How Syko Stu Received A Beatdown At A Wrestling Match

Published

Professional wrestler Stuart "Syko Stu" Smith became the subject of intense attention in August 2025 when a video of his beatdown at the hands of Raja Jackson went viral on social media.

The wrestling figure's appearance at an event for KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles turned into a nightmare when Raja, a pro MMA fighter, pummeled the Army veteran into apparent unconsciousness in front of the crowd.

We're going to take a look at how the competitor entered the world of professional wrestling and how he started a period of recovery after the violent incident.

Smith's A Veteran Who Turned To Wrestling To Deal With PTSD

Smith served in the U.S. Army, and he began wrestling in 2009, starting his career just six months after leaving the service.

The wrestler spoke about his decision to turn to the sport in a promotional video for Knokx Pro, expressing he "needed something to focus on" when he returned to civilian life.

Smith also described himself as having dealt with post-traumatic stress disorder, and he said wrestling helped him "adjust" to life outside the armed forces.

He said being in front of a crowd didn't give him "as much anxiety and aggression" as he had expected.

Smith Was Apparently Beaten Into Unconsciousness

Smith and Jackson's first interaction at the event took place prior to the official start of the wrestling match ... the wrestler was seen smashing a beer can into Raja's head on a live stream, although they appeared to mend their differences shortly afterward.

The MMA fighter entered the ring in the middle of Smith's subsequent match, picked up the wrestler, and body-slammed him on the mat, after which he punched Smith multiple times in the head.

Several other wrestlers entered the ring to pull Jackson off Stu, who appeared unconscious during and after the beatdown.

Wrestling reporter Sean Ross later claimed the pair had planned out Jackson's entry into the ring ... although the MMA fighter apparently went way over the line with his punches.

He Ended Up In The Hospital After The Attack

Smith was taken to a hospital after the violent incident, and Ross reported Smith suffered "serious injuries" during the beatdown.

Wrestler Douglas Malo -- one of the individuals who pulled Jackson off Smith -- told USA Today the competitor had several broken bones in his face, as well as missing teeth.

The wrestler's brother Andrew posted on Facebook two days after the event that Stu was "conscious and able to talk" ... although he was facing a lengthy recovery.

Smith's wife Contessa set up a GoFundMe to offset her husband's recovery costs, and professional wrestler Chris Jericho showed his support by contributing a donation of $2,500.

How Raja Jackson Ended Up In Hot Water After Attacking A Wrestler

Published | Updated

Raja Jackson followed in the footsteps of his father, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, as he's made a name for himself for his actions in the ring.

The thing is, the MMA fighter's son's appearance at a wrestling event put on by KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles in August 2025 instantly became infamous, as he repeatedly punched unconscious wrestler Syko Stu in the ring.

We're going to take a look into Raja's background and see how his actions resulted in a huge public backlash.

Raja Followed His Father Into The MMA World

Raja decided he wanted to follow his father into the MMA world in his early adulthood, and his first amateur bout took place in 2021, according to Sherdog.

The athlete won his first fight, and he went on to come out on top in his second and third amateur matchups in 2022.

Raja began competing in professional fights in 2023, and he'd racked up one win and one loss by the time he encountered Syko Stu in the wrestling ring.

Raja's built up 30,000 followers on his Instagram account, where he's shared various photos documenting his journey in MMA.

Raja And Syko Stu Had An Altercation Prior To The Show

Jackson and Syko Stu were first seen interacting prior to the official start of the wrestling event, when Stu slammed a beer can into the MMA fighter's head ... after which they appeared to sort things out before the match.

However, Raja, who live-streamed much of the event, later entered the ring, picked up the wrestler in the middle of the match and body-slammed him ... then punched him a bunch of times in a row, as Stu laid motionless on the mat.

Multiple wrestlers jumped into the ring to pull Jackson off of the unconscious Syko Stu ... and Raja was dragged out of the venue.

Wrestling reporter Sean Ross later claimed the pair's altercation had been planned ... though the punches were apparently unscripted. Syko Stu was later hospitalized, and a GoFundMe was set up for his recovery.

Raja's Actions Were Met With Widespread Disapproval

Raja's beatdown of Syko Stu went viral on social media, and it was met with plenty of reactions, many of which were loudly negative.

The MMA fighter's father, Rampage, posted a message about the incident on his X account and said his son "had no business" being involved in a wrestling match. Rampage also said he didn't "condone my son’s actions AT ALL!"

KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy issued a statement of their own, describing the incident as an "irresponsible act of violence" and described Raja's actions as "reprehensible."

Raja's beatdown of Syko Stu has also caught the attention of the LAPD, and they're currently looking into the violent incident.

The thing is, his romance with Marlen actually started a few years prior to then -- because they started a family with the birth of their daughter Nala in 2017.

The pair's eldest child has accompanied her father during various interviews ever since her birth, and he brought her to the 2021 premiere of "Space Jam: A New Legacy," in which he voiced a character. Talk about a baller daddy-daughter date!

Oh, and both Marlen and Nala were featured in a video shared after the Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship, and the athlete's wife shared she was "extremely happy" about the win.

Marlen And Anthony Share A Pair Of Sons

Marlen and Anthony expanded their family further following Nala's birth, and the athlete confirmed he was looking to welcome another child in 2021.

Marlen subsequently gave birth to a son, whose name hasn't been publicly revealed, and he apparently arrived between the pair's September 2021 wedding -- we'll get to that in just a minute.

The professional athlete confirmed his wife had given birth to a third child -- a baby boy -- in a September 2022 interview with Spectrum News.

By the way, Marlen's got the initials NAD -- likely for Nala -- JAD, and KAD in her Instagram bio ... hey, any hint's better than no hint at all!

Marlen And Anthony Tied The Knot In A Star-Studded Ceremony

Anthony and Marlen decided to make things official when they held a wedding ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California in September 2021.

The affair ended up being pretty star-studded, as celebs like Adele, Rich Paul and Anthony's then-teammate LeBron James were in attendance for the ceremony.

Anthony also showed off a bit of showmanship at the event, as he serenaded his wife with a cover of Dru Hill's "Never Make a Promise" during one of their dances.

And it looks like the wedding worked out pretty okay for Marlen ... because her husband told Spectrum News she was part of his "team" a year after the ceremony!

Luka Doncic How Anamaria Goltes Met Her NBA Fiance ... When They Were Just Kids

Luka Doncic has earned himself a massive NBA fan base -- but we're thinking his biggest fan has to be his future wife Anamaria Goltes!

And it turns out the athlete's been close to his fiancée for way longer than most would expect, as they first met before they'd even hit their teenage years.

We're taking a look at the professional background of Luka's partner, as well as how she ended up starting a family with her future spouse.

Anamaria's A Model And Social Media Figure

Goltes studied at the University of Ljubljana's School of Economics and Business in her native Slovenia, and she continued her studies after moving to Dallas, according to Sports Illustrated.

She eventually began a career as a model, and she kicked off her career by signing on to become an ambassador for Lisca Lingerie in 2017.

The athlete's fiancée's gone on to appear in various campaigns, and she was featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan Slovenia in 2019.

Goltes has also made a name for herself through her social media presence, and she regularly shares updates about her home life with the athlete on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.

Anamaria And Luka Met When They Were Kids

So it turns out Doncic and Goltes go way, way, back, and their first meeting took place before they'd even reached their teenage years, according to the New York Post.

The model made the revelation about her personal life as part of an Instagram Q&A session in 2020, and she recalled hanging out with her now-husband for the first time "when we were 12 years old at the seaside in Croatia."

The pair's connection stayed strong after their initial encounter, and the professional basketball player popped the big question to his now-fiancée on a trip to their native Slovenia in July 2023.

Oh, and Luka proposed on July 7, which looks like it might have been a nod to his usual jersey number, 77!

The Model And The Athlete Share A Daughter

Doncic's proposal wasn't the only big thing to happen for the couple in 2023 ... because their daughter Gabriela was born that same year!

Although it's unclear exactly what date the couple's child was born, Doncic and Goltes shared the news about her arrival in December 2023, when they shared photos of their baby girl on their respective Instagram accounts.

While Goltes usually keeps her daughter's face obscured in her social media posts, she's still shared several photos featuring her child on Instagram ever since her arrival.

The former athlete's wife has gone from matching with the NFL star on a dating app to starting a family and establishing a smash-hit podcast -- all within a decade.

We're going to check out how she made a name for herself through her media career ... and see how she ended up being associated with Taylor Swift.

Kylie's Originally From Pennsylvania and Played Field Hockey in College

Kylie was raised in Narberth, a suburb of Pennsylvania, and she attended nearby Cabrini College, from which she graduated with a degree in communications in 2017.

And Jason's not the only one with a history in athletics in his family, because his wife played field hockey for four seasons while attending college.

Her career with the sport didn't end after she left Cabrini, either, as she went on to become a field hockey coach for her former high school.

Kylie spoke about working with high school-level athletes in an interview with People and expressed she was happy to be able to lead "a wide range of athletes" through her coaching position.

She's a Podcaster and Philanthropist

Kylie eventually began a career as a podcaster, and she launched her own podcast, "Not Gonna Lie," in December 2024.

The podcast proved to be a hit with listeners, and it shot to the number one spot on both Spotify and Apple Music following its debut.

She's also established herself as a philanthropist, and she's helped organize an annual event for the Eagles Autism Foundation since 2022.

The podcaster and her husband helped raise over $1 million for the foundation at an event in New Jersey in June 2025, according to the Eagles' official website.

Kylie and Jason Met on Tinder ... And Eventually Started a Family

Kylie and Jason's love story's a pretty modern one -- they met through Tinder, and they made their relationship Instagram official in 2015.

The pair dated for two years before the former NFL star popped the big question, and they tied the knot in Philadelphia in April 2018.

Kylie and Jason started their family the following October, when the podcaster gave birth to a baby girl named Wyatt.

The philanthropist's family only grew from there, as she subsequently welcomed another three daughters named Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley.

The singer described Kylie and Jason as some of the "realest, the smartest, the coolest" people she knew during her much-hyped August 2025 appearance on the Kelce brothers' "New Heights" podcast.

Malik Beasley How NBA Star Was Cleared in Gambling Probe

Published | Updated

Malik Beasley's had quite the experience in the NBA, as he's gone from playing in some of the highest-profile basketball games to dealing with legal probes into his behavior off-court.

The professional hoops star made a name for himself for bringing serious talent to several teams in the league, as well as for his 2020 arrest and subsequent gambling probe.

We're going to check out how the shooting guard carved out a space for himself in the league -- and had to deal with some troubling matters in between games.

Malik Played a Single Season in College Before Joining the NBA

Beasley received several offers to play college ball when he was in high school, according to Sports Illustrated, and he eventually signed on to join Florida State's team.

The athlete only spent a single season with the Seminoles before he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 2016, and he remained with the organization for four years.

Beasley bounced around from team to team after he left the Nuggets, and he joined the rosters of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks, among others.

The professional basketball player eventually ended up with the Detroit Pistons, signing with the organization in July 2024.

Beasley Got Into Legal Trouble in 2020

Beasley found himself in hot water back in 2020, when he was arrested after authorities said he'd pointed a gun at a family who'd stopped their vehicle in front of his house in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Officials later found marijuana and a stolen gun at his residence after obtaining a warrant to search the athlete's property.

Beasley eventually pleaded guilty to one felony count of threats of violence, and he claimed he "was not in my right mind" when the incident occurred and wanted to "humbly apologize for my actions."

He was sentenced to 120 days in prison, and he was ultimately released in August 2021 after serving just 78 days.

Malik Was the Target of a Gambling Probe ... And Got Off the Hook

Beasley became the subject of an investigation into allegations of gambling, which were related to both NBA games and prop bets, in June 2025, according to ESPN.

A gambling industry source spoke to the outlet and claimed heavy betting activity centered on the athlete's statistics by at least one major U.S.-based sportsbook, beginning in January 2024.

However, Beasley's attorneys Steve Haney and Mike Schachter stated they were able to clear the athlete of wrongdoing after having extensive contact with the Eastern District of New York regarding the gambling probe.

Haney told ESPN the allegations about the athlete's supposed gambling habits had caused "catastrophic consequence" to his client, who had a prospective deal with the Pistons go up in smoke after the gambling probe commenced.

Caitlin Clark How Stalker Michael Lewis Got Locked Up in Prison

Published | Updated

Caitlin Clark's earned herself plenty of attention as the superstar face of the WNBA ... but, unfortunately, not all of that attention has been positive.

The professional basketball player had to deal with a stalker, Michael Lewis, from late 2024 to early 2025, and he was eventually sent to prison for his extensive harassment of the athlete.

We're going to take a look at how Clark's stalker found himself behind bars after exhibiting troubling behavior centered on the Indiana Fever.

Michael Drove From Texas to Indiana to See Clark

Lewis was living in Denton, Texas, when he began trying to get in contact with Clark, sending her over 800 messages, many of which contained threatening and sexually-charged content, between December 2024 and January 2025, according to The Athletic.

Caitlin's stalker was also recorded as having driven all the way from Denton to Indianapolis.

Lewis reportedly drove past the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Indiana Fever play their home games, on several occasions after reaching Indianapolis.

Police reportedly discovered Lewis had bought tickets to a women’s basketball game at Butler University, which Clark was set to attend.

Lewis Defended His Actions When Visited by FBI Agents

Lewis' actions didn't go unnoticed by the authorities, and he was actually questioned by FBI agents in January 2025, when they found him at an Indy hotel.

The athlete's stalker downplayed his actions and messages to Clark, and claimed he was simply in "an imaginary relationship," and added his connection with her didn't "involve any threats."

Lewis told the agents he was in Indianapolis for vacation, and he allowed the agents to search his room to make sure he didn't have any weapons with him.

The agents warned him to stop posting about Clark, and they left after he agreed to be more judicious about his online activity.

He Was Eventually Arrested and Given a Prison Sentence

Lewis didn't stay out of the authorities' sight for long, as he was arrested and charged with stalking, just a few days after his visit with the FBI agents.

We obtained court documents which showed Clark had been rattled by her stalker's behavior, and she was said to have changed her public appearance schedule out of concern for her personal safety.

Lewis' appearance in court was particularly troubling, as he described himself as "guilty as charged" just after sitting down, and he told the judge to "throw me the book" before complaining about not receiving medication for unspecified issues related to his mental health.

The athlete's stalker was ultimately sentenced to two and a half years in prison, although he received credit for time already served. He was prohibited from trying to contact Clark, and he's also been banned from events related to the Indiana Fever and the Pacers.

While the athlete admitted they weren't married yet, he referred to himself as "spoken for" when speaking about his relationship.

The Athlete Eventually Put A Ring On Burrows' Finger

Hurts eventually decided to take his relationship with Burrows to the next level, and he proposed to her in September 2024.

And if you weren't convinced about their romance by now ... he referred to her as his "rock" at a press conference just before the 2025 Super Bowl, according to Essence.

Bry and Jalen held a private wedding ceremony later in the year, and then tied the knot for the second time with a big multi-day June event in Napa Valley.

The quarterback revealed he'd popped the big question to his now-fiancée in February 2025 ... although he actually did the deed way back in 2024, according to People.

And it gets better ... because Barkley actually admitted to proposing to his future wife made him more nervous than preparing for the 2025 Super Bowl -- and his team won, by the way.

Barkley also described himself as "a lover boy, but I'm not like a clever lover boy" -- hey, there's someone for everyone out there!

How Olivia Ponton Established Herself As A Model And Influencer

Published

Olivia Ponton's received plenty of attention over the past few years ... and not all of it's been for her work in the fashion world!

The model's public profile really took off after she started a career as an influencer, and her work's taken her to some interesting places -- like the residence of an NFL player, which we'll get to in a little while.

We're going to take a look at how the social media personality shot to internet stardom right out of high school ... and ended up being linked to a star quarterback.

Olivia Started Working as a Model When She Was a Teenager

Ponton was raised down south in Naples, Florida, and spent much of her early life in the Sunshine State.

The influencer's life changed when she was just 17, after she took a trip to New York City and signed with Wilhelmina Models.

She's since appeared in campaigns for several high-profile brands, including SKIMS and Victoria's Secret PINK, among others.

Ponton was also featured in the 2022 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and she told Grazia she "didn’t believe" her invitation to appear in the publication was real at first.

She Became an Influencer During the Pandemic

Ponton's career as an influencer kicked off after the start of COVID-19, when she started sharing videos on her TikTok account, mainly to deal with a slowed-down modeling schedule.

She described her sudden rise to fame as "a little hard to process" in her conversation with Grazia, and hey, anyone who racked up millions of followers in just a few years would probably say the same thing!

The social media personality's content ranges from videos about shopping and fitness to updates about her personal life, which has become the subject of intense speculation from sports fans ... which we'll talk about in just a minute.

Ponton's also done a bit of work for the big screen, as she made a cameo in the 2024 romantic drama film "It Ends With Us."

Rumors Have Swirled About Her Connection to an NFL Star

Ponton's connection to NFL star Joe Burrow was revealed in a seriously unexpected way back in December 2024 -- because she called the cops after his house was burglarized!

And if you weren't scratching your head about the situation already, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office stated the model was actually an employee of the quarterback ... it's a little confusing, we know.

The rumors about their connection naturally began to swirl after that, and she refused to answer any questions regarding the athlete after being caught by the paparazzi in May 2025.

And even though Ponton wouldn't say anything about her and Burrow at the time ... they were spotted in each other's company during a night out in New York City the following month.

How JFK's Grandson Jack Schlossberg Made A Name For Himself

Published

Melania Trump's idea of sending a letter to Vladimir Putin about the experience of Ukrainian children during the ongoing war didn't exactly go over well with much of the American public -- including John F. Kennedy's grandson, Jack Schlossberg.

Schlossberg released a video mocking the First Lady for her actions -- although his ridicule wasn't exactly his first time talking politics, as he's made a name for himself for discussing political matters online.

We're going to take a look into the background of the former president's grandson and see how he went from attending prominent schools and living abroad to finding an audience on social media.

Jack Is JFK's Only Grandson

Jack's the only son of Caroline Kennedy and her husband, Edwin Schlossberg. Caroline is the daughter of the 35th president and his wife, Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Caroline and Edwin also have a pair of daughters, Rose and Tatiana.

Jack's parentage means he's connected to other prominent members of the Kennedy extended family, including U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his first cousin once removed.

Jack is not a fan of his cousin's work in Washington, D.C. ... he's been pretty open about his disapproval of the politician's policies and priorities. He described his relative as an "embarrassment" in an Instagram video he shared in 2023.

Jack Attended Ivy League Schools And Lived In Japan

Jack attended Yale University, where he wrote for various campus publications and studied Japanese history before graduating in 2015.

And you gotta imagine the degree helped him out a bit ... because his mother was the United States Ambassador to Japan from 2013 until 2017, and he lived and worked in the country for a little while, too!

Jack eventually returned to the United States, and he began attending Harvard Law in 2017 and Harvard Business School in 2018 for a dual degree. Oh, and just in case you didn't know, there's actually a bunch of buildings and a street on campus named after his grandfather -- some place for him to end up, huh?

He graduated from the institution in 2022 and took the New York State Bar Exam -- which he passed on his first try -- the following year.

He's Maintained A Presence In Politics

Jack's been pretty active in politics over the course of his life -- he is part of the Kennedy family, after all -- and he worked as a page for former Massachusetts Senator John Kerry before becoming a Senate intern in 2011.

He appeared at the Democratic National Convention in 2020 and 2024, where he gave speeches endorsing former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris, respectively.

The 2024 election season proved to be a big one for Jack, as he was named the political correspondent for Vogue.

Jack's also a prominent figure on TikTok and Instagram, where he often shares short-form content dealing with politics -- although the content's definitely a bit more tongue-in-cheek as compared to his more high-profile work.

How Kayla Nicole Established Herself As A Media Personality

Published

Everyone knows the public profile of a football star's partner tends to rise alongside the player's ... and Kayla Nicole's no exception!

The media figure's rise to stardom occurred during her time with Travis Kelce, with whom she maintained an on-off relationship for several years.

We're going to see how the influencer carved out a space for herself in the world of pop culture ... and check out what she's said about her ex's relationship with Taylor Swift.

Kayla's Played Several Roles In Her Professional Life

Nicole's well-trained for maintaining a career in front of the camera -- because she graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California with a degree in journalism in 2018.

The influencer's been associated with various outlets over the course of her career, and she's hosted interviews for sources like ESPN and Barstool Sports.

She started her own podcast, "The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole," in April 2025, and she's also founded a wellness brand called Tribe Therepē.

And if all that wasn't enough for you ... she's also worked as a brand ambassador, and she's partnered with companies like Revolve and Savage X Fenty.

Kayla And Travis Maintained An On-Again-Off-Again Relationship

Nicole's relationship with Kelce began all the way back in the 2010s, and she shared a now-deleted Instagram Story to let her followers know she made the first move and slid into his DMs.

The pair officially began dating in 2017 and remained together until their first split in 2020 ... the football player denied he'd cheated on Twitter (X) at the time.

Nicole and Kelce eventually reconciled, and he referred to her as "my girlfriend" and described her as "the absolute best" in a Q&A session with Chiney Ogwumike in December 2020.

The podcaster and the professional football player broke up for the second and final time in May 2022, putting an end to their love story.

Kayla's Actually Fond Of Taylor

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you know Kelce eventually moved on with Taylor Swift, becoming one of the biggest power couples out there right now.

And get this -- Nicole actually has some pretty fond feelings for the singer, who she described as "very talented" on a 2025 episode of "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test," according to Sports Illustrated.

The podcaster even went so far as to say she "really" liked her ex-boyfriend's partner while speaking about their relationship.

However, she also spoke about receiving online hate from Swifties in the years since Kelce and Swift's romance began, and claimed the harsh comments actually made her question her "overall value as a person or a partner."
