Jimmy Kimmel Pal's Arrest Largely Based on Wife's ID
Jimmy Kimmel's good friend who was arrested for allegedly making criminal threats from inside his beachside rental home got busted because of a key ear-witness -- his estranged wife ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us famous chef and best selling author Adam Perry Lang's arrest was based in large part on the 911 recording -- in which a man said he was inside Jimmy's Hermosa Beach rental home with explosives and had assaulted his girlfriend with a high-powered rifle.
Our law enforcement sources say cops went to the home of Lang's estranged wife at around 3 AM Sunday and asked her if she could ID the voice on the call. We're told she said it could be Adam and it sounded like him, except for a Canadian phrase the caller used at the end.
Cops tell us there was other evidence that led to Lang's arrest, although they would not be specific. We're told cops on scene talked with Lang when he came out of the house and claim his voice sounded like the 911 caller.
Lang's lawyer, Glen T. Jonas, begs to differ, saying his client absolutely did not call the cops and insists the 8-hour standoff occurred because he had his ringer off and was sound asleep.
Jonas tells TMZ, "He immediately cooperated once he was notified of the commotion. Mr. Lang was the victim of 'swatting.' The person that called 911 gave the address which is consistent with swatting. There is no landline at the residence and his cellphone logs show he made no calls to 911. We are confident he will be fully exonerated."
Jimmy told us Sunday he was told by cops it was a swatting incident, but cops later told us they did not believe it was swatting.

6:20 PM PT -- Lang's lawyer, Glen T. Jonas, tells TMZ, "The 'male' that called 911 was absolutely not Adam Perry Lang. Mr. Lang will be cleared of any wrongdoing. He was fast asleep with his ringer off. He immediately cooperated once he was notified of the commotion."
3:15 PM PT -- We've learned Lang was booked on making felony criminal threats and his bail was set at $50,000. Now this is interesting ... according to the cops, when they arrived at the house they tried for "several hours" to make contact with Lang. When they finally did, a police official tells us the crisis team "made telephone contact with the male who ultimately agreed to exit the residence." The word "ultimately" could be telling ... it makes it sound like Lang was not immediately willing to exit.
2:30 PM PT -- Hermosa Beach police just told us they are not calling this a swatting situation. One officer said, "There is a reason we arrested him [Lang]. There is evidence detectives are now processing." This is in contrast to what we were told by Jimmy's people. A rep for Jimmy tells us Kimmel was told specifically by a lieutenant they believed it was a case of swatting.
A beach house owned by Jimmy Kimmel was the scene of a massive police presence Saturday just before midnight ... in what may be a swatting situation ... TMZ has learned.
Eyewitnesses tell us a slew of cops swarmed Kimmel's Hermosa Beach home -- a house that is not his primary residence. We're told Jimmy and his family were not there. A friend of his -- Adam Perry Lang -- was staying at the house and sleeping. Lang is a chef and best selling author.
Police helicopters were flying above, and there was also at least one police-operated drone. We're told houses adjacent to Kimmel's corner lot were evacuated as a precaution. Cops tell us they were there for 8 hours before they were able to establish contact with Lang.
TMZ has obtained dispatch audio of cops explaining ... a male called 911 saying he had two explosives in the home and he'd assaulted his girlfriend with a rifle.
We've learned one person was taken into custody -- Lang, who apparently woke up, walked outside and was escorted to a police car without incident.
Jimmy went to the Hermosa Beach Police Department Sunday at around noon and bailed his friend out. We're told cops have not yet formally cleared Lang.
Cops found no explosives, weapons or any evidence of a shooting inside the house.
Police tell us no one involved in the incident was injured.

Hugh Hefner's Widow Sells Home He Left Her ... For $5 Million
-
EXCLUSIVE
Crystal Harris just unloaded the home Hugh Hefner left her for $5 million.
Hefner bought the 4 bedroom pad in the Hollywood Hills back in 2013. The backstory is interesting. Hef married Crystal in 2012, and the next year he wanted to make sure she had a roof over her head when he died. You'd think the Playboy Mansion would have been enough, but the fact is Hef didn't own it ... it was owned by Playboy Enterprises, and he was worried it might be sold and his wife would be displaced.
So, in 2013, he bought the house which was held in trust for the 2 of them. When he died in September 2017, she became the sole owner.
As for how much the house appreciated in value ... it didn't. Crystal listed it for $7.2 mil, but it didn't sell. She just sealed the deal on the 5,900 square foot home for $5 mil -- the price for which it was purchased.
L.A. realtors Jason Oppenheim and Christine Quinn represented the buyer.
Hugh died peacefully at the Playboy Mansion in September 2017 at age 91, surrounded by loved ones. The mogul's health had been deteriorating for years, and was barely seen in public in the months before his death.

Chris Brown's Baby Mama Nia Guzman's Home Burglarized ... While She Was Next Door!!!
Chris Brown and his baby mama are both having a difficult week, because a day after Breezy was arrested for allegedly raping a woman in Paris, Nia Guzman had her Los Angeles home burglarized ... TMZ has learned.
Sources close to Chris' baby mama tell TMZ ... someone entered Nia's apartment Tuesday night and stole a ton of designer bags and shoes belonging to Nia, her oldest daughter and the former couple's daughter, Royalty.
And, get this ... we're told Nia was visiting her mom in the apartment next door when the heist went down.
Our law enforcement sources confirmed the burglary ... and we're told LAPD is investigating, but there aren't any suspects or leads yet.
It's interesting ... we're told Nia believes someone's been watching her routine, because they struck while she was at her mom's place. We're told Nia left the lights and TV on while she stepped out, but her door was unlocked.
As for Chris ... he's been released from custody in France and plans to sue his alleged rape victim for defamation.

Wiz Khalifa just swooped a super modern pad -- and it only cost him a few mil.
We've learned the Pittsburgh rapper closed on a new mansion Wednesday in Encino, CA -- near Tarzana, Calabasas and other rich areas north of L.A. -- and our real estate sources tell us he dropped a cool $3.4 million on the property. Helluva deal, considering how nice this place is.
With four bedrooms suites, the 2-story estate boasts what just about every baller pad might feature -- floating stairs, a theater, a 100-bottle wine bar, floor-to-ceiling glass pocket doors, a waterfall island outside ... and a sick master suite with its own fireplace.
The house is also a smart home, with a built-in alarm and 4 exterior cameras. Can't be too careful these days with all the break-ins in and around town. Good call, Wiz.
David Ferrugio and Ben Bacal of Rodeo Realty had the listing.

R. Kelly Inside Alleged 'Sex Cult' Studio ... Photos Show Bizarre Scene
Photos from inside R. Kelly's alleged "sex cult" recording studio in Chicago have just been released ... showing proof of code violations and plenty of evidence someone may have been living there.

During one point in the documentary, the family of one of Kelly's alleged victims showed up at the property to try and rescue their daughter.

As we reported ... the studio was hit with a laundry list of building code violations, and Kelly is being barred from using the space for anything other than a recording studio from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Manny Pacquiao Home Burglarized Day After Broner Fight
Manny Pacquiao's Los Angeles home was burglarized less than 24 hours after the boxer defeated Adrien Broner.
Law enforcement sources tell us they got a call Sunday from someone on Pacquiao's team regarding the crime. We're told there were signs of forced entry and the home was ransacked.
Pacquiao was not home at the time ... he was still in Las Vegas. Pacquiao beat Broner by unanimous decision Saturday.
At this time, it is not known what all was taken from the boxer's home. Cops do not have any suspects.
Manny's victory over Broner improves his pro record an impressive 61-7-2. Pacquiao won the fight via unanimous decision and he looked pretty good.
Now, the question is ... will Manny and Floyd Mayweather work out a deal for a rematch? Remember, both fighters had been teasing a 2nd fight for months but so far, no deal has been made.
The last time Manny and Floyd fought, both guys made a TON of cash -- Floyd raked in around $300 MIL and Manny's haul was around $100 MIL.

Chris Hansen's appears to be having a rough time, at least financially -- he's getting booted from his home in Manhattan ... TMZ has learned.
According to legal docs ... the former host of "To Catch a Predator" last paid rent in August 2018, but was $400 short, and stopped sending checks altogether after that. So, the owner of the pad went to court in October and filed paperwork to have Chris evicted.
In the eviction docs, the landlord says Chris owes $400 for August, plus $3,600 for September.
Hansen was ordered out of the apartment last week by a judge and given 10 days to vacate. The official eviction day is Friday, and city marshals are set to perform removal services then.
As we reported, Hansen was arrested Monday in Stamford, Connecticut for larceny -- he allegedly bounced a couple checks to cover a $13k tab for a bunch of merch he bought.
We reached out to Chris for comment on the eviction. So far, no word back.

A Boogie wit da Hoodie's on a victory lap -- celebrating his #1 album by buying houses and trucks for his family and pounds of jewelry for himself -- and he says any artist who's relying on selling albums anymore is just plain stupid.
The rapper's riding high right now atop the Billboard charts -- despite selling just 823 physical records -- and when we got him leaving Rockefeller Center in NYC Wednesday night ... he makes it pretty clear the low sales are now totally irrelevant.
A Boogie tells us streaming's the new king of the music biz, and with his new album, "Hoodie SZN," getting 83 MILLION streams last week ... he's got the crown.
There's more, though ... the hip-hop artist -- whose real name is Artist, btw -- says he's got new music coming out with Tekashi 6ix9ine soon, along with a music vid for his track "Swervin'" featuring 69.
That's sure to bring in a lot more streams ... and a lot more bling.
"F**k sales," indeed.

The Mountain Of Bev Hills $400 Million Offer Rejected By Owners That's Chump Change, Bro
-
EXCLUSIVE
There's a real estate battle brewing for the most expensive property in the history of Los Angeles, fittingly dubbed "The Mountain," because we've learned the owners of the incredible mountaintop property just laughed off a developer's $400 MILLION offer!!!
Sources familiar with the negotiations tell TMZ ... builder Scott Gillen recently submitted a $400 mil bid, but the estate's ownership group scoffed and came back with a $600 million counter!
It's interesting ... "The Mountain" is listed for $1 BILLION, but the counteroffer from ownership group Secure Capital Partners is $400 mil below the 10-figure asking price. Overvalued much?
Gillen tells us, "I saw an opportunity to expand my brand in the city, something I've wanted to do for some time. If they're smart, they'll take the offer."
We're told Gillen has grand plans to build 6 homes on the sprawling 157-acre plot of land in Bev Hills, which sits atop a mountain overlooking all of L.A. ... while the owners envision a single home being built on the 1.5 million square foot property. Regardless, the impasse is all about money.
Scott's no stranger to massive land purchases. Last year, he set a Malibu real estate record when he plunked down $50 mil on a 24-acre plot. Still, we're told "The Mountain" deal is likely going nowhere because Gillen doesn't want to budge.
We reached out to the listing agent, Aaron Kirman, who had no comment.
The good news ... if you're part of the 3 comma club, "The Mountain" could still be yours!

Justin & Hailey Plumbing Problems are the Pits ... Hunting for New L.A. Pad
Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey, have learned a valuable lesson -- before you drop a ton of cash on a new home ... double-check the pipes.
Sources close to the Biebers tell TMZ ... they were forced to leave their $100k/month crib in the San Fernando Valley last month after a major plumbing issue arose, among other problems.
We broke the story ... JB signed a lease to rent the 4 bedroom, 7 bathroom Mediterranean-style house in October, but we're told the couple's had a bunch of issues.
A pool heater broke, there was trouble with the AC and a pipe burst ... which our sources say was the final straw.
They've moved out, but there's no worry the landlord will go after them for breaking a lease. We're told this was a month-to-month deal, so they're in the clear.
Justin and Hailey have been staying at a Beverly Hills hotel ever since, and if the vid of Justin singing in front of the hotel is any indication ... they've been making the most of it.
But now, we're told they want a place of their own, so they're on the hunt. As for whether they'll commit to buying, our sources say the couple's on the fence.

We've confirmed the celeb couple is listing their kick-ass 4,000 sq. ft. Park Ave pad for a cool $17.5 million, as first reported by the NY Post. You'll recall ... J Lo and A-Rod bought the 3 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom apartment back in March, dropping $15.3 million on their first real estate purchase together.

Justin and Hailey Bieber House Hunting ... Is This One Big Enough?!?
Justin and Hailey Bieber are still looking to become L.A. homeowners ... because they just checked out a massive property that's definitely large enough to start their new family.
The newlyweds were seen leaving this Encino mansion Tuesday afternoon, and it doesn't look like a second straight day of house hunting is stressing them out.
Justin and Hailey checked out a sprawling estate in the Royal Oaks section of Encino ... and the deets are pretty wild. It's 12,500 square feet of luxury sitting at the end of a cul-de-sac, and the 10-bedroom, 11-bathroom home is being listed for a cool $13 million!
Yeah, that's a hefty price tag ... but JB is already renting a place in the valley for $100k/month, so he can definitely afford it.
Sounds like this new place has plenty of space for their furry new family addition to roam around.

Emily Blunt & John Krasinski Drop $11 Mil for Full-Floor Spread
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have an entire floor in an NYC luxury apartment building all to themselves -- but it didn't come cheap ... and their work ain't over yet.
The couple spent around $11 million this past summer to close on two units in Brooklyn Heights' swanky Standish building -- where Matt Damon once spent upwards of $16 mil for a penthouse. Em and John don't quite touch his number, but it's close.
The two apartments -- which are adjacent to each other -- take up the entire eighth floor. While it's not set in stone just yet ... chances are, John and Emily are gonna be knocking down some walls to have one giant home.
The square footage of the units isn't listed, but if it's anything like the entire 10th floor unit -- which is reportedly 5,000 square feet -- the couple will have plenty of space for themselves and their two kids. It also comes with all the bells and whistles you'd expect ... a doorman, an elevator, a concierge, a gym and lots more.
John and Emily appear to be fleeing the West Coast and relocating in New York -- they've already unloaded two homes in L.A. over the past couple of years.
Welcome to the City, you two.

Trevor Noah Drops $20 Million On Bel-Air Bachelor Pad
Trevor Noah added an incredible piece of property to his portfolio ... because we've learned he recently dropped a boatload of cash on a baller bachelor pad.
Our real estate sources confirm Trevor plunked down over $20 MILLION for a jaw-dropping estate in Bel-Air ... and the 'Daily Show' host quietly purchased the contemporary mansion through a blind trust.
Trevor's new digs, first reported by Yolanda's Little Black Book, are pretty insane. The two-level pad is a whopping 10,044 square feet, and it's surrounded by glass walls and wraparound terraces, giving Trevor some breathtaking views of L.A.
The 1.31-acre property sits on a hillside lot in western Bel-Air, on a quiet cul-de-sac ... but there's nothing quiet about Trevor's place. The master suite is massive -- we're talking 2,200 feet -- and we haven't even mentioned the home theater, infinity pool and the 500-gallon saltwater aquarium!!!
As if that's not enough for Trevor to entertain his guests ... there are 3 other bedrooms with unobstructed views, and one is an "ultra private VIP suite" with private entrance.
Mauricio Umansky and James Harris of The Agency listed the property -- and Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland repped Trevor.
Congrats, Trev!
