Safaree Robber Who Stole Cash and Jewelry Pleads Guilty

Published

One of the guys who allegedly robbed Safaree at gunpoint last year won't roll the dice on a trial -- he's pled guilty to a felony and is cutting a pretty good deal ... considering he was staring down a potential 20 years behind bars.

Carl Harry is the only one of the 3 alleged robbers to cop a deal. He's pled guilty to 1 count of conspiracy to commit theft, and prosecutors have agreed to recommend a sentence of 364 days in the Bergen County Jail, with 5 years probation after that.

Harry's other 6 charges will be dismissed. So, pretty good tradeoff.

The other 2 men charged, Shawn Harewood -- who Safaree knew fairly well -- and Tacuma Ashman, are slated for trial in December. Their 7-count indictments still stand.

As we reported, Safaree was held at gunpoint and robbed of more than $180k in cash and jewelry. Authorities say the men had been tracking Safaree for a while and cornered him in a parking garage where it all went down ... to their dismay, right in front of security cameras.

Harry will be sentenced in January.

'L&HH' Star Rich Dollaz Arrested Again ... In Deadbeat Dad Territory

Rich Dollaz might want to think about changing his handle ... the "Love & Hip Hop New York" star just got busted for not paying child support ... again.

The Hudson County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ ... Rich Dollaz was arrested Thursday at his home in New Jersey and was booked for failure to pay child support. We're told Rich owes more than $125,000 to the mother of his child.

Police tell us Dollaz was processed at the jail and taken to Hudson County Family Court for a hearing. We're told Rich posted $20,000 bail with an agreement to start making monthly child support payments.

Child support issues are nothing new for Rich. As we've reported, the music exec got busted in October 2014 for owing $11k and again in February 2015 for owing nearly $200k.

Felicity Huffman Out of Prison After Only 11 Days

Published | Updated

Felicity Huffman is out of prison -- EARLY, because she only served 11 days of her 14-day sentence.

She was released from the federal facility in Northern Cal early Friday morning. The scheduled release date was Sunday, but apparently there's a policy that inmates whose release date falls on a weekend get sprung the Friday before.

Felicity's still not finished with her sentence. She still has to perform 250 hours of community service. She's already paid the $30,000 fine in connection with her guilty plea in the college admissions scandal.

Mind you ... prosecutors initially were gunning for a year in prison for Felicity, which they scaled back to 4 months, and then one month. The Probation Dept. rebuffed prosecutors and said they'd be satisfied if she served no jail time.

Timing is everything.

Lori Loughlin's Husband Allegedly Emailed ... 'I Had to Work the System'

Published | Updated

Lori Loughlin's husband practically admitted to paying big bucks to get their daughter into USC ... according to prosecutors.

In the indictment that brought a new charge upon Lori and Mossimo Giannulli, he's accused of emailing their accountant admitting to working the system to get their daughter admitted.

According to the docs ... Mossimo forwarded a $200,000 invoice he got from Rick Singer to his accountant for payment in April 2017 and wrote, "Good news my daughter...is in [U]SC... bad is I had to work the system."

Prosecutors claim on or about the same day, the daughter received a formal acceptance letter from USC and Mossimo wired the money.

As we reported ... the U.S. Attorney out of Boston filed a new charge of Federal Program Bribery against the couple Tuesday. The 2 allegedly paid $500,000 to the mastermind, Singer, to get their daughters into USC ... and this $200k is allegedly part of that total.

The new charge carries a maximum 5-year prison sentence. They've already charged Lori and Mossimo with various other crimes that could land them in prison for 40 years.

Of course ... they could also possibly cop a plea deal.

Lizzo Back Me Up, Judge!!! These Guys Didn't Put in on 'Truth Hurts'

Published | Updated

Lizzo's going to war -- a legal war -- with three songwriters who've been making a lot of noise, claiming they wrote parts of her #1 hit ... but Lizzo says that's BS.

Lizzo filed legal docs Wednesday in federal court asking a judge to declare the 3 men have no copyright on "Truth Hurts," and no right to share in the song's immense profits.

You've probably seen this bubbling up on social media. One of the songwriters -- Justin Raisen -- has claimed he cowrote a song called "Healthy" with Lizzo last year. He claims Lizzo lifted the signature lyric, "I just took a DNA test turns out I'm 100% that bitch" from "Healthy."

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Lizzo says that line is actually from a 2017 tweet that became a popular meme -- and that's why she decided to sing it on the 'Truth' demo. On social media, Lizzo said producer Ricky Reed was the only other person in the room when she wrote 'Truth.'

She says Justin and his brother, Jeremiah, and their reps have on at least 2 occasions acknowledged in writing they have no claim to 'Truth.'

Lizzo suspects they are trying to set up an "opportunistic" lawsuit to cash in on her hit ... which has been #1 for 7 weeks.

To be clear, she's not suing anyone ... Lizzo just wants the judge to declare all 3 songwriters -- Justin, Jeremiah and Yves Rothman -- have no right to her "Truth Hurts" profits.

Rose McGowan Sues Harvey Weinstein ... You Tried Smearing Me!!!

Published
UPDATE

12:09 PM PT -- Harvey's lawyer, Phyllis Kupferstein, got back to us ... "Once and for all, Rose McGowan will be shown to be what she is; a publicity seeker looking for money. From the moment she sought a multi-million dollar payout in return for not making these baseless allegations, which we rejected, we knew that she was waiting for an opportune time to begin this." She continued on ... "We will demonstrate that this case has no legal merit."

Rose McGowan is going after Harvey Weinstein and his former attornies ... claiming they conspired to smear her and discredit her rape allegations against the disgraced studio mogul.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... McGowan claims "this case is about a diabolical and illegal effort by one of America's most powerful men and his representatives to silence sexual-assault victims."

McGowan -- who is also suing Weinstein's ex-lawyers, Lisa Bloom and David Boies -- claims back in 2016 she was going to write a memoir and motivational book called "Brave" that would include details about Weinstein allegedly raping her in 1997 at the Sundance Film Festival.

She then claims that when Weinstein learned about these plans, "he tapped into his team of fixers" with the goal of ensuring McGowan's story never saw the light of day ... "and -- if it did -- that no one would believe her."

McGowan then alleges Weinstein's lawyers -- in conjunction with the international spy agency, Black Cube -- worked together and "tried to steal McGowan's unpublished book" and attempted to buy her silence. She claims that Weinstein's plans were that if they couldn't stop her, they'd do everything in their power to ruin her reputation.

What's more ... she brought up what we had previously reported -- McGowan insisted Weinstein may have had a hand in having coke planted in her wallet back in 2017.

She claims, in docs, her lawyer, Jose Baez, advised her to drop that defense and instead plead no contest, which she did. McGowan says it's odd that 9 days after she pled no contest, Baez then signed up as Weinstein's criminal defense attorneys.

The actress, of course, is one of the first women to accuse Weinstein of sexually assaulting her. She helped spearhead the #MeToo Movement, which prompted scores of women to come forward.

McGown is suing for damages. A rep for Lisa Bloom tells us, "It is inexcusable that Ms. McGowan chose to include my client in her lawsuit. Facts matter. There is simply no credible factual or legal basis for her claims against my client. We look forward to our day in court to set the record straight."

We've reached out to Boies, so far, no word back.

Toronto Raptors Prez Masai Ujiri Off the Hook In NBA Finals Cop-Shoving Incident

Published | Updated

Two big wins for the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday ... they beat the Pelicans -- and team President Masai Ujiri beat a battery charge.

Remember, Ujiri was accused of shoving a Sheriff's deputy in the moments after the Raptors won the NBA championship back in June. The officer claimed he suffered a concussion and a jaw injury in the altercation.

Cops investigated for months ... and on Tuesday evening -- right around the time the 2019-20 NBA season kicked off -- the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office finally announced they would NOT charge Ujiri with a crime.

"The District Attorney's Office has determined that no criminal charges will be filed in the matter," they said in a statement.

"Mr. Ujiri attended a meeting with the District Attorney's Office focused on matters that we believe merited constructive, structured mediation and conflict resolution and were better handled in a setting outside the courtroom."

Officials say investigators conducted a "thorough review of the entirety of the matter" and ultimately decided against charges.

"Both Mr. Ujiri and the Sheriff's Dept. were made aware of and were in agreement with the decision to handle this matter by way of the meeting, which took place on Monday Oct. 21, 2019."

"There will be no further action taken by the D.A.'s Office."

Unclear if the alleged victim will take civil action -- but where there's money, there's usually a lawsuit ... and Ujiri and the Raptors have money.

Stay tuned ...

Lori Loughlin Faces New Charges ... In College Bribery Scandal

Published | Updated

Lori Loughlin and her husband are getting hit with even more charges in the college admissions scandal, and this time prosecutors are going after them for bribery.

The U.S. Attorney out of Boston just filed a charge called Federal Program Bribery. Translation -- prosecutors say Lori bribed officials of a university that receives federal funding.

As we reported, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly paid $500,000 to mastermind Rick Singer to get their daughters into USC, and they faked a photo making it appear their girls were adept at rowing.

The new charge carries a maximum 5-year prison sentence. They've already charged them with various other crimes that could land them in prison for 40 years.

TMZ broke the story ... the U.S. Attorney is more open than ever for a plea bargain in Lori's case, especially after Felicity Huffman got sentenced to a scant 14 days behind bars. Prosecutors know the probation department and the judge who heard Felicity's case are not sympathetic to long sentences, because in their view no one really lost anything because of the alleged parental misdeeds.

Piling on a new charge could bring Lori and Mossimo to the bargaining table. On the other hand, they have vowed to fight the charges and are preparing for trial.

Blac Chyna Turned Deposition into Photo Shoot ... Say Kardashian Lawyers

Published | Updated

Blac Chyna allegedly used her time with Kardashian family attorneys to change outfits, strike poses and take photos ... when she was supposed to be answering serious questions.

According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ ... BC was scheduled to appear on September 24 for a deposition in her lawsuit against the Kardashians. The Kardashians claim it got off to a bad start when Chyna showed up more than 90 minutes late for what was already scheduled to be a 7-hour session.

But, what REALLY pissed off the Kardashians' legal team was BC allegedly holding up the deposition by engaging "in a photoshoot during the lunch break."

That's right ... in docs, team Kardashian says Chyna brought a suitcase filled with several wardrobe changes and snapped off a not-so-quick photo sesh for Fashion Nova while at her lawyer's office.

One of the outfits included a black trench coat/dress. She captioned that picture, "Stepped into the office to handle some business."

The Kardashians' lawyers beg to differ. According to docs, Chyna did everything but handle biz. They claim she was uncooperative, and her lawyers had to coach her throughout the deposition.

As we've reported ... BC's suing the Kardashians claiming they threatened to pull 'KUWTK' from E! and take it somewhere else if the network didn't put the kibosh on Chyna's spin-off reality show.

Elliott from 'E.T.' Arrested for DUI Mug Shot Screams 'Ouch'

Published
UPDATE

10:31 AM PT -- Henry was released on his own recognizance around 9:30 AM this morning.

Elliott from 'E.T.' went from riding a bicycle under the influence of an alien ... to allegedly driving a car under the influence of a terrestrial substance.

Actor Henry Thomas was arrested Monday for DUI in Oregon. The Tualatin PD -- the agency that picked him up -- tells TMZ ... another motorist called 911 around 8:30 PM to report that someone was stopped in the middle of a residential intersection.

We're told that when cops arrived, they found Henry passed out behind the wheel, and officers had to wake him up. Although we're told that Henry's car didn't reek of booze to the police, they took him to the Washington County Jail on suspicion of DUI based on other signs of being intoxicated, which the Tualatin PD wouldn't clearly convey to us.

Either way, he was booked for misdemeanor driving under the influence of intoxicants. Of course, Henry posed for this bleary-eyed mug shot too. As of now, it doesn't seem like he's been released yet. Presumably, cops are letting him sober up in jail.

The guy is obviously most known for his lead role as young Elliott from Steven Spielberg's iconic 1982 film, in which he befriends an extraterrestrial. He's gone on to act in tons of other stuff over the years ... most recently, in Netflix's "The Haunting of Hill House."

When it comes to this though ... ya gotta wonder if Henry was given his one "phone home" call. We can only hope so!!!

Lori Loughlin More Likely to Cop a Plea ... After Felicity's Sentence

Published | Updated

Lori Loughlin may not go to trial after all in her college admissions case, because our sources say there's an opening now for a plea bargain in the wake of Felicity Huffman's superlight sentence.

Multiple sources involved in the various college admissions cases say Lori's big break came with the probation department's sentencing report for Felicity ... specifically, the part where the dept. says no one suffered a loss as a result of the actress's conduct. Prosecutors argued someone who took the SAT was probably denied admission somewhere because Felicity's daughter scored higher than she should have because of a rigged test. Probation said ... not the case.

As we reported, our U.S. Attorney sources tell us prosecutors wanted a year behind bars for Felicity. The fact that they only got 14 days, and the probation department would have been fine with no prison time and straight probation has caused concern for the U.S. Attorney.

Prosecutors, we're told, are worried it will become an embarrassment for the office if Lori goes to trial, gets convicted and gets a short sentence. And remember, Felicity rigged an SAT test that potentially affects every applicant. With Lori, even though she paid way more ($500,000), the bribe didn't really affect anyone else.

Sources with direct knowledge on the subject tell us the U.S. Attorney is open to plea discussions, and that is far more likely now that a possible sentence for Lori could be measured in weeks and not years. Remember, if you look just at the charges, Lori faces a maximum of 40 years. It won't look good if prosecutors go to trial, win a conviction and she gets 3 or 4 weeks behind bars.

So, the smart money now ... plea bargain before trial.

Oscar De La Hoya Denies Sexual Assault Allegation ... 'Completely False'

Published | Updated
UPDATE

6:02 AM PT -- 10/22 -- Oscar De La Hoya is firing back at the allegations -- claiming the lawsuit is bogus and calling himself a "prime target" for a false lawsuit.

UPDATE

"A frivolous lawsuit was filed recently alleging that Oscar De La Hoya sexually assaulted ‘Jane Doe,’ which is completely false," Oscar's rep said in a statement.

UPDATE

"Oscar is a very successful businessman, running one of the country’s leading sports and entertainment companies – thus a prime target. It is worth noting that both recent lawsuits have been filed by the same attorney who is looking to make a name for himself. We vehemently deny these allegations and look forward to vigorously defending Oscar’s good name and reputation."

Oscar De La Hoya is being sued by a woman who claims the boxing legend sexually assaulted and battered her during a booze-fueled 2017 hookup ... and the allegations are graphic.

The woman who filed the suit uses the alias "Jane Doe" to protect her identity -- but describes herself as a licensed vocational nurse who met Oscar in 2016.

In her suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Doe admits the two had an ongoing consensual sexual relationship, but says things went awry in Nov. 2017 when he invited her over to check out his new house in Pasadena.

Doe claims Oscar had bottles of alcohol and "a bag of what appeared to be cocaine" in his kitchen when she arrived -- and she claims it became clear, he was on a mission to get wasted.

After Oscar became intoxicated, she claims the boxer invited her to the bedroom to hook up -- and during the encounter, he asked if she was down to "experiment" sexually.

Doe claims she declined various unusual requests and Oscar became frustrated -- but things came to a head when he "ultimately held her down with one arm while forcefully trying to insert his fist into Plaintiff's vagina."

In her suit, Doe claims she "repeatedly said no and demanded that De La Hoya stop. However, De La Hoya overpowered her and suddenly and forcefully pushed his hand and fist into Plaintiff's vagina."

Doe claims she screamed in pain and yelled at Oscar -- but he just laughed and told her to take a shot of alcohol. The woman claims she refused the booze and angrily left the house.

After the incident, Doe claims she "felt extreme swelling and pain for which she was prescribed medication at urgent care."

She also "sought treatment with a Doctor of Psychology and Certified Sex Therapist who diagnosed Plaintiff with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder arising from the sexual battery by De La Hoya."

The woman does not say in her suit if she ever filed a report with police.

Doe claims she still suffers from extreme distress, humiliation, indignation and outrage -- along with depression, anxiety and related symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder.

In her suit, filed by attorney Greg Kirakosian, Doe is demanding unspecified damages for sexual assault, sexual battery, gender violence, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

We reached out to multiple people in De La Hoya's camp multiple times -- so far, no word back.

Gervonta Davis Cuts Check In Mall Assault Case ... Charge Dropped

Published | Updated

Gervonta Davis is officially off the hook in his ATM assault case -- after officials say the boxing superstar made things right with his alleged victim ... using cold hard cash.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... 24-year-old Davis allegedly got physical with a man at an ATM at an upscale outdoor mall in Virginia on Feb. 17. And, when cops arrived, the situation got even CRAZIER.

Cops say Gervonta "directed derogatory and offensive language" at them ... and pics obtained by TMZ Sports show a clearly heated Gervonta speaking with one of the officers.

Davis was later charged with one misdemeanor count of assault -- and was facing up to 1 YEAR in jail for the crime.

But, a court official tells TMZ Sports the charge was formally dismissed on Monday ... saying Davis reached a deal with prosecutors.

According to the official, Davis agreed to write the alleged victim a check for injuries suffered in the incident. Officials would not say how much Gervonta forked over. But, in exchange, prosecutors dropped the charge.

It's good timing for Gervonta ... the Floyd Mayweather protege has seen his stock soar over the past year -- and at 22-0, he's in line for some BIG MONEY fights.

We've reached out to the boxer for comment ... but so far, no word back.

Cuba Gooding Jr. Alleged Butt Grab Captured on Video ... Accuser Claims in Lawsuit

Published

Cuba Gooding Jr. can claim he never grabbed a server's butt at TAO Nightclub, but she says there's video to prove she was assaulted by the Oscar winner.

Natasha Ashworth says she was working at TAO in NYC in the early morning hours of Oct. 24, 2018 and she was serving Gooding's table at the club. In a lawsuit filed Monday in NYC, Natasha says he asked her, "Do you want to see my impression of a penis?"

She responded, "No," but according to her ... Gooding drank from his glass, and began spitting liquid out of his mouth. Natasha says she just walked away from him.

But, according to the suit ... they ran into each other again near the end of her shift, around 4:20 AM -- and Gooding allegedly used his right hand to pinch Natasha's right buttock. She says she told him, "Don't touch my butt." She claims he replied, "Aw, that's no fun ... and I didn't, I touched your back."

Natasha says she grabbed Gooding's arm and told him to leave. In the suit, she says a club promoter who was with Cuba urged him to stop, but the actor pushed the promoter out of the way. She claims Gooding went to a manager, attempting to explain away his contact with Natasha as innocent.

She claims Gooding stormed out in a huff and said, "You don't have to worry, because I am never coming back here again." In docs, Natasha says there are surveillance videos -- from 2 angles -- that capture the alleged butt grab.

Natasha is suing Gooding for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Her allegations first came to light last week when Gooding was marched into court where NYC prosecutors slapped him with 2 new charges of forcible touching and sexual abuse in the third degree.

Cuba's attorney, Mark Heller, tells TMZ ... the lawsuit "is a welcomed confirmation of the money grab that clearly was the motivation for the accuser’s accusations."

As for Natasha's claim of video evidence, Heller says, "A review of the video which recorded the entire encounter does NOT support the accuser’s accusations and we hope that the DA will release the video to TMZ, so that the world can see how inappropriate these accusations are and how shocking it is that the DA’s office is pressing another false claim against Cuba.”

Lori Harvey Cited for Hit & Run in Bev Hills ... Released On-Site

Published
UPDATE

10:06 AM PT -- TMZ just got a hold of photos from the crash scene, and it looks like it was pretty dramatic. Lori's G-Wagon got flipped over on its side completely, and attracted a big crowd of first-responders to help.

UPDATE
UPDATE

Lori herself was sitting down on a chair while talking to cops, and had a light being flashed on her while being questioned. It appears she was on her phone in this shot.

UPDATE
UPDATE

Clearly, she hit the other vehicle hard enough to topple her own SUV -- and with that type of force ... it's kind of a miracle no one was seriously harmed. Scary stuff.

Lori Harvey -- Steve Harvey's daughter -- allegedly smashed into another car and attempted to flee the scene, but cops nabbed her.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Lori was cited Sunday night for misdemeanor hit and run and delaying a police investigation in Bev Hills. Our sources say witnesses told responding officers they saw Lori texting and driving when she slammed into a Prius and tipped over her Mercedes G-Wagon on its side. Doesn't sound like anyone was injured.

We're told cops quickly showed up on the scene, and found Lori a short distance away ... walking down the street. Our sources say she even FaceTimed her dad, Steve, at one point while dealing with officers.

We're told Lori was not taken into custody -- she got a ticket for the offenses and was free to go. Cops say alcohol was not a factor.

Hours earlier, Lori posted videos at Nobu in Malibu. All of this, of course, follows rumors that she and Diddy recently split, after folks noticed she stopped following him on IG.

Suge Knight Hands Over Life Rights to Ray J ... Make Me Some Money!!!

Published | Updated

Suge Knight could be in prison for the rest of his life, but he doesn't want to go out a broke man ... so he's entrusting Ray J to cash in on his name.

Sources close to the former Death Row Records boss tell TMZ ... he's signed over his life rights to Ray, with the expectation he'll make the right decisions with Suge's story and make some money for him and his family while he's behind bars.

We're told Knight's been friends with Ray J for decades and trusts his business acumen and ability to choose the right projects for film, TV, book publications and more.

Our sources say a documentary on Suge and his famous record label is already being developed ... as well as a project about Tupac Shakur and there are discussions of bringing Death Row back.

On the latter, we're told it's a longshot that would require additional investors ... but Suge's letting Ray take the reins on exploring the venture.

Of course, all of this is huge for Ray J and his bank account too ... which is a nice follow-up to the lucrative $1 million deal he inked in August to get people to invest in the weed biz.

Looks like he's now in charge of 2 major enterprises -- not to mention side hustles in the headphones and scooter industries ... so business looks good.

FACE TO FACE

Suge, meanwhile, is serving hard time for at least the next decade. As we reported ... he struck a 28-year plea deal in his murder case last year, but got credit for time served and with prison overcrowding, he could be released in a little more than 10 years.

If Ray J's successful ... he could be getting out of prison and walking into a fortune.
