John Kapelos -- who also appeared in "Sixteen Candles," "Weird Science" and several episodes of "Justified" -- is being sued by Michelle Vlahos ... who claims he used "powers of persuasion" to pounce on her loneliness and her craving for male companionship.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Michelle says John "utilized his theatrical instincts" to create a position of trust before convincing her sometime in 2006 to fork over money to pay his bills, clothing, groceries and luxury items.

Teresa and Joe Giudice We're Back in the Black ... Almost Bankruptcy Case Closed

Published | Updated

Teresa and Joe Giudice are getting the boot ... from bankruptcy court ... TMZ has learned.

According to docs, the judge in their bankruptcy case has dismissed the matter. The 'RHONJ' stars aren't completely out of debt yet, but they're close.

The judge says the 2 remaining creditors are the IRS and the NJ Dept. of Treasury. However, the couple already has a payment plan in place for both agencies ... so, there's no longer a need for the judge to oversee their case.

That's the good news. Bad news -- Joe's still serving out his 41-month sentence for fraud ... he'll get out next year. Of course, Teresa already did her time, more than 11 months for fraud.

KAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH!

Kim Kardashian and the rest of the fam might have added a few million bucks to Spanx's revenue, and its billionaire founder, Sara Blakely, couldn't be more grateful.

We got Sara at LAX and our guy wanted to know just how much value the Kardashians have pumped into the brand. The sisters are NOT shy about letting it be known they rock Spanx every chance they get. Kim even blogged about doubling up on the footless tights.

Sara's totally aware of the Kardashians' shout-outs, and we ask her if the "all publicity is good publicity" theory applies ... even when haters shame celebs for wearing Spanx. You might be surprised with her answer.

Also ... Sara puts to rest the debate about whether it's kosher for men to ask if women are wearing Spanx.

Jay-Z Sued There's Reasonable Doubt I'm Getting My Royalties!!!

Published | Updated

Jay-Z struck a deal on his debut studio album with a music biz veteran -- agreeing to pay him royalties -- but about 10 years ago the checks stopped coming and the guy wants his money ... according to a new suit.

Raynard Herbert claims he used his connections to help land Jay's Roc-A-Fella a distribution deal in 1995, which led to an agreement where he'd get 1% of sales on the famed "Reasonable Doubt" album, which he also claims to have helped master.

According to the docs ... everything was going fine with the arrangement until November 2008, the last time Herbert claims he got paid.

He says he reached out to Jay-Z's peeps in May 2010 to inquire about his missing royalty checks, and also update his address ... to no avail.

Herbert claims since then, he's not been paid his contractually promised 1% on "Reasonable Doubt." He's suing to get what he believes he's owed ... plus damages, interest and extra fees.

Mark Wahlberg Takes Back Offer To Give Conor Piece of UFC

Mark Wahlberg says his offer to give Conor McGregor a piece of his UFC ownership stake has expired ... telling TMZ Sports, the dude has already been compensated enough!

Mark -- along with a bunch of other big stars like Sylvester Stallone, Tom Brady and Ben Affleck -- got a piece of the UFC back in 2016.

And right after Conor had defeated Nate Diaz and Eddie Alvarez, Mark offered to sell him part of his ownership stake after McGregor had griped that he wasn't getting paid enough.

But that was BEFORE Conor made $100 MILLION fighting Floyd Mayweather in August 2017 ... and apparently, that has changed the circumstances for Wahlberg.

Don't feel bad for either guy ... they're both gonna be fine.

By the way, Wahlberg also weighs in on all of the New England Patriots drama and why everyone HOPES there's a rift between the top guys in Pats Nation.

NINJA'S WORLD

You don't gotta be an NBA star to pull world-class chicks -- because pro gamers are doing pretty damn well these days ... this according to Fortnite god Ninja.

With gaming events like Fortnite and League of Legends selling out stadiums -- yes, STADIUMS -- pro gamers are making more cash and are becoming more famous than ever.

So, when we saw Ninja at the Fortnite Pro-Am at the E3 convention in L.A., we asked how he felt about that old stereotype that gamers are just nerds who live in their parents' basement.

Bottom line ... if you're still thinking that way, you're living in the stone age.

"I think that if they want to, [pro gamers] can have relationships, find relationships from their popularity just like professional basketball players can go out and if he's not married ... probably find someone."

He's right. Case in point -- FaZe Censor ... a pro gamer who's dating SMOKING HOT WEATHER GIRL YANET GARCIA!!!

There's more ... Ninja also says there was a celebrity at the Pro-Am who's got real skills on the sticks. And after some sleuthing, we found out the guy he's talking about is Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen!

So, if the whole NFL thing doesn't work out, sounds like the pro-gamer life is a pretty sweet gig!!!

Fun Fact: Ninja and his celeb teammate, Marshmello, ended up winning the $1 MILLION top prize at the Pro-Am.

TASTE THE RAINBOW

We're told the two happened to run into one another while Slim was in town to celebrate her bday. She's cool with Tekashi's Tr3way family, so Tekashi took her shopping to celebrate.

Slim made off with a fanny pack, sunglasses, wallet, and a dress ... totaling more than $75k. Unclear if she got to keep the giant 69 chain around her neck.

As we previously reported ... the two rappers have ongoing beef that's been going back and forth on social media, and doesn't look like Tekashi's squashing it anytime soon.

Your move, Keef.

NEW FUEGO

Backpack Kid's signature dance, the Floss, is already immortalized in Fortnite ... and, while he says he never got a penny from the game, he's not sweatin' it -- 'cause he's banking on a new dance.

BK, aka Russell Horning, was at Tuesday's first ever E3 Celebrity Pro-Am, where celebs like Pete Wentz and EDM DJ Marshmello squared off for $1 million jackpot for charity.

The video game is worth about a billion dollars and featured Russell's moves, but his moves were retired when the new season of the video game launched.

Fortnite never cut Russell, who's 16, a check for the feature, but Russell says he could care less because it was a huge honor, and he's already moved on to a new dance he's aptly calling "The Money Dance." He gave us a preview.

BTW, Russell probably busted it out after the tournament. He finished 10th and won $30k for charity.

Joel McHale is so impressed by how much Pete Davidson spent on Ariana Grande's engagement ring ... he's lobbying for an 'SNL' gig. Jokingly. We think.

We got Joel at the Fortnite Pro-Am tournament near downtown L.A. -- he was paired with Markiplier, for you Fortnite heads. Anyway, we broke the Ariana-Pete engagement news to Joel, and you gotta see his reaction. The $93k price tag for the ring really did blow him away.

Unlike some naysayers, Joel told us the couple's young age -- they're both 24 -- isn't necessarily a bad thing. He's got a great example.

Plus, he dropped a little wisdom about whether they should draw up a prenup.

John Schneider That Was Easy!!! 3 Days in Jail Over in Hours

Published | Updated

John Schneider's time in jail was about as long as a 'Lord of the Rings' movie ... thanks to overcrowding -- but he's got a lot to do to avoid going back.

We broke the story ... the 'Dukes of Hazzard' star was sentenced to 3 days in County lockup for failure to pay up more than $150k in back spousal support to his estranged wife. He checked in Tuesday morning and even posted a video as he drove there, encouraging fans to buy some of his gear.

According to law enforcement ... he checked in at 10:29 AM, and was out at 3:46 PM. Sounds like celebrity justice, but fact is, most non-violent offenders in L.A. County jail get severely shortened sentences due to jail overcrowding.

He's not in the clear yet, though. As we reported, Schneider still has to do 240 hours of community service, and complete a long list of financial obligations, or he'll get an additional 5-day sentence.

Or roughly 7-8 hours ... based on Tuesday's brief stay.

Paul Marciano Resigns from Guess Board ... Company Pays $500k to Accusers

Published | Updated

4:15 PM PT -- Lisa Bloom says she represented 4 of the 5 accusers, who each claim they were sexually assaulted by Marciano by him groping or forcing them to perform sex acts. She says each of the women are opting to remain anonymous, and accepted the settlement because it is "preferable to litigation."

She added the women have retained their rights to tell their story one day.

Paul Marciano is stepping down as executive chairman at Guess after his company forked over $500,000 to 5 people who accused him of sexual harassment.

According to documents filed by Guess, Marciano resigned on Monday ... although the company will keep him on as Chief Creative Officer until January in order to make a smooth transition to a successor. He will receive his full pay until then, according to the docs.

Guess says it reached settlements with Marciano's 5 accusers. During a review of the allegations, Guess claims it interviewed more than 40 people and combed through more than a million pages of documents and emails.

The company's Special Committee found Marciano used "poor judgment" in the way he dealt with models and photographers. They also said he put himself in situations where it was "plausible" he'd be accused of misconduct.

As we reported, Kate Upton very publicly accused Marciano of sexual misconduct during her photo shoots and business meetings. It's unclear if she is among the accusers who settled.

Ariana Grande Pete Davidson Dropped Nearly $100k on Engagement Ring

Miller was busted for DUI last month, shortly after their split went public ... Ariana tweeted hours after the arrest, saying, "Pls take care of yourself."

As for the newly engaged couple ... they took their celebrations to Disneyland Monday.

John Schneider Staring Down Even More Jail Time ... Meanwhile, Buy My Gear!!!

John Schneider's still busy plugging books and t-shirts as he walks into jail to serve 3 days -- but he could be looking at an even longer sentence if he doesn't get busy following a court order ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... the 'Dukes of Hazzard' star was sentenced for failure to pony up more than $150k in back spousal support to his estranged wife, Elvira. He's starting his time behind bars Tuesday, and even recorded himself on his way to the County lockup. In one of the most Hollywood moves ever ... he encouraged fans to support him while he's in jail by buying a bunch of his gear.

Thing is ... he's got bigger fish to fry. According to court docs, Schneider has a long list of things to do before the end of 2018 and, if he fails, he faces 5 more days in L.A. County jail. Among the things he's gotta complete: file tax returns for 2014 through 2016, fork over certain financial docs, and pay Elvira half of all the money he earns.

Maybe it is a good idea to keep plugging his merch.

President Trump Kim Jong-un Handshake Happened on $12k Carpet

Published | Updated

President Trump and Kim Jong-un's handshake heard around the world also happened to take place on some pretty pricey rug -- and it was all footed by the U.S. Government -- TMZ has learned.

According to federal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- that document lodging and other expenses for the trip ... the American Embassy in Singapore is on the hook for about $162k. About $151k of that pertains to costs incurred at the Shangri-La Hotel, where the U.S. delegation, including the Prez, stayed leading up to the face-to-face.

An additional $12,000 was charged to cover the carpets used for Trump's meeting with Kim at the Capella Hotel.

Unclear how much Trump himself was charged specifically to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel ... he was only there for 2 days, after all. But, the receipts do show that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's team was singled out for a bit more than $8k of the grand total.

Diplomacy doesn't come cheap.
