Jimmy Butler had himself one helluva Monday -- squashing beef with Dwyane Wade and going on a lunch date with a smokin' hot Instagram model ... and TMZ Sports has the video.

Everyone saw Dwyane clap back at Jimmy last week when the Minnesota Timberwolves star commented "WELL DAMN" on a hot photo of Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union.

Wade wrote to Butler, "Put well damn in caps on my wife photo again and you’re gonna see what the good, the bad and the ugly is like."

So, when we saw Butler at The Ivy in L.A. we had to ask if there was real smoke between the two. Butler answered and seemed to put the whole thing to bed.

Speaking of bed ... Butler's lunch date was an absolute dime -- and while he tried to play coy when leaving the restaurant, we ID'd her as famous Instagram model India Love.

Love is an aspiring rapper who's been romantically linked to stars like The Game, Rick Ross and Drake. She's basically a she-pimp (get it, gurl!) with 3.7 million IG followers.

No word if she and Butler are an item -- but we wouldn't hate if they were!

Safaree says he isn't worried about potentially running into his ex, Nicki Minaj, on the red carpet at the VMAs ... but he does have some advice for her.

We got the 'Love & Hip Hop' star Monday as he was heading to Radio City Music Hall in NYC to attend the MTV awards show when he took some clear shots at Nicki on the heels of their online beef ... not to mention all her other Twitter squabbles this week.

As we reported ... Safaree claimed Nicki once tried to stab him with a knife in 2014 -- she called him a liar. Nicki also called out Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner over the weekend for working together to push his album sales past hers on the charts.

Our guy also asks if he beefed up security to avoid any nasty run-ins with Nicki on the red carpet -- like MTV brass is already doing to accommodate the feuding exes -- but he insists he's only rolling deep as a result of his robbery earlier this year.

Trevor Bauer is much less pissed off at ESPN today ... 'cause it turns out the company DIDN'T actually air a tweet that he says made him look like a "lunatic" after all.

ICYMI ... the Indians superstar is famous for being a baseball brainiac -- and when he broke his leg last week, a reporter had some fun at Trevor's expense with the diagnosis news.

"Trevor Bauer says that the doctors' timeline for his return is based on outdated mainstream medicine and he's begun a course of blood transfusions and colloidal silver to rid his body of CIA nanites," Ringer staff writer Michael Baumann tweeted.

"He anticipates missing two starts, three tops."

Bauer initially found the tweet hilarious ... but when he believed MLB Network and ESPN ran with the tweet as fact -- he was not happy.

"Presenting it as fact on tv, thus painting me as some lunatic that’s off his rocker, is not ok at all," Bauer tweeted.

He continued in another tweet: "Hey @MLBNetwork and @espn I would like public statements on social media and on your networks clarifying that the information you wrongly reported as fact earlier regarding my recovery timetable and process is false and not a quote from me. The report is damaging and absurd."

Turns out ... ESPN didn't actually run the tweet -- which caused Trevor to issue a 35-second apology video Monday evening.

"It appears the information I was given and what I believed to have seen was wrong, and ESPN never aired the fake tweet."

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott will have a direct shot at Nicki Minaj during the VMAs ... this after Nicki blasted them for cheating her out of the top spot on the Billboard chart.

The seating chart for Monday night's VMAs plays like some high school drama. Roughly 24 hours after Nicki went nuclear on Travis and Kylie, they'll be sitting within inches of each other at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

ICYMI, Nicki went off on Travis Sunday, blaming Kylie and her daughter, Stormi, for rocketing Travis to the top of the Billboard Chart with his album, "Astroworld," which came out 2 weeks ago. Nicki's convinced Kylie's strong social media presence is what pushed Travis over the top and firmly believes the No. 1 spot woulda been hers if not for Kylie and Stormi.

Jake and Deji are just 5 days away from their boxing match in England -- an event that some say could have more viewers than Mayweather vs. McGregor.

The main event features Jake and Deji's older brothers -- Logan Paul vs. KSI -- two YouTube stars who both claim they're using this fight as a step toward becoming pro fighters.

As for Jake and Deji -- no pro aspirations here ... these guys just hate each other.

Nicki Minaj is going nuclear, blaming Kylie Jenner and her daughter Stormi for Travis Scott's victory over her on the charts.

Nicki is furious because she believed she would soar to the top of the Billboard Chart with her new album, "Queen" ... but Travis captured the #1 spot with his album, "Astroworld," which came out 2 weeks ago. She came in at #2 this week.

Nicki believes Travis cheated because he's using his baby and baby mama to fuel interest in his album. Specifically, Nicki went ham over Kylie's post 3 days ago where she plastered Travis' tour art with the caption, "me and storm ready for tour. shop.travisscott.com."

Nicki claims Travis sold more than 50,000 units off Kylie's post ... spiking his overall album sales.

LaVar Ball's JBA league is now facing allegations from a former player that he got stiffed out of his full paycheck ... but, just last week, LaVar was adamant he's paying ALL of his guys.

Brandon Phillips -- who played for the L.A. Ballers this season -- claims he's only been paid roughly one-third of what he was promised ... and had to come out of pocket to pay for travel expenses.

Phillips told Cycle Media's Thomas Duffy that no one from the league has returned his calls regarding the 2 paychecks he never received.

But, we spoke with LaVar on August 10 -- and he didn't seem like a man with anything to hide.

Elon Musk lost it during an interview as he talked about Ambien use, exhaustion and isolation.

Musk boomeranged from laughter to tears during an interview with the NY Times. He acknowledged using Ambien, saying, "It is often a choice of no sleep or Ambien." Members of the Tesla Board of Directors have worried Elon doesn't sleep after taking Ambien ... he tweets, and it has caused the company problems ... most recently when he tweeted he wanted to take the company private.

The Times went on to claim some board members believed Musk occasionally used recreational drugs.

He went on to say he's constantly exhausted because of his workload and it's compromised his health. He claims he works up to 120 hours a week and has not taken more than a week off in 17 years. The last time he was off the clock for more than a week ... 2001, when he had malaria.

Musk, who turned 47 in June, said he spent the entire day and night of his birthday at work ... "All night -- no friends, nothing."

It's now clear why Donald Trump pretended not to know his Chief of Staff fired Omarosa, because he and his family were clearly on a campaign to buy her silence ... or at least to hush her up and not talk trash.

Omarosa just released another secret audio recording ... this time with Eric Trump's wife, Lara, and it's shocking. She straight-up offers her around $180k to work on Trump's reelection campaign -- what she made at the White House, but there's a string attached.

Lara says, "It sounds a little like, obviously, that there are some things you've got in the back pocket to pull out. Clearly if you come on board the campaign, we can't have ..." and then she says Omarosa's got to keep it positive.

Here's what's really shocking ... General Kelly told Omarosa she was being fired for financial improprieties involving "integrity" issues that could run her afoul of the law. She wasn't fit for the White House, but she's fit for Trump's reelection campaign?

Suzanne Somers seems down with giving Matt Lauer a second chance ... and she fears the casualty in all of this is old-school flirting.

We got Suzanne Wednesday in Bev Hills leaving Madeo and asked if she agreed with Lauer's first wife saying he deserves another chance. Suzanne says she can only speak from experience and says he was always lovely to her. She went on to say she's not in a position to judge what Lauer did on his time off.

Lauer was fired for -- among other things -- allegedly dropping trou in his office in front of a female staffer and presenting another staffer with a sex toy. It's pretty clear Suzanne means she has no idea what Lauer did in private.

YG was sober as a judge when a flight attendant claimed he was drunk and kicked him off a plane Monday night ... according to rapper Slim 400, who was also on the flight.

Slim, one of YG's artists, says the trouble started when YG asked the American Airlines flight attendant if he could change his seat. He says there was no yelling or cussing ... just a calm request, but still things went south.

He says it only escalated because of the flight attendant's reaction to YG's request. You gotta see his description of what went down. Slim suggests the attendant's attitude was racially motivated because he's positive YG wasn't drunk and shows us why.

As we reported, YG posted a video as he was leaving the plane, claiming the airline was a bunch of "Racist ass muthaf***as." American tells us he was kicked off "due to being intoxicated."

Dru Hill's new member ain't even tryin' to lie ... Smoke E. Digglera knows he and the group got busted -- hilariously -- for photoshopping his sneakers, but there's a funny story behind the flub.

Smoke, formerly lead singer for Playa, tells TMZ the mix-up started when he showed up for the photo shoot with Sisqo and the rest of DH, including fellow new member, Black. As the Internet immediately figured out ... those white Jordan 1 shoes on his feet were dropped in to cover up his, uhh ... wardrobe malfunction.

He says a miscommunication on what the shoot was supposed to frame (or not frame, more like) led to a last-minute change in editing ... and the rest is history.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders can't say for sure there isn't a recording of President Trump saying the n-word.

The White House Press Sec. was bombarded Tuesday with questions about Omarosa's many secret recordings ... during the campaign and after Trump was in Office.

Sanders was asked multiple times if she's ever directly asked Trump if he used the n-word. She deflected each time, and refused to use the g-word ... guarantee. As we reported, Omarosa recorded Trump campaign staffers discussing how to handle a possible recording of him using the racial epithet.

Sherri Shepherd shredded Omarosa to pieces ... accusing her of trying to lead black people to the slaughterhouse in the name of Trump.

We got Sherri Monday night outside the Hollywood Improv ... and she couldn't be clearer ... Omarosa is now living in no man's land -- rejected by the black community and rejected by Trump. Sherri says she did it for fame and fortune and there's no going back.

9:43 AM PT -- Cops took a report for prowling and say there are currently 2 suspects. The men were scared away when Shaunie confronted them using her home security system.

Shaq ain't the only crime fighter in the O'Neal family -- his ex-wife, Shaunie O'Neal, spotted some dudes allegedly trying to break into her home ... and used her security system to scare 'em off!

Shaunie spotted two dudes skulking around the property -- and activated the 2-way speaker on her Ring video surveillance system to yell at the intruders.

"What are you doing?" Shaunie said calmly ... "You're on camera. Smile bitch!"

You can see the "Oh crap" look on one of the perp's face -- both men immediately turn tail and book it out of the home.

Shaunie, hoping for some public shaming, posted the footage to social media, saying, "Listen did y’all forget @Shaq is partners with @ring and made sure the kids and I had cameras everywhere."
