THE WORLD HATES ME

"Love Is Blind" star Carlton Morton says he's getting some much-needed therapy after a 911 call from his home following his cry for help over social media.

We got Carlton at Drip Coffee Shop in Atlanta Thursday and our guy asked how he's holding up after catching tons of flak online, and a very public meltdown.

As you know ... Carlton's claim to fame on "Love Is Blind" is not telling Diamond he was bisexual until AFTER they got engaged, leading to an epic spat.

Authorities tell TMZ ... someone at Carlton's Atlanta home called 911 for a non-life threatening injury hours after his scary social media post, and he was transported to a hospital. Carlton tells us someone wanted to check up on him.

Carlton says he's seeing a therapist in hopes of improving his mental health and tells us he's getting death threats on the daily, and feels like the world hates him.

Carlton has lots of regrets, and he's second-guessing a bunch of decisions ... from how he showed Diamond his true colors, to even going on the reality show in the first place.

Carlton's also got a message for his fans, and for his haters.

Demi Lovato Addresses OD, Wilmer Engagement In 'I Love Me' Music Vid

Published | Updated

Demi Lovato is sending a message about 2 major events in her life -- one involving her ex-BF, Wilmer Valderrama -- but you're gonna have to watch her upcoming music vid very closely to get her point.

TMZ got a not-yet-seen snippet from her "I Love Me" vid, and we noticed a clear reference to the near-fatal overdose she suffered back in the summer of 2018. Demi walks past a parked ambulance and reaches out to touch a young woman on a stretcher.

The lyrics of 'Love Me' are all about self-love and empowerment, and the ambulance scene appears to be an illustration of what she's said in recent interviews: She's pulled through after the OD, and anyone else in her situation can do the same.

The Wilmer reference is more of an Easter egg. Watch for the shot of a bride and groom running across the street, right in front of Demi. Remember, Wilmer -- who dated Demi from 2010 to 2016 -- just got engaged in January to model Amanda Pacheco.

Demi's point here seems to be she's cool with Wilmer moving on because, again, she's got self-love to get her through. Remember, she and Wilmer remained close. He visited her frequently in the hospital during her recovery.

"I Love Me" drops on Friday, and we wouldn't be surprised if it's filled with a few more subtle messages.

Alex Trebek I Almost Gave Up on Life ... During My Cancer Treatment

Published | Updated
Alex Trebek
I WON'T STOP FIGHTING

Alex Trebek says he almost gave up on life during his battle with cancer, but he's glad he didn't and is celebrating a huge milestone.

The beloved "Jeopardy!" host just gave an update on his health, and there's good news. The one-year survival rate for stage 4 pancreatic cancer is only 18%, but Alex just crossed the 1-year mark!!!

He says he's had good days and bad days and joked that he tells friends the cancer won't kill him but the chemo probably will. He says he's experienced great pain and many of his bodily functions went haywire.

Most ominous ... Alex says he had extreme bouts of depression during his treatments "that made me wonder if it was really worth fighting on." Scary words, but he says he realized giving up on life would be a betrayal to his wife, God and other cancer patients.

As you know ... Trebek is in the midst of the fight of his life, battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Last May, Alex revealed his tumors had shrunk by more than 50 percent, and in September he announced he was undergoing more chemotherapy.

Though the past year's been incredibly trying, he's been hanging in there and fulfilling his hosting duties as planned ... possibly better than ever too.

This included January's 'Greatest of All Time' tournament, which really seemed to lift his spirits, and he's showing no signs of slowing down.

In fact, our "Jeopardy!" sources tell us tickets to the show to see Alex are so hot right now ... they're booked up through April.

Trebek's also been staying busy away from the game show -- he just donated $100k to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission to help out with L.A.'s homelessness crisis.

As for the future ... Alex says the 2-year survival rate is only 7%, but his oncologist told him he's sure a year from now the two would be celebrating.

NO DAMAGE TO THE EYE
UPDATE

"He felt the skate blade get his eye," Lamoriello said Wednesday morning. "But, fortunately, it just got the eyelid. It took 90 stitches to fix. A plastic surgeon took care of it."

UPDATE

Lou added, "He'll be fine. It's just a matter of time, with the eye opening up and him feeling good."

WARNING: THIS IS TERRIFYING!!

New York Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk was kicked in the face with a skate Tuesday night ... and the scene was scary as hell.

Boychuck was skating by his crease in the 3rd period of the Isles' game against the Canadians in Brooklyn ... when Habs winger Artturi Lehkonen lost his balance in front of him and kicked backward.

You can see in video of the incident ... the blade of Lehkonen's skate caught Boychuck flush in the face -- and he immediately crumpled in serious pain.

The cut was so bad ... Boychuk didn't even wait for trainers to get to him on the ice before he bolted off -- and after the game, Islanders coach Barry Trotz sounded VERY concerned for his 36-year-old D-man.

"No update on Johnny Boychuk," Trotz told reporters. "It's pretty scary obviously around the facial/eye area. He's being evaluated."

There is some positive news, however ... Johnny's older brother, David Boychuk, posted on Twitter, "A few extra zips but sounds like he should hire someone else to do his eyebrows from now on."

David added, "Really tough to see a loved one involved in a scary moment like tonight. Thankful for the big guy looking out for JB tonight."

As for the game ... the Islanders lost, 6-2 -- but team captain Anders Lee told reporters all he cared about was Johnny's health.

"I think that’s where all our minds are right now for sure."

'Bachelorette' Alum Chad Johnson Ex-GF Says He's Out to Ruin Her Life ... Refuses Accountability

Published | Updated

Ex-'Bachelorette' star Chad Johnson followed up a trip to the hospital for an evaluation by going on a smear campaign against his ex-girlfriend packed full of lies ... so says the ex herself.

Annalise Mishler says her ordeal with Chad's one of the most difficult things she's ever been through ... but it's being made way worse because he simply refuses to take responsibility for his behavior over the past 2 weeks.

Now, Mishler claims Johnson's out to ruin her life by posting false allegations to make himself look and feel better and make her look worse ... but she says it's very clear he's lying.

If you're unfamiliar, let's backtrack -- Chad was arrested for domestic violence and robbery last week after he allegedly got physical with Annalise. He addressed the situation the following day, admitting to getting angry and punching a hole in the wall -- which was seen on video -- but denying he'd put hands on her while also apologizing.

However, he followed that up days later with a concerning social media post depicting what looked like a makeshift hanging contraption, with the caption, "it'll be okay." The post sparked suicide fears and a welfare check ... and he was taken to a hospital for further evaluation less than 24 hours later after more troubling posts.

One of them included unfounded claims directed at Annalise, which ended with him writing, "All you had to do was hug me. You destroyed my life and it didn't even workout for you."

Johnson also made a YouTube video listing all the ways Mishler wronged him, essentially blaming her for his issues. She posted a response calling his vid "the most bizarre smear campaign attempt i've ever seen" and textbook manipulation.

Annalise feels he simply needs to be accountable for how he acts when he drinks and stop lying. She also has some advice for other people who are in a relationship and see red flags.

Tampa Bay Rays Prospect Suffered Facial Fractures ... After Foul Ball Hit Him

Published
UPDATE

12:42 PM PT -- 3/3 Rays manager Kevin Cash just updated reporters Tuesday on Whitley's status, and it's not good for the outfielder ...

UPDATE

"Multiple facial fractures," Cash said.

UPDATE

The manager added there's no timetable to return for Whitley, who will see additional specialists on how to proceed with the injury.

Garrett Whitley -- a former MLB first-round pick and current Rays farmhand-- was forced to go to the hospital Monday after he was terrifyingly struck in the face by a foul ball.

During the Tampa Bay Rays vs. Baltimore Orioles spring training game ... O's third baseman Renato Nunez uncorked a foul ball that beelined straight at Whitley.

The Tampa Bay outfielder -- who was at one time considered one of the game's best prospects -- was unable to move out of the way ... and took the ball right near his eye.

You can see in video of the at-bat ... 22-year-old Whitley immediately crumpled and required medical attention.

After the game, Rays manager said Whitley was diagnosed with a facial injury ... and was forced to go to the hospital to undergo further testing.

"[During initial tests] his eyes were moving fine," Cash told reporters. "He stayed coherent the whole time. That was pretty scary."

Whitley was drafted with the No. 13 overall pick by the Rays in 2015 ... but he's struggled to live up to expectations, batting just .236 in his minor league career.

'ER' Actress Vanessa Marquez Cops Release Body Cam Footage ... in Fatal Shooting

Published | Updated
Vanessa Marquez
"DROP THE GUN!"

Cops repeatedly warned "ER" actress Vanessa Marquez to put down a gun before they opened fire -- and the incredibly tense scene plays out in this bodycam footage police just released.

In the video, from August 2018, cops entered Vanessa's South Pasadena home to do a welfare check. She was laying in bed, and said she had just suffered a seizure ... but was refusing to go to a hospital.

A mental health clinician spoke to her for about 30 minutes, and then cops told Vanessa they were placing her on a 5150 psychiatric hold because she was a danger to herself and others. Vanessa refused to cooperate, and pulled out a pair of scissors and a gun ... prompting officers to draw their weapons while retreating from her room.

As the cops barked orders for her to drop the gun, Vanessa yelled back, "Kill me." Moments later, she walks downstairs with the gun pointing in the cops' direction and that's when they fired 12 shots. Cops recovered her weapon ... which turned out to be a replica.

As we reported ... her landlord had called police, saying he was worried about the actress' well being. After her encounter with cops, Vanessa was rushed to the hospital where she died. The D.A.'s Office found the officers acted appropriately because they "actually and reasonably believed Marquez posed an imminent threat of great bodily injury or death."

At the time, authorities had said Vanessa -- who played Wendy Goldman on "ER" -- was suffering from an eating disorder which is what triggered her seizures..

Vanessa was on "ER" from 1994 to 1997. Some of her other credits included "Stand and Deliver" and "Twenty Bucks." She was 49.
