You Might Want to Rethink

2:35 PM PT -- We did some more digging and found a penal code section in O.J.'s file in the spousal battery case, and it appears the conviction was indeed expunged, so it makes sense why authorities would not have informed the Nevada Parole Board.

O.J. Simpson might not have been paroled had the Nevada Parole Board been officially informed that he had been convicted of spousal battery in 1989 ... but the board never found out.

The Board just said they had never been told that Simpson pled no contest to beating Nicole Brown Simpson on New Year's Day, 1989. Simpson punched and kicked her, pulled her hair and screamed, "I'll kill you." He slapped her so hard a handprint was left on her neck. He was placed on probation for 24 months.

Had the board known about the incident it could have considered it in deciding whether Simpson was suitable for parole. As it stood, Simpson appeared to the board to have a clean record, since he was found not guilty of murdering Nicole and Ron Goldman.

9:31 AM -- All 10 suspects -- including the 4 coaches -- have now been arrested, officials say.

8:57 AM PT -- The U.S. Attorney's Office is about to hold a news conference to explain the charges. The conference is set to begin in a few minutes.

The FBI claims Jim Gatto -- the Director of Global Marketing for Adidas Basketball -- paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to funnel top prospects to Adidas sponsored colleges ... including Louisville.

It's all part of a massive probe into corruption in NCAA basketball -- spelled out in 3 separate criminal complaints.

One of the probes centered around Auburn assistant coach Chuck Person, who allegedly took thousands of dollars in bribes to steer players to a financial advisor and a high-end suit-maker.

The 3rd probe included USC assistant coach Tony Bland, Oklahoma State coach Lamont Evans and Book Richardson from the University of Arizona.

In total, we're told 10 people are facing charges. Eight of those people have been arrested.

It's all in court docs filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of NY and obtained by TMZ Sports.

First, Gatto ...

In the documents, the FBI says Gatto tried to pay one player and his family $100,000 to get him to a school of Gatto's choice. Another player got $150k with the expectation that the player would sign with Adidas when he went to the NBA.

In the docs, the FBI says a coach at a major college in Florida told Gatto that he needed to pay a top player $150k so the player wouldn't attend another D1 school sponsored by a rival apparel company.

The coach allegedly told Gatto that the rival clothing company had also offered the player a "substantial sum of money."

The FBI says it has wiretapped phone calls catching Gatto and his conspirators in the act.

The FBI spells it out ...

"The investigation has revealed multiple instances of bribes paid by athlete advisors, including financial advisors and business managers, as well as high-level apparel company employees, and facilitated by coaches employed by NCAA division 1 universities, to student-athletes playing at or bound for NCAA D-1 universities, and the families of such athletes, in exchange for a commitment by those athletes to matriculate at a specific university and a promise to ultimately sign agreements to be represented by the bribe-payors once the athletes enter the NBA."

As for the case against Chuck Person, the FBI says he collected about $91,500 in bribes in exchange for funneling Auburn players to a particular financial advisor and a high-end suit maker, Rashan Michel.

The FBI says Person would use a portion of the bribes to pay off the families of high-priority recruits.

In one part of the documents, the FBI says Chuck met with a player and counseled him about how players secretly get away with NCAA violations.

He allegedly told one player, "The most important part is that you ... don't say nothing to anybody ... don't share with your sisters, don't share with any of the teammates, that's very important 'cause this is a violation ... of rules. But this is how the NBA players get it done."

"They get early relationships, and they form partnerships, they form trust, you get to know [financial advisor], you get to know Rashan a lot and like Rashan can get you suits and stuff ... you'll start looking like an NBA ball player, that's what you are."

11:05 AM PT -- FOX tells us ... “In 'Who Shot Biggie & Tupac?' a photo of Los Angeles Sheriff Department Commander Steven D. Katz was mistakenly used in the program. FOX regrets the error and extends an apology to Commander Katz and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.”

7:25 AM PT -- Critical Content -- the company behind the special -- issued an apology, saying, "Critical Content apologizes to Commander Steve Katz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, whose photo was mistakenly included in last night’s airing of 'Who Shot Biggie and Tupac?' He is not the Steven Katz of the Los Angeles Police Department mentioned in the program."

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. is irate at FOX over its "Who Shot Biggie & Tupac?" special that accused a Sheriff's commander of bungling the investigation, and the Department is demanding an apology.

The show, hosted by Ice-T and Soledad O'Brien, misidentified Commander Stephen D. Katz as the lead investigator into Biggie's murder. The show repeatedly showed Katz' face and his badge and said the way he handled the case was disgraceful. All incorrect, the Dept. says ... he had nothing to do with the investigation.

In fact, the Sheriff's Dept. says they had no involvement in Biggie's investigation ... it was all LAPD.

The Sheriff's Dept. is demanding a public apology and retraction from FOX, claiming the references to Katz and the Dept. were defamatory.

We reached out to FOX .. so far, no word back.

A Post Malone fan hilariously apologized for not catching the rapper when he pulled off an awesome stage dive -- because the guy was too damn busy recording the dive with his phone.

Post tweeted about the epic fail at his Sunday night show near St. Louis, comparing his dive to Jack Black's in "School of Rock." He was aiming for something closer to the epic one Lil Uzi Vert did earlier this year.

Didn't take long for someone who had been standing in the front row to post a video of Post actually flying over his head with the caption, "My bad."

As another fan points out ... "you can hear them screaming in fear." Thankfully doesn't look like anyone was hurt. Even more miraculously, doesn't look like Post skipped a beat.

Looks like Ty Dolla $ign and YG may have allegedly kicked the crap out of the wrong dude, because they're about to be hauled into court.

TMZ has obtained demand letters fired off to the 2 rappers on behalf of a budding Australian soccer star, who claims his career has been sidelined because of the beating.

Nelly Yoa says back in January 2015, Dolla and YG physically assaulted him at Eve Nightclub in Melbourne. As TMZ reported, Yoa claims he was in the VIP area when the rappers and their crew rolled in and tried to shove everyone else out. Yoa refused, and says Dollar and YG began punching and kicking him in the head.

According to the demand letter, Yoa suffered physical and mental injuries, which has prevented him from earning what he says would have been a "substantial income." He says he lost a prospective soccer deal with the Melbourne City Football Club.

The letter is a formality which must be sent before a lawsuit is filed.

"Narcos" star Pedro Pascal is riding the wave of popularity, yet he says the Netflix show can't go on unless there's a way of protecting cast and crew.

We got Pedro -- who plays DEA agent Javier Peña -- out at LAX Sunday and asked about the respected location scout who was murdered in an area near Hidalgo.

As we reported ... Carlos Muñoz Portal's body was found earlier this month riddled with bullets. Muñoz was scouting in Mexico for season 4 ... where Peña zeroes in on the Mexican drug cartels.

Claims of racism by Ciara Miller -- the woman seen yelling at restaurant diners about a vet's service dog being allowed inside -- are ridiculous and "shameful" ... says the woman who recorded the video.

Sherra Stanley tells us ... the service dog at Kathy's Crab House in Delaware belongs to her friend Bill, a military vet, and his wife is the woman who approached Miller to explain why his dog, JP, was allowed inside. Stanley claims there were absolutely NO racial slurs hurled ... but Miller went crazy.

Stanley also tells us the racism accusations don't make sense ... because Bill's party at the restaurant was representing multiple races. Specifically ... his stepdad is black, and Stanley herself is mixed race.

As we reported ... Miller claims she was grossed out by the service dog but was leaving peacefully until she was accosted and called the n-word.

In the now-infamous vid ... Ciara argues with several patrons, but doesn't allude to any racist behavior.

Dakota Gonzalez definitely has a type as far as hot male bods go -- she's even got a top 3 when it comes to pro athletes in the game right now.

We got one half of the Gonzalez Twins -- the former star college basketball duo -- in Vegas Saturday for the first game of Master P's coed basketball league, and asked who she thought had the best bod in male sports.

Authorities have already executed search warrants on multiple people suspected in the plot to extort Kevin Hart over the sex tape ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us, a judge signed the warrants earlier this week and they were executed almost immediately. We're told the information and items seized have already yielded results and have helped close in on the people who demanded 7 figures from Hart to keep the tape silent.

We're told one of the key items is phone records, but also computer hard drives and other electronics.

"Big Brother" star Jessica Graf -- aka the anal invader -- wasn't feeling all the nudging about her butt poking ... so she bailed.

Xzibit is defending the white sorority chicks who went viral for singing the n-word, because he says they're small potatoes compared to what Prez Trump's been spewing.

When we got X to the Z at LAX Thursday he was willing to give the ladies of Alpha Phi a pass. After all ... as he says, they were just singing along with Kanye West's "Gold Digger" lyrics -- so, no harm, no foul.

On the other hand, if POTUS is expecting a pass for some of his outrageous comments -- it definitely won't be coming from Xzibit.

The sorority whose members loudly sang Kanye West's "Gold Digger" and included the n-word ... will NOT be punished ... TMZ has learned.

A rep from the University of New Hampshire tells us the Alpha Phi sisters showed poor judgment in the video of them using the n-word, but UNH is not investigating the matter. The rep says the initial report claiming UNH had opened a probe was incorrect -- and there will be no discipline for the sorority.

We're told the women of Alpha Phi have apologized.

White sorority girls singin' the n-word ... yep.

Question is, should they be thrown out of the Univ. of New Hampshire for their bars ... considering it was all part of a Kanye West sing-along?

The Alpha Phi Sorority is now under the microscope of UNH officials for yelling out the n-word in "Gold Digger."

Someone posted video of the sorority performance on Facebook, and some people are really pissed.

BTW ... New Hampshire is the "Live Free or Die" state ... it's emblazoned on their license plates.

Keep your damn hammers quiet when MSNBC anchor Lawrence O'Donnell is working or he'll have to ... go down to the "goddamned floor" himself and stop it!

O'Donnell hammered that point home when he absolutely melted down while shooting an MSNBC broadcast, reportedly on Aug. 29. The veteran reporter lost it on the floor crew, the control room ... and whoever had the audacity to hammer during his show. He said he was also getting extraneous noise in his earpiece.

In his defense, the construction noise was blatant, and would reasonably be distracting O'Donnell as he tried to do his job. He added the whole situation was "f**king out of control."

Lawrence apologized about the incident Wednesday evening, tweeting ... "A better anchorman and a better person would've had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I'm sorry."

LO's flip out is good, but for our money -- Bill O'Reilly's still got the crown. 'Cause he did it LIVE!

"Shahs of Sunset" star Golnesa 'GG' Gharachedaghi filed for divorce after just 2 months of marriage, but there's a problem -- her husband claims they were together 'til just last week.

According to new legal docs ... Shalom Yeroushalmi agrees he and GG got married on January 25, but he claims their separation date is September 13. GG previously claimed March 27 was the day they split.

Shalom's also fighting GG's request to block him from getting spousal support. He's asking the court to award him some, and wants her to pay his attorney's fees too.

As we reported ... friends were worried GG was rushing to the altar, and now it looks like her divorce proceedings are going to last much longer than her marriage.

Kevin Durant says it was "childish" and "idiotic" to slam his former OKC Thunder coach and teammates on Twitter this week ... but insists he was NOT trying to do it from a secret 2nd account.

KD just addressed the situation at TechCrunch Disrupt -- where he was asked straight-up if he intended to post the anti-OKC tweets from an anonymous account so nobody would know it was him.

Durant denied the allegation ... only admitting to another Instagram account -- "but that's just for my friends and family so I wouldn't say I was using that to clap back at anybody."

KD says he enjoys engaging with basketball fans on Twitter but, "I happened to take it a little too far" when he told 1 fan that he left OKC because he "didn't like the organization or playing for Billy Donovan."

"I don't regret clapping back at anybody or talking to my fans on Twitter," Durant said at TechCrunch ... "I do regret using my former coach's name and the former organization that I played for."

"That was childish. That was idiotic. All those type of words ... I regret doing that and I apologize to him for doing that."

KD says he felt bad about it ... but will continue to use Twitter.
