Paris Hilton is checking a HUGE honor off her bucket list, she'll be attending the Met Gala for the first time in her life ... TMZ has learned.

Here's the deal, sources connected tell TMZ ... Paris got the invite from Vogue and the designer of her upcoming look and luckily, she was available to go. Unclear who she'll be working with for the outfit, but a big accomplishment like this must warrant a big designer.

We're told this year's theme is in honor of her late friend and iconic designer, called "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty." You'll recall, the 2 had a great relationship together -- some might even remember she went with Kim Kardashian to a collab he did with Dom Perignon back in 2006.

Paris will be flying to the Gala -- which goes down on May 1 -- from Washington, D.C. ... where she'll be holding a conference about the new Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act prior to the fashion event.

Ya gotta imagine Don Lemon and Kim Kardashian have plenty to catch up about -- like possible new career paths -- and they got into it at the Time100 Gala.

Kim and Don were deep in discussion Wednesday night in NYC ... along with Don's longtime partner Tim Malone, who was all smiles. We're guessing his sudden departure from CNN, and her saying she'd leave reality TV to be a full-time lawyer were hot topics for them.

Kim buzzed around a lot at the event ... bumping into Salma Hayek, Gayle King, and Padma Lakshmi.

As for Don, he certainly didn't look down in the dumps about his firing. As we reported, he looked pretty chill and happy throughout the night. Hey, no alarm clock going off before dawn can change your life!

Don also told TIME he's gonna have the summer of a 12-year-old, laying on the beach with Tim. He was even asked what kind of influence he thinks he's left at CNN -- a question he redirects to his former colleagues.

And as you know, Kim revealed earlier this week ... she'd ditch TV to become a lawyer full-time, saying she's already passed the baby bar and plans to take the real bar in 2025.

FYI -- Kim was named one of TIME's Most Influential People of 2015, and last year SKIMS made its list of Most Influential Companies.

Floyd Mayweather didn't just have diamonds all around his neck for the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia fight over the weekend -- he apparently had 'em on his head too ... the boxing legend's jeweler tells TMZ Sports the lid Floyd rocked to the match was so encrusted in gems, it was worth over $1 MILLION, according to the jeweler!

Shuki Diamonds told us out in L.A. this week he spent over a month making the blinged-out cap for Mayweather ... and it took him even longer than that to find the perfect "invisible diamonds" for it.

Shuki says the process to get the jewels on the "The Money Team" hat was arduous ... explaining it took painstaking work to get the cap looking just right.

According to Shuki, he had to make a mold, sandblast it all, and then shine it so it'd be perfect for Floyd's head.

"It's a big process," Shuki said.

The celeb jeweler gave it to Mayweather a few weeks ago while the two were in Dubai ... and since the two are so tight, he let it go free of charge.

And, when Floyd finally broke it out in public for Tank's massive win over Garcia in the boxing match of the year -- Shuki said he appreciated it very much.

Now, Shuki estimates it could sell for over $5 million if it ever hit an auction block.

"There's only one in the world," the jeweler said. "It's become historical -- it's Floyd Mayweather."

A$AP Rocky might have thrived as an Olympic runner if his hip hop career didn't pan out.

The A$AP Mob rapper was in Paris Monday to shoot a music video for his upcoming album, "Don't Be Dumb" ... and this scene had him surrounded by a rowdy bunch as they infiltrate the French hoods.

One scene shows Rocky running at full speed down the street ... in a pair of wheat-colored Timberland boots, and he effectively dusts the video extras in a foot race!!!

Athletic activity and Timbs mix as well as oil and water, but as light as the Harlem native was on his feet ... we'd guess he's had experience getting agile in the 6" boots!!!

He also pops a wheelie much to the urging of the video's cast but didn't exactly nail it.

Rocky might be doing double duty in Paris -- he and Rihanna are reportedly house hunting as they anticipate the birth of their second child together.

This year could bring about a comeback season for Rocky. He's slated to headline Rolling Loud Miami this year, in addition to the release of his first album in more than 5 years.

Kanye West and his wife don't seem to be missing a beat with each other, and their latest QT came in the form of a Sunday date in a not-so-fancy spot.

Ye and and Bianca Censori hit up a Cheesecake Factory Sunday inside L.A.'s Topanga Westfield Mall. When it came time for dessert, they passed on the obvious choice -- cheesecake -- and, instead, opted for one bowl, 2 spoons.

The couple shared a big ol' ice cream sundae as they sat in a booth at the popular eatery -- sitting side-by-side like a couple a high school kids.

Despite the delicious dessert choice, it's not clear just how much fun they packed into Sunday funday.

Ice Spice's relationship with Kim Kardashian is leading her into a modeling career, as she's been handpicked to show off a new "Skims" line ... along with a few other artists on the rise!!!

The "Princess Diana" rapper joined her "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" collaborator PinkPantheress and singers Nessa Barrett and Raye on Monday to model Kim's company's latest offerings ... which drop on April 27.

Ice and PP's song is one of the hottest of the year -- the track reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was a clear favorite of North West, who invited Ice to her home earlier this year to make a TikTok when the song was burning up the charts.

Kanye West was jammin' at designer Jerry Lorenzo's fashion show ... bopping his head near the front of the audience as they played one of his hits during the night.

Ye appeared to be alongside his wife Bianca at Jerry's Fear of God show at the Hollywood Bowl Wednesday night -- getting up when his track, "Feel the Love" played while his pal Pusha T was onstage.

Clearly, Kanye was digging the shout-out from Jerry, and some audience members reacted to the rapper dancing -- even without seeing his face, everyone knew it was him. Both Ye and Bianca were wearing his trademark full-head masks. Him in black, her in yellow.

Jerry's remained a public supporter of Ye -- even through all the antisemitism -- and posted in January that Adidas just wasn't the same without him.

As for the Fear of God show, Jerry showed off some collabs with Adidas, but with the event being an invite-only affair ... it's clear he's still backing Ye.

Shawn Mendes reunited with his old flame at Coachella ... one Camila Cabello.

We haven't seen them together since their split more than a year ago, and not much is known about what was behind the breakup, but here they were Friday, chatting it up in a clip posted by KIIS FM on Twitter.

The couple, who broke up in November 2021, seemed pretty chill with each other ... she says something to Shawn and he responds with drink in hand.

They both looked great ... Camila wore a white bustier top and Shawn was rocking a tee with a bandana.

Paris Hilton's abdicating her crown as the Queen of Coachella, because she's skipping the festival for the first time in 16 years ... and it's all because the new mom has new priorities.

Sources connected to Paris tell TMZ … she won't be out in the desert this weekend for several reasons, but chief among them is her baby boy, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.

Paris is only about 3 months into mommydom, and our sources say she wants to spend time with Phoenix ... and a music festival just isn't the right setting, for obvious reasons.

Instead of vibing to live tunes, we're told Paris and her son have weekend plans with friends.

Of course, Coachella is a 2-weekend event, but she won't be there next weekend either. We're told Paris is prepping to go to Washington D.C. for meetings with Congressional leaders regarding the child abuse bill for which she's been advocating.

Paris has been a fixture at Coachella since 2007, earning the nickname the Coachella Queen ... and she's known around the festival for always having the best outfits and hitting exclusive Coachella parties like Neon Carnival.

She won't be there physically, but she's there in IG spirit, at least -- Paris posted a throwback to some of her best past festival 'fits.

Mary Quant, a British designer who revolutionized fashion and is credited with making miniskirts popular, is dead.

Mary died peacefully Thursday at her home in Surrey, in southern England ... according to her family.

She's famous for designing colorful and sexy miniskirts that defined the swinging '60s, as well as tights that went along with them, helping make fashion accessible to the masses with her simple, mix-and-match designs.

Mary started making her own clothes way back in 1955, when she opened her first boutique called Bazaar on London's famous King's Road, in the heart of Chelsea, and it was an instant hit ... ultimately making the area the epicenter of British fashion.

Within a decade, Mary was a global brand ... she had a fashion line at J.C. Penney, her own makeup, a doll, and boutiques in New York department stores. When she came to the United States, she needed police protection because she was treated like a fifth member of The Beatles.

Mary was named an officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1966 for helping British exports with $20 million in sales ... and in 2009 she was honored with her own Royal mail postage stamp, featuring a model wearing a black Mary Quant miniskirt.

She was 93.

The Air Jordan 13s worn by Michael Jordan during the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $2,238,000 ... the highest price ever paid at auction for a pair of sneakers!!

Sotheby's announced the historic sale of the iconic kicks on Tuesday ... rocked by MJ during the pivotal Game 2 matchup against the Utah Jazz. With the Bulls down 1-0 in the series, Jordan lived up to his clutch reputation, scoring 37 points with five rebounds and three assists in the pivotal game, evening the series at 1 game a piece.

Jordan sported the Bred -- shorthand for black and red -- AJs routinely throughout his career, but make no mistake, this pair is rare. They're the only complete set (left and right shoe) worn by Michael during a Finals game.

Sotheby's says MeiGray, the official authenticator of the NBA, used photo matching to verify the sneakers, originally gifted to a ball boy after the game, were the real deal.

The ball boy previously unloaded the shoes and was not the consignor.

The whopping sale price, despite it being shocking, wasn't necessarily a surprise. Experts predicted the kicks would bring in between $2 and $4 MILLION.

The record-setting sale comes just days after the movie "Air," starring Ben Affleck as Nike founder Phil Knight, and Matt Damon, portraying talent scout Sonny Vaccaro, hit theatres. The film tells the story of MJ's signing with the Swoosh.

Michael's original deal with Nike was worth around $2.5 million ... and 39 years later, a single pair of Jordan's sold for nearly the entire value of his OG deal.

Taylor Swift clearly has a major hold on her fan base, 'cause the pants she wore on her first public single-girl outing have already sold out ... with some fans already looking into a deeper meaning behind her fashion choice.

Taylor wore a pair of "Butterfly-patch Cropped Jeans" from a brand called Area out in NYC Monday night. The pants, which come complete with a bedazzled butterfly on the leg and retail for $673, were still available online early Tuesday morning. However, Swifites were quick to track down the item, causing the pants to sell out from multiple retailers in a few hours.

Like just about everything Taylor does, her fans even hunted for clues in the singer's fashion choice -- believing the butterfly may symbolize rebirth and starting over.

It's been less than a week since news broke about Taylor's relationship with Joe Alwyn coming to an end after 6 years together -- and the public outing in NYC was certainly a rare one -- only time will tell if Taylor's deciding to come out of her cocoon a little bit more.

Ben Affleck was looking light on his feet this weekend next to J Lo, and it might have to do with his new Michael Jordan movie ... even though it's not quite a money-maker just yet.

The couple was spotted out Saturday grabbing a bite for lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they were both dressed up in snazzy duds -- BA was rocking a tan pullover sweater with jeans and matching sneakers to round out the ensemble. Nikes, specifically, mind you.

It's Ben ya gotta focus on, though, 'cause the dude is absolutely radiating ... flashing a big smile to the paps who were shooting them and carrying a little extra pep to his step. The question ... what the heck is he so damn happy about considering his long grump streak???

Besides being married to Jennifer, he's got a lot to be cheery over ... including his latest flick, 'Air,' which hit theaters this week and which has garnered tremendous reviews and stellar word of mouth. By most accounts, it's 2023's first great flick and a crowd-pleaser.

The only (potential) problem is that 'Air' is not on pace to be a box office smash -- especially since it's up against Mario and co., which is taking the top spot this weekend by a mile.

Although his movie is on pace to rake in around $20 mil or so through Sunday -- depending on which projections you look at -- it reportedly cost a fortune to make ... around $90 mil, according to Variety. With that sorta budget, it's hard to say if Amazon Studios will recoup their investment in the short term ... but it's also hard to say what'll be considered a W here.

'Air' is Ben and Matt Damon's first project under their new production co., where they're sharing the wealth, and what's more ... this flick was made with a streaming-first mentality, even though it's hitting theaters initially. So, the formula for success on this one's wonky.
