Dr. Conrad Murray -- Life Is a Carnival
Long before he may or may not have been responsible for the death of Michael Jackson, Dr. Conrad Murray was just another guy enjoying Carnival in Trinidad.
These photos were take in 2005 during a two-week trip to Trinidad and Tobago. He was down there with a few of his close guy friends -- and a few attractive female friends as well.
Michael Jackson Fun Fact: Right around the time these photos were taken, Michael Jackson's second child molestation case was beginning.

Kobe Bryant Exercises Image Control
Kobe Bryant chose not to mix with scantily-clad women last night, and the night club that threw the shindig he was scheduled to host is pissed.
As we first reported, Bryant was splashed all over a poster promoting a party at Bacy's and sponsored by a magazine that features barely-clothed women.
Bryant, who you may remember had a little problem in Colorado a few years back, has done such a good job of rehabilitating his image -- the whole thing was a conundrum.
Kobe would never comment on the hosting gig, but the club insisted it had a signed contract. But when we arrived last night, there were signs posted saying Kobe would not be appearing ... the promoter and the patrons were none too pleased.
The sign read: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, Mr. Kobe Bryant will not be in attendance tonight. No refund beyond this point."
BTW -- the photo above shows Bryant sitting courtside at the Slam Dunk contest in Dallas last night.

Brittany Murphy Foundation -- No Charity Here
The Brittany Murphy Foundation is a foundation in name alone -- because according to state and federal records, it does not exist.
The foundation -- launched by Brittany's widower Simon Monjack and her mom Sharon Murphy -- has been touted as a charity dedicated to arts education for children, and has been soliciting funds through a website since last month.
TMZ has discovered, however, the foundation is not registered as a charity with the IRS or the state of California, as required by law.
The California Secretary of State's office told TMZ there are no records for The Brittany Murphy Foundation. The state Attorney General's office also has no record of the organization as a nonprofit group -- and the IRS says the foundation has not filed for a non-profit license.
By law, any foundation soliciting money has to disclose the fact that it is not registered as a nonprofit.
On Friday afternoon, the Brittany Murphy foundation website did not have any such disclosure. The site was taken "down for maintenance" one hour after TMZ called the foundation for comment.
The foundation spokeswoman at Larkin Rivero Management -- where donations were directed to be mailed -- had no comment.
Monjack did not respond to our e-mail.

A "Jersey Shore" star is at the center of an internal police investigation in New York, this according to law enforcement.
TMZ has learned the Nassau County Police Department is looking into a tip they received regarding access to J-WOWW's personal information.
It's unclear who or what investigators are looking into -- but cops did confirm that the investigation began after someone filed a complaint on J-WOWW's behalf.
So far, no comment from J-WOWW's people.

Joe Francis Off the Hook for $33 Million Tax Bill
Joe Francis no longer owes Uncle Sam $33 million in back taxes, which is news ... to Joe Francis.
As TMZ first reported, Joe was fighting the IRS over the $33 million tax lien they slapped against him this past November. Joe sued to get the government over it and, lo and behold, he won -- which came as great news to Joe.
When we called Joe for comment, he said, "Really? I paid it?"
After a little digging, Joe called us back and said he "thinks" the lien was just released (meaning the government dropped it) -- but that he didn't actually pay anything.
Must be nice to not even know if you just shelled out $33 million to the federal government.

Selena Gomez Fans Injured in Escalator Mishap
Being a fan of Selena Gomez can be hazardous to your health -- just ask the people who showed up to see her at a mall event in Massachusetts.
Police and firefighters had to be called to the Emerald Square Mall on Saturday when an escalator stopped short, sending several fans flying. Five people were injured, three of which were transported to the hospital.
Gomez was at the mall for a Q&A put on by a local radio station.
Tila Tequila Rushed to Hospital
Tila Tequila made a call to paramedics last night after she fell off her chair and "dented" her head -- her words, not ours.
Since Tila tweets her every moment, she provided her own play-by-play of the accident. Tila first said she fell off her chair and "slammed my head into the wall and heard the back of my skull crack. theres a dent in it now!"
Shortly thereafter, Tila recalled the tragic events of Natasha Richardson (but not her name) when she tweeted: "I should call the ambulance just in case? like that one actress that died cuz she hit her head &thought she was ok but died later..pray 4 me."
Tila's next entry: "Ambulance on the way to my house. I could have a brain concussion and die ina few hours."
Tila's agent provided the final tweet of the night, saying Tila suffered a concussion and wouldn't be able to tweet any further updates. Tila was released from the hospital and returned home last night.
Ex-Power Ranger Wants to Fight Van Damme
Jean-Claude Van Damme -- the most badass fighting sensation of the 90s -- just got challenged to an MMA fight by a guy who used to fight puppets in spandex ... all over an incident from 15 years ago.
The guy issuing the challenge is former White Ranger Jason David Frank, who tells TMZ, he's had it out for Van Damme ever since 1995 when the Muscles from Brussels -- who had been Frank's childhood hero -- allegedly blew him off during the premiere of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie."
As TMZ previously reported, Frank is now a scary-looking MMA fighter who has a fight next weekend in the Octagon -- and Van Damme is reportedly looking to make his own pro fighting debut ... so the timing couldn't be better for Frank to settle the score.
Frank claims he'll take Van Damme "anytime, anyplace, anywhere" -- and "if [Van Damme's] too scared to come into the Octagon, I'll even take him on in a kickboxing match."
So far, no comment from Van Damme's camp.

John Daly Pees Off at Pebble Beach???
John Daly may have created his own water hazard at the previously prestigious Pebble Beach golf course Thursday -- when it appeared that he pulled out a club of his own and took a leak in the rough.
After Daly took care of business in the bushes, he was later seen giving a little fist bump to his tournament partner Tony Romo.
Ain't that a pisser.

'Spider-Man' Creator in Sticky Legal Situation
Stan Lee -- who created some of the most popular comic book characters in history -- has just been drawn into a nasty lawsuit ... and now he's gonna have to suit up against some of the most powerful lawyers on Planet Earth.
Lee is being sued by lawyers from the firm of Lavely & Singer -- who claim since 2007, the "Spider-Man" and "X-Men" creator has been refusing to pay them for a bunch of legal work they were doing for him.
The lawsuit, penned by the imaginative layers from L & S, starts off like this: "Similar to the flawed comic book super-heros he created, Stan Lee has demonstrated his own flaws by his failure to honor his agreements."
L & S are looking to punish Stan for his alleged evil deeds -- and are suing him for an undetermined amount.
Paula Abdul -- Stern 'Hates' American Idol, But ...
Paula Abdul finally declared her opinion on the Howard Stern situation this morning .... but moments after taking a stand, the former "American Idol" judge seemed to flip-flop worse than John Kerry.
It all went down when Paula was on her way in to a radio interview in Phoenix, Arizona when a cameraman -- not ours -- asked what she thought of Stern possibly taking over for Simon Cowell.
Paula's reply: "I don't think that's gonna happen ... I don't know ... funnier things happen."
When the cameraman asked why Stern would be qualified for the gig, Abdul responded, "He hates the show ... I don't even know why ... He doesn't hate a hundred million though."
FYI -- Simon is only reportedly making about $50 mil a season.

Jersey Star to Cops: Hacker Could Break My Bank
Another "Jersey Shore" star is asking the cops for help -- claiming a computer hacker may have stolen her secret bank information when the cyber-thief busted into her Facebook and email accounts.
TMZ has learned Angelina Pivarnick filed an incident report with the NYPD yesterday, claiming all of her bank account information was stashed in emails that the bad guy had access to.
Angelina's manager tells us cops instructed Pivarnick to change all of her information as soon as she could -- which she did -- and fortunately for her, not one cent was taken.
In other words, her tanning budget remains as bloated as ever.

Shaq Snowed Out of His Own Party
Shaquille O'Neal was supposed to host a party last night in Dallas for NBA All-Star Weekend -- that is, until the biggest blizzard in the city's history got in the way.
TMZ spoke to a manager of Aura Nightclub in uptown Dallas who told us that before Shaq arrived at the club, the record-setting snowfall blew out some electrical transformers ... leaving everyone standing in the dark.
We're told O'Neal's people were already at the club when the lights went out and decided that between the heavy snowfall ... and the complete and utter darkness ... it'd be best if Shaq didn't roll in.
But the good news: The Cleveland Cavaliers' big man is set to host a party at Aura tonight as well ... pending the presence of electrical power.

Dr. Conrad Murray Impostor Exposed
There is someone pretending to be Dr. Conrad Murray -- asking his fans for prayers and support -- but TMZ has learned it's a fraud.
Just one day after the real Dr. Murray appeared in court to face an involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of Michael Jackson, a person using a Twitter account under the name DrConradMurray left the following message:
"Please consider that I too am a father, do not judge or condemn me until you have walked in my shoes. Please pray for my family"
But it's all a hoax: TMZ spoke to a rep for Dr. Murray's lawyer who told us, "It is 100 percent fake. He doesn't even have a smart phone."

Stripper: I'm Not Preggo w/ Josh Duhamel's Baby
The stripper who reportedly said she was pregnant with Josh Duhamel's baby is lashing out against the reports -- claiming there's definitely no bun in her oven.
The woman, Nicole Forrester, claims she's been bombarded with questions since the story surfaced earlier this week -- but Forrester insists, "I am not pregnant."
Forrester adds, "Apparently, because of mistakes I made in the past they feel I'm fair game and can print whatever lies they want just to sell magazines – I want this to stop now."
She continues, "This has not only hurt me but other innocent parties, including my children, who have to deal with the bully tactics of other children – that is not fair."
Duhamel has previously denied having any sort of relationship with Forrester.

'Deadliest Catch' Captain -- Tribute at Sea
Captain Phil Harris is receiving the most distinguished honor he never wanted to get -- a makeshift memorial at a spot dedicated to great fallen fisherman.
Ever since the "Deadliest Catch" star passed away earlier this week -- friends, family and fans have created a shrine in the Skipper's memory at the Seattle Fishermans' Memorial in Washington, just miles from Phil's home.
So far, we're told the family is still working on funeral arrangements.
