Bam Margera Arrested for DUI After Close Encounter with Cops
Bam Margera got busted Sunday morning for DUI, and he made it pretty easy for cops to make the arrest ... TMZ has learned.
We're told Bam drove past CHP officers who were in the middle of stopping someone else, and when he slowed down, cops saw him on his phone, and told him to pull over. When the officers spoke to the "Jackass" star, we're told they detected a strong scent of alcohol.
Cops gave him a field sobriety test, and he took a Breathalyzer before they booked him for DUI. His bail was set at $15k -- about $10k more than usual -- but he was eventually released around 2:30 PM on his own recognizance.
This is Bam's first DUI arrest, but he's battled alcohol abuse for years. Just last year, he spoke about embracing sobriety. He and his wife had a son in December.
You'll recall his friend Ryan Dunn was killed while drunk driving in 2011.

Coachella 2018 Still No-Go on Weed Even Though Cali Says Yes
Coachella 2018 falls on 4/20, but those hoping to score and smoke weed openly in Indio are outta luck, despite California legalizing it.
The city of Indio, where Coachella takes place, is cracking down on marijuana use. The city isn't allowing the selling, cultivating or distributing of cannabis. Under the new law, each town can decide whether to allow recreational weed sales, and -- sorry to harsh your Queen Bey buzz -- Indio's decided it's a no.
Coachella isn't allowing marijuana or marijuana products on the festival site either.
The city of Indio still has to abide by state law which now allows you to possess a small amount of bud for personal use, but you can't smoke it out in the open.
One glimmer of hope -- neighboring cities like Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs are all weed-friendly, so if you're over 21 you can hit up a licensed dispensary there.
Pregame!

NFL's T.J. Ward Arrested Over 99 Grams of Weed
Tampa Bay Bucs safety T.J. Ward had 99.9 grams of weed in plain sight when cops entered his apartment back in October ... and that's ultimately why he was arrested Wednesday morning.
TMZ Sports obtained the criminal report from the Oct. 25 incident -- that shows cops responded to Ward's apartment for an active intrusion alarm at 4:45 PM.
When cops arrived, they knocked on the door and announced themselves -- a woman inside the place told the officers to "come in."
Just one problem ... cops say all the weed was in plain view on a coffee table. Oops.
There was apparently no emergency -- the alarm may have been an accident -- but when cops saw the weed, they busted both T.J. and the woman for felony marijuana possession.
We're told, Ward was only formally charged on Dec. 29 -- and that's when a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Wednesday morning, cops went to his apartment and arrested him.
As for the weed, cops say Ward didn't exactly play the "it's not mine" card -- and admitted to occasionally smoking.
Ward has been released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
And in case you're wondering what 100 grams of weed looks like, here's a video ...

NFL's Todd Haley & Wife In NYE Bar Fight ... Coach Suffers Hip Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley had a messed up New Year's Eve -- he and his wife were escorted out of a bar during an NYE scuffle ... with Todd reportedly injuring his hip in the process.
The Pittsburgh Police Dept. have confirmed cops were called to the Tequila Cowboy restaurant just after midnight "for a minor scuffle involving Haley's wife."
"The scuffle was quickly ended. Todd Haley was not involved nor injured. Todd and Christine Haley were escorted out. No injuries. No charges."
But the drama continued OUTSIDE the bar, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport who says Todd was shoved to the ground in a 2nd altercation.
The Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed Todd was injured -- but expect him to return to work this week.
So far, no arrests have been made.
Haley's not the first Steelers coach to be involved in a bar fight -- last January, Joey Porter was arrested outside of a Pittsburgh bar after getting into it with a bouncer. He eventually pled guilty to disorderly conduct.
