Kentucky State Police Hitler, Robert E. Lee Quotes Used for Training ... Imploring Cops to Use Violence

Published | Updated

Kentucky State Police used to train their cadets with inspiration from 2 infamous leaders ... Robert E. Lee and Adolf Hitler.

One of the training slides had the title, "Violence of Action," and instructed cops to be "ruthless killer[s]," like Robert E. Lee and imploring officers to have, "a mindset void of emotion" and to "meet violence with greater violence," like Hitler.

And, there's more ... another training slide reads, "The very first essential for success is a perpetually constant and regular employment of violence." That is from Hitler's "Mein Kampf" manifesto. The Dept. then linked to a Hitler page on Goodreads. There are 3 quotes from Hitler in the training program.

A spokesperson for the Dept. says the slides were removed back in 2013, adding, "Our administration does not condone the use of this material."

Kentucky has been reeling for months in the wake of the Breonna Taylor killing, where Kentucky State Police have been involved in handling the various protests.

Manual RedEye, a Louisville high school student newspaper, was the first to unearth the quotes.

Justin Bieber Wraps Video Shoot ... Emerges in Just His Boxer Briefs!!!

Published | Updated

Justin Bieber was burning the midnight oil for a new music video -- and it looks like the guy scorched off his pants in the process ... plus the rest of his clothes, sans underwear.

The Biebs was filming Friday in DTLA, where we're told he and the crew had been pulling an all-nighter that had gotten started even earlier in the day. Basically, it was a beast of a shoot -- and you can tell by the way Justin celebrated after they presumably wrapped.

As you can see ... Justin emerged from the main action in nothing but a pair of white Calvin Klein boxer briefs, very reminiscent of his 2015 CK campaign, when he also donned white briefs. He looked a little more wild this time around, more tatted in the torso too FWIW.

More importantly, JB was ecstatic ... doing a mighty double fist pump in the air ('Rocky'-style) and flashing his pearly whites after a hard day's work. Unclear if losing his wardrobe was part of the video, or if he just shed it all for catharsis -- we'll find out soon enough 🤷🏽‍♂️.

BTW, Justin's wife, Hailey, was also on set through a majority of the day ... wearing casual clothing and, at one point, was even sporting a robe. It doesn't appear she was on camera or anything, however -- looks like she was just there to support her hubby and mingle a bit.

One gal who was supposedly sharing screen time with Justin as a costar, though, was one Zoey Deutch -- known from Netflix's "The Politician," and a bunch of other shows/movies 👀.

Murder Hornets Two Queens Captured ... After Dive Into belly of the Beast

Published

Scientists returned to the scene of the crime to finish the job they started last week -- and it appears they succeeded, snatching not just one, but TWO queen murder hornets.

Officials from the Washington State Department of Agriculture went out on another mission earlier this week to remove a tree they suspected still had quite a fair amount of hornets in its trunk, not to mention at least one queen that escaped their clutches last time around.

Turns out, they were right and then some ... not only was there a queen still burrowed in there, but there was a second fully-grown one as well. And, the crew got both!

Check out this video that documents their process. First, they cut the tree in question down, wrapped in plastic, sawed down the middle, pumped its innards with carbon dioxide to stun the hornets and then pried it open with heavy-duty tools to remove what they found.

What that was ... two massive queens, whose size you can see from the tubes they were housed in after the fact. Scientists believe one might be a newbie queen, and one might be the OG ... which helped spawn the hive -- where several other almost fully-developed were growing in what the crew calls white-capped cells. It's gnarly all around ... watch.

For now, it would appear it's mission accomplished in Blaine, WA -- although WSDA says they'll continue to look for other hornets that might still be hovering around. They'll also study the hornets they have captured -- several dozens worth -- to understand the species more.

VOTERS PEPPER SPRAYED

An event to bring voters to the polls deteriorated into violence Saturday, when police pepper sprayed the crowd.

Around 200 people in Graham, North Carolina marched to a polling place for an event called "I Am Change." Marchers were there not just to vote but also to honor black Americans who were killed at the hands of police.

After a moment of silence to honor George Floyd, the march got underway, but not long after, authorities called it an unlawful assembly because the marchers were obstructing the roads.

Police ordered them to disperse, and when they didn't the pepper spray came out. One woman who was wheelchair-bound was hit with pepper spray and fell out of her chair. Eight people were arrested for failing to disperse and with one instance of assault on a law enforcement officer.

Famed civil rights attorney Ben Crump and George Floyd's niece, Brooke Williams, were slated to speak, but that never happened because of the police confrontation.

Police said they "deployed a pepper based vapor onto the ground to assist in the dispersing the crowd. At no time during this event did any member of the Graham Police Department directly spray any participant in the march with chemical irritants."

Rod Wave Through the Wire ... And Through the Stage!!!

Rod Wave might want to "Pray 4 Love" ... but we really need to be praying for this stage he and his crew fell right through as they were making their way out for a show.

The St. Petersburg rapper was doing a big-time walkout Saturday night as he was being introduced for a concert he was doing at Morris Brown College in Atlanta ... but, before he could even get one song out -- the floor beneath him and his homies literally gave out!

Check it out -- Rod and co. make their way to the front of the stage, when all of a sudden ... a big chunk of the stage collapses and starts sucking people in. Rod stumbled back and fell, but he was fortunately able to avoid the pit of doom -- unlike some of his buddies.

Unclear why the stage caved in the way it did, but as you can imagine ... the jokes started to fly, sometimes at Rod's expense. Doesn't seem like it was his fault at all though -- just looks like a freak accident that was waiting for the right amount of poundage to set it off.

The concert was reportedly canceled after that, which we get. Hard to recover after that. Next time, Rod, make sure to do a stage check after mic, sound and everything else.

Barack Obama Warms Up for Biden Rally Drills 3-Pointer ... Do It, Barry!!!!

Published | Updated

Barack Obama was on fire this weekend stumping for his former VP in Michigan -- and that's no coincidence seeing how he was in the GROOVE after sinking a trey beforehand.

Prior to Joe Biden's Detroit rally, Barack was putting up shots in the Northwestern High School gym -- and right before showtime ... he threw up a beauty from the far right corner, and watched it fall cleanly. Quite the impressive feat, and BO was clearly feeling himself.

The crowd cheers and someone in the distance says "Walk off!" As Barack casually saunters away, he looks back and says, "That's what I do!" Just to make sure everyone heard him, he removed his mask and said it again loud and clear. Yes, 44 owns the 3 -- take notice, y'all.

Barack must've been on one after his stirring speech earlier in the day at a previous rally in Flint -- where he blasted President Trump and his recent comments (not to mention behavior) regarding COVID. Namely, Barack couldn't believe Trump said doctors were juking up the stats in hospitals so they could get paid out for patients deemed to have died from the virus.

That actually marked the first time Barack shared the stage with Joe at an in-person rally -- before that, Barack was already on the campaign trail on his behalf, but Joe hadn't appeared alongside him until this weekend. No better time to join forces ... Election Day's Tuesday.

To celebrate the occasion, Barack and Joe shared an almost-elbow bump -- both jokingly trying not to touch to be distance-safe. It was a little awkward, but charming nonetheless.

Viral campaign moments ... that's what these two do!

Dog Meets Gopher Lovefest in SF

Published | Updated

How is it that a dog and a gopher can get along better than human beings with divergent political views?

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Well, that was the case at Golden Gate Park in San Fran, when Fiona, a Great Pyrenees came upon a gopher hole and, low and behold, a critter emerged and mesmerized the pooch.

The gopher seems as curious as Fiona, repeatedly popping out of the tiny cave and staring at the much larger creature, who is equally intrigued.

So, as the election approaches, can we be like gophers and dogs ... sadly, doesn't seem likely.

Breonna Taylor Another Grand Juror Speaks Out Against Attorney General

Published | Updated

Three's company when it comes to Breonna Taylor grand jurors calling out Attorney General Daniel Cameron, who they say never even gave them a chance to consider manslaughter or murder charges against police.

A third juror spoke out Friday, affirming what two other anonymous jurors previously told CBS News' Gayle King ... the AG's office did NOT present them any attempted murder charges, murder charges or manslaughter charges.

This anonymous juror says they decided to come forward after much reflection, and the juror "firmly supports the fact that no additional charges were allowed at the conclusion of their service" ... according to the juror's legal team.

As we reported ... the other 2 grand jurors -- one white and one Black -- say they felt like Cameron betrayed them when he said the grand jury agreed on the minor charge against Officer Hankinson, for wanton endangerment, was the only charge warranted in the case.

THE BLOW-BY-BLOW

AG Cameron has said, if the grand jurors wanted to consider more charges they could have, but this third juror is saying that wasn't the case. Just like the other 2 ... they're calling Cameron a liar.

Breonna's mother, Tamika Palmer, filed docs on Thursday requesting a new grand jury be convened, a special prosecutor be appointed to present the case.

Applebee's Arrest Body Cam from High Chair Dispute

Published | Updated

The woman who was arrested at an Ohio Applebee's over a high chair conflict was given ample opportunity to avoid it ... based on police body cam footage anyway.

As we reported ... Shannel Malcolm got into it with restaurant staffers after she claimed she was denied 2 high chairs for her twin babies. Welcome to 2020, where cops get called over high chairs, and the video shows Shannel's absolute disbelief once she saw the officers.

At first, she's not all that interested in explaining her side of the story. Instead, she whipped out her phone, and as we reported ... live streamed the incident.

Two babies, one high chair

The officer did speak to an employee who explained they were following the law by not allowing Shannel to have high chairs at her booth because it would be dangerous to her kids.

Applebee's told TMZ ... 2 high chairs in a booth created a fire safety hazard, so they offered to seat her at a different table. They claim Shannel refused and got aggressive with a pregnant host -- and that's why they called police.

As for why she got arrested? Well, watch the video to see what happened after the officer kicked her out of the restaurant.

"DO YOU WANT TO GO TO JAIL?!"

Shannel was jawing with other patrons, and totally defiant when the cop tried to let her go with a ticket. That's when the handcuffs came out and, as we told you ... she got arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice.

High chairs, folks. High chairs.

Trump's Tampa Rally Fire Truck Sprays Supporters ... 'Are They Friend Or Foe?!?'

COOLIN' OFF THE CROWD

President Trump's rally outside Tom Brady's office is a sweltering, hot mess ... but firemen are dousing Trump and his supporters to combat the heat.

Trump addressed a large crowd Thursday outside Raymond James Stadium -- home to Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the next Super Bowl -- and with folks crowded together under the baking hot sun, a fire truck opened up a hose to keep things cool.

The temperature's around 87 degrees, but that's a Florida 87, so the crowd was grateful -- some even turned their backs to Trump as they tried to get wet and cool down.

Trump noticed the water cannon during his speech, pausing to wonder if the commotion was friendly. If it wasn't he joked, "Let's take care of those son of a bitches." Not shockingly, the Prez couldn't hide his delight when the firefighters aimed at the media's cameras.

The water cannon reportedly sprayed folks as far as 100-yards away ... but some people have reportedly passed out in the sun, and medics are on the scene.

It's the second Trump rally this week dealing with weather issues. As we reported, supporters at Tuesday's Omaha rally were stranded in the cold and some ended up in the hospital.

MASKLESS MOVES

This woman's taking face mask tirades to the next level, adding a disgusting racist tirade that included her busting out alleged Kung Fu moves on an Asian employee.

This all went down at Shoppers Drug Mart in Ontario, Canada where the employee had told the customer she had to wear a mask while inside the store ... and that set off the so-called "battle" you see in the video.

The maskless customer claimed she was doing Kung Fu because, "I know you know martial arts. So do I!" The employee desperately tried to get the woman out of the store and threatened to call police.

As if the situation couldn't get more bizarre ... the maskless woman appeared to threaten the employee with her own blood. You can see her waving a tissue she claimed had her blood on it.

Security ultimately arrived but the woman had bolted.

YouTuber Andre Abram I Forgive Racist Who Called Me the N-Word

Andre Abram -- the Black man who was told "This is a no n***er zone" by a man named Paul Ng -- says he's dealing with difficult mental aftershock from the incident going viral ... but he's not holding any grudges.

Abram tells TMZ ... last week's confrontation with Ng in Scottsdale was extremely upsetting for him, and he's having a tough time reliving it over and over as the media replays it.

Abram says he's using breathing and relaxation techniques to stay calm, but admits it's been emotionally taxing. He says he has a strong support system of friends and family ... and he won't hesitate to seek more help if needed.

As for Ng ... Andre says he forgives the guy for his actions, but stresses that he needs to understand what he did was wrong and unacceptable.

As we first reported ... Ng was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for his interaction with Abram. He allegedly told cops he was looking out for his community and suspected Abram and his friend of casing the area. In actuality, they were recording an episode of Abram's podcast.

Ng also got fired from his job, and Abram tells us he believes the guy's been punished enough. He also says he'd be willing to meet 1-on-1 with Ng to discuss the incident as part of the healing process ... if Ng is interested.

Lyft Offering Big Discounts to Voters ... In Some Cases Free Rides

Published

With Election Day fast approaching, lots of folks will be looking for ways to get to their polling places, which is where Lyft comes in ... with a major assist for thousands of voters.

A rep for the rideshare co. tells TMZ ... their team has already helped mobilize nearly 30,000 people with a transportation plan on Nov. 3. They're also helping voters to make sure they're registered.

Might seem like small potatoes, but since every vote counts in this election -- it's actually a big deal. Lyft says they've achieved this via their Voting Access Hub, along with countless partnerships in a comprehensive push to get out the vote.

Lyft's also offering sweet deals on Election Day for folks who need a lift to the polling place.

It'll be cheaper than usual to use Lyft that day -- and it could be straight-up free, depending on your circumstance. Lyft says it's offering 50% off one ride with a $10 max discount, one way. The code to get the discount is 2020VOTE.

For folks in underserved communities, they'll have the opportunity to get a ride on the house.

Lyft is partnering with orgs like Nike, More Than a Vote, Vote.org, Black Women's Roundtable, Sony Music Group, Plus 1 Vote ... and even John Legend, who's focusing on getting transportation for formerly incarcerated people who are eligible to vote.

A Herculean effort, really ... but it's now or never, right?

Wild Video Semitruck Rocked by Crazy Winds ... Nearly Topples Over!!!

CLOSE CALL!!!!

There IS something worse than a SoCal traffic jam -- try getting caught behind a semitruck as powerful wind tosses it like a rocking chair, nearly tipping it over right in front of you!!!

The incredible footage shows the big rig leaning and rocking in the wind, and as you can see, at one point the entire trailer was lifted up on one side as it came oh so close to falling over.

Erik, the guy who shot the video, tells us he was driving onto the 210 Freeway Monday in Fontana, CA -- an hour east of L.A. -- when he noticed the semi struggling to cut through the strong Santa Ana winds, which gusted up to 96 MPH that day.

Erik says he started filming the semi, thinking it was only a matter of time before it blew on its side. He was dangerously close to being right.

The worst part for Erik was there was already bumper-to-bumper traffic on the freeway due to multiple other semis flipping in the wind.

No such thing as a boring commute 'round these parts.

Oregon Health Official COVID Deaths Not Funny ... But Yes, I'm Dressed as a Clown

CLOWNIN' AROUND

No one's laughing about the rising COVID death toll, which is why this is a total WTF moment -- a senior health official announcing grim numbers ... while rocking a clown costume.

Try not to be distracted by the full clown makeup, red tie, polka dot shirt and yellow pants the official was wearing as she somberly rattled off the tally for COVID cases and deaths in Oregon.

The answer to your question -- who's this clown? She's reportedly Claire Poche from the Oregon Health Authority. We know it's Halloween and all, but Claire never addresses her attire in the video.

Officials are reportedly dismissing it as just a costume, but that doesn't square with the fact the video was recorded Oct. 14, making it 2 weeks old now and pretty early for a Halloween. Plus, the sign language interpreter isn't in a costume ... so, Claire really stands out.

Put it on the board -- our first Halloween faux pas of 2020.
