Samantha Barbash's legal team just fired off a letter to STX Entertainment -- the studio behind the hit film -- demanding it pay up for its use of Barbash's likeness, personality, biography and identity in connection with the promotion of the film.

According to the letter, obtained by TMZ, Samantha's lawyer Bruno Gioffre reminds the studio Barbash "unequivocally rejected all offers to be included in the film." Barbash wants STX to resolve "the flagrant violation of her rights."

Dave East Cuts a Deal In Cruise Attack Case Must Stay Out of Trouble

Published | Updated

Dave East has one less problem to worry about (with conditions) after allegedly socking a cruise passenger ... but he's gotta stay on the straight and narrow to walk away scot-free.

The Manhattan Criminal Court Clerk tells TMZ the rapper accepted a deal Monday to dismiss his assault charge from a year ago IF he stays out of trouble for the next 6 months. The problem ... trouble has already found him -- DE got cited for battery just last week.

TMZ broke the story ... Dave got caught up in a 3-way gone wrong in Vegas, where a woman claims he punched her after they got into argument during sex. Dave says the woman hurled champagne bottles at him and allegedly struck him in the head, arm and leg.

Damon Dash I Don't Make That Much Anymore ... So End My Child Support Obligations

Published

Damon Dash says he's not the cash register he used to be -- not by a long shot -- so he's asking a judge to pull the plug on his child support obligations.

Dash filed legal docs saying enough's enough, and he no longer wants to pay support to 19-year-old Ava. Apparently, he struck a deal with ex-wife Rachel Roy that he would pay $6,000 a month total for both kids, and the obligation didn't stop at 18.

As for why, Dash says things are lean in the financial department, claiming his adjusted gross income in 2018 was a skosh over $56,000. Damon says Rachel makes way more than him ... approximately $500k a year. He also says she lives a lavish lifestyle with trips to Europe, Greece and India.

Damon says he's stepped up plenty ... he pays $3,666 a month for 11-year-old Tallulah's private school.

One more thing ... Damon wants Rachel to pay him back for some of the support he's forked over. The reality is ... judges don't do that retroactively.

Andy Dick Accused of Uber Sexual Battery ... Arrest Warrant Issued

Published | Updated

There's an active warrant out for Andy Dick's arrest after a bizarre Uber ride where he allegedly groped his driver.

Our law enforcement sources tell us ... Andy was riding in the Uber back in April 2018 when -- according to the driver -- Andy reached over and grabbed his crotch.

It's unclear what led up to the incident, but the driver didn't take it lightly ... and went to the L.A. County Sheriff to file a report. Cops completed their investigation, and the D.A.'s office decided to charge Andy with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Our sources say the arrest warrant was issued back in March, but the actor hasn't been nabbed yet. We're told the warrant remains active.

It's not the first time the comedian's faced such a charge. We broke the story ... back in July 2018, the L.A. City Attorney slapped Andy with a misdemeanor sexual battery for allegedly groping a stranger -- that time it was someone on the street.

We've reached out to Andy's rep. He had no comment.

Rapper Kamaiyah Busted for Firing Gun in Screening ... There Goes Movie Night!!!

Published | Updated

Rapper Kamaiyah had a blast at a private movie screening in a snazzy condo complex -- and by blast ... we mean she allegedly fired a gun and promptly got her ass arrested.

Police say Kamaiyah was hanging out at an apartment building in the San Fernando Valley ... where she and some friends made their way into the facility's movie screening room. Not a theater, per se ... but close enough.

Anyway, on surveillance footage reviewed by management -- and eventually by law enforcement -- a woman cops believe is Kamaiyah was seen pulling a handgun from inside her bag before letting a round go in the room. She darted shortly afterward.

Law enforcement sources tell us it appears the discharge, during the screening last month, was accidental and the gun went off as Kamaiyah was playing with it. We're told she wasn't arguing with anyone beforehand ... so there's no reason to think the bullet was meant for anyone.

According to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, Kamaiyah wasn't arrested until just a couple weeks ago when a warrant was issued and cops located her. We're told they found what they believe to be the same gun used at the complex.

She was booked for felony negligent discharge of a firearm and was released on $35,000 bond.

Something tells us Kamaiyah can afford that. She's been blowing up lately doing songs with YG, Quavo and Tyga. As she might say herself, "F*** It Up" ... just don't get arrested!!!

Britney Spears Jamie Spears Will Continue as Conservator

Published | Updated

Jamie Spears withstood a fierce challenge by ex-wife Lynne Spears in the conservatorship battle over Britney ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with knowledge of Wednesday's court hearing tell TMZ, Lynne wanted Jamie out as conservator, but the judge rejected her claims. Lynne felt Jamie had done a poor job ... something she's been saying since the Free Britney movement last spring.

The judge decided Jamie should continue on as conservator of Britney's estate, meaning all of her business affairs. As we reported, Jamie has temporarily bowed out of handling the other part of the conservatorship -- taking care of Britney, her medical needs and so on. The case manager Jamie hired -- Jodi Montgomery -- has been appointed conservator until January, and that's when Jamie will retake the reins. He is still taking care of all of her business affairs.

Jodi Montgomery 9/9/19
LEAVING COURT

Jamie has said he's temporarily stepping down because of medical issues, but we know another reason is that there's currently a restraining order that prohibits him from having any contact with Britney's kids -- this after he allegedly put his hands on 14-year-old Sean.

There are a few complications. We're told Britney hasn't spoken to Jamie since last month when the incident went down between him and Sean. Several sources say they actually weren't speaking even before that.

And, there's this. Several sources say Britney is not doing well. As one source put it, "She goes through cycles, and hopefully we're at the bottom now." We posted this video Friday of Britney at an awards ceremony for boyfriend Sam, and she was so uncomfortable she beelined it for the car before even walking into the event.

One more thing about Jamie ... people who have been around him and Britney are almost unanimous -- were it not for Jamie stepping in 12 years ago, Britney probably would not have survived.

Aaron Carter Twin Sister Gets Restraining Order ... Claims He Threatened to Send Hit Men

Published | Updated
UPDATE

3:24 PM PT -- The judge granted Angel the restraining order and we now know exactly why she filed for it. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Angel says she had a phone convo with Aaron on Sept. 5, and she claims he said, "I have people that would come and harm you." She adds ... due to the fact Aaron has been brandishing his firearms on social media, she fears for her life, as well as her husband and daughter's.

UPDATE

The docs also include this bizarre anecdote. During the August FaceTime convo with Aaron -- when he allegedly made the "killing babies" remark -- she claims he also admitted to torturing a turtle by lighting it on fire when he was a child. She claims he said he felt "no emotion" about the incident.

UPDATE

The restraining order requires Aaron to stay 100 yards away from Angel and her family. He also can't make any social media posts regarding them that include threats or brandishing of weapons.

Aaron Carter's twin sister has followed in Nick Carter's footsteps ... filing a restraining order against her brother.

Angel Conrad filed docs Friday in Los Angeles for a domestic violence restraining order. A judge has not heard the case to decide whether or not to grant the protection.

TMZ broke the story ... Aaron's brother, Nick, filed a restraining order against him on Monday claiming Aaron had "thoughts of killing babies." Nick claimed Aaron had made the claims during a FaceTime with Angel in August. Nick also said Aaron told Angel he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Aaron's then-girlfriend, Lina, was there during the convo and chimed in, "Angel, how do you think I feel with him sleeping with a sword next to him?" According to the docs, Aaron got upset and said, "Shut up Lina, you are next on my list."

In that filing, Nick explained he needs the court-ordered protection from Aaron because he's afraid Aaron will listen to the "voices in his head and cause harm to my family." He also states, as far as he knows, Aaron owns 6 firearms, which he's known to keep "readily available."

Aaron Carter
NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

Aaron has denied making those statements and tells us he would never harm his family. All he wants is for them to leave him alone.

UPDATE

3:37 PM PT -- Cardi seems to be taking issue with her rep ... saying she IS a Blood, but absolutely not associated with 9 Trey. Cardi explained, in a tweet, she's a member of the Brim Bloods set.

UPDATE
UPDATE

2:01 PM PT -- A rep for Cardi has denied the claim she's a member of the Bloods, telling TMZ, "This is not true."

UPDATE

11:40 AM PT -- Cardi B has also been roped into Tekashi's case -- during cross examination, he confirmed she was a member of the Bloods.

UPDATE

TBH, the reference to Cardi seemed totally gratuitous -- under cross-examination, Aljermiah Mack's attorney asked Tekashi if he had copied the blueprint to Cardi's success by using gang members in his projects. Tekashi denied it.

UPDATE

10:33 AM PT -- Tekashi testified he offered Nine Trey members $50,000 to rob and shoot at Harv after the kidnapping incident. He also just testified rapper Jim Jones is a member of Nine Trey.

UPDATE
UPDATE

Prosecutors played a phone conversation between Jones, Shotti and Mel Murda in which they're all talking about getting revenge on Tekashi for snitching. They make multiple references to Tekashi getting "violated."

UPDATE

After the recording was played, Tekashi identified Jones as a member of the gang. Worth noting ... a couple months ago, Jim was on The Cruz Show, and you gotta check out his reaction when someone brought up 6ix9ine's music.

UPDATE
Jim Jones
DON'T SAY HIS NAME
UPDATE

8:44 AM PT -- During Tekashi's testimony Thursday morning, he claimed he initially lied about portions of the kidnapping -- specifically that he got pistol-whipped and knocked unconscious right away -- because he was humiliated. As the dash cam video shows ... that didn't happen. He claims he was pistol-whipped later on, though.

UPDATE
UPDATE

The rapper testified that he didn't ID his kidnappers to police or the media after the incident, but he did meet up with his former manager, Shotti, and Mel Murda afterward at his house and told them Harv and Nuke were the perps. Tekashi claims they stole $365k worth of his jewelry, and some of Harv's text messages were shown in which he's allegedly trying to unload the stolen jewelry.

UPDATE

There's more -- a recorded prison convo with Mel and another associate was played for the jury in which Mel details the incident and says 2 guys -- Black Boy and Hollywood -- were involved. Tekashi testified that Black Boy is code for Nuke, and Hollywood is Harv.

UPDATE

Another convo between Tekashi and Shotti was played, in which Shotti references the kidnapping and suggests he wants to kill Harv for it. The convo was captured by a wiretap in a van, and Tekashi testified he didn't know he and Shotti were being recorded.

Tekashi 69 Abduction 7/22/18
TEKASHI ABDUCTED

Tekashi69's ex-bodyguard threatened to shoot him as he snatched the rapper from his chauffeur-driven ride ... and the whole ordeal was captured on video.

The dash cam video starts as a car smashes into the back of the SUV carrying Tekashi --  he was sitting in the front passenger seat -- and then 2 men were at Tekashi's door forcing him out of the vehicle. Tekashi tried to put up a bit of a fight but not for long.

You hear Anthony "Harv" Ellison -- 6ix9ine's ex-bodyguard -- barking orders like, "Give me your money" and "Get in the car. We gonna shoot you!"

Prosecutors played the dash cam footage of the July 2018 incident in federal court where 6ix9ine is testifying against 2 members of his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods -- one of them being Ellison.

Ellison, and at least one other man, stuffed Tekashi -- whose real name is Daniel Hernandez -- into their car and drove off. In the dash cam video -- from Tekashi's driver's SUV -- you can see his driver attempted to follow Ellison's car for a few blocks, but eventually sped off to go find a police officer to help.

Ellison went to Tekashi's home, and surveillance footage -- obtained by the feds -- shows Tekashi's girlfriend handing over a bag of money and jewelry to Ellison's crew.

As we reported, Tekashi was eventually released, but not before they pistol-whipped him ... landing him in the hospital.

At the time, many people thought the kidnapping was a PR stunt -- but Tekashi came on "TMZ Live" and insisted it was real, and claimed someone had set him up.

6ix9ine 7/23/18
HERE'S HOW IT HAPPENED

Ellison and Aljermiah "Nuke" Mack are on trial right now for racketeering, and Tekashi is in the middle of his third day of testifying -- snitching on Ellison, Mack, and several other of members of the gang.

He's cooperating with the feds as part of a plea deal to get a reduced sentence in his own case. Tekashi had been facing a minimum of 47 years in prison.

Moon Zappa 'Fanatic' Threatening My Life Over Dad's Lyrics!!!

Moon Zappa says a "delusional" fan of her famous dad is harassing and threatening her so badly ... she's had to run to court for protection.

Frank Zappa's daughter filed for a restraining order Thursday in L.A. County against a man who's allegedly been stalking and threatening her since 2000. She says way back then the FBI got involved because the man made a death threat against her.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Moon says the written death threat said, "I have made plans to murder Moon Zappa. If you want to stop me, contact me now. I know where she is. I know how to get at her. Pumpkins will be barking at that time. I have time on my hands. And soon blood as well."

Moon says she got a restraining order back in 2001 and changed her address -- but her fears were reignited last week when the man showed up on her doorstep on 9/11. She says he handed her a $50 million lawsuit involving a "delusional vendetta" against her.

According to the docs, Moon says the "delusional fanatic" believes she and her father stole lyrics from him way back in the late 1970s. Moon now fears not only for herself, but also for her daughter's safety.

A judge granted her a temporary restraining order requiring the man to cease all communication with her and stay 100 yards away from Moon and her teenage daughter.

Dem Donor Ed Buck Hit with Federal Felony Charge

Published
UPDATE

2:08 PM PT -- Buck's officially been charged by the feds in California with one count of distribution of methamphetamine resulting in death. The charge stems from the death of Gemmel Moore at Buck's residence in July 2017.

UPDATE

12:28 PM PT -- Buck was wearing a blue protective vest during his hearing. Our law enforcement sources say the vest is reserved for inmates who are violent, suicidal or at risk of being attacked by other prisoners. We're told Buck is not suicidal.

Ed Buck, the California Democrat megadonor accused of running a drug den, showed his face in court Thursday, the first time he's been seen since being busted on felony charges.

Ed appeared in court for the first time Thursday, wearing a blue jumpsuit, but he did not enter a plea. Buck is charged with 3 felony counts -- battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.

Ed Buck
BUCK BUSTED

Before Buck's court appearance, the last time he was seen in public came when he was slumped in the back of a cop car and hauled away from his West Hollywood home during Tuesday's arrest, which occurred after another person OD'd at Buck's apartment.

As we've reported ... Prosecutors claim Buck injected a man with meth at his residence last week, causing a nonfatal overdose. Prosecutors also allege Buck wields his power to manipulate victims to participate in his sexual fetishes, often by administering them narcotics.

Buck's arrest came after months of public scrutiny, following two men's fatal overdoses inside his home. The men died 18 months apart, the first in July 2017 and the second in January 2019.

Ed's arraignment has been continued to next month.

Chris Brown Lawsuit Woman's Horrific Eye Injuries Revealed ... Allegedly Caused by Fake Blood

Published | Updated

The woman suing Chris Brown over eye injuries she allegedly suffered on a music video shoot has a photo of her puffy peepers ... and it'll make you go, "ewwwww."

In the photo -- obtained by TMZ -- Danielle Griffin's eyes appear red, swollen and caked in a gross, greenish goop. We're told that's pus discharging from her eyes, so like we said ... eww.

Griffin claims in legal docs ... she was hired as a backup dancer in September 2017 to perform in a CB music video, which was shooting in Downtown L.A.

According to the suit ... sometime during the shoot, a wardrobe and makeup artist poured fake liquid blood on her head without eye protection and told her it was safe. Griffin claims it wasn't ... and the "dangerous substance" caused direct injuries to both of her eyes.

Griffin's attorney -- Arshia Mardasi of Allen, Flatt, Ballidis & Leslie -- tells us she had to go to 3 different hospitals in 24 hours to tend to her eye injuries. Mardasi says Griffin was also holed up for months while she recovered, which caused her to drop out of her master's degree program and miss several job opportunities.

We are told the music vid she was hired for was "High End," which features Future and Young Thug.

We've reached out to Brown ... so far, no word back.

Dem Donor Ed Buck Charged with Running Drug Den ... Video of Arrest

Published
Ed Buck
BUCK BUSTED
UPDATE

9:48 AM PT -- Prosecutors claim Buck is a "violent, dangerous sexual predator" who "preys on men made vulnerable by addiction and homelessness" ... according to legal docs we've obtained.

UPDATE

Regarding the recent overdose at his home, Buck allegedly administered a large dose of methamphetamine to the man on September 4, and he left to get medical attention because he was worried he was suffering from an overdose.

UPDATE

The docs say the man returned on September 11 and Buck "personally and intentionally" injected him with 2 more large doses of the drug. When the guy began showing signs of an overdose, Buck allegedly thwarted his attempts to get help ... but the guy fled and called 911 from a nearby gas station.

Ed Buck -- a California Democratic megadonor -- has been arrested and charged with operating a drug house after yet another person OD'd at his apartment ... fortunately this one survived.

TMZ's obtained video of Buck slumped over in the back of a cop car as he's hauled away from his West Hollywood home ... as cops and crime lab investigators made their way into his place.

Buck's accused of injecting a man with methamphetamine at his residence last week, causing a nonfatal overdose ... according to the L.A. County D.A.'s Office.

He's facing 3 felony counts -- battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. He's set to be arraigned Wednesday.

Buck's arrest comes after months of public scrutiny following the deaths of 2 men inside his apartment. Both men died from overdoses, 18 months apart, the first in July 2017 and the second in January.

Their deaths were found to be accidental methamphetamine overdoses. Though Buck wasn't charged in either incident, the mother of the first victim has filed a wrongful death suit against him.

Prosecutors reportedly allege in court docs that Buck uses his power to manipulate victims to participate in his sexual fetishes ... including injecting them with narcotics.

Prosecutors want bail set at $4 mil.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Snitches on Gang Members ... Skinnyfromthe9 Puts Him on Blast

Published | Updated
UPDATE

3:07 PM PT -- We got rapper Skinnyfromthe9 out in NYC and he straight-up says Tekashi snitching was wrong. It also seems Skinny's taking sides ... giving Tekashi's ex-manager, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, a shout-out. As far as Tekashi ever getting a shot at reviving his career after doing so much snitching ... Skinnyfromthe9 says it may be an uphill battle.

UPDATE

Tekashi69 has completed his first day on the stand in federal court where he's clearly panicked about testifying against his former fellow gang members of the Nine Trey Bloods.

Altogether, he spent nearly 2 hours on the stand -- wearing blue prison scrubs, a white undershirt and still rocking his rainbow colored hair, styled in pigtails. In a courtroom potentially filled with current or former Nine Trey members, he testified he became a member in November 2017, and participated in violent crimes ... including shootings, assaults and drug trafficking

At one point, 6ix9ine even ID'd the 2 men who are on trial. He nervously pointed at the defendants, Aljermiah "Nuke" Mack and Anthony "Harv" Ellison, and ID'd them as Nine Trey Gang Members.

Tekashi testified extensively about his hit song, "Gummo," and how the August 2017 music video shoot introduced him to many of the Nine Trey members. For instance, he says he first met Seqo Billy and told him he wanted to do a music vid with authentic gang members. Tekashi says on the day of the shoot, he bought 3 dozen red bandannas for them to wear on camera.

He said this is when he met Shotti ... who became Tekashi's manager.

Prosecutors showed stills from the music video, and Tekashi pointed out and identified various gang members who appeared on camera. He also claimed Trippie Redd was a gang member, but from a rival Bloods sect from Nine Trey.

Tekashi testified he never had to go through an initiation to the gang, or personally shoot anyone. The gang simply wanted him to keep making hits in order to bankroll its activities.

6ix9ine 7/23/18
HERE'S HOW IT HAPPENED

The snitching, which 6ix9ine agreed to do when he took a plea deal -- will provide key testimony for the prosecutors' case. In fact, he testified he started cooperating with the feds the very day after he was arrested, back in Nov. 2018.

As we've reported ... Tekashi was staring down a minimum of 47 years in prison after being busted by the feds on racketeering charges, but he cut a deal in return for his full cooperation.

The feds fear for Tekashi's safety, and he's being held behind bars in a facility filled with other snitches. U.S. Marshals took Tekashi through a secure tunnel to the courthouse, and he's under heavy guard.

Aaron Carter Guns Could Be Seized ... Begs Family To Leave Him Alone!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

12:26 PM PT -- Aaron came on “TMZ Live” Tuesday and addressed the potential Gun Violence Restraining Order, telling us he doesn’t feel like he struggles with mental health in the slightest bit.

UPDATE

Aaron says he just wants to take care of his mother, and gives an impassioned plea to his loved ones … telling them to butt out of his life.

UPDATE

11:10 AM PT -- A rep for Aaron Cater tells TMZ ... "Aaron is following the law and continued to be fully cooperative with any and all inquiries made by law enforcement. There have been multiple wellness checks made and none have ever resulted in any action."

UPDATE

Sources close to Aaron also tell us he believes Backstreet Boys fans are the ones trolling him and causing the welfare checks due to his estranged relationship with his brother.

Aaron Carter's family is worried about his mental health, and so are cops. We've learned they're looking at an obscure law that could be used to take his guns away.

Aaron himself has raised concerns over his mental stability. He appeared on "The Doctors" and it seemed from the show Aaron was suffering from a multiple personality disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia and manic depression -- another term for bipolar. Aaron walked it back on "TMZ Live" Monday, saying "The Doctors" was edited to make it look like he had these conditions.

Fact is ... family members have been concerned enough that L.A. County Sheriff's deputies have gone to Aaron's home for a welfare check ... especially because he flaunts his gun collection.

Aaron Carter
NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

Aaron says he owns a 9mm handgun, 2 assault rifles and other firearms as well.

As for the little-used California law ... it's called a Gun Violence Restraining Order. If someone owns guns and a family member or law enforcement believes the person could use a weapon to hurt themselves or another person, the family member or cop can go to court and ask for the restraining order.

A judge can take the person's guns away, and order them not to possess other guns or ammo.

Our law enforcement sources tell us ... cops are looking at the law right now and deciding whether they'll go to court. And, as for the order, a lot depends on nailing down Aaron's true mental state, which is a difficult proposition because Aaron shares only what he wants to publicly share so it's hard to paint a complete picture.

In docs, Cleopatra says she's a student and her father used to cover all of her bills -- cell phone, car note, utilities, etc. But, since his tragic passing, Cleopatra says she's struggled to keep up.

The 21-year-old says she wants the allowance for now until the estate works out how to distribute John's fortune. Cleopatra says that could take at least another year, if not more.

As we reported ... John's entire estate could be worth around $35 million. For what it's worth ... John's mother, Sheila Ward, is the estate's administrator, and Cleopatra's had legal scuffles with her.

Kevin Hart Sued by Sex Tape Partner for $60 Million ... Claiming Kevin Was in On Recording Liaison

Published | Updated

Kevin Hart's sex tape partner claims Hart conspired with a friend to secretly record their encounter, and now she's suing him for $60 million.

Montia Sabbag claims in a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, her 2017 encounter with Hart in a Vegas hotel room was all planned by Hart and J.T. Jackson -- his friend who later was arrested for extortion. She says Hart was motivated by publicity ... the need to get more -- especially with an upcoming comedy tour -- and that's why he and JT allegedly hid the camera.

The suit claims Hart allowed Jackson into the Cosmopolitan Hotel suite so he could set up hidden video recording devices to capture the liaison. Jackson was later charged with 2 counts of extortion relating to alleged efforts to get money out of Hart to keep the tape under wraps. Jackson denied ever extorting the comedian.

Hart has repeatedly denied having any knowledge of the recording ... claiming he, too, was a victim of Jackson's extortion attempts. You'll recall Hart later apologized for his infidelity and was adamant nobody should profit off his mistake.

TMZ broke the story ... Kevin and Sabbag got up close and personal while partying at Marquee nightclub in Vegas. Sabbag, who back in September 2017 said she's a crime victim herself, is suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

We reached out to Hart's rep ... so far, no word back.
