While Viola Davis was teaching us how to get away with murder on TV, would-be burglars were attempting a break-in at her real-life home ... TMZ has learned.

We're told that Viola and her husband, Julius Tennon, were fast asleep in their bedroom on the second floor, when they were awakened by the sound of glass breaking ... glass from a door in their bedroom!

Turns out the burglars climbed a ladder to the second floor and jumped on the balcony that was off the master.

The couple flipped on the lights and that sent the prowlers running. When police arrived, the bad guys were long gone. But cops have a lead ... surveillance video shows three men wearing hoodies and gloves.

Same old story ... cops still say celebs aren't being specifically targeted, even though Viola joins a long list of stars who have been hit in 2018 alone.

7:04 PM PT -- Jamie's rep tells TMZ ... "All of these allegations are completely unfounded and we believe part of a targeted extortion scheme." The rep claims "Anthony Oliver has a history of filing lawsuits, and has filed 27 federal lawsuits in the past 8 years."

"Melrose Place" star Jamie Luner has been sued for allegedly seducing a 16-year-old boy into a sexual act, and according to the lawsuit he was not her only victim. And ... he's suing for $250 million.

Anthony Oliver claims back in 1998, he attended a house party thrown by Luner to celebrate the success of the show. He ended up at the party because Luner's makeup artist knew Anthony's brother and the makeup artist developed a crush on Anthony.

Anthony says Luner saw him and called him "adorable." He says Luner asked if he wanted a drink, and he said he was only 16 but she had the makeup artist pour Anthony a Jack and coke. They drank and talked for 3 hours, went to her room, and he says she removed a small plastic bag of crystal meth from her purse.

He says she told him, "It's going to make you real horny." He protested using the drug but instead asked for 2 Tylenols, which he says was laced with the crystal meth. His head began spinning and he says he became sexually aroused.

The makeup guy told Luner, who was 26, to go to her room and put on her kitty cat outfit and went to a couch, and he says she began licking his neck, chest and arms and removed his belt, underwear and socks.

He says she performed oral sex on him and took his penis out of her mouth and put it in the mouth of the makeup artist. He claims he ended up having sex with Luner multiple times, and claims she said, "come bend me over the couch and ram me."

And there's this ... the plaintiff's brother had left the party, and when he returned he recorded Anthony and Luner having sex.

Anthony says the experience messed up his life. The lawsuit says, "Plaintiff is left not knowing if he is attracted to men, women or both." He blames the experience for turning him into an alcoholic.

According to the lawsuit, various young men came forward to the LAPD, claiming they were also sexually assaulted by Luner. He says 2 other men accused her of drug-induced sex.

He's suing for sexual battery and emotional distress.

Anthony has already filed a police report.

We've reached out to Luner's rep ... so far, no word back.

Ed Sheeran's not taking another lawsuit accusing him of ripping off music without fighting back ... and he insists there's ZERO evidence he stole when he wrote a hit for Tim McGraw.

In January, Ed got sued over "The Rest of Our Life" ... the Ed-penned tune that was a huge hit last year for Tim and Faith Hill. Sean Carey and Beau Golden think Sheeran jacked their melody for a 2014 song -- "When I Found You" -- that they wrote for Jasmine Rae.

On Monday, Ed fired back with his own docs ... denying there's any similarity in the sound of the songs. He admits he never sought Carey and Golden's permission because "The Rest of Our Life" is an "originally and independently created musical composition."

He calls their claim baseless, and wants the judge to back him up ... by tossing the whole lawsuit.

The judge has yet to decide, but take a listen to the songs ... and make your own ruling.

Ed's been down this road -- back in 2016, he was sued by a co-writer of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" ... who claimed Ed's hit, "Thinking Out Loud" was a carbon copy.

President Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, insists Stormy Daniels has NO right to drag him or the Prez into court over the "hush" agreement, and he's got that in black and white.

Cohen filed new docs asking the judge to move Stormy's lawsuit from federal court into arbitration ... because he says that's exactly what Stormy agreed to do. Cohen says it's part of the very agreement she's suing to get nullified.

In the docs, Cohen says the ex-porn star herself has admitted to signing the deal in Oct. 2016, and accepting the $130k payment. Although she's making hay about Trump not signing it, Cohen says the document is binding between Stormy and Essential Consultants -- the company Cohen set up to pay her the cash.

The guy who was busted for hounding Taylor Swift all over Texas is getting off with probation -- but for a long time, with several strings attached.

Frank Andrew Hoover was busted in 2016 after he showed up at one of her gigs in Austin. Prosecutors say he'd also been sending terrifying emails to Taylor's father, including one where he threatened to "end" her whole family. Taylor already had a protective order against him at the time.

Hoover pled guilty to repeatedly violating the order, and Monday he was sentenced to 10 years probation. Additionally, his whereabouts will be monitored by GPS for at least the first year. He has to stay a mile away from Taylor and her family.

Hoover also has to complete psychological testing, and attend substance abuse classes, surrender all firearms and undergo random drug testing.

DMX got bad news from the judge in his tax evasion case ... he's going to be a lot lighter in the wallet -- like more than $2 mil lighter.

X will have to fork over $2.3 million in restitution to Uncle Sam. The judge is allowing him to pay in monthly installments of 10% of his gross monthly income started 2 months after he gets sprung from the big house.

And, speaking of the big house, the judge is recommending that the rapper serve his 1 year at the Danbury Federal Correctional Facility ... the prison that became the inspiration for "Orange is the New Black." It's also where Teresa Giudice served her time.

Kendra Wilkinson says she and NFL star husband Hank Baskett are officially no more in an emotional video.

Wilkinson posted several videos Monday after rumors swirled in recent months of ongoing issues in their relationship that signaled a split was imminent.

She also broke down in tears on video recounting her time with Hank, saying she'll always love him and, "I did everything I could."

She and Hank have 2 kids together -- 8-year-old Hank IV, and 3-year-old Alijah. The couple got hitched in 2009 at the Playboy Mansion -- with Hugh Hefner and her other 'Girls Next Door' castmates in attendance. When we saw Kendra last week in Calabasas, she tried to keep a positive outlook ... but she was, pretty obviously, stressed.

Meek Mill will remain locked up for the time being, because the judge in his case just shut down his bid to be released on bail.

Judge Genece Brinkley didn't give reasons for her decision, but it came amidst pressure to open the prison doors for the rapper ... who has been in prison since November for a probation violation. Meek's team has argued Judge Brinkley is biased and bears a grudge against him.

Meek's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, tells TMZ, "This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill's case into a personal vendetta."

Tacopina goes on ... "In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham's perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented."

In docs, Judge Brinkley defends herself ... saying there's NO reason for her to recuse herself from the case. She says there's "zero evidence" she ever asked Meek to give her a shout out in a song, as Meek's team has repeatedly claimed.

She also defends Meek's 2-4 year sentence, saying it was his 5th probation violation, he'd admitted drug use and failed to adhere to travel protocol.

Jared Fogle wants a ton of cash from the judges and prosecutors who sent to him to prison for child pornography ... TMZ has learned.

Fogle's failed to get out of prison with a slew of motions he's filed in the last year, but now he's going for the financial jugular instead -- saying federal prosecutors did him wrong when they charged him with conspiracy to receive pictures of minors.

Fogle's taken issue with this charge ... it was the basis of most of his failed appeals. He's now teamed up with 2 other inmates to file this civil suit against prosecutors.

Ex-USC quarterback Todd Marinovich is back in jail after getting arrested twice in 4 days in March.

48-year-old Marinovich -- who has a long history of substance abuse -- was arrested on March 19 (he was released the same day) AND March 23. According to jail records, he's still behind bars.

It's unclear why Marinovich was arrested ... however, in March '17, the former star QB was sentenced to a year probation for an August '16 incident where TM was caught wandering naked in a random person's backyard -- with meth and weed in his possession.

As we reported, Marinovich sought help ... and seemed to be sober and doing well.

In fact, when we spoke with Todd back in April 2017, he told us he was fighting like hell to stay clean for the sake of his kids.

"I've been running [from my addiction] for years and it definitely came a time, especially after the arrest, the humiliation that that brought, the self-loathing that I was feeling, where I was finally willing to do the things necessary to get better."

Stan Lee's former business associate is like a vampire ... he literally sucked the blood out of Stan's body -- well, not exactly literally, but close.

Here's what we're told. The businessman went to Stan's personal nurse back in October with a forged document giving him authority to order a blood sample from the Marvel maven. Our sources claim he told the nurse to fill several vials and she obliged. We're told she took so much Stan became dizzy.

No one from Stan's camp had a clue the samples were taken, but we're told his friend and partner, Keya Morgan, recently discovered the possible foul play. We're told Stan's people believe the former business associate has commissioned pens -- presumably linked to Stan and Marvel -- and the pens have an ink substitute ... blood!!!

Stan's peeps believe the business associate plans to sell the pens for a fortune, and they want to put a stop to it STAT. So Stan's team has hired attorney Jonathan Freund to get to the bottom of the alleged plasma plot and not only file a lawsuit, but a police report as well.

Stan's team believes the former business associate also pilfered $300k from the comic legend. And they also believe the guy bought an $850k condo with Stan's money.

Gwen Stefani's already mastered "The Voice" and now it looks like she's moving on to the face with her own line of cosmetics.

Gwen's applied to trademark P8NT -- as in "paint" -- for her own makeup line. It's a clever name considering it'll include everything from nail polishes to hair color, in addition to the usual eyeliners, powders and lipsticks. Perfumes, moisturizers and sunscreens are also in the mix.

The Weeknd's lawyers want the real "Starboy" to please stand up -- as Eminem might put it -- 'cause they say it's definitely not the dude who's trying to jack the handle.

The singer's company has filed docs opposing Eymun Talasazan's attempt to trademark "Starboy," and they're accusing him of some serious shadiness.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Eymun is just trying to hitch his star to Abel's success -- which is why he filed his "Starboy" trademark, for use on TV projects, AFTER Weeknd's 2016 hit single and album by the same name.

And get this ... 11 days after Weeknd and Marvel Comics announced a "Starboy" comic book -- Eymun filed another trademark for comic books.

Paul Marciano says he'll be exonerated because he knows something Kate Upton might not ... a story's about to come out that'll prove she lied when she claimed he sexually assaulted her.

We got the Guess co-founder out in Bev Hills Friday and wanted to get his take on Kate and her witness refusing to cooperate with an investigation by the Guess Board of Directors.

You'll recall Kate alleged Paul groped her breasts and thighs during their first meeting.

Paul says he's not surprised and says in a few days a Time Inc. article will prove him innocent with clear documentation.

Swizz Beatz is going to bat for DMX, saying the rapper's manning up and facing his trials and tribulations ... and he deserves respect.

Sources close to the hip-hop producer tell TMZ ... his support for DMX is unwavering and has been there long before the tax evasion case. We're told Swizz plans to visit DMX in prison and send him all the positive energy he can muster.

We're also told the 2 were working on a music project together that's obviously hit some snags, but when X is released after his 1-year sentence ... it's go-time, and they plan to finish the album.

Our sources say Swizz also went out of his way to speak on DMX's behalf to officials involved in his federal tax case, trying to convince them he's a good guy with human problems. S.B. is following in the footsteps of X's manager and Jayson Williams, who have also gone to bat for the rapper.

11:00 AM PT -- Fabolous' longtime attorney Alberto Ebanks tells TMZ ... "This is only an argument. There certainly is no crime being committed. If what you see in the video were a crime, we'd have to build more jails."

TMZ has obtained video of Fabolous flying into an absolute rage at his baby mama Emily B, and her father, all while brandishing a sharp object and leveling threats about shooting them.

The video was shot on Wednesday evening in the driveway of Fab and Emily's Englewood, NJ home -- and the rapper's bodyguard is attempting to hold him back as he yells at Emily and her father. At one point he asks Emily why her dad is even there -- her dad yells back, "That's my motherf***ing daughter" and calls Fabolous a coward.

This is the incident that prompted police to respond to the home, and Fabolous to turn himself in Wednesday night. TMZ broke the story ... he was arrested and booked for aggravated assault and making a terroristic threat.

In the video, Emily is clearly trying to record Fabolous, which further enraged him. He lunged at her a couple of times with the object in his hand, and she quickly retreated while screaming. You can also hear a child crying ... which could be one of Emily and Fab's 2 kids inside the house.

As we reported, Emily told police she'd sent a family member to the house to remove 2 handguns she feared Fab would use against her when he got home. The video shows Fabolous telling Emily's father he has a bullet with his name on it.
