Akon's got Bill Cosby's back ... or so it seems.

We got the singer at LAX on Monday and asked him what's the right prison sentence for the disgraced comedian, who was found guilty of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. Our guy informed Akon that Bill faces three 10-year sentences, but the singer couldn't fathom that scenario for his "hero."

Charlie Sheen says the "hooker" suing him for exposing her to HIV is an extortionist, who rolls the dice with STDs on the regular because she's banged "hundreds, if not thousands," of guys.

Sheen is responding to the lawsuit filed anonymously last summer by a woman who says he had unprotected sex with her BEFORE revealing he's HIV positive. In his docs, obtained by TMZ, Sheen says the Jane Doe is completely making that up.

According to his docs, she's a "professional hooker party girl" who gets paid for sex as a high-end escort. Sheen admits he showered her with money and gifts during their less than 2-month-long relationship. He adds ... his HIV positive status was revealed to her the moment they were introduced.

Sheen says she's not only extorting him, but pressuring him by "stalking" his home and his father Martin Sheen's pad, too.

He says the woman signed an NDA before they banged, which requires her to keep quiet about their liaisons ... and to settle all legal disputes in arbitration.

6:58 PM PT -- Schneiderman just released a statement announcing his resignation from the office of New York Attorney General. He says, “It’s been my great honor and privilege to serve as Attorney General for the people of the State of New York. In the last several hours, serious allegations, which I strongly contest, have been made against me. While these allegations are unrelated to my professional conduct or the operations of the office, they will effectively prevent me from leading the office’s work at this critical time. I therefore resign my office, effective at the close of business on May 8, 2018.”

Governor Andrew Cuomo is asking the top law enforcement officer in his state to resign after allegations of physical abuse were made against the New York Attorney General.

Cuomo issued a statement late Monday saying that he wanted a full investigation into claims made against Eric Schneiderman in a New Yorker article, which details alleged physical abuse of 4 women that he'd either dated or tried pursuing romantically.

According to the report, Schneiderman would allegedly slap these women repeatedly across the face during sexual activity, among other types of degrading acts ... which the women claim were non-consensual. Schneiderman denied the allegations, saying in part ... "In the privacy of intimate relationships, I have engaged in role-playing and other consensual sexual activity. I have not assaulted anyone," adding nonconsensual sex is a line he'd never cross.

That doesn't appear to be good enough for Cuomo, though -- he says Schneiderman should step down for "the good of the office." Interestingly enough ... Schneiderman's heading up two separate Weinstein-related probes ... one at the request of the Governor.

As we reported ... Gov. Cuomo wanted to know why the Manhattan D.A., Cyrus Vance, Jr., did not prosecute Harvey Weinstein in 2015 ... and directed Schneiderman's office to investigate the matter. Schneiderman had also filed a civil rights lawsuit against TWC.

Harvey Weinstein's rainy day has arrived -- it's more like a monsoon, really -- and he's insisting his insurance company cover his ass, because that's why he's been paying his premiums.

Weinstein's insurer, Chubb Indemnity Insurance Co., ran to court shortly after the movie mogul's world started collapsing ... asking a judge to sign off on its denial of coverage. Now, Weinstein is filing a countersuit.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, he says he and his former company, TWC, paid more than $1 million in premiums over 25 years preparing for the worst ... which has obviously come for Weinstein. He says one of his policies specifically promised him $300k in "crisis assistance" benefits.

How does the insurer define "crisis"? An event involving "significant adverse regional or national media coverage." Yeah, that checks out.

Tekashi69's manager appears to be off the hook for the Barclays Center shooting last month -- 'cause cops arrested a different alleged member of 6ix9ine's crew for that one.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops arrested Fuguan Lovick on Sunday, and booked him for first-degree reckless endangerment for a shooting inside the Brooklyn arena during a recent Adrien Broner boxing match.

We broke the story ... Tekashi's group got into a scuffle with a rival rap crew, and cops believe someone in his camp fired a weapon. No one was hit, and no one was arrested at the time.

While cops initially believed Tekashi's manager, Tr3way, might've been the guy who fired the lone shot ... we're told police firmly believe it was, in fact, Lovick who discharged the weapon. However, Tr3way is still under investigation for another shooting just hours before the event, when he was allegedly caught on camera chasing after a tailing car.

Emile Hirsch and his family fear for their lives after getting a series of disturbing messages, including a threat to kill his son ... TMZ has learned.

According to docs obtained by TMZ, Emile says he exchanged short, positive messages with a female fan on Instagram before things quickly went south. He says she wrote, "Do I need to mention the word DANGEROUS OBSESSED STALKER WITH POSSIBLE WEAPONS to get some attention here?"

Emile says she also wrote, "Maybe I'll run over your kid in 15-20 years. Maybe I'll run that sh*t over with my car. I don't forget. I can't."

The woman -- who goes by Annadelpanino on IG -- claims she has "obsessive compulsion with acute fixation issues" and could find Emile, since "you're just a plane ride away."

5/9 4:45 PM PT -- The judge instructed the parties to make every effort to keep Jay's testimony to one day ... next week.

Jay-Z's time is money and holding him up for anything more than a day would seriously harm his upcoming 45-date world tour and those working on it, according to new legal docs.

Jay-Z is supposed to appear in court Tuesday and explain to SEC investigators why testifying for more than a day is out of the question.

A judge also set a preliminary date for his testimony, but Jay says giving testimony for longer than that, less than 3 weeks shy of his tour "will impair the work of many individuals and entities who are preparing for the tour and will hinder my own work in preparation for the tour."

Tom Sizemore inappropriately touched an 11-year-old child actress who was working with him on a film in 2003, and it caused lifelong damage ... according to a new lawsuit.

Sizemore is being sued in Utah by Kiersten Pyke, who claims Sizemore groped her on set when she was 11 years old during production of the movie "Born Killers" -- in which they were both starring. The suit alleges Sizemore touched the girl underneath her underwear during a scene, and placed his finger in her private parts. This allegedly happened in the presence of about 20 people, including the girl's mother.

The lawsuit goes on to claim the woman suffered irreparable damage as a result of the alleged incident -- including mental, psychological, and emotional problems, substance addictions, PTSD, emotional instability ... and lots of other problems.

According to the complaint, Sizemore was initially removed from the project after the allegation surfaced at the time -- but the alleged victim claims he was ultimately brought back to finish the movie ... and that she was the one who ended up getting the ax.

Paris Hilton's done stashing her nude photos on the iCloud -- she made that declaration on her way into the sentencing hearing of the woman who hacked her, and her private pics ... along with more than $100k.

One thing's for sure, Paris made one hell of an entrance ... you've gotta see her take on "courtroom attire." It's unclear if she will provide a victim statement during the hearing, but she made a couple big ones outside the courthouse.

In her most serious voice, she expressed concern about her privacy being violated, and then she dropped a bomb on Apple.

TMZ broke the story ... feds busted the hacker, Paytsar Bkhchadzhyan, back in November and she struck a deal, pleading guilty to bank fraud conspiracy. Prosecutors recommend a 57-month sentence.

Sounds like Paris wants at least that much.

10:05 AM -- A rep for the U.S. Attorney's Office says Bkhchadzhyan was sentenced to 57 months in prison. We also got Paris on her way out of the courthouse ... and she seemed satisfied justice had been served.

The man who stabbed Morgan Freeman's step-granddaughter 25 times dodged a murder conviction ... but still got nailed for manslaughter.

The judge handed down the decision Monday in NYC. Lamar Davenport killed E'Dena Hines back in August 2015 outside of the couple's NYC apartment. Davenport was acquitted of second degree murder. His lawyer argued Davenport was high on PCP when he repeatedly stabbed Hines while screaming, "I love you. I always loved you. God would have wanted this." The judge agreed Davenport wasn't acting with malice, he was just messed up on drugs.

Davenport now faces up to 25 years in prison.

As we reported ... Davenport screamed several religious statements during the stabbing.

After her death, Morgan said, "her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."

Two white cameramen who are suing NBC -- claiming the network is racist -- allege the network has a pattern of protecting itself and sweeping misconduct under the rug ... and they are pointing to the Tom Brokaw and Matt Lauer cases.

Kurt Decker and Michael Cimino were cameramen on 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon, until they got fired for receiving racist text messages from a 'Tonight Show' stagehand. They claim they were singled out by Questlove, the band leader, who protected a black NBC employee who also received the text message, but allegedly told NBC bigwigs to fire the 2 white cameramen. The 2 were fired for not reporting the text messages to their bosses.

They say in new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, there's a culture at the network to cover up misdeeds of some. They raise the Tom Brokaw case where a former NBC correspondent accused him of sexual harassment. Scores of women, many of whom work at NBC, came out in a public show of support.

Decker and Cimino say many of the women were pressured by the network to sign the petition supporting Brokaw. They add the letter was being circulated at the NBC offices and the women feared retaliation if they didn't sign.

They also raise the Matt Lauer case, where they say many employees knew Lauer was a serial sexual harasser, but never reported it. Decker and Cimino say none of those employees were disciplined.

Meek Mill's living his best life right now and it's got everything to do with finally getting outta prison and even more to do with how he's enjoying his freedom ... with a sweet 31st birthday turn up.

The rapper celebrated turning 31 Sunday in Miami surrounded by friends, including David Grutman, at Komodo. We're told he was in town recording new music, but made sure to live it up a little, in honor of his bday.

Kim Kardashian West drew inspiration for her new lingerie line from a place just a tad outside of Hollywood ... give or take 5,520 miles.

The company Kim's charged with spearheading her new lingerie line filed docs -- obtained by TMZ -- to trademark "Kimono Intimates." The plan is to brand her line with the name and slap it on bustiers, nightgowns, breast shapers, pasties (yeah, pasties), leotards and socks, among other things.

As we first reported ... Kim wasted no time last month getting back into the clothing industry after closing DASH. She teamed up with the same group behind Khloe's successful Good American brand as well as FRAME.

It's interesting ... Kim, Kourtney and Khloe hit up Japan back in February, perhaps getting a head start on Kim's new line. As for the name ... Kimono is a wide-sleeved robe customary in Japan.

Dr. Dre is STILL Dre, but same goes for the OB/GYN with a very similar name who was locked in a legal battle for years with the music mogul.

Dr. Drai, a Pennsylvania-based gynecologist filed in 2015 to trademark his name and “Doctor Drai OBGYN & Media Personality." Dr. Dre tried to pump the brakes on that application, claiming it would cause confusion in the marketplace ... since their names sound alike.

The gyno was born Draion M. Burch, but according to his application he's been going by Dr. Drai for years. He's authored books and makes public appearances using it.

The trademark office agreed with the medical doc, saying although the gangsta doc was well known ... there wasn't enough evidence people would be confused. Let's be honest ... no one's downloading "The Chronic" from a gyno. Although, sounds like there should be a shot for that.

Point being ... the case was dismissed.

Meek Mill is well beyond prison walls now, and any merch signaling otherwise oughta be corrected to reflect his current sitch -- according to Meek himself, who did just that for a fan.

Philly fan Zack Rothenberg spotted Meek sitting in his SUV Saturday after the 76ers game against Boston, and approached the car by foot (in the middle of traffic, mind you) for an autograph on his custom Eagles jersey ... which reads "Free Meek" on the back.

Meek happily obliged, but rather than his usual John Hancock, he signed the jersey with "Meek Free!" We're told the rapper liked it so much, he took a photo of the jersey himself. He doesn't appear to have posted it yet, however.

As we've reported ... Meek's been the toast of the town in Philly since being released from prison a couple weeks ago. He was choppered to the Wells Fargo Center to catch Game 5 of the Heat series, and was allowed to ring the ceremonial bell before tip-off.

Bill Cosby will have no shortage of protection when he appears before the judge for sentencing in his sexual assault case.

Montgomery County Sheriff Sean Kilkenny tells us ... law enforcement in his small Pennsylvania town will be "100 percent all hands on deck" for Cosby's courthouse reckoning.

We're told dozens of officers from the Sheriff's office and Norristown PD ... along with county detectives and courthouse security guards will be assigned to patrol the area. There will also be plain clothed cops to keep an eye out for anything or anyone suspicious.

Kilkenny says law enforcement hasn't received any specific threats against Cosby, but they'll be well prepared for any dangerous situations or risks to his safety.

Cosby uses his own security team for travel to and from court, but the Sheriff's office will provide additional escorts if a judge orders it.

If Cosby is sentenced to hard time ... we're told he'll be treated like anyone else -- immediately placed in cuffs and led out of the courtroom by deputies to head for prison processing.
