Jennifer Lopez Oh, That Guy Behind Me in the Gym??? ... That Was Just Zoom

Published | Updated

Jennifer Lopez finally dished on a mystery people have been trying to ID for weeks now -- revealing the creepy floating face that popped up in one of her latest gym selfies.

She made the revelation on a recent appearance on 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon, eventually getting past the pleasantries and asking what America wanted to really know ... WHO THE HELL WAS THAT GUY WITH A HAND OVER HIS MOUTH?!?

The answer's not as salacious as some might've expected -- J Lo says it was just a dude her fiance, Alex Rodriguez, was talking to on Zoom on the other side of their gym window.

We'll let Jen explain for herself here, but basically ... with the way they have their gym set up, and where they have one of their laptops perched for Zoom chats, the two just happened to overlap and captured this guy A-Rod was chatting up in a very scary pose.

She doesn't know for sure who exactly it was -- other than the fact that he's in real estate -- or why he had his hand over his face (might've been a sneeze or a cough) ... but the good news is that it wasn't some rando creepin' on Jennifer from behind. That's low-key what some folks thought it was at first, and thank God that didn't turn out to be the case.

Thanks for clearing that up, J Lo! We can finally rest easy now.

North Carolina Airport Insanely Long Lines ... Passengers Fuming Over Missed Flights

Published | Updated

It looks like business as usual at one airport in North Carolina ... where passengers are PISSED, and it has nothing to do with no one social distancing.

This is the scene right now at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina on Memorial Day, where long lines have wrapped around the lobby just to get through TSA. A reporter there says the travelers are getting furious over missed flights.

Based on the video, you wouldn't think the country's in the middle of a pandemic right now. If ya look closely, you can see it's about a 50-50 split on people wearing masks or not.

Most of the major airlines have said they will attempt social distancing by underbooking flights -- but doesn't seem like that's gonna be possible tonight in Charlotte.

You'll recall a UCSF scientist snapped a pic earlier this month showing his United Airlines flight packed like sardines ... a situation that made many customers uneasy.

Every row was packed to capacity ... including the middle seats.

Point is ... if ya think they're restless in Charlotte now, it could be getting a lot hairier once they actually get onto a flight.

We'll see if cooler heads prevail.

Trump vs. Biden Candidates Have Memorial Day Covered ... Well, At Least One of Them

Published | Updated

Elections are about choices, and 2020 is shaping up to be an imagery choice -- do you like your President with or without a mask?

Trump paid tribute to fallen heroes Monday at Arlington National Cemetery and later Baltimore's historic Fort McHenry, and he was true to form -- no mask. He's made it clear ... he's not going to wear a mask in public -- as he put it, he doesn't want to give reporter that satisfaction -- but he was seen once at a Michigan Ford plant wearing a mask behind a curtain.

Meanwhile, Joe and his wife, Jill, ventured outside for the first time since the shelter-at-home orders were implemented and his presidential campaign came to a screeching halt. The former VP and Jill laid a wreath during a visit to a veterans memorial in Delaware.

Joe, Jill and even his secret service detail all wore black masks.

Although a mask is a scientifically-based precaution, it's also become a political symbol. Trump clearly is telling his supporters NOT to wear them ... almost as if it's a sign of weakness. Biden clearly begs to differ.

To paraphrase someone famous ... feels like a choice.

Staten Island Shoppers Gang Up on Woman ... No Mask, Git Outta Here!!!

Published
Staten Island
KICKED OUT!!!

To mask or not to mask -- Staten Island shoppers are beyond debating that issue ... instead they're just shouting rule-breakers right out of stores.

It was straight-up mob justice when a woman went shopping for groceries this weekend without wearing a face covering. You can see in the video, she tried to stand her ground. Tried.

Eventually, a handful of her very loud fellow shoppers -- who were wearing masks -- let the woman know what time it was ... time to get the hell outta the store.

No Karens needed here to call cops, cause you can tell ... Staten Island doesn't play. For the record, NY Gov. Cuomo ordered face masks to be worn in public in all places where social distancing is not possible. That includes stores, public transportation and even busy sidewalks. Makes sense as NY state was the epicenter of COVID-19 ... with more than 23,000 deaths.

As the Governor put it, "How can you not wear a mask when you're going to come close to a person?"

Someone might wanna ask Staten Island Suzy that before her next trip to the grocery store.

UCSB's College Town IV Businesses Could Dry Up ... If Students Skip Fall

Published | Updated

College towns in the U.S. are biting their fingernails at the prospect of students being kept home for the upcoming fall semester, including one prominent California university ... UCSB.

We called up several small businesses operating in the bordering campus neighborhood of Isla Vista, and they all pretty much told us the same thing ... they need kids to come back to school this fall, or else they'll have little to no clientele and, more importantly, employees.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Take Woodstock's, a famous pizza joint around there. A manager tells TMZ that a vast majority of their workforce is made up of students, and if they're told to stay home when September rolls around ... there won't be enough staff to man the ship throughout the year.

That, obviously, could spell trouble for keeping the business afloat. Not only would there be a reduced staff, but there'd also be virtually no one to sell the food to if students vanish.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Ditto for Rockfire Grill -- they tell us 80% of their employees are students, and they put it bluntly ... no students, means no business. They're now ramping up marketing efforts to reach folks outside of UCSB's immediate vicinity ... perhaps in Goleta or Ventura, perhaps.

Funny enough, one store that's doing well is Isla Vista Bicycle Boutique, which says tons of people are buying their bikes right now. They do acknowledge though ... if students aren't around in the fall -- they too will be hurting financially, as they rely on those customers.

It's a problem that probably applies to several colleges and neighboring towns. And, with UCSB still undecided on what to do, it could mean at least 3 months of a ghost town.

Wild Ozark Lake Party Pass the Corona

Crowded Pool Party
PANDEMIC PARTYIN'

If you need guidance on social distancing ... look away.

Apparently, these folks didn't see the sign that read, "Please practice social distancing: 6 ft apart."

The shindig went down at a Memorial Day party at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The lake was filled with boats, and sun worshipers and ... well, looked just like any other Memorial Day.

The Governor partially re-opened the state, but with safety guidelines, including social distancing. It was clearly lost on all these people. BTW, the video was shot by Scott Pasmore, a reporter with the CBS affiliate.

The state has also allowed restaurants and other businesses to re-open. The question ... will this happen there?

Pretty much every state has partially re-opened, and hopefully, it's the beginning of a return to life. Problem is ... this is exactly how the disease spreads -- close contact without protection.  One person can infect dozens, and each of those dozens can infect dozens more ... and so on and so on.

'Floribama Shore' Kirk Medas Pulled Celeb Card During GA Bust ... Do You Know Who I Am?!??

MOUTHIN' OFF

Here's "Floribama Shore" star Kirk Medas pulling the ol' "don't you know who I am?" card on cops during his arrest down in Georgia ... and it backfires in spectacular fashion.

Kirk was arrested for disorderly conduct this month in Woodstock, GA ... and he tried to tout his celebrity status as he was being hauled off in handcuffs.

Kirk yells, "I'm on a TV show by the way," as cops slap on a pair of cuffs and curious bystanders laugh as they try to figure out exactly what the hell he's famous for.

Kirk ain't lying ... dude was a regular on the "Jersey Shore" spin-off ... but it seems he doesn't really know his audience. The bystanders definitely didn't know him.

As for the arrest ... cops say they were responding to a call regarding a drunk and disorderly male, later identified as Kirk, who had been kicked outta Pure Taqueria.

Police say bar staff told Kirk he had to hit the road after he threw up, and that's when he allegedly became belligerent. Medas was cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

In the video, you hear bystanders saying cops have their guns trained on Kirk ... but the cops say they just pulled out tasers.

Bad publicity is good publicity ... maybe you'll be recognized next time, Kirk.

Alyssa Milano Here's My Sure-Fire, Hand-Knit Mask ... It's Got a Filter Inside!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

3:31 PM PT -- Turns out Alyssa DOES have something underneath to keep the 'rona out -- there's a filter inside ... which she just pointed out to her followers.

UPDATE
UPDATE

She tweeted out the update, saying ... "Mask has a filter in it for f**** sake. A carbon one. My mom makes them. 🙄 #WearAMask."

UPDATE

Glad she cleared that up, 'cause for a minute there ...

Alyssa Milano's new face mask is getting the double-take treatment -- 'cause it's got tons of holes in it ... and it's unclear if she's aware of its ineffectiveness.

The actress posted a photo Saturday of her in the car with her fam, including hubby Dave Bugliari and their two kids, Elizabella and Milo. Everyone had masks on -- including Alyssa -- but hers was about as penetrable as a fishnet ... looks like a homemade crochet job.

She definitely had the covering in mind when throwing this up, saying ... "Show me your masks! Masks keep people safe and healthy. Show me yours! Ready? Go! #WearAMask"

Now, it's unclear if Alyssa's in on the absurdity of this, or if she's got some type of protection under there we can't see -- but the internet didn't wait for a punchline or more context ... people had a field day with her hand-knit mask promo, showing off other joke-y ones that might be just as great at keeping out droplets of 'rona (why we wear 'em to begin with).

One lady showed off a feather mask, which only covered the upper part of her face ... and said they're one in the same. Tons of other people had examples of non-protective masks of their own ... snorkeling goggles, pantyhose, mesh beekeeping veils ... and on and on.

Waiting for your permission to load TikTok Post.

Of course, it also reminded people of this gas station lady that went viral a few weeks back ... who cut a hole in her own mask so she could breathe easier. Just one of many mask fails documented during the pandemic.

Both that woman and Alyssa might be better off going out with a classic hands-to-face shocked look 🙊. Stay safe out there, y'all.

Ex-North Carolina Representative Damn You, Pottery Barn ... F*** Appointments, Let Me In!!!

Published | Updated

A former North Carolina state politician is balling up his digital fists at one ABSOLUTELY essential store refusing to let just anyone through their doors ... yep, it's Pottery Barn.

The guy's name is Scott Stone, and he served in North Carolina's House of Representatives a few years back -- now, he's an angry old man yelling at his local in-mall PB for standing firm on their by-appointment-only policy, which is super inconvenient to him.

Rep. Stone writes, "Dear @potterybarn (and other retailers) : I am NOT shopping by appointment. You're allowed to be open, so be open." He had another must-hear gripe ... "And why close at 5 when mall is open until 7? Do you actually want to sell anything?"

Pottery Barn's sign here reads, "We're Open 11-5 by Appointment Only! Call 704-442-9493 to schedule! Important Note: We Will Begin Taking Returns on 5/25. We Can't Wait to See You!!" They're in Charlotte's SouthPark mall, which reopened its doors a couple weeks ago.

We tried calling them up for comment ... but the staff there didn't wanna talk. At any rate, Rep. Stone had some follow-up thoughts on the mockery he's receiving, saying ... "Love how lefties are so worked up about my last tweet which highlights the frustrations so many have about how slow NC economy is reopening - slower than most states. Maybe they believe govt should continue to write checks forever and keep the entire economy closed?"

The big question we have over all this ... what did the guy so desperately need at Pottery Barn???

Polish Zoo Man Jumps into Bear Enclosure ... Attacks, Tries to Drown Animal

Published | Updated
Bear Attack
BEAR-Y DUMB MOVE

A man who was allegedly drunk broke into a bear exhibit at a zoo in Poland and tried to drown the massive beast in front of tons of horrified onlookers ... and it's all on video.

The wild scene went down at the Warsaw Zoo, where a 23-year-old man was filmed trying to shove the bear's head underwater as they struggled in the enclosure's moat.

The insane video picks up with the man inside the exhibit, and the bear charges at the guy, who jumps into the water. The bear eventually makes its way into the moat as well, and then all hell breaks loose.

You see the guy shoving the bear's head underwater with both hands, putting all his weight on the captive animal as he tries to keep the bear submerged. After a struggle, the bear seems to give up and the guy lets go and climbs out of the water.

It's kinda sad ... the zoo says the bear, Sabina, is an elderly animal who was rescued from a circus, and it's not the first time she's been attacked. The zoo also says the bear was not physically hurt, but was mentally stressed and nervously growled in the water until zookeepers arrived.

The guy is now facing prosecution for the incident, and the zoo say it will take all legal steps to bring him to justice.

Man Named Jesus Confesses After Vandalizing Church ... Arrested In N.C.

Published | Updated

A North Carolina man named Jesus has confessed after vandalizing a local church's historic stained glass window ... this according to cops.

Police arrested Jesus Jose Arellano after he used a foot-long sandstone rock to smash a Tiffany glass window at Grace Moravian Church. The stained glass window, which dates back nearly 100 years to 1925, now has a 2-square-foot hole thanks to Jesus.

Cops say Jesus confessed to his sins when he was arrested the day after the vandalism -- in a nearby cemetery, no less. Jesus was charged with injury to real property.

Jesus had to work pretty hard to vandalize the church ... cops say he used the sandstone to break through 6 inches of Plexiglass before smashing the stained glass window.

Neil Ruth, the church's pastor told WXII the Grace Moravian is a symbol of kindness in its Mount Airy community, and he found it odd Jesus would do such a thing.

Ruth says the congregation is upset by the vandalism, but also concerned about Jesus.

Life in the Fast Lane ... Fireworks Show Stops Traffic on 5 Freeway

Published | Updated

This is not what Katy Perry meant ... 50 cars filled with folks who seemed to have Independence Day on their minds, blocked traffic on the 5 Freeway Friday night for a fireworks show.

It went down in Norwalk, near downtown L.A. It was clearly choreographed. Unsuspecting drivers had nowhere to turn as explosive sounds filled the night.

Aside from the fact that it's kind of a bonehead move to do this to drivers in the middle of all this craziness, the show was pretty cool.

It went down at around 10 PM and as fast as it started, it was over. They clearly knew if they hung around there would be consequences. It's illegal to set off fireworks in L.A. County with certain exceptions for controlled displays ... and this clearly wasn't one.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. showed up, but a little too late. We're told so far, no suspects.

Crazy Home Depot Fight Florida Men Let the Paint Fly!!!

Published
Paint Fight
HARDWARE HITS

Well this is not going to paint a pretty picture of Florida ... nevertheless, just enjoy.

For some strange reason, at least 4 men at a Tampa Home Depot got heated in the loading zone right outside the store Wednesday and began brawling ... using paint cans as weapons.

At one point, one of the tools picks up a shovel or large garden tool and swings it at another ... but the majority of the action is between a hefty paint-covered man and a smaller guy.

The beefy boy charges at the little dude while slapping at him, but the smaller man holds his own and eventually chucks a can full of white paint at him ... forcing a retreat.

The big fella's not done, though -- he attacks another guy with some violent swings before things finally cool down ... leaving several men, the parking lot and a pickup truck sloppily covered in paint.

What's wilder ... the men reportedly all know each other and work together, and declined to press charges. It's unclear what led to the messy mayhem or if Home Depot will take any action against the crew.

So, no charges, no social distancing ... and hopefully no refunds on the paint. Florida on!
