Donald Trump Sued Total Financial Fraud ... NY State Wants $250 Mil!!!

Published | Updated

Former President Donald Trump inflated his net worth by billions in order to get better loans, and now the state of NY is taking him to court over it ... seeking $250 million and penalties for his children too.

New York's Attorney General Letitia James announced the lawsuit Wednesday morning, alleging Trump engaged in widespread fraud for years to boost his real estate holdings. According to the suit, "The number of grossly inflated asset values is staggering, affecting most if not all of the real estate holdings in any given year.”

The AG adds, "All told, Mr. Trump, the Trump Organization, and the other Defendants, as part of a repeated pattern and common scheme, derived more than 200 false and misleading valuations of assets" over the course of 10 years ... 2011 to 2021.

The suit says the victims of Trump's alleged fraud were the lenders and financial institutions that did business with him based on those false numbers.

One example of Trump's alleged inflation of his assets focuses on his Mar-a-Lago estate. According to the suit, the South Florida property "should have been valued at about $75 million, but it was valued at $739 million."

The Empire State wants Trump's kids to pay a price as well. The lawsuit seeks to bar Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump from being officers of any company in the state.

Trump's attorney Alina Habba denies any wrongdoing on the former president's part, and says the lawsuit is "neither focused on the facts nor the law – rather, it is solely focused on advancing the Attorney General’s political agenda."

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg said, "Our criminal investigation concerning former President Donald J. Trump, the Trump Organization, and its leadership is active and ongoing."

GREETING THE CROWD

Adnan Syed, whose murder conviction was featured on the "Serial" podcast, is about to go free after spending more than 22 years of a life sentence.

A Baltimore Circuit Court judge overturned Adnan's conviction ... after prosecutors called for it, in light of new information there might have been 2 other possible suspects. The judge said Adnan should be released from prison immediately, and prosecutors now have 30 days to decide whether to file new charges.

Syed was a 17-year-old high school student when he got arrested in February 1999 for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee. He was convicted a year later. The podcast first shed light on Adnan's case in 2014, and raised a lot of questions about the case and his guilt.

Although, he had filed multiple appeals -- even attempting to get the case before the U.S. Supreme Court -- Adnan had been rejected every time. It wasn't until prosecutors poked holes in the case last month that he got what he would call justice.

Lee's brother, Young Lee, says he feels betrayed by prosecutors, and although he's not against further investigation into his sister's death, he adds ... "Everyday when I think it's over, or it's ended, it always comes back. It's killing me. It's really tough."

The "Serial" podcast Twitter account said there will be a new episode of the series released tomorrow.

Roger Federer I'm Retiring From Tennis ... 'A Bittersweet Decision'

Published

Tennis is losing another legend ... Roger Federer just announced he's calling it a career -- just days after Serena Williams officially hung up her racket.

The 41-year-old -- considered by many to be the greatest men's player ever -- revealed on his social media on Thursday morning that next week's Laver Cup event will be the final tournament of his legendary career.

"As many of you know, the past three years have presented me with challenges in the form of injuries and surgeries," Federer said.

"I've worked hard to return to full competitive form. But I also know my body's capacities and limits, and its message to me lately has been clear. I am 41 years old. I have played more than 1500 matches over 24 years. Tennis has treated me more generously than I ever would have dreamt, and now I must recognize when it is time to end my competitive career."

Federer said he still will play tennis -- "but just not in Grand Slams or on the tour."

"This is a bittersweet decision," he continued in his announcement, "because I will miss everything the tour has given me. But at the same time, there is so much to celebrate. I consider myself one of the most fortunate people on Earth. I was given a special talent to play tennis, and I did it at a level that I never imagined, for much longer than I ever thought possible."

Federer first turned pro in 1998 -- and quickly found success, winning his first Grand Slam singles trophy at Wimbledon in 2003. He went on to win 19 more major titles in his career -- while piling up over 100 ATP singles titles as well.

In his goodbye note to the sport, he thanked his wife, Mirka, his coaches, his fans and more for all of the support over the last two-plus decades of dominance.

"To the game of tennis," Federer said, "I love you and will never leave you."

RIDICULOUS REACTION

The mom who told her daughter to attack her opponent during a youth basketball game last year has been forced to cough up more than $9,000 in restitution to the teen victim ... after agreeing to enter a diversion program, TMZ Sports has learned.

Back in November, Tira Hunt was heard on video telling her daughter -- whose father is ex-NBA player Corey Benjamin -- to go after a rival player following an on-court collision in Garden Grove, CA.

The victim's mother went to cops over the violent incident ... and in December, Hunt was hit with two misdemeanor counts -- contributing to the delinquency of a minor and battery.

Hunt was facing up to one year in jail if convicted ... but on Wednesday, an Orange County Superior Court judge approved a diversion program that has a laundry list of conditions.

Among Hunt's requirements include the $9k payment, written apologies to the victim, her parents and the two basketball teams involved, and anger management classes before returning to basketball games. On top of that, Hunt has been forced to stay away from the victim.

Benjamin apologized for his daughter's actions following the incident ... saying that was not how he raised her.

"To the young lady who was punched by my daughter during a youth basketball game, I sincerely apologize to you and I am praying for your complete healing both physically and emotionally," he said.

Gov. Greg Abbott released a statement, saying, "I was outraged to learn that gang violence has endangered the Uvalde community and innocent Texans this evening," before concluding, "Gang violence has no place here in Texas, and we will bring the full force of justice down on these heinous criminals."

There's been another shooting in Uvalde, Texas ... with early reports of at least two people injured and cops looking for multiple suspects.

The Uvalde Police Department posted a message late Thursday afternoon, saying, "Please AVOID the area of the Uvalde Memorial Park. The Uvalde Police Department is currently investigating a shooting with injured victims."

CBS News correspondent, Lilia Luciano, posted a series of photos from the alleged crime scene showing an older model Chevrolet sedan surrounded by police tape and a couple of cop cars.

Luciano reports two injured victims who are being treated at a hospital. She says cops are looking for two possible suspects.

From all counts, it appears to be an isolated incident ... but of course, any gun violence in the Uvalde community is both frightening and extremely sensitive.

Queen Elizabeth II Dead at 96

Published | Updated
UPDATE

11:24 AM PT -- Prime Minister Liz Truss, who was just with the Queen on Tuesday, just addressed the nation.

UPDATE
UPDATE

11:08 AM PT -- King Charles III just released a statement. He says "the death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family."

UPDATE

"We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world."

UPDATE

"During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which the Queen was so widely held."

UPDATE

The statement refers to Charles as "His Majesty the King."

Queen Elizabeth II -- the longest-serving monarch in British history -- has died.

The Royal Family announced Thursday, "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon" ... just a few hours after the palace had announced she was under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle, her estate in Scotland.

They also made it clear, King Charles is now in power, writing, "The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."

It was clear the situation was dire when the palace told all of Elizabeth's children to rush to her side.

As it turns out, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been in the UK for events this week. Harry went to Balmoral.

QE2's last public appearance came on Tuesday when she met with England's new Prime Minister, Liz Truss.

Her overall condition had been in question for awhile -- with her Royal duties being scaled back over the past year, and trips she might normally make without a second thought, especially within the UK, being nixed on doctors' orders at the last minute ... without any real explanation.

Her family and the country celebrated the Platinum Jubilee -- a 4-day celebration -- in June, honoring the 70 years she's been on the throne.

It's a sad moment for all of the United Kingdom and its Commonwealth realms -- of which Queen Elizabeth served as head of state ... and for the entire world too, as Her Majesty was generally beloved around the globe.

Elizabeth ascended to the throne at a very young age, just 25, in 1952 after the sudden passing of her father, King George VI ... who died from respiratory complications, leaving his daughter to take on the mantle and all of its responsibilities.

It was a difficult time to take the reins, as Europe was still recovering from WWII.

And yet, there were more geopolitical challenges ahead ... and QE2 had to navigate a number of conflicts that directly affected her nation, including the Troubles of Northern Ireland, the UK's withdrawal from the European Union, and the gaining of sovereignty for several nation-states that used to be either fully or partially under UK rule -- including Canada.

Elizabeth also oversaw the decolonization of Africa and the Caribbean during her reign ... as well as other territories in South Asia like Sri Lanka, Pakistan and more that gained independence and became republics.

There are several worldwide events the Queen weighed in on over the years -- including Australia's pivot from a parliamentary government to a full-blown republic, the patriation of the Canadian constitution, military coups and conflicts, S. African apartheid, the Gulf War and countless other landmark moments of the 20th century ... several of which the Queen was either explicitly involved in, or at least publicly addressed.

For many, her opinions carried enormous influence.

Of course, as Elizabeth navigated the choppy waters of royalty ... she had her husband, Prince Philip, by her side through the majority of it -- not to mention her children -- as well as her extended Royal family, including her sister, cousins, aunts, uncles and the rest.

As you well know ... the Royals were the subject of much speculation, gossip, innuendo and intrigue -- but perhaps not nearly as much as when Elizabeth's son, Prince Charles, married Princess Diana ... a relationship that resulted in extra-marital affairs and scandals -- thrusting the Queen right back into the spotlight -- only this time, in a new way she never had been.

Of course, that only intensified when Diana died in a tragic accident -- the impact of which is still discussed as it pertains to the larger Royal family, and the Queen by extension.

030721_meghan_markle_archie_kal 3/7/21
CONCERNS ABOUT ARCHIE'S SKIN

Ditto for the relationship between her grandson, Harry, and his wife, Meghan -- who accused the Royal family, without naming names, of racism in an explosive interview with Oprah. While Elizabeth herself wasn't directly implicated in the alleged comments about their son, Archie, she certainly seems to have taken the accusations to heart.

The Queen appears to have taken issue with their characterization of the Royal family -- and, by extension, the institution of the monarchy itself -- with veiled comments like "some recollections may vary," which was essentially seen as a denial to Harry and Meg's claims.

Despite the latest fracture in her family ... the Queen carried on with dignity and a profound sense of duty -- always upholding the monarchy's traditions, and fulfilling her obligations with grace.

Even after her longtime hubby, Philip, passed away in 2021 ... Elizabeth held her head high and continued to meet with heads of state, be it at G7 summits or right there at Windsor Castle. Through and through, the Queen has risen to serve out her role.

Queen Elizabeth is survived by her 4 children, 8 grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren -- not to mention the many extended Royal family members that run the gamut.

She was 96.

Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie all reportedly made the one-hour flight to be by Elizabeth's side.

96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II will remain under doctors' care as concerns over her health continue to grow, this according to a new statement from Buckingham Palace.

"Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral," the palace statement, released Thursday, said.

The Queen's son Prince Charles, her grandson Prince William and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are heading to Balmoral to be with her. It was also just announced Harry and Meghan are on their way to join the rest of the family.

On Tuesday, Queen Elizabeth hung out with Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss, but she looked kind of frail. Upon hearing the news about the Queens' health, Truss tweeted that "the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime. My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time."

Recently, the Queen's health has deteriorated and her Royal duties have been scaled back over the past year. Several trips she would normally take have been canceled by her doctors with no explanation given.

Donovan Mitchell Traded To Cavs ... In Massive Deal

Published

Donovan Mitchell's days in Utah are over -- the NBA star has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a huge deal on Thursday.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted out the bombshell news just minutes ago -- the face of the Jazz franchise is officially on the move to northeast Ohio.

Mitchell -- who was drafted by the Nuggets out of Louisville -- spent all 5 of his seasons with the Jazz after being traded on draft night ... where he established himself as one of the game's best young stars.

The Cavs are sending Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen, Ochai Agbaji and three first-round picks to Utah ... and the rights to swap two other future picks in the deal.

The Knicks had been floated as a potential landing spot for Spida ... but their dreams were officially squashed after the Cavs -- who made the play-in tournament last year -- sealed the deal.

Utah appears to be in complete rebuild mode -- the team traded away Rudy Gobert, a 3-time Defensive Player of the Year, and now have shipped Donovan out of town as well.

Mitchell will join a young Cavs team that showed promise under head coach J.B. Bickerstaff -- and will now suit up alongside guys like Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley.

Missing CA Teen YouTube Dive Team ... Says They've Found Kiely Rodni

Published | Updated

A famous search and rescue dive team that inserted itself into the hunt for missing teenager, Kiely Rodni, claims they've found her ... but it doesn't sound like she's alive.

The YouTubers known as Adventures with Purpose -- which has millions of subscribers and followers across their social media channels -- made the claim Sunday, writing on their official Facebook page ... "WE JUST FOUND KIELY RODNI."

They go on to say that she is confirmed to be inside a vehicle that is upside down in about 14 feet of water, adding that the family has been notified and that law enforcement is on their way. As for where exactly they discovered her ... reports suggest it might be in Prosser Lake.

This is where Kiely first went missing weeks ago at the beginning of the month, and the search efforts thus far have been focused on this area. AWP literally just volunteered their service a day or two ago ... vowing to help locate her, and it appears they did just that.

As we reported ... Dog the Bounty Hunter told us he'd been getting tons of tips on her potential whereabouts, but was reluctant to jump into the high-profile missing persons case because of all the blowback he got from the Gabby Petito case.

Kiely went missing on Aug. 6 near Truckee, CA -- where she and a bunch of other youths were partying in the Lake Tahoe region.

She went missing late in the night, apparently without a trace ... and hasn't surfaced since. A massive undertaking has been underway to find her.

No other details have come to light yet as to how Kiely may have ended up in a car and submerged in the lake -- and if foul play is suspected.

Anne Heche died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries ... which she obviously sustained when her car went flying through the home of a woman in Mar Vista a couple weeks ago ... this according to the L.A. County Coroner.

Gene LeBell Dead At 89 Legendary Stuntman, Martial Artist, Wrestler

Published

The legendary "Judo" Gene LeBell -- possibly the most badass man to ever walk the earth -- has died at the age of 89, and some of the biggest sports stars in the world are showing love in light of his passing.

LeBell passed away Tuesday ... leaving behind an incomparable legacy in mixed martial arts and wrestling.

Nicknamed the "Godfather of Grappling," LeBell's journey to stardom began when he won the heavyweight and overall Amateur Athletic Union National Judo Championships in 1954 and 1955.

LeBell is widely credited with introducing catch wrestling and grappling techniques to pro wrestling and MMA.

Speaking of MMA ... long before Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock fought at UFC 1 (1993), Gene fought in the first televised bout in America in 1963.

Gene, with his judo and grappling, beat top-ranked light-heavyweight boxer Milo Savage.

LeBell also trained some of Hollywood's biggest names like Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee.

Gene and Bruce first met during filming of the TV show "The Green Hornet" ... and became friends, often training together.

He also served as the referee for Muhammad Ali's crossover bout with Antonio Inoki in 1976.

Gene, also an actor and stuntman, appeared in hundreds of movies (there's a totally unverified story about LeBell and Steven Seagal going at it on set -- look it up).

Expertise aside, LeBell was revered for his relationships with fighters and wrestlers over his storied career, most notably former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Gene trained Rousey (a former Judo star) ... and he also worked with WWE legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, the inspiration for the "Rowdy Ronda" character.

On Wednesday, Ronda posted a photo of her and Gene together ... captioning the pic, "Legend."

Triple H, a 14-time WWE champ, took to Twitter to express his gratitude and appreciation for Gene's contributions to the industry over the years.

"Gene LeBell remained a towering figure in the history and expansion of mixed martial arts and sports entertainment," HHH wrote. "A teacher to many of the sport’s greats, his influence is felt throughout @WWE to this day."
