The Cleveland Browns just cut 26-year-old safety Jermaine Whitehead -- after the guy threatened to shoot, kill and fight several fans on social media after the Browns lost on Sunday.

Whitehead was getting clowned on social media for his lack of tackling and the overall terribleness of the Browns, when he lashed back on Twitter,

"Imma kill you bitch ... that's on blood," he told one guy.

"Don't get shot at lil bitch ... can you whoop my ass .. .f*ck football .. let me know when you need the address," he told another.

When one fan asked for Whitehead's address, the NFL player gave out the address to the Cleveland Browns facility in Ohio.

Twitter immediately suspended Whitehead's account over the threat -- in fact, it was suspended before he even left the locker room.

And, yeah ... as you could imagine, the Browns were PISSED too -- issuing a statement condemning Jermaine's actions.

"Jermaine Whitehead's social media posts following today's game were totally unacceptable and highly inappropriate," a Browns spokesperson said. "We immediately spoke with Jermaine upon learning of these comments. The Browns in no way condone that type of language or behavior. This matter will be further addressed internally."

Whitehead apologized ... but it was too late to save his job.

"I do apologize for my performance, but having a broke hand and a strong fear of letting my team down is my downfall," Whitehead said.

"Whatever happens happens. Ain trippin. They probably gone still talk crazy but this me getting smoke off my chest. I don't need one like.. this from me to me! Keep ya head up homie, can't nobody f*ck with you. I dare em to try."

Colin Kaepernick is giving back on his birthday ... and doing so for the people who need it most.

The former NFL quarterback was out in Oakland Sunday to celebrate his 32nd birthday, but rather than party it up ... he was out in the streets bright and early helping to feed and supply the countless homeless residents lining Tent City -- Oaktown's own skid row.

In partnership with his foundation, Know Your Rights Camp, and with the help of his girlfriend, Nessa, Colin was literally walking around handing out backpacks that were filled with snacks, socks, air quality masks, shampoo and other crucial resources.

He even got a food truck to come out and feed everyone on his dime -- which folks seemed more than grateful for as Colin and co. pointed them in the direction of some free grub.

Of course, Colin also drew a crowd of locals who were clamoring for photo-ops ... which he happily obliged. Fitting he did this in the Bay too -- a place he's all too familiar with.

You'll recall ... CK was the SF 49ers' QB just a few years ago, before he exited the NFL amid his National Anthem protest ... and without even so much as a proper workout since.

That's not gonna get him down on his birthday though -- he's clearly still out there working for the people, and doing it with a smile to boot. BTW, it looks like he's been doing this on his birthday for a little while now ... based on a flashback video from 2016.

Terrell Owens has a message for Jerry Jones -- STOP MEDDLING WITH THE DALLAS COWBOYS AND FIRE JASON GARRETT ALREADY!!

The Hall of Fame receiver grabbed his scary-ass Halloween mask when he was speaking with TMZ Sports and hilariously delivered the memo to the Cowboys owner.

"He needs to quit meddling," Owens said of Jerry ... "He's in the cookie jar too much. He's handling too much."

Then, TO made his pitch for the owner to drop Garrett, saying if Jones canned the head coach, "they definitely have an opportunity to go farther than they ever have."

Of course, Owens has hated JG for a long time ... in fact, he said just a few weeks ago he felt Garrett had lost control of the Cowboys' locker room.

Now, TO's doubling down on those comments despite Dallas' first-place NFC East standing ... telling us, "If they get rid of that coach, you'll see some re-energized, rejuvenated players."

We also asked Owens about Dak Prescott's high-dollar contract demands ... and TO says he really likes the QB and would pay him whatever the going-rate for the guy is.

Green Bay Packers star Za'Darius Smith was stopped in September for allegedly speeding ... and when officers searched his car, they cuffed him for having weed.

According to court records, Smith was pulled over on Sept. 29 -- just days after the Packers' loss to the Eagles -- in Racine, Wisc. after cops say he was going 21 MPH over the speed limit.

Per police records, obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Smith was allegedly doing 81 MPH in a 60 MPH zone in his 2019 GMC Yukon at around 5:30 PM.

The records say when the officer pulled over Smith -- who's car passengers included teammates Rashan Gary and Kingsley Keke -- he smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

The records say after the officer searched the car and found three blunts and a vaping cartridge ... Smith took ownership of them, saying, "I'll put it on me."

Records show Smith was hit with citations -- NOT criminal charges -- for speeding and possessing marijuana ... and the Packers players were then allowed to leave.

Smith is due in court next week to deal with the matter.

"The Packers are aware of the matter involving Za’Darius Smith," a team spokesperson told the Sentinel on Friday. "We will refrain from making any further comment as it is a legal matter."

Smith -- who's been a superstar for Green Bay this year after signing a 4-year, $66 MILLION contract this offseason -- could now be subject to NFL discipline under the league's personal conduct policy.

... All for some weed. Ridiculous.

Terrell Owens ain't afraid to rip a 49ers QB if he doesn't like 'em -- we all know that -- so we had to get his take on Jimmy Garoppolo ... superstar or overrated?!

... and guess what, T.O. FRIGGIN' LOVES THE GUY!!!

"Of course he's a superstar," Owens raved ... noting the New England Patriots wouldn't have drafted him and stuck with him so long if he didn't have star potential.

"You think about what he did under the tutelage of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, I don't think that organization would have acquired Jimmy G if he wouldn't have done some of the things that he did."

Owens also says at 8-0 it's "ridiculous" for people to suggest San Fran isn't a real Super Bowl contender.

So, why is Owens so passionate about the 49ers considering he played for so many teams during his NFL career???

"That's where I started my career. I played 8 years there," Owens said ... noting the 49ers are the team he identifies himself with the most when reflecting on his time in the NFL.

The New York Giants star receiver was at Moxy on Thursday night ... and with his wife dressed as a cop supervising him -- he made a bid to win best costume of the night.

"I'm letting you know right now, I'm snitchin'!" Tate hilariously told us. "Go to work!"

Golden eventually got out of character to answer some questions for us ... and he said he believes his Giants have a chance to turn things around in the 2nd half of the season.

Of course, the G-men haven't looked so hot in 2019 ... they're just 2-6 and are big-time underdogs against the Dallas Cowboys on "Monday Night Football" next week.

But, Tate tells us, "We know we're a good team, we just got to put it all together consistently."

Antonio Brown was TRYING to explain how his life has changed since being cut by the New England Patriots ... but he's not getting props from fans, he's getting crushed online.

"When I was in the league everyone did everything for me," Brown tweeted ... "Literally handicap me!"

"I’m back cooking; shopping taking care kids all me no nannies chefs trainers or baby mamas me dolo all self Care."

We get it, Brown is trying to say that he's taking control of his own life and relying less on hired help now that a once-guaranteed $50 million NFL windfall is no sure thing.

Trent Williams says Washington Redskins doctors misdiagnosed his cancer more than FIVE YEARS ago ... and the 7-time Pro Bowl left tackle says it nearly cost him his life.

The 31-year-old -- who held out from the team earlier this season -- returned to the Redskins this week ... and in his first meeting with reporters, he made the stunning revelation.

Williams claims back in 2013, he approached team doctors about a growth on his head ... but says after they told him it was a benign cyst and nothing to worry about, he essentially ignored it.

But, Williams says the tumor kept on growing ... and when he finally went to have it checked out by independent doctors this year -- they told him it was a serious form of cancer.

"[They] told me it was DFSP," Williams said, referring to Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans. "That's what the cancer is called. It's a very rare soft tissue cancer."

Williams said the form of cancer was so serious, "I almost lost my life" ... and added, "I was lucky."

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman said he needed multiple surgeries -- including one where surgeons extracted the tumor from his skull -- to fix the issue.

Williams says other than some lingering effects on his scalp due to the surgeries, he's relatively fine now ... but he says he's having some serious difficulties trusting the Redskins.

Williams says the alleged misdiagnosis from team doctors is the reason he's been away from the 'Skins this season ... and he didn't seem sure if he'd ever play for the team again.

"Seriously, I almost lost my life," Williams said. "You're 30, coming off your seventh straight Pro Bowl and a doctor tells you to get your affairs in order."

"It's not going to sit well with you. And, it still doesn't."

Todd Gurley kicked off Halloween with a CRAZY bash in Hollywood -- partying with superstars like Drake and Wiz Khalifa ... while giving away tons of pizza and wings!!

The L.A. Rams running back threw his epic Gurleywood Halloween Bash at Poppy Wednesday night in full costume as Verdine White from Earth, Wind & Fire.

The guest list was sick ... Drake (dressed up like his dad), Wiz (dressed up as himself from the "Never Lie" video), YG, Swae Lee and a bunch of smokin' hot models.

Gurley was having a blast ... but got serious for a quick minute when we asked if he would miss his former Rams teammate, Aqib Talib, who was recently traded to Miami.

"Lib a real one," Gurley said ... "Good dude."

Todd said he's gotten close with Aqib's family and that's what he's gonna miss the most.

But, then it was back to partying, and Todd thanked all of his sponsors before reflecting on his life -- "Man, I used to be broke!"

Todd's come a long way ... the 25-year-old signed a 4-year, $60 million extension in 2018. So, yeah ... he's doing well!!

Steelers LB Anthony Chickillo is off the hook after he allegedly roughed up his track star girlfriend ... prosecutors tell TMZ Sports she refused to testify against the NFL player, so the charges were dropped.

As we previously reported, Chickillo was arrested on Oct. 20 after his GF -- Canadian track star Alysha Newman -- said an argument at a fancy Pennsylvania resort's casino later turned violent in their hotel room.

Newman claimed Chickillo grabbed her by both arms, forced her against the wall and door and eventually threw her to the ground while intending to cause her injury.

In court records obtained by TMZ Sports, cops say they noticed Newman "had visible redness to both her right and left bicep areas, with bruising beginning to form."

Chickillo was eventually taken into custody and hit with three charges -- simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment.

For her part in the altercation, cops also hit Newman with a summary citation for harassment.

But, prosecutors tell us after interviewing both Newman and Chickillo at length, both parties said they would refuse to testify against each other and did NOT want to pursue charges.

So, at Chickillo's hearing in court Wednesday ... prosecutors announced they dropped the charges.

Anthony returned to work afterward ... showing up to the Steelers' facility, but it's unclear when he'll be able to play again as he's still on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Of course, even with the charges dropped, the NFL can still suspend the linebacker if it finds in its own independent investigation that he did violate its personal conduct policy.

Chickillo has been a regular on the Steelers' roster over the past five years ... playing in 57 games and recording 7.5 sacks.

Man, Baker Mayfield got HOT!!!

The Cleveland Browns QB was taking questions from the media at his daily press conference when he got fed up with a reporter ... and chewed the guy out in front of everyone.

ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi was asking Baker about a drive where it seemed the offense was moving with a "lack of urgency" and wanted to know what the deal was.

Baker started to answer the question ... but when Tony kept prodding, Mayfield lost his cool.

"I just told you the clock was running and we had a penalty! Do you wanna give them the ball back? No! You don't play, you don't know it. That's just plain and simple."

Rossi asked if Mayfield was ultimately happy with the drive ... and Baker went in AGAIN!

"Was I happy with the drive? No! We didn't score points. That's the dumbest question you could ask! What? Jesus, Tony."

Mayfield immediately ended the presser and walked off.

Afterward, Baker tweeted ... essentially saying he's NOT sorry for the exchange and this is just the kind of person he is.

"Everybody wants to hear the truth until they actually get it," Baker tweeted.

"I am who I am and always have been. Don’t call it emotional when it’s convenient and then passion when it fits. I care about winning, so yeah I’m frustrated."

"If I was to act like it’s okay to lose, then y’all would say that I’ve gotten complacent. My sense of urgency is at an all time high. And if I offend anybody along the way... that’s too bad."

Chargers reinforcements might not be on the way after all ... Derwin James tells TMZ Sports he's not sure yet if he'll be able to return from a foot injury this season.

"I don't know, man," the stud safety says. "I just got to keep healing and we'll see what happens."

Derwin -- who's one of the game's brightest young defensive players -- has been out since the summer after he needed surgery to fix a foot he busted up back at Florida State.

The 23-year-old was put on injured reserve and was expected to make a return sometime this season ... but now, he doesn't seem entirely sure that's going to happen.

In fact, when our camera guy asked if Derwin would be able available for either game against the Chiefs this year (one is Nov. 18, the other is Dec. 29), he said, "You gotta see. Tune in."

It ain't like James has suffered a setback or anything ... in fact, when he was out promoting phone company ROKiT in L.A. on Tuesday, he showed no signs of a limp and was having a blast.

It just seems like the dude's trying to get back to 100% ... telling us, "Feeling good, getting better, man. Getting healthy. Trying to get back out there."

NY Jets safety Jamal Adams says he was double-crossed by the team's general manager Joe Douglas -- who allegedly "went behind my back" to try to deal him to another team.

Adams was on the trade block before Tuesday's NFL deadline -- but ultimately, the team couldn't make a deal. The Dallas Cowboys and the Ravens were each reportedly making a serious run at the 24-year-old.

After the trade deadline passed, Adams went to social media to blast his team ... saying he was NOT the driving factor behind the potential trade. In fact, Adams says he told Jets officials he wanted to stay.

"Any reports of me asking to be traded from the New York Jets are completely false," Adams said.

But, here's where things turn nasty ...

"At the end of the week last week, I sat down with the GM and Coach Gase and told them I want to be here in New York. I was told yesterday by my agent that the GM then went behind my back and shopped me around to teams, even after I asked him to keep me here! Crazy business."

That obviously leaves both Adams and the Jets in a pretty awkward situation -- can you imagine what practice is gonna be like tomorrow?

Adams is one of the few bright spots on the 2019 Jets -- he's blossomed into an absolute stud after being selected with the 6th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

He's still in his rookie deal, and is pretty much locked up in NY until 2022 if the Jets want to keep him.

So, how do the Jets make things right with Adams? Who knows ... might be irreparably damaged.

Jason Garrett says he expects Michael Bennett to stand for the national anthem like the rest of the Dallas Cowboys ... telling reporters, "We anticipate him doing what all of our players do."

The Cowboys just traded for Bennett last week -- pulling the DE out of New England for a draft pick -- but many have wondered how Bennett will handle pregame anthems in Dallas.

Remember, MB has sat for the song in the past as a protest of racial injustices in America ... and during his time with the Patriots this year, he's just stayed in the locker room for the ceremony.

But, under Jerry Jones' watch, he's been adamant that Dallas players stand for the anthem -- regardless of their personal beliefs.

Star Cowboys players like QB Dak Prescott have supported the team's position in the past -- with Dak saying in 2018, "I never protest during the anthem and I don’t think that’s the time or venue to do so."

When Garrett was asked about all of that on Tuesday, he said, "We don't anticipate that being an issue."

Jones also said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday that he believes the same thing, saying, "I'm satisfied that, in Michael, we’ve got a player who knows how we do it here with the Cowboys."

The Dallas Morning News reports that Bennett and the Cowboys reached an agreement before the trade went through that he would stand on the sideline for the anthem in Dallas.

Bennett has yet to address the media regarding the issue ... but he's expected to speak with reporters sometime this week.

NFL superstar DeAndre Hopkins went ALL OUT for his Halloween costume -- going head-to-toe blue paint to recreate Genie from "Aladdin" ... and it's amazing!!!

The Houston Texans WR hit up the team Halloween party Monday night and spared no expense for his look. The only question ... why does a top-flight, insanely fit pro athlete have to draw on ABS?!?!

Hopkins was joined by his mom, Sabrina Greenlee, who dressed up like Cleopatra -- but she also could have gone as herself ... since she's now the basis of a big-time Hollywood movie based on her life story.

Other Texans who showed out at the party ... QB Deshaun Watson who came as Jack Skellington from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

One interesting thing about Deshaun's costume ... he was rocking sunglasses at night -- and we're not sure if it was part of the costume or a result of him being kicked in the eye during the Texans victory over the Oakland Raiders.

Remember, Watson caught a foot in his eye while scrambling in the 4th quarter -- and even though he couldn't see, dude threw a TD pass anyway!

Watson was checked out on the sideline and went back in and played -- but the sunglasses Monday night make us wonder ... he good??

Is Blake Shelton the reason Kyler Murray is quarterbacking the Arizona Cardinals?!?

The country star sure made it seem that way when we got him out in L.A. this week ... 'cause he told us he straight-up forced the Cards' GM to take the Oklahoma QB!!!

"I told Steve Keim that we wouldn't be friends anymore if he didn't take [Kyler] No. 1 in the draft," Blake says.

FYI, Blake is a diehard Cards fan -- he says he's backed the team for more than 20 years -- and says he's got a hell of a relationship with A LOT of high-ranking execs on the team.

So, he really might've swayed Steve!!!

Of course, the pick seems like a no-brainer now (Kyler's KLLIN' it this season) ... but at one point, a lot of people had their doubts about the Heisman Trophy winner.

In fact, Joe Theismann told us way back in April he thought Kyler was making a HUGE mistake by picking football over baseball!!!

But, Shelton says he was always super confident that Murray would be a star for his favorite squad ... telling us, "I love Kyler Murray. I love him."

As for what he thinks Kyler is going to accomplish for the Cards this year ... Shelton gave us a big, fat guarantee -- saying Arizona will make the playoffs!!!
