Derek Fisher I'm Gonna Call Carmelo ... To Help Him Through La La Breakup

Published | Updated

Derek Fisher says Carmelo Anthony needs to be focused on family ... not basketball ... and promises he'll reach out to his former player and help him cope with the separation from his superstar wife, La La.

Derek coached Melo on the Knicks a few years back -- and when we got him out in Calabasas with his GF, Gloria Govan, we had to ask if he'd he heard the news about Melo's marriage.

Interesting question for Fisher (Govan LITERALLY sips tea when we ask) ... but he goes full-on friend, saying Anthony should tune out everything except his family. He also promises to call Melo to offer his support.

Nothing to see here, Matt Barnes.

Kendrick Lamar apparently didn't return the love to President Obama, because he told us the former Prez didn't get an advanced copy of his album like LeBron James did.

Kendrick was leaving Mastro's in Bev Hills Friday night when our photog brought up Obama, who previously praised Kendrick for having the best album of 2015.

The rapper famously sent an early copy of his new album, "DAMN" to LeBron ... but turns out Obama's mailbox was empty.

As for rumors of a companion album ... he answers that, too.

Vin Diesel Says He'd Beat The Rock Down ... In REAL Fight

Published | Updated

If Vin Diesel and The Rock came to blows, Vin is adamant he'd whoop Rock's candy ass all the way back to the WWE ... and he's serious.

Just ask UFC champ Tyron Woodley -- who says he was confronted by Vin (in a non-violent way) at the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" premiere because Tyron publicly picked Rock to win in a hypothetical cage match.

TALKIN' SMACK

Woodley explained the whole thing on the "TMZ Sports" TV show on FS1 -- saying Vin "pulled up" on him at the premiere and explained why he'd kick that ass.

We're told Vin cited his experience as a bouncer back in the day before he was a movie star.

There was bad blood between Rock and Vin when they were shooting the last installment of 'Fast and the Furious' ... but they've squashed the beef.

For now at least ...

James Worthy Fires Back At Kevin Durant ... After KD Trashed Him

VERY DISAPPOINTED

James Worthy ain't backing down from Kevin Durant -- saying the NBA star was not only WRONG when he trashed him on a recent podcast, but claims KD's underhanded allegations could seriously damage his career.

Worthy is upset about a story Durant told on "The Bill Simmons Podcast" -- in which KD says he met Worthy last year and they had a very cool conversation about Durant leaving OKC for Golden State.

But Kevin says he learned a short time later that Worthy trashed him about the move during a TV interview. Durant felt betrayed and called James "shady" and "corny."

But Worthy says Durant's version of the story is simply untrue -- and he was so upset, he tracked down the TV interview in question to prove he's not a two-faced liar.

Worthy says he reached out to the Golden State Warriors in an effort to clear things up with Durant and had hoped KD would set the record straight on a podcast this week, but that didn't happen.

Worthy says he's REALLY upset at KD's agent, Rich Kleiman, for encouraging the NBA star to "go negative."

Still, James says Durant is one of his favorite players and he hopes they can squash the beef.

Adrien Broner Arrest Video 'I Just Got Shot At' 'Bitch Ass N**gas Tried to Kill Me'

TMZ Sports has obtained the Adrien Broner arrest video -- in which the boxing superstar tells cops, "Bitch ass n**gas tried to kill me."

Broner was arrested Thursday morning in Kentucky after officers noticed bullet holes in his SUV -- and discovered an outstanding warrant for Broner's arrest stemming from a 2014 incident.

During the stop, Broner rants to cops that people tried to shoot and kill him earlier in the night and he deserves a break.

Broner makes it clear he does NOT want to be arrested or put in handcuffs -- but the cops explain they need to cuff him for everyone's safety.

Broner dropped some classic quotes during the incident including:

"I got two guns on me ... that's my arms! That's what I do for a living!"

LaVar Ball Fires Back at Nike Exec ... Watch Your Ass!

Published | Updated

Thought LaVar Ball was just gonna stay quiet after he was verbally attacked by a Nike exec???? Hell no!!

Lonzo Ball's father is hitting back hard at George Raveling -- Nike's global basketball sports marketing director who said this week that LaVar was the worst thing to happen to basketball in 100 years.

So, LaVar took to social media and basically said Raveling only made those comments because he's scared of the competition.

"Let me tell you something. I know I’m on the right step, 'cause if nothing like this happened in 100 years? Guess what ... we in a new lane, baby!"

"That Big Baller Brand about to be your competition!"

He also took a shot at Raveling personally saying he was a terrible best man because he stabbed someone in the back ... that someone is likely Sonny Vaccaro.

Sonny is most famous for getting Michael Jordan to Nike -- and getting Kobe Bryant to Adidas.

Vaccaro and Raveling were best friends -- until they had a famous falling out years ago.

All's fair in love and business, right?

WE WON'T STAND FOR THIS

Aaron Hernandez's family did not know the ex-NFL star left suicide notes for them until it was reported in the media ... and they're furious about it.

Attorney George Leontire went off in front of a judge about how officials have left the family in the dark about the circumstances surrounding Aaron's death.

Leontire says everyone is aware of the reports that Aaron allegedly had the words "John 3:16" on his forehead at the time of his death and other details ... but the family hasn't heard a peep from investigators.

"They don't know if that's true or not," Leontire said.

It's clear he's pissed and demanded officials loop the Hernandez family in ASAP.

Leontire was in court to get an order to prevent officials from destroying evidence surrounding Hernandez's death so they can investigate further.

The order was granted.

New England Patriots May Owe Aaron Hernandez $6 Mil ... Victim's Lawyer Claims

Published | Updated

The lawyer for Odin Lloyd's family says the New England Patriots may be on the hook to pay Aaron Hernandez $6 MILLION from his NFL contract ... but he wants the team to give the money to the victim's family instead.

Douglas Sheff -- who represents Lloyd's mother, Ursula Ward -- addressed the media about "abatement" ... the law in Massachusetts that essentially erases a conviction if the person dies before he's exhausted all of his appeals.

Sheff says he's spoken with experts who say if Hernandez's murder conviction is erased, the Patriots may be forced to pay out part of his contract ... which could total $6 million.

Sheff says the Lloyd family intends to fight like hell for that money.

He also makes a "friendly challenge" to the Patriots to work with the NFL Players Association in working out a deal to pay that money to the families of the victims in Hernandez's murder cases instead of giving it to Aaron's estate.

Don't hold your breath ... there's about a zero percent chance the Patriots do that because if the courts rule AH is entitled to the money, the team is obligated to pay it to the estate ... and then Sheff and others can fight for it.
