How Cooper Manning Showed Support For His Son Arch's Football Dreams
The Manning family's effectively royalty in the world of football ... do the names Peyton or Eli sound familiar? They're Cooper Manning's brothers. The family has a new star in the University of Texas quarterback Arch Manning.
And what's interesting is Arch's father, Cooper, also has a history in sports -- although it's not too similar to the careers of Cooper's brothers
We're going to check out how the Cooper made a name for himself and how he's supported his son through the early stages of Arch's football path.
Cooper Played Football for a While
So, it turns out Cooper's not too different from the rest of his family, because he has a history with football.
The former athlete was an All-State wide receiver in Louisia during his high school career, and he was set to play ball for Ole Miss, according to Bleacher Report.
However, his football career was cut short when he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis -- defined by the Mayo Clinic as narrowing of the spinal canal -- prior to the start of his freshman year.
Cooper ultimately moved on from football to prioritize his health, and Peyton later changed his number from 14 to 18, which his brother wore in high school.
He Works in Broadcasting and Investment
Cooper didn't exactly stay away from football for long, as he began creating content centered on the gridiron for "The Dan Patrick Show" in 2012.
He later joined the hosting team of the NFL pre-game show "Fox NFL Kickoff," and he's hosted a recurring segment titled "The Manning Hour" for several years.
In addition to his broadcasting career, Cooper works as AJ Capital Partners' principal and senior managing director in investor relations, where he helps manage a portfolio of hotels.
The former athlete also worked for investment boutique Howard Weil, and he was involved in its 2012 sale to Scotia Bank.
Cooper Shares Three Children With His Wife
Cooper started his family with his wife Ellen, who he married in 1999. Oh, and it's worth mentioning his spouse has athletic inclinations, too, because she helped Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans achieve its first volleyball state championship in 1986.
In addition to Arch, the couple shares a daughter named May and a second son, Heid.
May followed in her mother's footsteps and played volleyball for Academy of the Sacred Heart, where she served as a team captain.
Heid decided to stay close to his older brother when picking a college ... he's also a student at the University of Texas, Austin.
He's Supportive of His Eldest Son's Football Aspirations
Cooper's been supportive of Arch's football aspirations, and he opened up about his feelings regarding his son's career on the field on an episode of the "Subpar" podcast in September 2024.
The former athlete said seeing the attention given to his son was "nerve-wracking," and said he was "trying to enjoy it."
Cooper also stated he wanted his son to be seen as a "good teammate" above all else, as opposed to becoming the focus of "fans and critics."
He then added he wanted to see Arch "learning, getting better, and just kind of growing up" through his exposure in college football.

How Marselles Brown Was Charged With Attempted Murder
NBA star Jaylen Brown's not the only athlete in his family, as his father Quenton Marselles Brown -- who goes by his middle name -- maintained a career in professional boxing for several years.
However, the pro baller's dad found himself in hot water in August 2025, when he was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
We're going to check out how Marselles navigated his way through the boxing world ... and how he's now possibly facing time behind bars.
Marselles Brown's a Former Professional Boxer
Marselles, who stands 7 feet tall and weighs 300 pounds, maintained a career as a boxer for several decades.
Marselles started fighting professionally in 1989, and he finished out his career in 2016 with a record of 33-18-1 -- including 25 knockouts -- according to Boxing Undefeated.
He won several titles as a professional fighter, and he became the World Boxing Union's world heavyweight champion in 2016.
Marselles also worked behind the scenes in the boxing world, and he was a member of the Hawaii State Boxing Commission.
Marselles Gave His Son Important Career Advice
Marselles spoke about helping his son navigate the early stages of his professional career on the "Dad Is Not A Noun" podcast in 2024, and said he told Jaylen to skip hiring an agent prior to the 2016 NBA draft.
Jaylen left the University of California, Berkeley, after just one year to focus on his pro basketball aspirations.
Marselles recalled his son being shocked by his idea of going into the draft without an agent, and said Jaylen "thought I was crazy at first."
However, the boxer was able to convince his son to go along with the move, and Jaylen ended up playing for the Boston Celtics.
Brown's Altercation Allegedly Took Place Over a Dinged Car Door
Marselles Brown was arrested in August 2025, and we revealed it allegedly stemmed from a dispute over a parking space. The girlfriend of the alleged victim -- youth football coach Cross Tupuola -- in the incident claimed the Marselles dinged their car door, and Marselles then began arguing with Tupuola.
The pair apparently agreed to have a fight to settle things between them, and when the victim turned his back to Marselles, the boxer allegedly stabbed him multiple times. Although Tupuola tried to fight back at first, he eventually attempted to run away, and he was allegedly chased by Brown.
Tupuola and his girlfriend were able to flee the scene, and they called 911. The victim ended up in the ICU in critical condition.
Authorities later caught up with Marselles Brown, and he claimed the violent incident took place over a door ding. He was taken to a hospital and received treatment for a broken toe, scraped knees and an abrasion on his right cheek.
Marselles' Lawyer Claimed the Boxer Acted in Self-Defense
Marselles Brown's lawyer, Arnold Weinstock, later spoke to a News3LV reporter and claimed his client was defending himself from being attacked.
Weinstock said Tupuola first pistol-whipped Brown, and stated he didn't believe the boxer "initiated anything."
We obtained police documents related to the stabbing ... and there's no note of a gun.
Marselles Brown eventually appeared in front of a judge, who set his bond at $300,000. Weinstock said his client would be able to post the amount.

The MMA fighter entered the ring in the middle of Smith's subsequent match, picked up the wrestler, and body-slammed him on the mat, after which he punched Smith multiple times in the head.
Several other wrestlers entered the ring to pull Jackson off Stu, who appeared unconscious during and after the beatdown.

Wrestling reporter Sean Ross later claimed the pair's altercation had been planned ... though the punches were apparently unscripted. Syko Stu was later hospitalized, and a GoFundMe was set up for his recovery.
Raja's Actions Were Met With Widespread Disapproval
Raja's beatdown of Syko Stu went viral on social media, and it was met with plenty of reactions, many of which were loudly negative.

Kylie spoke about working with high school-level athletes in an interview with People and expressed she was happy to be able to lead "a wide range of athletes" through her coaching position.
She's a Podcaster and Philanthropist
Kylie eventually began a career as a podcaster, and she launched her own podcast, "Not Gonna Lie," in December 2024.
The podcast proved to be a hit with listeners, and it shot to the number one spot on both Spotify and Apple Music following its debut.
She's also established herself as a philanthropist, and she's helped organize an annual event for the Eagles Autism Foundation since 2022.
The podcaster and her husband helped raise over $1 million for the foundation at an event in New Jersey in June 2025, according to the Eagles' official website.
Kylie and Jason Met on Tinder ... And Eventually Started a Family
Kylie and Jason's love story's a pretty modern one -- they met through Tinder, and they made their relationship Instagram official in 2015.
The pair dated for two years before the former NFL star popped the big question, and they tied the knot in Philadelphia in April 2018.
Kylie and Jason started their family the following October, when the podcaster gave birth to a baby girl named Wyatt.
The philanthropist's family only grew from there, as she subsequently welcomed another three daughters named Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley.
She's Been Spotted With Taylor Swift
Just in case you've been in hibernation for a few years ... Kylie's brother-in-law is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who's been dating Taylor ever since 2023.
Swift showed some love to Kylie after the philanthropist gave birth to Finnley, as she liked an Instagram post commemorating the baby girl's arrival.
The singer described Kylie and Jason as some of the "realest, the smartest, the coolest" people she knew during her much-hyped August 2025 appearance on the Kelce brothers' "New Heights" podcast.

Malik Beasley How NBA Star Was Cleared in Gambling Probe
Malik Beasley's had quite the experience in the NBA, as he's gone from playing in some of the highest-profile basketball games to dealing with legal probes into his behavior off-court.
The professional hoops star made a name for himself for bringing serious talent to several teams in the league, as well as for his 2020 arrest and subsequent gambling probe.
We're going to check out how the shooting guard carved out a space for himself in the league -- and had to deal with some troubling matters in between games.
Malik Played a Single Season in College Before Joining the NBA
Beasley received several offers to play college ball when he was in high school, according to Sports Illustrated, and he eventually signed on to join Florida State's team.
The athlete only spent a single season with the Seminoles before he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 2016, and he remained with the organization for four years.
Beasley bounced around from team to team after he left the Nuggets, and he joined the rosters of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks, among others.
The professional basketball player eventually ended up with the Detroit Pistons, signing with the organization in July 2024.
Beasley Got Into Legal Trouble in 2020
Beasley found himself in hot water back in 2020, when he was arrested after authorities said he'd pointed a gun at a family who'd stopped their vehicle in front of his house in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Officials later found marijuana and a stolen gun at his residence after obtaining a warrant to search the athlete's property.
Beasley eventually pleaded guilty to one felony count of threats of violence, and he claimed he "was not in my right mind" when the incident occurred and wanted to "humbly apologize for my actions."
He was sentenced to 120 days in prison, and he was ultimately released in August 2021 after serving just 78 days.
Malik Was the Target of a Gambling Probe ... And Got Off the Hook
Beasley became the subject of an investigation into allegations of gambling, which were related to both NBA games and prop bets, in June 2025, according to ESPN.
A gambling industry source spoke to the outlet and claimed heavy betting activity centered on the athlete's statistics by at least one major U.S.-based sportsbook, beginning in January 2024.
However, Beasley's attorneys Steve Haney and Mike Schachter stated they were able to clear the athlete of wrongdoing after having extensive contact with the Eastern District of New York regarding the gambling probe.
Haney told ESPN the allegations about the athlete's supposed gambling habits had caused "catastrophic consequence" to his client, who had a prospective deal with the Pistons go up in smoke after the gambling probe commenced.

Caitlin Clark How Stalker Michael Lewis Got Locked Up in Prison
Caitlin Clark's earned herself plenty of attention as the superstar face of the WNBA ... but, unfortunately, not all of that attention has been positive.
The professional basketball player had to deal with a stalker, Michael Lewis, from late 2024 to early 2025, and he was eventually sent to prison for his extensive harassment of the athlete.
We're going to take a look at how Clark's stalker found himself behind bars after exhibiting troubling behavior centered on the Indiana Fever.
Michael Drove From Texas to Indiana to See Clark
Lewis was living in Denton, Texas, when he began trying to get in contact with Clark, sending her over 800 messages, many of which contained threatening and sexually-charged content, between December 2024 and January 2025, according to The Athletic.
Caitlin's stalker was also recorded as having driven all the way from Denton to Indianapolis.
Lewis reportedly drove past the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Indiana Fever play their home games, on several occasions after reaching Indianapolis.
Police reportedly discovered Lewis had bought tickets to a women’s basketball game at Butler University, which Clark was set to attend.
Lewis Defended His Actions When Visited by FBI Agents
Lewis' actions didn't go unnoticed by the authorities, and he was actually questioned by FBI agents in January 2025, when they found him at an Indy hotel.
The athlete's stalker downplayed his actions and messages to Clark, and claimed he was simply in "an imaginary relationship," and added his connection with her didn't "involve any threats."
Lewis told the agents he was in Indianapolis for vacation, and he allowed the agents to search his room to make sure he didn't have any weapons with him.
The agents warned him to stop posting about Clark, and they left after he agreed to be more judicious about his online activity.
He Was Eventually Arrested and Given a Prison Sentence
Lewis didn't stay out of the authorities' sight for long, as he was arrested and charged with stalking, just a few days after his visit with the FBI agents.
We obtained court documents which showed Clark had been rattled by her stalker's behavior, and she was said to have changed her public appearance schedule out of concern for her personal safety.
Lewis' appearance in court was particularly troubling, as he described himself as "guilty as charged" just after sitting down, and he told the judge to "throw me the book" before complaining about not receiving medication for unspecified issues related to his mental health.
The athlete's stalker was ultimately sentenced to two and a half years in prison, although he received credit for time already served. He was prohibited from trying to contact Clark, and he's also been banned from events related to the Indiana Fever and the Pacers.

Jalen Hurts has racked up his fair share of achievements during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles ... and we think he's ranking marrying his longtime partner Bry Burrows pretty high on that list!
The thing is, the quarterback and his spouse had actually met well before he started his NFL career ... all the way back in college, to be exact.
We're going to check out what the pro football player's wife has accomplished in her own life and see how she ended up married to the athlete.
Bry Holds Several Degrees And Works In Tech
Bry holds multiple degrees, and she double majored in Spanish and political science at the University of Alabama, from which she initially graduated in 2017.
She ended up sticking around Tuscaloosa, and later earned her MBA from Alabama's Manderson School of Business.
Her hard work at school ended up paying off, too, because she started working for tech giant IBM before she'd even finished her master's degree.
Bry filled multiple roles at the company, and she eventually began dealing with IBM's artificial intelligence-focused ventures.
Bry First Met Her Future Husband In College
Burrows' time at the University of Alabama was a game changer for another reason -- it's where she actually met Jalen for the first time!
And it's worth mentioning the NFL superstar spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide before transferring to the University of Oklahoma for his senior year.
The pair remained close for years before Bry was spotted at one of her now-husband's games in 2023, and at the time, he told Essence he knew his partner was the one for him "a long time ago."
While the athlete admitted they weren't married yet, he referred to himself as "spoken for" when speaking about his relationship.
The Athlete Eventually Put A Ring On Burrows' Finger
Hurts eventually decided to take his relationship with Burrows to the next level, and he proposed to her in September 2024.
And if you weren't convinced about their romance by now ... he referred to her as his "rock" at a press conference just before the 2025 Super Bowl, according to Essence.
Bry and Jalen held a private wedding ceremony later in the year, and then tied the knot for the second time with a big multi-day June event in Napa Valley.
Oh yeah, and the super Bowl LIX MVP and his wife attended the 2025 Met Gala together ... some date night, if you ask us!
