Eagles Fans Make Super Gay Super Bowl Mix-Up

Published | Updated

The Eagles are a football team from Philly.

The "Eagle" is a common name for gay bars all across the world.

So, when a bunch of straight Eagles fans went to Minnesota for the Super Bowl and saw a watering hole called the "Eagle Bolt Bar" ... they didn't realize they were hitting up one of the top gay bars in town!

The good news ... it didn't matter for some of the patrons who stuck around and had a great time, according to Star Tribune's Eric Roper.

"I can confirm a number of Eagles fans here at @eagleBoltbar were drawn by the name. Including a guy from Hamburg, Germany," Roper reported.

Good news ... if they stick around, they can hit "Gear Night" on Saturday -- where patrons are encouraged to wear their finest leather & chain outfits (dress code enforced).

PROUD TO BE THERE

Transgender Army Staff Sergeant Patricia King has a seat for the State of the Union Address, and says she's going with an open mind, despite President Trump's attempted transgender ban in the military.

Sgt. King's been serving for 20 years, and will be Rep. Joe Kennedy's guest. Although Joe's delivering the Democratic response to Trump ... she tells us she's not taking sides.

The sarge insists she'll give the Prez the benefit of the doubt heading into his first State of the Union. Why so forgiving?

King explained it's the same reason she puts on her uniform every day.

Shemar Moore's heard the rumors he's gay because he's frequently dateless for big events -- but says "Quantico" star Anabelle Acosta should take care of that.

We got Shemar with Anabelle Monday at LAX, on their way back from the Grammys. While they happily posed at the award show, Anabelle was a little camera shy with us. Shemar was dying to tell us about how he hooked up with her.

The "S.W.A.T." star handed out some major props to the people who helped him get in touch with Anabelle. So, did they make a love connection? Check out the video -- for what Shemar says and what they did together.

THE SPORT IS READY

Liz Carmouche -- the UFC's first openly lesbian fighter -- says public perception has come a long way since she came out ... and the UFC is finally ready to accept a gay male athlete.

"I do actually believe that a man could come out as openly gay and he could rise to the top," Liz told TMZ Sports.

You might remember ... Liz broke the glass ceiling back in 2013, when she fought Ronda Rousey in the UFC's inaugural women's title fight.

Back then, Carmouche had serious doubts about a man following in her footsteps ... but says she feels differently now after experiencing how LGBTQ fighters are treated in MMA gyms like her own (San Diego Combat Academy).

Liz -- who recently partnered with HempMeds -- also told us why she thinks the UFC's at a place where it can let its fighters smoke weed ... even though she's way more of an advocate for CBD oil.

Teletubby Tinky Winky Actor Simon Shelton Dies at 52

Published | Updated

One of the guys who played Tinky Winky -- the allegedly gay Teletubby -- has died.

Simon Shelton died last week, according to his son, who told the BBC his dad passed last Wednesday. Shelton's niece, Emily Atack, said her uncle was "taken so suddenly."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Simon scored the "Teletubbies" role as the purple Teletubby after the original actor was fired in 1997. He stayed in the purple suit through 2001.

Tinky Winky was accused of being gay by deceased televangelist Jerry Falwell, who once wrote ... "He is purple -- the gay pride color, and his antenna is shaped like a triangle -- the gay pride symbol."

Yes, that actually happened.

Shelton was 52. RIP

2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY...

Tank is solidly behind Migos rapper Offset for using the term "Queer" on a track, saying the word is not always a slur against gay people.

We got Tank Sunday at LAX, and he bristled at the criticism over the track "Boss Life," which features Offset, saying the word is sometimes used in the rap game for people who aren't cool.

Fact is ... if you survey people on the word it's safe to say most would tell you it's a pejorative term against gay people.

That's certainly the way Kanye West felt 13 years ago when he appeared on MTV.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Managers Strike Back ... You Owe Us Over $180k!!!

Published | Updated

Adore Delano from "RuPaul's Drag Race" wasn't stiffed by his ex-managers -- he actually owes THEM a lot of dough ... or so they claim in a new countersuit.

Delano's managers at Producer Entertainment Group say the drag queen failed to pay them at least $180,000 in management fees.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, PEG says they're entitled to collect 20 percent off of Delano's concert, YouTube and merch revenues. They also say they believe he's made about $100k from YouTube alone, and about $800k from online and tour merch.

In addition to denying Delano's original allegations, PEG claims Delano hasn't paid them their fair share of that cash. They're asking a judge for at least $180k, and then some in interest.

Drag Queen Courtney Act Mothertucker!!! Loses Skirt on Live TV

UK Celebrity Big Brother fans got an eyeful of famed drag queen Courtney Act Friday night on live TV ... as her skirt suddenly tore away during her big entrance.

The show's debut -- always a huge event on English TV -- was airing on BBC when Court strolled down a grand staircase, and then shockingly lost it all. With no underwear for safety, the broadcast cut away to a super-wide overhead camera angle ... while Courtney scrambled for the skirt.

Courtney, whose real name is Shane Jenek, picked up, carried on and entered the BB house ... and is now quarantined.

Awesome ice breaker for the first house meeting!

Sam Smith I Found My Unicorn And We're IG Offish!

Unicorns and rainbows go hand-in-hand with bliss, and it looks like Sam Smith has found his with "13 Reasons Why" star Brandon Flynn.

Smith essentially confirmed he and Flynn are an item by posting a pic of the two of them together in a London elevator wearing matching unicorn headgear.

Rumors the two were dating began to swirl back in October when Smith and Flynn were spotted making out on the streets of New York City, but they never confirmed they were a couple.

Sam's not the only one making them IG offish. Flynn also shared the pic with the caption, "Rare sighting in London." We're guessing not the last.

Caitlyn Jenner Hits UCLA Hoops Game ... No Ball? No Problem!

Published | Updated

UCLA basketball is still drawing big stars in the crowd -- even without the Ball family -- with Caitlyn Jenner sitting courtside while the Bruins took on the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Jenner sat courtside with her publicist and longtime friend, Alan Nierob -- a UCLA grad who's a big shot on campus (he's on the board of visitors).

Unfortunately for Cait and Alan, the Bruins lost -- perhaps because all 3 players from the infamous China shoplifting fiasco are still not on the court.

As you know ... LiAngelo Ball ain't ever coming back -- he's off to Lithuania ... but his picture is still on the UCLA basketball tickets.

Awkward!!

Floyd Mayweather Vouches for Anti-Gay Alleged Warlord

Published | Updated

Floyd Mayweather has a new member of The Money Team -- Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov ... an alleged violent warlord who unapologetically hates gay people.

Floyd met up with Kadyrov during a recent trip to Chechnya -- buddying up with Kadyrov and urging his fans to follow Ramzan on Instagram.

But here's the problem ... Kadyrov has a very controversial past -- littered with accusations of human rights violations from kidnapping to torture and murder. He's denied all wrongdoing.

But what's undeniable ... Kadyrov says he doesn't want gay people in his country and has said on the record he'd ship them all to Canada if he could.

The U.S. State Dept. issued a warning in April 2017 saying it was "increasingly concerned" about the anti-LGBT movement in Chechnya -- after "numerous credible reports" indicating gay people were being detained, tortured and even killed based on their sexual orientation.

But Kadyrov's a huge sports fan -- LOVES combat sports -- and Floyd seems to see past the other stuff.

Roy Moore Spokesman Left Silent on Live TV By Bible, Law Lesson

Published | Updated

Roy Moore's spokesman was a deer in the headlights when he got into a brief, but epic, debate with CNN's Jake Tapper about Muslims swearing on Bibles.

Ted Crockett was a guest on Tapper's show Tuesday when Tapper asked him why Moore doesn't believe Muslims can serve in Congress. Crockett fired off a shaky explanation related to Muslims and the Bible -- but, when Jake dropped some legal knowledge on him ... there was super awkward silence. Like, biblical.

Things got even more uncomfy when it came to the topic of homosexuality.

TIME FOR A CHANGE

The guy running against Kim Davis -- who once denied him a marriage license because he's gay -- says he's not gunning for her job out of revenge.

We spoke to David Ermold about his campaign for Rowan County Clerk in Kentucky. As we reported ... he actually had to turn in his candidate paperwork to Davis herself. We asked him what it was like coming face-to-face with her, and while he admits it was tense -- it doesn't sound like it was a battle royal.

Surprisingly, Dave doesn't have 1 mean thing to say about Kim, even though she screwed him. Like he says -- no grudges here, just time for a change in ideas ... and he certainly walks that walk.

Kentucky County Clerk Election Gay Man Denied Marriage License Says ... Bring it On, Kim!!!

County Clerk Kim Davis may have refused to issue David Ermold a marriage license, but she was powerless to stop him from running against her.

David was face-to-face with Davis Wednesday when he filed docs for the position of Rowan County Clerk in Kentucky -- the position Davis currently holds.

She famously turned him away 2 years ago because she was opposed to gay marriage on religious grounds.

So far Donald Trump hasn't weighed in ... but we're guessing he'll find this one irresistible.

The primary is next May.

Abby Wambach: 'Idiots' Stole My Car ... Wrote Hate Speech

Published | Updated

Soccer legend Abby Wambach says she's the victim of a hate crime -- claiming some "idiots" stole her car for a joy ride ... and then returned it with hate speech scribbled all over the inside.

"They stole valuables including a purse and wallet (gift to my wife)," the former Team USA star said in a post on Instagram ... "and wrote hate speech in Sharpie all over the inside of our car."

Wambach says the incident occurred Wednesday morning (between the hours of 1:34 AM and 4:30 AM) at the Florida home where she lives with her wife, Glennon Doyle.

"They were Caucasian (3 of them). One had a hoodie with cargo shorts. The driver had an Ohio State hat on (O on front of hat) of red or black hat. Same guy had grey top, Nike shorts and Nike shoes. Also, they left finger prints on the car door when they left it back with us."

Wambach says surveillance cameras captured the license plate of a car they believe belongs to the scumbags.

"This neighborhood has each other’s backs. Neighbors camera got you, you idiots!! If you turn yourself in now, and return the stolen property, and pay for the car damages we won’t press charges. If you don’t, you are going to go to jail. You have 24 hours. If you have any info get in touch. Thanks everyone."

TMZ Sports spoke with local law enforcement and we're told they are "aware and investigating."
