HERE TO HELP
TMZ.com

Consequence thought Lupus predominantly affected Black women ... but then the disease knocked him on his ass, and now he's letting men know they should be aware too.

The NY rapper tells TMZ ... his knowledge about the autoimmune disease didn't go beyond its impact on women. That all changed when he was diagnosed around 7 months ago.

Consequence says he first felt pain in his neck while giving his 9-year-old son a piggyback ride. A physician prescribed a muscle relaxer, but as time went on it got worse. He thought he'd have time to recover when the pandemic hit -- instead, Consequence says he suffered immobility and weight loss, and couldn't figure out what was wrong.

He told us the hardest part came once he was diagnosed, because his son thought he might have to say goodbye to Dad.

Consequence also suffered diabetic complications -- he says he went from Type 2 to Type 1, and has been taking insulin for about 2 months. He adds, his weight got down to a debilitating 105 pounds.

Although it's true Lupus predominantly affects Black, Hispanic and Asian women between 15 and 45 ... Consequence is sharing his battle so men know they can't ignore it. As he told us, guys gotta get informed about the symptoms.

Tamron Hall Sued for $16M Over Vaccine Episode ... My Son's No Leper!!!

Get a load of this ridiculous lawsuit -- Tamron Hall's being sued for a whopping $16 million after telling a mom during a nationally-televised episode she wouldn't want her own kid to hug the mom's unvaccinated son.

Jeanine DiAngelo just sued Tamron individually and on behalf of her son, claiming they were embarrassed after Tamron compared her son to a "leper" during an episode about vaccinations that aired on ABC back in September 2019 ... this according to docs obtained by TMZ.

In docs, DiAngelo claims Tamron said she would NOT let her son anywhere near DiAngelo's son much less hug him because he's not vaccinated. DiAngelo says Tamron violated NY law by discriminating against her and their religious beliefs.

What's more ... she claims Tamron wasn't prepared for the segment ... arguing Tamron's lack of education on the topic caused her and her son to suffer colossal emotional distress.

Thing is ... the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said, should parents choose NOT to vaccine their kids, they should be prepared for the risks and responsibilities that come with that. One of those risks ... parents with kids that ARE vaccinated are probably told to stay clear of kids who aren't.

DiAngelo's suing Hall, Disney and the production company for $16 million in damages. For what it's worth ... Tamron did hug DiAngelo's son.

We reached out to Tamron for comment ... so far, no word back.

In her post, she said, "We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough."

She continued, "We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever."

Jack was the couple's third child ... they have a daughter, Luna, and a son named Miles.

Chrissy ended her post saying, "We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience.  But everyday can’t be full of sunshine.  On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it."

As we reported, John and Chrissy made the surprise pregnancy announcement when he released his music video for the song "Wild" in August ... revealing a pregnant Teigen at the end.

John Wayne Bobbitt Facing Another Amputation ... Gnarly Foot Photos!!!

John Wayne Bobbitt -- yes, that John Wayne Bobbitt -- is facing the very serious reality of losing another body part ... this time, his left foot.

If you need a reminder -- Bobbitt's name became notorious in 1993 when his wife Lorena cut off his penis while he was asleep and threw it out her car window. He got it reattached successfully, but for more on that story ... look it up.

As for his current foot problem ... John tells TMZ he was working construction in Buffalo in 2013 when he stepped on a nail, which went through his boot and punctured a toe on his left foot. He says it became infected a couple months later.

Bobbitt says he got treatment at 2 different hospitals, but a doctor later diagnosed him with osteomyelitis -- an infection of the bone in his left foot.

We're told John has been aggressively treated with antibiotics, but the infection never fully healed. Now, he says he's back in a hospital in Las Vegas, and as you can see for yourself ... it doesn't look good!!

Bobbitt says doctors are telling him the bone is so infected they need to determine whether or not to amputate.

JWB's got his fingers crossed for the left foot decision, especially because -- get this -- he already lost a toe on his right foot last year! He says that little piggy was also infected after an accidental cut.

We don't believe in curses, but ... damn.

TMZ.com

"Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro is sparing no details of his horrific bowling accident, but says the gruesome injury's left him more grateful than ever ... for his family and the doctors who saved him.

Jersey's other Boss joined "TMZ Live" Tuesday to give his account of the freak bowling accident, telling us he's got a long road to recovery ahead due to severe tendon, nerve and muscle damage to his right hand.

Word of warning ... if you're enjoying a piece of cake -- or any food -- right now, finish up before watching Buddy's description of the pinsetter machine impaling his hand.

He also revealed it wasn't just his hand that was severely injured 😬 ... and gushed about the amazing job his family did to free him from the evil machine to get him to a hospital.

As for the road to recovery ... the "Cake Boss" told us it's gonna be a long one -- but he said it's giving him a newfound appreciation for the medical pros doing miraculous work to fix his hand.

Paramedic Jet Suit Takes First Flight in UK ... Could Be a Lifesaver!!!

TAKING TO THE SKIES
Gravity Industries

It's a bird ... it's a plane ... it's a flying medic speeding through the air to go save lives!!!

That's the hope of the UK's Great North Air Ambulance Service anyway, which tested what's believed to be the world's first paramedic jet suit over the mountainous terrain of the Lake District ... in collaboration with Gravity Industries.

Check it out -- Gravity founder Richard Browning carries out the test flight, and is able to gloriously reach the "casualty site" -- unreachable by vehicle -- in less than 90 seconds! It would have taken 25-30 minutes on foot.

Obviously, that huge time saver in an emergency situation could be the difference between life and death.

Andy Mawson, director of operations at GNAAS, came up with the idea and described the test flight as "awesome." He says he saw the need for the flying paramedic because there are dozens of patients monthly within the complex geographical region.

Mawson says the jet pack exercise demonstrates huge potential of delivering critical care services quickly and effectively.

He adds ... "If the idea takes off, the flying paramedic will be armed with a medical kit, with strong pain relief for walkers who may have suffered fractures, and a defibrillator for those who may have suffered a heart attack."

And, again ... it just looks awesome too.

Chrissy Teigen Hospitalized for Severe Bleeding ... Says Baby Boy in 'Danger Zone'

THE SITUATION ...

Chrissy Teigen's in the hospital due to heavy bleeding during the pregnancy of her third child, and though she says it's scary right now ... she also says her baby boy's still doing well.

It sounds really bad ... Chrissy says her placenta's been bleeding for about a month, but it got much worse over the weekend. She had a pretty vivid description, saying ... "Like if you were to turn a faucet onto low and leave it there."

The supermodel, chef and TV host is still keeping fans informed by posting lots of video from her L.A. hospital bed. The good news -- Chrissy says the doctors are taking great care of her, she feels really good and her baby is "so healthy, growing stronger than Luna or Miles" ... her 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son with John Legend.

She adds that her baby is "just the strongest little dude," but he just so happens to be "in the sh***iest house" -- Chrissy's description of her weakened placenta.

Chrissy says she's taking her meds and remaining on bed rest like she's supposed to, and they have to just relax and try to get through the "danger zone" of the next few weeks ... then things will be looking much better.

BTW -- John was at her side in the hospital room, and whipped some sandwiches at one point before getting some Zzz's in a chair.

Breonna Taylor Case Folks In Louisville Find It Hard To Cope ... Seek Mental Health Help

The decision not to charge the cops who killed Breonna Taylor has taken its toll on an untold number of Louisville residents, who are having a hard time coping.

We've learned there's been an increase in the number of Louisville residents seeking mental health help and are citing Breonna's case as the reason.

Joe Nalley, CEO of Kentucky Mental Health Care, tells TMZ ... the day after the announcement they saw 30 new clients, and a third of them cited Breonna not getting justice as the reason.

Millicent Cahoon, founder of Therapists for Protester Wellness, tells us their crisis hotline -- an emergency call line that provides people with psychological help -- has been ringing off the hook since the announcement ... and they've needed 10 therapists minimum on the line to handle the volume.

The organization has also set up booths offering free mental health services to protesters.

Tiffany Farmer, owner Best Life Mental Health Services in Louisville, tells TMZ ... she got 5 referrals for new clients the morning after the decision, directly in response to Breonna's case.

At Kentucky Mental Health Care, we're told 90% of clients are bringing up Breonna with their therapists, mostly saying any hope of justice is gone. There's also been a spike in prescriptions for anti-anxiety medication, including 17 new requests in a single day instead of the normal 4 or 5 Rx's.

Meanwhile, at Best Life Mental Health Services, we're told at least 70% of clients are frequently discussing Breonna in therapy and are seeking help processing what just happened.

We're told folks are unsure how to talk about the case with their loved ones, afraid of what it means for their life and safety, and some Black women are left thinking their lives don't matter.

Dr. Oz Tyrod Lung Injury More Common Than You Think ... Accidents Happen!!!

COMPLICATIONS HAPPEN
TMZSports.com

Dr. Oz says L.A. Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor's lung injury is really unfortunate, but likely nothing to freak out about ... telling TMZ Sports these accidents happen!!

Taylor was a late scratch prior to last weekend's game against the Chiefs ... after the 31-year-old suffered a punctured lung while receiving a painkiller injection for a cracked rib.

This isn't an everyday injury, so we hit up the Doc to make sense of it all ... and he gives a great explanation of what exactly happened.

But, the REAL question on everyone's mind -- is TT gonna be okay?? Oz is optimistic.

"Every doctor who has ever numbed someone's ribs knows it's a potential complication," Oz tells us.

"I don't think Taylor is gonna be getting many more injections in there, I suspect, and I'm hoping the hole is a very small one because the needles we need and use to numb up the nerves are very small."

"So hopefully it recovers on its own and by game 3 or 4 rather, it will be forgotten

As for the doctor responsible for the mishap, Oz thinks it'll be a learning experience moving forward, saying, "I mean, doctors make mistakes. The key for us is that we own it and improve from it."

Get well soon, Tyrod!

College Football Army Player Headbutts Coach ... With Helmet On!!!!

Being a little too rah-rah backfired immediately on a college football coach calling shots for the Army -- he got headbutted by one of his own players ... who still had their helmet on.

Indeed ... ouch. This went down Saturday when a sideline coach tried congratulating an offensive lineman during a timeout, after the Army Black Knights got on the board against the Cincinnati Bearcats. This is something players often do to each other -- the distinction being ... both parties are usually still wearing helmets.

Unfortunately, this coach and lineman seemed to forget that. Check it out ... coach comes up for some sorta embrace, but the OL must've thought he wanted to go noggin-to-noggin -- 'cause he went head-first into the guy's face, knocking him back and making him stumble.

The coach is visibly disoriented as he tries to regain his composure and others around him make sure he's okay. Frankly, he might have suffered a concussion -- it was a hard hit.

#59 definitely felt bad -- you can see he stuck around too to see if his coach was alright. It's unclear if he was treated for a head injury or not, or if he just shook it off. Either way, it's a very healthy reminder that football can be dangerous ... on and off the field, apparently.

BTW, bad juju might've been unleashed for the rest of the game ... Army's down by 14 points right now with just 5 minutes left in the game. Use your head, folks -- just not like this.

Ron Paul Hospitalized After Medical Emergency ... During Online Broadcast

MAJOR SCARE
Ron Paul Liberty Report

Ron Paul is recovering in the hospital after suffering an apparent medical emergency while doing a live online broadcast.

The former 12-term congressman from Texas and three-time presidential candidate was in the middle of his "Ron Paul Liberty Report" live stream Friday when he suffered what appeared to be a stroke, though that has not been confirmed.

Watch the video ... the 85-year-old was opining about the economy when he suddenly started slurring his speech. His co-host was clearly dismayed as Paul struggled to speak before the video cuts out.

Paul was taken to a hospital reportedly for "precautionary reasons." Not long after the scary episode ... Paul took to Twitter and told his nearly 675k followers, "I am doing fine. Thank you for your concern."

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul -- one of Ron Paul's 5 children -- later tweeted, "Thank God, Dad is doing well. Thank you for all your prayers today."

Breonna Taylor Protesters Truck Plows Through Crowd ... 1 Person Hit

LAPD is investigating after a truck drove through a crowd protesting the Breonna Taylor grand jury decision ... sending at least one person to the hospital,

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the terrifying incident went down Thursday night around 9 PM after protesters had gathered at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Video of the incident shows the crowd chanting, "No justice, no peace" when, out of nowhere, the pickup truck plows through and slams into one person who was violently thrown back onto the road. Protesters quickly swarmed the truck, banging on it to make the driver stop ... but they fled down Sunset Blvd.

We're told the driver -- who was ID'd and detained by cops but not arrested -- claimed they were trying to escape after being attacked. Police are now investigating to see if the driver was genuinely the victim of an assault or a hit-and-run suspect. As for the protester who was hit ... we're told they were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A photojournalist told the Los Angeles Times the truck was traveling against the flow of the crowd and definitely instigated the incident.

Police are also investigating a separate incident ... after cops say a white Toyota Prius tried to drive around the same protest.

Cops say an altercation ensued after a black truck chased after the Prius and brought it to a halt but was later able to get away. Cops say that driver was also ID'd, but no one was injured.

'Cake Boss' Star Buddy Valastro Impales Hand in Gnarly Accident While Bowling at Home!!!

"Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro is recovering following a horrific bowling accident where his right hand was impaled ... and required multiple surgeries.

The famous baker suffered the gruesome injury Sunday while spending some QT with his family in the bowling alley in their home. A rep tells us there was a malfunction with the bowling pinsetter -- a problem the family's had in the past and usually a common fix, but not this time around.

We're told Buddy tried to release a bowling pin from the cage mechanism, but his right hand got lodged and compressed inside the unit. His rep described what happened next this way -- "Unable to remove his hand, [Buddy] can see a 1 1/2" metal rod slowly and repeatedly impale his hand three times between his ring finger and middle finger."

After more than 5 minutes, Buddy still couldn't get his hand free from the metal rod jammed through it. His rep says his sons, Buddy Jr. and Marco, "rushed to the garage for a reciprocating saw to cut through the metal rod" and finally got Buddy's hand free.

Buddy was rushed to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to remove the rod and stabilize the wound. A second surgery followed ... performed by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michelle Carlson in Manhattan.

The rep says Buddy will have an uphill battle given it's his dominant right hand. He faces a long road to recovery and therapy. Buddy's not exactly ready to call this a pinhead move ... but he's definitely kept his sense of humor through this painful ordeal.

He posted a pic Wednesday from his hospital bed with the caption, "I was involved in a terrible accident a few days ago... 😔 What do you think of my new accessory?"

Sending positive vibes, boss!!!

Report: Tyrod Taylor Chargers Doc Punctured QB's Lung ... In Botched Injection

Terrible news for L.A. Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor ... he reportedly suffered a PUNCTURED LUNG while getting a painkiller injection from a team doctor before Sunday's game.

Taylor was receiving treatment for a cracked rib prior to kickoff before the Bolts' game against the Kansas City Chiefs ... when he started to experience chest pains.

The 31-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital to get checked out ... and rookie QB Justin Herbert became the last-minute starter for L.A.'s 23-20 loss to the defending world champs.

Now, ESPN's Adam Schefter is revealing Taylor's condition was all caused by a team doc who accidentally punctured the quarterback's lung while giving the injection.

Taylor -- who suffered the cracked ribs in Week 1 against the Bengals -- has been listed as "week-to-week" while he recovers from the punctured lung ... but ESPN reports doctors are saying Taylor should sit indefinitely while he recovers.

Whenever Taylor DOES get back to 100%, Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn says he'll get the starting gig back from the rookie.

No word on whether the doc responsible for the injury is still working on other players at the moment ... but the NFL Players Association is investigating.

NFL's Demaryius Thomas Pit Bulls Accused of Violent Attack ... On Woman and Dog

Two pit bulls allegedly belonging to NFL wide receiver Demaryius Thomas attacked a woman and her pet dog this week causing major injuries ... and now officials have launched an investigation.

Jennifer Savage told WSB-TV in Atlanta she was hanging out on her front lawn with her own dog Thursday when out of nowhere, 2 pits went after her pooch.

"I look up, not even paying attention, and I see two pit bulls charging at me, showing their teeth and growing at me," Savage said.

The woman says she tumbled down a hill trying to protect her dog from the pit bulls -- but couldn't stop the animals from taking "huge chunks" out of her dog.

Savage says she suffered bite wounds to her arms and legs -- and needed stitches.

Her dog, Berkley, was so badly injured he needed emergency surgery.

"They shaved his entire body and there's punctures and tubes all in him," she told WSB-TV.

The news outlet says a police report identifies Thomas as the owner of the 2 pit bulls.

We're out to law enforcement but haven't heard back.

Savage told WSB-TV she's obviously very upset and wants to pursue charges against Thomas over the incident.

We reached out to DT's rep for comment but haven't heard back.

Thomas was a star WR for the Denver Broncos, Patriots, Texans and NY Jets -- but he's currently a free agent.

Thomas is a proud pit bull owner -- and even has an IG page for his dogs.

Mahomes, Watson Send Meals To Frontline Workers ... Before NFL Kickoff

Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson just came through in the clutch for each other's cities ... by donating meals to frontline workers in KC and Houston before facing off in the NFL season opener.

The Chiefs and Texans are set to kick-off the 2020 campaign Thursday night ... and the 2 quarterbacks decided to help their opposing team's city by sending some local grub to those battling the pandemic.

The reigning Super Bowl MVP decided to send some grub from Cool Runnings Jamaican Grill -- a Black-owned restaurant in Houston -- to workers at Harris Health System via Postmates.

Watson returned the favor by hooking up workers at the Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City with meals from Niecie's Restaurant, a local Black-owned soul food joint.

Let's not forget -- the last time these guys faced off on the field, the Texans blew a 24-0 lead in the divisional round of the playoffs as the Chiefs went on to win, 51-31 ... eventually winning the Super Bowl.

Great to see the superstars play nice before going head-to-head to start off the season ... football is BACK, baby!!!
