Sofia shot a movie there in 2014. Nick claimed they'd dated and planned their life together in the state, but the court didn't buy that.

In the docs, the judge noted Loeb probably only filed in Louisiana because of its favorable laws pertaining to the rights of unborn children ... but there's no getting around the whole jurisdiction issue.

The judge actually called the pre-embryos "citizens of California" ... and said weighing in on the case would require a potential constitutional evaluation over the embryos' rights.

As we reported ... Sofia filed docs in February asking the court to end the embryo war.

"Teen Mom 3" star Briana DeJesus' baby daddy let a little thing like a weed citation snowball into a warrant for his arrest ... all 'cause he never showed up in court.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Devoin Austin was arrested Friday in Orange County, FL on an arrest warrant that was issued way back in August 2016.

The warrant stems from a traffic stop when cops cited Devoin for possession of weed and drug paraphernalia. He was supposed to be arraigned a month later, but never appeared -- hence, the warrant.

He could've gotten up to a year in jail or $1,000 fine for the original misdemeanor.

Loredana Nesci's boyfriend has been found guilty of murdering the lawyer-turned-reality star ... this after she was found stabbed to death in her home 2 years ago.

A jury found 53-year-old Robert Brian Reagan guilty Friday of second-degree murder after he was arrested in connection to her death in 2015, when she was found dead at their home in Redondo Beach. They spent about a week deliberating after a 2 week trial.

The couple had gotten into a domestic dispute, which led to her being stabbed to death with a hunting knife.

Reagan claimed her death was an accident. During the trial, Reagan's defense team argued she'd impaled herself on the knife after the couple had gotten into a physical struggle. The prosecution said he did it purposely to avoid a custody battle over their 5-year-old son.

Nesci was the star of her own show on Sundance TV, "Loredana, Esq." ... which ran for a season back in 2014. Nesci had represented a lot of celebrity clients, including wrestling legend Scott Hall.

She was 47.

The family of R. Kelly's alleged captive, Joycelyn Savage, is desperate to see her this weekend while he's in Atlanta, but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

Gerald Griggs -- the attorney for Joycelyn's family -- tells TMZ ... they've reached out to Kelly multiple times to coordinate a meeting between her and her parents. The singer's performing Friday night, and Griggs says Joycelyn's family believes she travels with him on his tour bus.

We're told the family thinks this might be their only chance to see their daughter face-to-face for a long time ... considering the current allegations. They're asking for the meeting to go down at Griggs' office, a hotel, or another neutral place. They want a private meeting ... without Kelly or his assistants present.

Although protests against Kelly are set to go down outside Wolf Creek Amphitheater ... we're told the Savages won't be participating.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's former boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is walking away clean from his domestic violence arrest.

Prosecutors in Florida say they dropped all the charges because his girlfriend was no longer cooperating with investigators, and made it clear she did not want him prosecuted.

She was the only witness, so without her prosecutors felt there was no chance of convicting Gordon.

TMZ broke the story ... Gordon was arrested in June for domestic violence. His girlfriend initially told police Nick punched her during an argument following a night out at a bar. We obtained photos of her alleged injuries.

The arrest also caught the attention of police in Georgia ... who are still investigating Gordon in connection with Bobbi Kristina's death.

Colin Kaepernick has another powerful ally ... Dave Chappelle.

In fact, the comedian wore a shirt supporting the embattled QB on the way into his big stand-up show Thursday night at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

The shirts were being given out by the NAACP at the Kaepernick rally in front of NFL headquarters on Wednesday ... unclear if Chappelle was there or got a shirt after the fact.

Chappelle wore a different shirt onstage for the performance -- but made sure people saw it on the way inside.

Bill Nye the Science Guy is having a bad reaction to his old TV partners at Disney, which is why he's suing them for $9 million!

Bill filed docs Thursday in L.A., saying Disney -- which marketed and distributed his show -- cut him a check in 2008 for back-end profits. The check was for $585k, but a couple months later he says Disney drastically changed it's story ... and claimed he needed to return $496,000!

According to the docs, Disney told Bill it made an accounting error, and informed him he wouldn't get any future checks until it recouped the $496k.

All of this made Bill suspicious, and he called for an audit of Disney's book in 2016. In the docs, Bill says the auditor found he'd been shorted by $9.3 mil since signing his deal in 1993.

Bill's now retained attorneys at Hamrick & Evans to get his dough. We reached out to Disney, but no word back.

Mel B is accusing her ex of putting media exposure ahead of their children's well-being, and now she wants her legal battle with him sealed from the public.

Mel filed docs asking the court to seal her ongoing domestic violence case against Stephen Belafonte because it's attracting so much media attention, it's harming her kids.

Mel says reporters and photographers are waiting whenever she drops off their daughter to visit Stephen, and suspects he's alerting media to the visitation schedule. She says, "While [Stephen] may enjoy the media attention, the minor child of this marriage did not ask to be placed in the center of this mounting storm."

Sources connected to Belafonte tell us he absolutely denies exploiting the case or giving the media a heads up.

In the docs, Mel also says testifying about the alleged abuse in open court would be "further abuse" against her.

A hearing's set for next month for the judge to decide whether to seal the case.
