Lamar Odom checked himself into rehab out of fear he'd go on a major bender as his deceased son's birthday approached ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Lamar's son, Jayden, was born Dec 15, 2005, but died the following June from SIDS. We're told his son's death was the primary reason he started doing hardcore drugs ... and he was keenly aware the birthday might push him over the edge again.

As we reported, our Lamar sources say he went to a San Diego area facility late last week.

We're told Lamar's also struggling with the fact his divorce from Khloe will be final on Saturday, and he didn't want to be tempted to use.

Lamar is shooting for a 60 day rehab stint. He bailed after 3 weeks when he attempted rehab in 2012.

George Jung, the guy Johnny Depp played in "Blow," claims his own manager betrayed him by turning him in to cops for a parole violation ... but the manager tells a different story.

Sources close to the former cocaine smuggler tell TMZ ... Denis Rizzo convinced Jung it was cool for him to travel to San Diego for work by telling him his parole officer had approved. Our Jung sources say the P.O. never really did sign off.

We're told Jung thinks Rizzo pulled the ultimate rat move -- allegedly telling the P.O. to get Jung in trouble.

Rizzo denies any ratting, and in fact, says his own attorney advised it was fine for George to make the San Diego trip -- but George made the final decision to go.

As for why Rizzo would turn in his client, sources close to George claim it's because there's some bad blood there. According to Sacramento PD, Jung filed a police report in October claiming Rizzo forged his signature and tried to steal his money.

Rizzo says he's never been charged or convicted of forgery in his life, and all allegations against him are "baseless."

We're told Jung plans to bring up his manager's alleged dirty trick at his next court date -- but for now he's sitting in jail ... held without bail.

Rande Gerber and George Clooney just locked up their Boss of The Year awards with a booze-filled trip to Mexico for their Casamigos employees.

The tequila jefes flew about 50 staffers down south for the company's holiday party at El Dorado Royale resort in Cabo. George couldn't make it due to his side gig -- filming a movie -- but looks like Rande and co-owner Mike Meldman more than held down the fort.

It wasn't all fun and games on the beach though. They also had to board the Casamigos yacht.

Lamar Odom has checked himself into a rehab facility ... TMZ has confirmed.

Lamar is getting treatment in the San Diego area, and made the decision to go on his own ... according to a source close to the former NBA star. We're told he's been there for 4 days, and will remain there for an extended stay.

In the last year, we've seen Odom drinking at bars -- most notably on Easter weekend -- despite his hardcore addiction, and near fatal OD a year ago. Earlier this month, he was at Delilah in West Hollywood, although we don't know if he was drinking there.

Khloe Kardashian convinced him to enter treatment once before, in August 2012, but he only stayed for 3 weeks.

We broke the story ... a judge has finally signed off on Lamar and Khloe's divorce, and they'll officially be single on December 17.

E! first reported Lamar's rehab stint.

3:50 PM PT -- According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, cops found Floyd asleep in his 2016 Cadillac Escalade at a stop light. They became suspicious of his vehicle cause it didn't move when the light turned green.

Police say the engine was running and Floyd's foot was on the brake, so they blocked his car and pounded on the windows until he woke up and put the car in park.

According to the report, cops asked the wide receiver to get out of the car several times -- and eventually had to help him out. They say his speech was slurred and he reeked of booze.

Police say Floyd told them he was on his way to the airport to pick up his nephew -- and that he had drank a couple glasses of "house cabernet" a few hours earlier.

He originally said he had been drinking at the W Hotel, but then changed his story and said he drank on the plane ride home from Miami.

Cops arrested him on DUI charges, and then added a failure to obey a lawful order charge because he refused to take a breath test.

Arizona Cardinals star Michael Floyd was arrested on DUI charges early Monday morning ... after police found the wide receiver unconscious behind the wheel of his car ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Floyd -- who was also arrested for driving drunk during his time at Notre Dame -- was booked for 2 counts of DUI, obstructing a roadway and failure to obey an officer.

The Cardinals had just gotten back from Miami after losing to the Dolphins 26-23. Floyd had 2 catches for 18 yards.

Robin Williams and Tupac smuggled a HUGE amount of pot through Arizona and got busted ... at least that's how this case reads at first glance.

Law enforcement says Arizona State Troopers arrested 19-year-old Tupac Crum and 21-year-old Robin Williams near the city of Payson after finding them with 114 pounds of weed during a traffic stop.

Cops suspected something fishy and brought out a drug-sniffing dog to check out their Chevy pickup ... and they say they found 5 big bundles of pot stashed in the bed. Cops say the drugs have a street value of about $69,000.

Judge Reinhold made a super awkward joke with a Miami disc jockey about cocaine, 16-year-old boys and one of the Judge's classic movies ... just hours before his arrest.

Reinhold phoned into the “Paul and Young Ron" show Thursday morning and reprimanded a DJ for letting his kid watch "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."

In Reinhold's defense ... the flick is rated R for some of the best nudity, drug and solo sex scenes ("Doesn't anyone f***ing knock anymore?") in Hollywood history.

Judge might have a good point. Just a curious reference considering what went down shortly after this.

George Jung, the guy Johnny Depp played in "Blow," is back in jail for violating his parole, but he's blaming it all on his manager.

Sources close to the infamous cocaine smuggler tell us George took a trip to San Diego to make a little cash for appearing at an event. We're told he couldn't get a hold of his parole officer, but Jung says his manager insisted it'd be okay ... since it was only a 4 hour work trip.

That wasn't the case. He was arrested Tuesday when he got home to Sacramento.

According to jail records ... George, who was released in 2014 after serving 20 years for running drugs, was booked in Sacramento County jail on Dec. 6. He's not eligible for bail, given his record, so he's still behind bars until his next court date.

Now, after serving more than 60 days in jail, he's out ... but with strings attached.

Ball is now on probation for the next 18 months and MUST remain sober as part of the deal.

He must also submit to random drug and alcohol testing and complete a domestic violence treatment course.

One last thing ... he must also stay away from any bars, taverns or liquor stores -- so, no turning up at the club tonight.

UFC superstar Nick Diaz says he's the "face of weed for athletes" ... and isn't afraid to admit it.

In fact, Diaz says he's the "Number 1 athletic stoner besides Michael Phelps."

Diaz -- who's tested positive for weed on several occasions -- appeared on "The Jasta Show" and explained why athletes should be ALLOWED to smoke marijuana ... especially after a fight.

You gotta listen to Diaz explain it ... but essentially says he relies on weed to get his head right ... especially after he's been knocked out and he's discombobulated.

Diaz admits weed can be performance enhancing ... but no more so than vitamins.

There's also this ... Nick says his brother, Nate Diaz, was NOT smoking CBD oil after his UFC 202 loss to Conor McGregor -- he was blazing up good ol' fashioned weed.

Here's Greg Hardy looking blue during a court hearing in Dallas Wednesday ... where he's facing a cocaine charge stemming from a Sept. arrest.

Nothing big happened inside the courtroom -- the hearing was kicked to Dec. 19 -- but outside, Hardy's attorneys hinted at his possible defense ... saying footage of the arrest is disturbing, according to FOX 4.

As we previously reported, Hardy was arrested on Sept. 25 and charged with 1 count of felony possession of a controlled substance ... after cops say they found coke in his wallet.

The guy who let Lady Gaga stroke his golden chin was bad at romance, but apparently worse at driving ... he got busted twice for DUI in less than 2 months.

Burbank cops tell TMZ Yuri Bradac -- who starred in Gaga's "Bad Romance" video -- was arrested for DUI last week after crashing into a wall at a Chevron station.

Bradac was also popped for drunk driving last month. He pled no contest and he's on probation, which makes the most recent DUI all the more serious, because it comes with mandatory jail time.

As if that's not bad enough ... Bradac refused to take a sobriety test after being arrested last week, which means his license will be automatically suspended for a year.

Bradac has had a lot of success in music videos over the years ... he's appeared with J Lo, Enrique Iglesias and Timbaland.
